Ordered from their take out menu. My food was TERRIBLE. We order three burgers. The regular burgers had literally 4 FRENCH fries each i was like WTH? Then my Bean burger was cooked so hard I nearly broke my tooth on it LOL. The nacho order was also "mini" size. My husband picked up the order, he should have checked before he left. When you eat inside normally I guess they give you more french fries ? It looks like they split one order of fries three ways LOL. Margaritas were good. However, the food service is what gives it one star. It took 35 minutes just to get our appetizers because our server forgot to order them. The food tasted like it was sitting under the lamp heaters for a while. I had to ask 3 times to get water which is ridiculous. We paid thru their machine on the label but it didn't not print out a receipt. Again I had to ask three different people to get a printed receipt. I doubt I will come here again. read more

Beer was good after they got it right! My hubby didn't really want to eat here at Chilis on Whittier Blvd in Whittier at The Quad because it seems like the service keeps getting worse every time we go! Tonight was the final straw and we will not return except to use our gift card we were given by the manager and we will probably use it at the bar no food! So my hubby and I order the exact same thing Chicken Breast and Grilled Shrimp with Broccoli and Asparagus how hard is that????? The waiter brings us Chicken and Ribs and we said we didn't order Ribs and he said your right my bad let me take it back and correct it. We are not fans of having food sent back we didn't want to believe they would do something to our food after all we weren't complaining about how it was cooked! He should have just said go ahead and keep it and I will bring out the Shrimp but no they probably wanted to use it for somebody else! Gross!!So he brings us new plates minus the Ribs and says your Shrimp will be out shortly, so hubby downs his plate and of coarse I eat a couple Shrimp once they come out and a couple bites of Chicken and one Asparagus and I'm full due to eating too many chips with salsa so I decide to take it home, once I transfer my food to the container I find the Asparagus tag shoved in the middle of the bunch! WTF didn't you have to cook them! So obviously intentional! Hubby had a conniption, use your imagination, lots of yelling and F bombs! hopefully someone videotaped it and put it on YouTube! After the 3rd strike...I've decided to join the Yelp world and share my terrible experiences (I would of stop going a long time ago but my bf likes the rib-eye). The first time I went, they had just opened. The service was slow, food wasn't that great. Figured they still needed some time and experience. I'll let it slide. Strike 1 The second time, I went in with my bf and decided to order a bottle of wine. The waitress brought out the bottle...opened and poured it. When we tasted it, we knew something was wrong. We looked at the bottle and she had given us the wrong one. The Manager came over and yelled at us and said that we had just wasted a bottle of wine. I was trying to be very monotone with her and explain that the waitress had not shown us the bottle prior to serving it so that we could confirm it was correct. Strike 2. My third and last experience. I met my friend and her family for dinner. It was a Monday night around 5:30pm. After say, 10 mins, our waiter goes on his break. 15 mins had past and no one had been by our table. I ask another employee who was covering and they said that they would send someone right over. Hmmmm....another 10 mins past. Finally she finds us and takes our orders. With fourty-five mins we finally got 1 drink. It took 21/2 hours to get 3 drinks and 1 appetizer. To top it off at the end of the night I got charged for my meal and my friends families after requesting (not once but 3 times) that they keep a separate tab. I'm on day four of trying to get my money back...wish me luck! read more

We always seem to have a good experience here. Our server tonight, Bryan, was there whenever we needed him. And, he was friendly, and didn't make us feel rushed. My date ordered steak fajitas, which he remembered as being more tender in the past. But, he still ate every bite! My Cadillac Margarita was smooth and refreshing! I had the "new" Margarita Flatbread Salad, which is actually, just 4 pieces of the "old" Margarita Flatbread, served on a plate with "Fresco Salad". Next, time, I will ask for the dressing on the side. Then, I can eat leftover salad the next day. They heap it on the plate! And, it tends to wilt when it sits overnight in the fridge (if it has the dressing on it). Our "off menu" dessert choice: one scoop of ice cream with Chili's chocolate shell topping. Tastes just like Magic Shell from the grocery store. Oh, so yummy, and just enough to end the meal. read more

I've been sitting here with an empty cup for 30 minutes and I have yet to see my waitress...smh I take customer service very seriously. Why, you may ask? 1) because I come from a family of business owners so I was taught early in life to be customer service-centric. Granted that all these business are still standing after 30 plus years, I am assuming my grandparents and parents are doing something right and 2) my career is service based and I take a lot of pride having my clients leave my office feeling like rock stars. So. Do I walk around being a customer from hell? Not all. I believe in being kind to everyone because I deal with customers of hell on the daily. I do, however, expect to go to an establishment where I am spending my hard earn money and have a pleasant experience. Sitting at my table for over 30 minutes with no food, no drinks, no idea of what is going on with my order (this happening after being told I would have two servers taking care of me) is unacceptable. Having to flag down a waiter (any one at this point) to ask if they had forgotten about our table was unacceptable. Having to literally walk to the bar to get a refill of water is unacceptable and unless my waitress had a heart attack on her shift (which she didn't by the way) there was absolutely NO REASON for us to be neglected the way we were at this Chilis. Did I yell and scream about it? Not at all. I don't get mad. I get even....by never going back and telling everyone I know and their mother's about it. Take care of your customers or another business will gladly do so for you. Take note Chilis of Whittier. Train effectively. read more

Never once have I ever had a dissatisfied experience and I've been coming to this location for years. There is always a host at the door to seat you and they do their best to accommodate your requests in regards to seating, ect. The servers always do a spectacular job and are always attentive. I never wait on refills and my food always come within 10-20 mins after ordering which is very fasy service to me. My favorite plate is the quesadilla explosion salad which I order every visit unless I switch it up. They also have an option of paying on a table device they have instead of having to wait for the check like other places. Management is doing an excellent job. I always enjoy every visit! read more

Had such an amazing experience at chili's. The service was spot on. Bryan was our server and he really made sure anything we wanted we got. He was so attentive, did the absolute best of giving us the things we needed in such a timely manner. He was definitely hustling and putting in the work. If you ever get the chance to have him as your server you will have a guaranteed great experience. Our server Sarai was absolutely sweet and very attention to detail. She checked on us frequently and brought us refills without having to ask her. She was on it! She made our experience great! Food was great! We ordered the 3 for $10 it was salad, a burger, and a mini dessert. Our bartender was Bear and she makes amazing house margaritas and my boyfriend ordered the premium Long Island. He couldn't stop raving at how good she made them. Absolutely perfect. Bear is the best bartender at chili's and Sarai is the best waitress. There was a make waiter who you could just tell loved his job because he was so smiley and friendly. Overall we had such a great time we will definitely be back! read more

The service was trash! Makayla was our waitress and she's lucky she even got a tip! The restaurant wasn't busy what so ever and she took FOREVER to do everything. Took forever to bring out our drinks (almost as though she had forgotten about them, which she did), took forever to bring out our food (the shrimp was horrible, rubbery and cold and the chicken tenders were flavorless), took forever to bring the check and my change. We come here fairly often because it's convenient -- sometimes for lunch or dinner, sometimes for the Platinum Presidente Margarita and an appetizer. Sometimes the food and service are great; sometimes one or the other or both are lacking. I agree with the reviewer who said the drinks lately seem to be watered down. The best description of this Chili's is that it is consistently inconsistent. On a side note, the restaurant recently underwent an interior renovation -- new style, new colors, etc. While the old style had been around for awhile, it was colorful and fun and uniquely Chili's. It was part of their brand. Now the style is blah and nondescript.I don't know; I'm beginning to think that blah and nondescript is the new Chili's brand. Too bad! read more

I try to avoid reviewing chain restaurants because quite honestly everything is set to a certain standard and there's an expected uniformity in food, ambience, and even service. The Chili's in Whittier (Quad) has graciously donated 15% of all sales with a special coupon to the Whittier Community Theatre. Last night was the second time they've done this and I think it's a great community outreach for them. Since we theater folk often land at Chili's after rehearsals/performances for sustenance and drink, we throw a lot of business their way. It's nice they recognize this and throw some donation to our non-profit group. Well done, Chili's. The reason for the three stars is based on overall experiences every time I've gone and really it is a commentary on the menu. It seems that a few years ago everything on the Chili's menu was "chipotle" something or other. Now they're onto applewood smoked bacon. There doesn't seem to be much choice of the "non-trendy" menu focus. A larger variety would be appreciated. read more

This Chili's is like any other chili's. Very unhealthy American food (burgers, steaks, sandwiches, appetizers)...so if you're in the market for something healthy, run away!! We came here after finishing finals to celebrate. I got the 3 dipper- you get to choose 3 appetizers from a list. I got the mini burgers (really tasty), potato skins (okay), and buffalo wings (average). This is a nice little meal with different choices. I was actually full after eating only half of what I got but it's probably because I'm not used to eating junk food. Chili's is good if you're in the mood for it. All I know is that it's SALTY and I drank 2 mugs of water during the meal. On the bright side, our server was super nice. We wanted all separate checks and she gladly did it for us. My friend waited almost through all our meals and reminded the waiter three times to bring her soup and salad!!! Really come on its soup and salad. Staff was very friendly but when they sat us down they looked at the table then asked us if we wanted them to wipe if down(cause it was messy) umm hello what kind of question is that? So we go to Chili's since they are offering the $5 Margarita. I asked for a blinded margarita. What do I get? I get this watered-down worse Margarita I have ever had... I asked our server to take it back to have it made more slushy.... My mistake, it comes back with a shit load of form like it was poured out of a beer tap. I guess its my bad for expecting the bartender to actually know how to make a blended Margarita. I'm so disappointed! I gave two stars cause our server was pretty good.... Customer Service is all over the place here. We had an experience where we went on Father's Day and my husband's steak was overcooked and we had to send it back and the manager actually comped up the meal. We had another visit where it look close to 45 minutes to get our food and weren't even told why it was taking so long. One time I ordered the margarita chicken and it seemed like it had been sitting out awhile because the chicken was barely warm. I love their enchilada soup but everything else seems or hit or miss in terms of consistent good flavor and whether it comes out hot enough. I like Chili's in general but THIS restaurant is a hit or miss. We've gone and waited forever to get service. On other days it's been good. I can say I have never had a bad food experience. Everything I have ordered tasted the way it should. Parking can be frustrating because it is around a lot of other restaurants and stores. Just go before the dinner rush and you'll be fine. I have heard from my friend to always check your bill before paying. She have had at least a couple of times that their bill is incorrect. And so of course I did. The server was very friendly and apologized for the wait but had we known it would take so long we would have went somewhere else. We were ready to cancel our order when finally the food arrived.
