The family and I tried this place night(12/6/18). The waitress was nice but she didn't have a clue how to wait a table. She left for us there for 20-25 minute before we got drinks. After long wait, we ordered food and it too an extremely long amount of time before I food came out (party of 5). The half the food was cold and not cooked. We ended up sending my wife's food back but the manager fixed it. This place was not packed and show have better service and food. Will not return!! read more

My husband and I have been eating at this location since it opened. The food and service have always been very good to excellent. Today - however - things were awful. It was not due to lack of staffing because they had employees every where. I counted at least 10 coming and going in the dining room. One was even walking around spraying and wiping down the already clean tables (but not bussing the dirty ones). First - we checked in on the app - and still had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. Once seated we waited awhile before a waiter came to our table. We were ready to order when he finally came to our table. He brought us our drinks eventually. Then another guy brought out our salad after a few minutes. Then a girl brought out our entrees before we could take 1 bite of our salad. We had also ordered chips and salsa which never came. I had requested that my burger be well - no red. I cut it open and it was rare. I ate my fries and salad and waited for a considerable time to try and get our waiters attention. I finally had to stop one of the other waitresses and ask if she would have him come over. He took my plate - only saying they usually cook all their burgers well - and my long wait began. My husband finished his meal, looked at his phone, sat and talked - still waiting for my replacement entree to arrive. It was at least 30 minutes before my replacement burger finally arrived. This time it was cooked well and the french fries were hot and fresh. When I went to pay on their kiosk our bill was over $37 for 2 meal deals (should have been more like $25+tx). We waited again for our waiter to come by or get his attention to no avail and had to stop another waitress and ask her to send him over. I showed him that we were being charged for 3 meal deals and only gotten 2. He blamed it on someone not removing one (he had removed the chips we never got though). He came back with a new bill that was still over $30 with a $6 "comp" (as he called it) - which was still incorrect as we were being charged still for the 3rd meal (which we didn't get). He finally after going back and forth and insisting that the bill was correct - managed to get someone to deduct the cost of the 3rd meal - why still calling the credit a "comp" instead of saying he had removed the overcharge. We finally paid and left - after being at the restaurant for over one hour and 30 minutes. Here's hoping this was a rare day for this location. We eat a Chili's 2 or 3 times a month (even when we are out of town/state traveling). This has been one of our worst experiences - and this location was considered our favorite. We were actually confused as to why this location had a 2 star Yelp review - but now we know why if others have had a similarly bad experience. read more

I had to give this restaurant one star as you can't give them zero. When walking through the door we were greeted by two scruffy young men who were slouched over the front desk. (I would like to add that a notice on the door stated that all staff were wearing masks). Both greeters were wearing masks under their chins. We asked for a table for two and we're told that it would be 20-30 mins. Looking around I would say the restaurant was only 1/3rd full. I know we are in a pandemic but the other tables were dirty or empty. As soon as we sat to wait one of the greeters asked if we would like a high top. We declined so he showed us to a table next to the bar. We were pleased we got seated so promptly. We scanned to get a full menu and the lady (again mask under her chin) came and took our drink order. About 5 mins later she reached round from behind my husband and put his soft drink by his elbow. No words. He didn't even see her, had I not told him he would have knocked the glass off the table. By this time the lady was sitting on a table behind us chatting with her friends. She finally went back to the bar and made her friend another cocktail and she noticed I was looking at her at which time she made my mixed drink. It was a good 10-15 minutes until I got my drink by which time my husband had finished his. However, instead of getting him a refill she went back and sat with her friends. More time passed and she eventually came and asked us for her order. We ordered the pick 3 appetizer. Still no refill for my husband. I finished my drink and we waited. Eventually a young man who was waiting on another table noticed us and asked us if we would like another drink to which we responded, yes. He immediately went to the bar and told the lady (who had gone to refill her friends once more) that I would like another mixed drink. He then went straight away and got my husbands soft drink. By this time the lady behind the bar was deep in conversation with someone else. She poured my drink and put it in the bar. After about 5 minutes she picked it up, carried on talking, and eventually bought it to our table. I asked for a slice of lime and she leaned over the bar, picked it up with her fingers and put it in my drink. By this time we were getting a little peeved but as we were hungry and had ordered decided to wait for our appetizer. Another 15 mins passed and the lady came over and asked if we would like to start our order! I told her we were still waiting on our appetizer so she said "oh ok" and went back and sat at the table with her friends. After waiting 45 minutes I managed to get the lady's attention and asked for the check for our drinks as we were leaving. She moved quicker at that point than she had the whole time we were in there. We paid and left. With all that said. If you enjoy going to a restaurant that has staff who don't care how they look, don't care about serving customers and would rather have expletive filled conversations with friends rather than doing their job. Horrible experience. I just don't understand what is going on with this place and why it just can't deliver at the very least a consistent mediocre experience. First off it took 10 minutes for the server to make it to our table after sitting. Never got napkins and silverware. Ordered two apps at the same time, one came out 30 minutes after the other. Apparently the kitchen was very backed up. Meanwhile there were plenty of empty tables all around. App comes out, order is incorrect. Sliders are missing the bacon and cheese. Takes ten minutes for our server to stop by and ask how it is. We let her know it's wrong, she argues with us, I say it's fine just bring me ketchup for them. Never see the ketchup. Server doesn't stop by the table again for another 15 minutes. I tell her I'm not eating the sliders anymore, they're cold all because I was waiting for ketchup. Server simply says "I'm all over the place". No offer to take them off the bill. Frankly I prefer to pay for what I eat, and I shouldn't have to ask for something to be removed from a bill when it's plainly obvious I didn't eat it because of an error on the server/kitchens part. It takes another 30 minutes for the food to come out. Of course it's incorrect. My son is missing his corn on the cob, my wings are lukewarm at best, and my wife's burger is missing the bbq sauce and fries. Apparently the fries are running late. Please answer me how in the world does the food take 1 hour to come out and the fries don't even come out with it?! How do you not just have fries always on?! Your number one side item! I can't understand that. Server stops by, she asks how everything is, we inform her of the errors, I ask for refills, ketchup, because I still haven't gotten it even after the slider incident, and salt and pepper. Server brings ketchup finally, doesn't bring salt and pepper, and we're still waiting for fries. Another 10 minutes, Fries finally come out as does my sons corn on the cob, fries are overcooked and not seasoned like normally. I still don't have salt and pepper. At this point we just want to leave. Inform the server we are done, I know how to pay from the little tablet, I've done it at least a hundred times. She takes it and moves all the way to the bill, doesn't mention anything about taking off the sliders, I'm not going to ask for them to be removed, again, I shouldn't have to. It's not my job as a consumer to make sure I have a pleasant experience at a restaurant, it's the other way around. I understand it's a tough time in the world, everything is weird with covid, the service and restaurant industry is just now learning how to get back in their feet but this place has been pretty much open for business for over 9 months. The service problems have stemmed here for much longer than coronavirus. This place just can't seem to get it together consistently which is hugely disappointing. I'm fairly confident at this point people only come here due to the lack of options everywhere else in Simpsonville. Which is a shame just because this restaurant has so much potential. read more

Save your time and eat elsewhere. We arrived shortly after 2 pm, and waited a few minutes to be seated (we the first of two parties who entered at this time). The server (waitress) was slow in getting menus out but the kitchen was even slower. In 45 minutes, we were served drinks (tea & water) and our "starter" (soup & salad). When the server was asked about the entrees, we were told there was a lot of take out orders. After waiting several more minutes, we asked for the check to leave. The kitchen manager came out and gave immediate attitude and excuses. During our long wait to get food, no one, server included, checked to see if we needed more drinks or to update us on timing. Horrible service from multiple staff members. Chili's in Simpsonville, SC was a poor experience today. I can say that the soup and salad tasted pretty good but since our entrees were never brought to the table, I have no idea of their quality. The place was empty, yet our table had to wait an hour for our food to come out. When our food arrived, half of our meals were lukewarm and the portions were smaller than expected for the price. My meal, the fresh mex bowl, had under cooked rice and cold shrimp... How does one mess up rice so badly? We ordered the chicken nachos half without meat because half of our party is vegetarian. The nachos came out with both sides having meat, chicken and beef. The service was "ehh", our waitress never checked on our drinks. The whole place seems severely understaffed. To spend $65 on 2 adults and 2 kids with 1 adults meal having to be taken off the order is crazy. Staff was good but kitchen was worse than the first week. 40 minutes to get our food, medium steak came to the table extra well done. Sides ordered didn't come out until meal was nearly done and to top it off wanted to know if my steak was ok or did I want another one. If I order a medium steak why would you think I'd want to keep a well done brick? The food exceeds the menu's description, and the staff, although brand new, has shown tremendous growth in skill with their interactions with the customers. The restaurant is very load and too small for amount of tables wedged in the place. The service was ok but because you have a computer at your table it makes the whole experience weird. So we finally are seated, And it took about another 15 to 20 minutes just to get our drink order and another 10 to 15 min to place our order and then close to an hour wait to get the food.This will be put on my list of places to never go back to. Ok, I waited to write this review to give them a chance to get their act together. We were very excited when this Chili's opened in Simpsonville because it is one of our favorite chain restaurants. Our first visit the week they opened was fine. Our second visit, we picked up takeout and I had to throw my salad away, the chicken actually smelled bad, unfortunately I ate some. Three days of being sick with food poisoning. So, today my husband convinced me to try again. His grilled chicken sandwich came out sitting in a puddle of grease, the whole thing was inedible. The buffalo chicken salad that usually comes on a plate, came out in a very small side dinner salad bowl. The chicken tasted horrible. Our server ran by our table three times, asking "How is everything?", never slowing down for an answer. We paid our 40 tab at the table for food we couldn't eat and we are now at the drive thru up the road for lunch. And the floor was filthy out in the seating are, so I can imagine what the kitchen looks like. They need new management or any type of management. read more

Well, I've been to bad restaurants, and then there's the Chili's in Simpsonville. Being a chain, I have very low expectations, but after my latest trip, I should henceforth permanently lower the bar. Typical problems with low quality restaurant: super long inexplicable wait, food came out wrong, a drastically indifferent staff. If you're deciding about going to this restaurant, but there's a possibility of picking up a Marie Callender's frozen dinner in lieu of going to this disgrace of establishment, splurge for the frozen dinner, you can at least Netflix and chill whilst you wait. read more

I honestly don't even know where to begin. I went on Sunday for an early dinner around 5pm. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how empty the restaurant was as but now I know why. My friend and I sat at the bar which was so dirty and unclean. It was appalling. So when the male hostess was seating us he tried to put us RIGHT next to another couple when the whole bar was open. The couple said to him that they'd like a little more space and we agreed especially since we are amidst a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. and he said "oh, we are not practicing social distancing in the bar area." I'm sorry WHAT?!? That was red flag #1. You are a corporate restaurant with what I know have strict guidelines and you want to tell us you're not following?! Absolutely deplorable. But it gets better. The more we sat rheee and waited for someone to come clean the bar area and take our drink order/greet us we realized how many staff, especially in the kitchen, that were not wearing their masks properly. They were literally wearing them under their chin and breathing on and preparing the food!!!!! Just despicable. We were so grossed out and then our waitress "Leeann" had her mask adjusted under her chin as well. I'm sorry what is the point of wearing a mask if you're not going to use it to cover your FACE?! Don't worry, we let corporate know when we were there. Long story short, our food took over and hour and it came out COLD. we had to send it back and It was still tasteless and terrible upon the second try. This place won't last and there are so many bad reviews that are spot on. This place sucks. I have no other word, it just downright SUCKS. rude, lazy, and irresponsible(covid wise) staff. There weren't many seats available to wait and it was 91 degrees outside so we decided to wait in the car. The host took our phone number and we were able to keep track of our table by Yelp! We waited 20 minutes. No big deal. Our table wasn't ready, as far as we knew. We started seeing a lot of cars leave. The parking lot was looking pretty empty. We thought this was odd and checked on our table. Still not ready, but had plenty of tables open. We went back to the car to wait. 45 minutes went by. Still a fairly empty parking lot! We left and went to dinner somewhere else. I still remained on the waiting list just to see if we would ever be alerted to our table. It is now 11:30 am the next day and our status still says we have 4 people ahead of us and never once did we receive a text or notification that we would be seated. When you have tables open, plenty of spots in the parking lot available, and people waiting, I don't understand why we wouldn't be seated. Horrible experience from the start. Placed an online to go order; picked it up came home to realize they placed my side of fries with my wife's burger and fries order, instead of just using a different container. Then, we noticed the burger order was incorrect. The burger should have been an old timer (w/out cheese, there are 2 different kinds - one with cheese and one without) that they put cheese on it and it had pickles, mustard and mayonnaise that we did not request. Immediately called and to report the findings was placed on hold so long i decided to drive back to the restaurant since it was only 5 minutes away. Got to the store and waited for almost 45 minutes in the Togo parking area after I told the manager I was outside. I finally went in to see my food sitting on the counter. I grab my food and get home only to find out they had screwed my order up again. Not to mention when I started eating my wings, they were still bleeding.
