Omg just had dinner at this location.... Best services i have ever recieved anywhere. Brian was our server and came around consiatantly to check on our progress throughout our entire experience. I had specific dietary needs of no sodium, no sugar, and no carbs. He went above and beyond to find out what my options were. He made sure I was well acommodated form my food to my drink. I came here on Sunday 1/5/2020 with a friend. We've had good luck at this location previously with service and wait times, but when we came on Sunday, things did not go well. We got to the restaurant at around 6-6:30 PM and checked in with the hostess. Now mind you that at other locations they ask for your phone # and that way they can alert you to when they have a spot available, but the hostess didn't ask for anything, just our name and how many of us it was (we were 2 people total). We gave her this information and the hostess told us it was going to be a 10-15 minute wait. My friend and I were like "oh, cool, no problem" and we went to sit outside since the inside waiting area was packed with people, which is not unusual for a Sunday evening. We saw more party of 2s check in while we waited, but nothing crazy. We busied ourselves outside with our phones and some chit chat. We eventually got cold after about 20 minutes outside and went inside to wait in the warmth. Now, 20 minutes is no big deal to wait for since we understand that the restaurant might get busy with large parties, special orders, etc. So we waited some more. Eventually, we started noticing people getting their tables before us, even though we had gotten there waaay before them. We shrugged it off as they probably checked in on the app beforehand. But we started noticing more and more parties of 2 getting seated before us, so it seemed suspicious that we had, at that point, waited about 30 minutes. Again, we don't mind the wait since we get that they're super busy but it just seemed off. I asked my friend if someone had notified him of the extended wait time and he said no. Once we realized we weren't getting a table anytime soon, my friend went to go ask how much more of a wait it was going to be until we got seated. The hostess then, very rudely and with attitude, told my friend "We called your name A WHILE AGO" and then asked if we "Left a phone #" like are we supposed to leave a calling card or something? We were both pretty upset at this point because a) she did not ask for my friend's phone #, b) did not bother to go outside and call out my friend's name when she noticed that no one stood up inside, and c) gave us attitude for something that was not our fault. We totally understand that sometimes these places get full and miscommunication happens, but do not give a customer attitude, especially if said customer was never rude to them beforehand. Overall, the hostess' lack of professionalism really showed and it put a sour taste in both of our mouths. After about 45-50 minutes of waiting, we were FINALLY seated, our amazing server Crystal helped us out (thanks Crystal!). Since we had waited a while, we immediately ordered our food and drinks. We also asked Crystal if we could speak to the manager regarding our experience out with the hostess and she immediately got him. We told the manager about what had happened and how the hostess gave us attitude and 0 notice as to when my friend's name was called. He apologized and said he would speak to her. Immediately after speaking to us, I saw him walk towards the hostess and speak to her, but we didn't know about what exactly. We did, however, notice that after the manager spoke to her she would then walk outside if no one would stand up inside once a name was called. The rest of the evening went by and we got our appetizers, drinks, food and desserts really fast, which was really nice on the part of the servers and management team. Chili's great restaurant the coldest beer in town even the glass has frost. We go once a month on Sunday morning. Open at 11 but daring NFL 10:AM workers are very friendly & helpful. I love the mouth watering bacon hamburgers my wife love the combinations plates. They have great price on everything that's on the menu. Let me tell you about the workers I lost my Iphone I ask the waiter they call my number quick and you could here it ringing the other waiter pick it up by the restroom I'm talking fast response. I come to this chili's A LOT! When ever I come the service is good to me! I come either before 1 or before 4 and it's not busy. The service is fast and the employees are nice and welcoming. This time I went in later which was at 8pm and the guy who waited on us was amazing! He was super fast with the service and we didn't feel rushed at all. His personality is very sweet. He gives good recommendations on the margaritas and food. He is very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. I recommend TIM as your server!! He needs a raise. Update!!! Came back tonight to have Brandon the manager help us! Such an amazing manager. We only come back because of him. He trained the store to be even better and faster. Had the best experience this past weekend at Chili's. Our server Melinda or as she had it on her badge Mel was the best ever. She was so sweet and awesome and very very quick at helping us with our drinks and our food. She is the sweetest person there. Our food was great it was made perfect especially with my mother who can only eat certain foods. Mel make sure that my mom's food came out to her liking. I've been to this location a few times and each experience is worse than the last. To start off they never have a host and on my last visit we waited until the manager noticed we hadn't been seated. Then he tried to sit us in the tiniest ugly booth. The place wasn't even busy and I felt insulted because I asked if we could sit somewhere else and he said that was what he was offering. He even asked why I wouldn't sit there. I felt bad because my nephew likes this place so I just settled down. We ordered but I was upset and lost my appetite. Horrible experience!! Applebee's was our first choice to eat dinner, but decided to drive to Chillis because there was a long wait there. Very bad choice we made!! Our waitress was completely zoned out and not attentive at all. She got my one of my appetizers wrong and then charged me extra when I told her about it. She also failed to bring us another one of our appetizers and said it was on the way when she didn't even check on it. We were seated at approximately 9:20 pm and at 10:28 pm, our food was nowhere in sight. Not the first time we receive bad service here. I am DONE with Chillis for good. Save your money people! Most people have experienced a Chili's at some point in their life, so a detailed run down isn't exactly necessary here, so let's point out some key things about this location that tend to stick out. This Chili's location is generally clean and well taken care of. They got a face lift this past year, and it looks good. The food is ... okay. I'm usually a fan of traditional Bar & Grill fare, but sometimes, things just seem a little off. More times than not, my food has been delivered after sitting for a while in the kitchen (You can tell it's been sitting when your plate is piping hot and the food isn't). I WILL say though that none of their food tastes or feels overly greasy, including the fried items, so there's a plus for you. Service... sub-par, at least in the dining room. I've been here 4 times in the past 4 months. Twice, we got deplorable service (once it was bad enough we had to complain since the food took over 30 minutes to arrive). Once we got awesome service (only because we had "we're sorry we messed up" certificates) and once we got amazing service, but that's because we sat in the self-seating lounge area. So basically, I've learned that sitting in the lounge/bar area is key to getting good service, as the dining room area seems to suffer. Overall, nice clean location. Food is alright, but is nothing to write home about. Service in the dining room sucks and really needs attention, you'll get better service in the lounge. read more

He was so attentive, did the absolute best of giving us the things we needed in such a timely manner. He was definitely hustling and putting in the work. OK. Two experiences, one review. My girlfriend and I decided that we wanted to eat here at Chili's, but we opted to order togo instead of dining in. So, we call our order in and they say it will be about 15 minutes. I thought that was great time, considering it was around 6-7 pm. I arrived, paid for my food and was told it would be a few more minutes. A few minutes turned into 20, I was upset but figured the food would be fresh. I got home and was ready to eat, only to discover my food was cold (Fajita Trio), all of the meats were cold and my extra fajita veggies were taken straight out of a refrigerator. I also ordered two bowls of soup, one had half of the amount of the other. So, I was upset and returned to the scene of the crime to speak with a manager. The manager had the kitchen remake my food and she offered me $25 in Chili's money. Hoo-ray! Fake money to an establishment I don't like! ----------------------------------------------------- What do you do, when you get free money to a restaurant? You go to use it! Not so in this case. I decided to dine in last night. We (my girlfriend and I) were seated promptly and were ignored faster than we were seated! We were about 20 feet from a servers station and it took over 10 minutes just for them to come and greet us. At this point I was fairly upset and told the server our situation and he didn't have any kind of remorse, he just asked if we were ready to order, twice. While I'm a fan of Chili's food, I am not a fan of their service. It seems that whenever I go there, "something" ends up getting messed up. Also, this specific Chili's seems to get extremely packed on Friday and Saturday nights. When my husband and I walked in he jokingly said, "What recession?" because it seemed EVERYONE and their mother was there. I have gotten smart though. I have the Chili's in Whittier and the Chili's in Pico Rivera programmed onto my phone and I call ahead to get put onto the waiting list. I admit that I am totally in love with their Southwestern Egg Rolls. That is my reason for going, usually. When they had removed the SWE from their menu I actually boycotted Chili's after having written to corporate and having them tell me that they would not be back. I guess a lot more people complained because they're back! While I like their food, I don't frequent this restaurant as much as I'd like to mainly because one meal can seem to take an eternity. read more

My girlfriend and I recently ate at this location (we usually go to the Chilis in Buena Park) and it was a whole different experience than what we were used to. Everything had started off great, we knew going in that we wanted to order the 2 for $20 deal and we were able to get drinks and food ordered at the same time. I didn't really have a problem with the food itself, but instead had issues with service. One of the first flags to the bad service was when I had said I wanted to order dessert our server was quick to throw the tablet our way and told us to use that to order, so he exited out of the game we were playing and put up the dessert screen. I'm sure he could have just asked us which we wanted... And that was the last we saw of him for the night. When this other guy brought our dessert he didn't clear our dirty plates which left us with no room whatsoever because we were at a small two-seater booth. The servers were all younger in the section we were sitting at, and while cleaning up a table for a party of 8 that was near us decided to talk about getting fake IDs and their party and personal life. Then, when they realized they were being loud they all went to the back. That was really the last time we saw them also (except for one of the girls who peaked out from the kitchen to check if anyone was up front) when I had made the mistake of interrupting our server for dessert I let him know I wanted to pay cash and needed our check when we were done... He never came back either. I ended up paying with my card just so I could review them and let them know I was dissatisfied. Maybe it was due to the time we got there, (which I do admit was later than usual for dinner due to my girlfriend and my work schedule) but I think we will stick to the usual Buena Park location instead. read more

We went for lunch with my coworkers. We were not expecting much, but since the place was almost empty we couldn't believe how slow the service was. Two of us ordered the "all you can eat" enchiladas and after 20 minutes we got something wrapped on tortillas. It wasn't bad but it didn't taste like enchiladas. When we ordered the second plate, we waited so long that even the server asked us if we wanted them to go (we did). Our server Sarai was absolutely sweet and very attention to detail. She checked on us frequently and brought us refills without having to ask her. She was on it! She made our experience great! Food was great! We ordered the 3 for $10 it was salad, a burger, and a mini dessert. Our bartender was Bear and she makes amazing house margaritas and my boyfriend ordered the premium Long Island. He couldn't stop raving at how good she made them. Absolutely perfect. Bear is the best bartender at chili's and Sarai is the best waitress. There was a make waiter who you could just tell loved his job because he was so smiley and friendly. Overall we had such a great time we will definitely be back! read more

First and foremost our waiter/waitress is almost always running around stressed out of their minds. HIRE MORE SERVERS! It's not their fault they have too many tables to attend to. I see the servers running from table to table. Management needs to step it up and help their staff out. Secondly the stupid gadgets on every table. I don't want to touch a dirty ipad covered in grease. I'm leaving a tip after every meal, then I expect to be able to give my cash to a server and have them check my bill out. We always seem to have a good experience here. Our server tonight, Bryan, was there whenever we needed him. And, he was friendly, and didn't make us feel rushed. My date ordered steak fajitas, which he remembered as being more tender in the past. But, he still ate every bite! My Cadillac Margarita was smooth and refreshing! I had the "new" Margarita Flatbread Salad, which is actually, just 4 pieces of the "old" Margarita Flatbread, served on a plate with "Fresco Salad". Next, time, I will ask for the dressing on the side. Then, I can eat leftover salad the next day. They heap it on the plate! And, it tends to wilt when it sits overnight in the fridge (if it has the dressing on it). Our "off menu" dessert choice: one scoop of ice cream with Chili's chocolate shell topping. I bring my family at this location once a week....... The service is usually good. Today it took 20 minutes to get seated at 2:30 pm on a Tuesday afternoon. There was no greeter..... After being seated it took another 10 minutes to get any server to come service us. Never once have I ever had a dissatisfied experience and I've been coming to this location for years. There is always a host at the door to seat you and they do their best to accommodate your requests in regards to seating, ect. The servers always do a spectacular job and are always attentive. I never wait on refills and my food always come within 10-20 mins after ordering which is very fasy service to me. My favorite plate is the quesadilla explosion salad which I order every visit unless I switch it up. They also have an option of paying on a table device they have instead of having to wait for the check like other places. Management is doing an excellent job. I always enjoy every visit! read more

I honestly felt depressed during my dining experience at this Chili's. I hadn't been to Chili's in years and forgot how much service plays a role here. Our server looked stressed and although she tried her hardest to not show it, our table felt it. Took a good amount of time for our order to be taken, took a good amount of time for a food to be served and it took a good amount of time for our check to be processed. Then there was the food, which came out dry and blah, honestly, I don't know if it's just what I should expect from Chili's or if this was really just a bad night for the kitchen I spent a good $40 dollars here for me and my wife... From my experience of the Chili's Restaurants I've been to, this has the worst service. My co-workers and I went to this Chili's for a birthday celebration at 1:15 PM. We didn't get our order taken until 1:30 PM. I ordered the Bottomless Lunch (Unlimited Soup & Salad). My order didn't come until 2:00 PM. I even had to ask several times were my complete orders was. The server didn't even come to refill our drinks or ask me if I wanted extra soup and/or salad. Furthermore, our checks are all mess up. The restaurant was empty when we were there. Extremely disappointed in my meal. Terrible quality chicken. Artichoke dip was mostly just cheese (not even melted). I've always loved their chicken quesadilla explosion salad. It was almost as if they had left it out overnight. Lettuce was stale and the cheese in the quesadilla wasn't even melted. In addition I almost hurt myself with a dirty fork that was left on the ground beneath our booth. My sister also was extremely disappointed in her sandwhich and fries. When we got here, the party before us was losing their shit over having to wait for a table. Apparently two parties who arrived after them got a table fist. They talked to the manager and left vowing to call corporate. After they left the manager blew them off and the hostess said they were just drama. Manager says something like don't leave the front along and let me buss the tables and tell you which ones are open. I'm finally able to give my name, the hostess was apologetic and I was told it be about 10 minutes. The place was deserted but whatever. The manager yells to the hostess the numbers of the corresponding tables that are ready and two separate couples come in about 3 min apart. She tells them the tables are being cleaned and will be open in a few. One of the servers comes over to help & the hostess says that she has to go see if there are any clean tables. I see that she's bussing some tables. When she comes back she asked all of us waiting who was next. Really? You didn't write names down? You are the hostess! But wait, she was bussing tables, too, leaving the hosted area alone which the manager had just told her not to do and didn't he just buss the tables himself?! Thankfully the other people waiting pointed to me and I piped up and asserted that indeed I was next. Then we meet our server, Robert. He clearly doesn't want to be there. He's polite but isn't there to make sure we're comfortable. We order, he makes no suggestions, no extra effort. We forgot that there was a difference between reg & loaded mashed potatoes. Robert could have asked but he was trying to spend this little time as possible with us. Mind you, the place is still not full! He walked by and tells us our food will be out shortly but it takes a while more to get the food. My plate is pathetic. Steak, tomatoes and garlic with some afterthought of a sauce. I'm halfway done when Robert stops by to announce that my salad will be right out. What?! I didn't even realize my entrée came with a salad. I'm 80% done with my steak and tomatoes when a salad and ranch dressing appear before me. I don't really do ranch dressing but I say nothing because I silently pray that the party that arrived before us do call corporate. This will teach me to come back to this particular Chili's. Then I remembered Yelp. The manager can't manage. His employees don't do what he tells them. We got the check and Robert didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. I gave him a dollar and change as a tip even though my receipt was helpful enough to let me know what a 15% tip was. Why doesn't it say what good service is?
