I went through Angie's List to find a dryer vent cleaner and Del from Arizona Vent Cleaning called me. I spoke with Del Glen about getting my dryer vent cleaned as I was getting an error message that indicated my dryer vent was clogged. He knew exactly what was wrong and scheduled for between 9 and 10am the next day. He also said they won't try to sell a bunch of services like other companies. They just do the requested job. So, 9am rolled around, 9:30, finally at 10 Del's brother Steve shows up to tell me that the job they are currently doing was running late and they won't finish and be at my house until 1pm. I had my afternoon planned out, and now I had to bust my backend to get done what I needed to do before 1:00. (If this was my business and I couldn't get a job finished which would inconvenience my next customer, I would tell then I have to come back to finish.) I rush home to be there by 1pm. So, 1:00 rolls around, 1:15, 1:20 and finally I call Del to find out why they are late. He responds by saying they are on their way. Steve arrives with his worker Callie (?) and Callie gets started right away. Immediately, Steve asks when I last had my air ducts cleaned. I don't know because I just moved into the house, and it was remodeled. He walks to my air vent, lowers the cover and says, "See?See all the dust?" I didn't see any but he must know what he's talking about. So he quotes me a price which wasn't something I could do right now, as I'm retired. Still, he kept at it, until I said OK. (So much for not trying to sell me additional services.) It's important to point out that Callie is hearing impaired, can't read lips, doesn't know ASL and can't read the written word. I only mention that Callie is hearing impaired because unbeknownst to either of us, Steve leaves. Callie finishes and he doesn't know that Steve left or where he went. I don't know either but I try to get him to understand that he is supposed to clean the air ducts. He doesn't understand me, I don't understand him. It's like we are speaking different languages and there is no way for me to communicate with this man. He's getting more and more frustrated so I offer him a glass of ice water, which he declines. Then he walks into my home and starts opening and closing my fridge, turning my water at the sink on and off, and I wondering what in the heck is going on. His frustration grows and I become fearful as I'm alone in the house with him. I call Del to explain this to him and he gets an attitude with me and says 'Steve only went to the hardware store. He'll be right back.' Fifteen minutes later Steve returns. I am beyond upset as I'm explaining what just happened. He gets an attitude with me, waves me off and says "we've been in business for 20 years and we've never had complaints." He goes on to say that he told Callie he was leaving, which Callie indicates he vehemently denies. Steve starts to yell at Callie which makes me very uncomfortable. I pat Callie's arm to indicate it's OK, I'm not upset with him. I tell Steve, "you left without letting anyone know, you leave me with a man with whom I cannot communicate, which frustrates both Callie and me." I told him to forget about the air ducts and pay him for just the dryer. And he says this: "I hope you won't hold this against us. We'll schedule for later to do you air ducts and you won't be disappointed." Not once did he or Del offer me any kind of financial compensation. In fact when I called Del after they left, he had the nerve to tell me to schedule the air duct cleaning and they will arrive on time and do a great job. Not until hell freezes over, dude. I've read through the reviews, and most of them are good. But the few that are not, had very similar experiences as I had. So, I'm sorry Del, but I will never, ever use you again and will tell all my friends, Yelp you and call Angie's list to complain as well. read more

One word to describe their services...EXCEPTIONAL....Yes from the moment the business owner himself returned the voicemail message left, my mom and I are blown away by the demeanor and personable services and understanding the urgency of the request plus it was very affordable compared to the bigger names out there. For me personally, I would rather hire an excellent small business owner for a job around my home. Boy, did the employee sent over this morning did an excellent job and went above and beyond all of our expectations. My mom Saud she has not experienced such a great job from a national brand provider awhile back when she had her previous home serviced and they didn't even spend enough time to do a good job. Unlike, Arizona Vent Cleaners who just wowed my mom and I. He also kept the areas relatively clean because he brought his own sheets to cover the areas under tge ducts and vents. Found them on Angi to clean our ducts and they seemed to know what they were talking about. Price was fair as well. But that is where it ended. They said they had a cancellation for the next day and would really like to fill that slot so we accepted and asked them to come at 8am instead of 7am since it was short notice. We where scheduled and set to go. Come 9am, nobody was there so my wife sent them a text. 9:30am rolled around with no response and no show still, my wife called and left a message. No response, no show, horrible company. Apparently they do this to people. The service techs were very nice, but the owner is an A**h*le. I was told by the owner himself what services they would provide me, but when the techs arrived that isn't what I received. When I called to question why I wasn't getting what I was told, the owner started arguing with me and told me I was mistaken. I know what I was told because I wrote it down exactly as the owner told me on the phone when I made the appointment. Also, apparently they offer senior and military discounts, which is stated on the side of their van. I let the techs know I was both a senior and a veteran and showed both my military card and my drivers ID, but I was denied the discount because I would have to get permission from the owner first. Due to the caustic behavior of the owner there was no way that I was going to subject myself to speaking to him again, therefore, I paid the tech and took the loss. From the detailed description of the process used to complete the job to the clear pride in their work, this company exceeded my expectations! I don't know that the ducts had EVER been cleaned in this forty-year-old townhome -- I'm embarrassed to say they hadn't in the 15 years I've lived here! I had no idea it was a thing!! I always feared I would be told the ductwork had to just be replaced. And, I certainly didn't think they could get as clean as they did!! Our technician showed up on time and remained focused on the job at hand until it was completed. It took a few hours and was loud (from the vacuuming), all of which was expected. **this is a review of customer service. Never actually had a chance to actually review their services*** I wish I had a chance to review the chimney cleaning I scheduled but the technician did not show up at the designated time. Things happen and it had rained that day so I was sympathetic. I had even texted the owner earlier in the day to confirm whether the cleaning was going to happen or not to which he did not reply. I did however receive a text saying they would be late a half hour before the time window ended (1 - 4 pm) but then they failed to show up at the later time that they gave for themselves.. (5:30) Also, if I don't know if they would have contacted me until I had reached out at (6:20). Considering they had told me the job would take up to 3 hours I figured it was too late anyway. I never received a phone call to reschedule or apologize instead I was told I had to call the owner. Needless to say, I'm disappointed with the company's lack of communication. We hired Az Vent Cleaners to fix our gas fireplace. They did come out and clean the fireplace but that was not really what we called them for. They did not fix the fireplace and did not return repeated calls and emails. I did speak to Glen on a random call and he said I caught him away fro his desk. He said he would call back but never did. I had a problem with my dryer, and was receiving a check vent message plus the clothes were taking much longer to dry. Called Arizona Vent and spoke to the owner Mr Glenn who gave me a detailed description of what needed to be done and a reasonable quote for the job. Kiko was our technician, very pleasant and efficient and set about cleaning the duct. Turned out it was a much bigger job than anticipated as the duct had separated and there was a buildup which potentially could have caused a fire. No problem to Kiko he had to cut a hole in the drywall to access the ducting to do the repair which he did and completed the vent clean. He also cleaned everything up when he finished. I could not be more pleased with the finished job and as a bonus my dryer is working way more efficiently as well as safely. We moved in to our house about 4 months ago and we really needed to get our vents cleaned!! (There has been considerable renovation before we lived in, and we'd done quite a bit ourselves.) We were referred to Arizona Vent Cleaners through Home Advisers and I just cannot recommend them enough!! Craig, the rep who came to our home, texted us in advance and was exactly on time. He was so thorough, and he really went the extra mile!! (He even vacuumed the corners that I hadn't gotten to!!) He gave us some great tips, pointed out some odd things with our duct work that we didn't know about. We had planned on throwing away several of our vents covers and buying new ones, but he did such a great job cleaning them that we don't even have to do that now! And Craig is a really great guy. He cleaned and sanitized all the ducts, cleaned the chimney, cleaned the fireplace, emptied the ash out of the fireplace, re-pointed the fireplace where the mortar had come out, and cleaned out our dryer vent. If you have never had the coils vacuumed and cleaned on her refrigerator, I was amazed at how bad it was really was under the refrigerator, "kiko" cleaned the chimney and got the fireplace going. I got this company from a referral via Home Advisors. Always a little sceptical, I checked them out online. Most positive reviews compared to other companies in the valley. So I gave them a call. Dell Glenn (Owner) explained the whole process - and it was impressive. Kiko & Tommy (Technicians) came out as agreed and spent 4 hours going through my 1900 square foot home - 11 registers. In addition, they cleaned my refrigerator and freezer coils. Here is my reaction: What Dell told me they would do - they did - expertly! Kiko and Tommy worked hard and efficiently, providing information on what they found. What Dell quoted me was what they charged. No trying to add on, or up sale the job. (Dell said there is nothing to add because they do it all and quote complete price upfront.) I had checked with another company and was quoted much less. But when I asked what was covered, they would have done less than half what Arizona Vent Cleaners did. I assume they would try to upsell - add on - different services when they came out. Dell's services include it all and the price reflects it. Like cleaning the vents or cleaning with anti-bacterial solutions. They also included cleaning the air conditioner coils. I have mixed feelings about my service. The cleaning was great. We were having problems with allergies and I can already tell it's going to help. They seemed to do a thorough job & compared to the last time we had this done on our previous house, this was much more detailed and at a good price. Plus they took a lot of stuff out of my dryer vents. Communication was a bit challenging. There was a problem (miscommunication? misunderstanding?) about my first scheduled time so it had to be moved to the end of the week. That was fine except I was made to feel like it was my fault, which annoyed me. The 2 techs who came to our house didn't speak English well so we had a hard time communicating with them. That was frustrating. So why 3 stars? They left A MESS. They vacuumed the obvious stuff but my vanity table, the downstairs bathroom, a shelf & sofa in our loft and my bed (!!) are all covered in dust and dirt. I'm still finding places that need to be cleaned. We just had people over so my house had just gotten a total cleaning yesterday. Now I need to do it all over again. read more

They came out to clean my vent ducts on Friday. When they left my ac would not turn off. Worked perfect before they came. I had to go to the breaker outside because my thermostat was no longer connected to my ac unit in the attic. Called them back on Saturday and they promised to be out by 5 pm to fix it. No show. Called them back on Monday. Guy comes out to troubleshoot. Come to find out the guy on Friday left the duct cleaning brush tangled in my wires in the attic. The vents were disgusting and had construction debris as well as the many families that have lived in it before . He even made my bathroom vent start working again at no extra charge. If I could give zero I would. Called this company to clean our air ducts, I was promised that three guys would come and it would take four hours. When they showed up it was only one guy and he finished in three and half hours. Clearly the job was rushed. The guy who came did not wear booties and put a grease stain on our white rug. The sweeping part of the job was finished with in five minutes. After he left I am noticing as much dust coming on my furniture as before . When I emailed the company the following day I never got a respond. It's been three days now and apparently they are not going to call me back.
