TL:DR - Good food, great portions at a very reasonable price. The restaurant is very small which means once you get a seat, you get great service. The chips were fresh and hot, and the salsa bar had many choices, but they weren't labeled so must ask or, try them all. I had the fajita burrito combo and it was almost as big as my head. Shredded iceberg lettuce, sour cream and rice on the side. It was a bit heavy on the beans, but it was well-balanced and quite tasty. My friend got the fajitas, and he said they were really juicy and held their temperature throughout the meal. This is the simply the worst papa's and beer location I have ever been to. If you like loud,-- road noise, interior noise and every clang and clatter of the kitchen, poor service and over salty Mexican.... Then this is the place for you. The waitress did not know some of the liquors at her bar. We ordered table side guac and it was not made at the table but rather back in the kitchen and brought out to us. I ordered a mushroom quesadilla and it came with mushrooms onions and tomatoes My dining companion ordered huervos rancheros And it tasted like there was way too much excess salt. Our waitress never waited a moment to see if we had any further questions as we had to flag her down for the check and to order.Then she left the check and ran away even though we left our credit card out to pay. We had to go find her and walk up to the bar and pay for our meal. I do not leave many one star reviews but I will not return to this restaurant... No joke, they put lettuce inside of a burrito. Hot steaming wilted lettuce smells like your eating a bag of dead frogs. What is wrong with people, geesh. I come here every time I'm in town. The Saltillo Sizzling Salad is AMAZING and soooo large. They make it tableside, it's $14 and that's with a ton of steak on top. They have a yummy salsa bar- love the creamy jalapeño. Small marg is big- and only 4.99. Friend had the pina colada - they add whipped cream on top which he found unnecessary not blended well enough, too many chunks of ice, flavor is good though. Staff is super nice! So I have been eyeballing this little adorable restaurant with the life size bull outside of the building for some time now. My husband, daughter and I decided that we wanted to give it a try and see what this was like. The décor inside provides a "night of the dead" theme with the statues and rustic Mexican accents. The hubs and I decided to get a margarita. I chose the "medium" size option of their original flavor. The waitress brought out the glass and its FAR from medium in size, but I wasnt upset at all! LOL It was worth every last drop! So delicious. Moving on to food. I had their chimichanga, hubs had a burrito, and well...the kid had a burger, but she did scarf it all down. The chimi had so much flavor and was ginormous in size. Husband was happy with his burrito, but wants to try it covered in their queso next time. Their chips and "salsa" did not come with your average salsa, it was more like a bean dip, but was a welcomed change. The staff was super friendly, and they all worked as a team. If we needed anything we could ask anyone who was near by and they would address our need (for napkins, another drink, etc). I took 1 star away only for the movie they had on at the time we were there. It was not for a 9 year old, and luckily she listened when we told her not to watch it. I ordered spicy green enchiladas that we're supposed to come with guacamole and sour cream, and your choice of beans and rice OR salad. I chose salad. When my enchiladas came, they were sans sour cream and guacamole. When I questioned the waitress, I was told if I ordered the side salad, I would not get the guacamole and sour cream. Asked to see the manager. Got the guacamole and sour cream--but the enchiladas had zero "spice", but tons of salt that pretty much made them inedible. This was the worst restaurant experience that I've had in a long time. My husband, our daughter and I walked in on a late Sunday afternoon. It was busy, but there were no customers waiting to be seated ahead of us. As we stood by the doorway, a server walked past us. No greeting, no acknowledgement. Then, a second server. No greeting, no acknowledgement. And a third. Also ignoring is completely. As the fourth employee attempted to walk past with out a word, I stopped her and asked if she could help us. "We're busy," she replied. My husband asked is she could seat us or add is to the waiting list. She picked up the pen on the hostess stand, then turned and said that we should go to another restaurant that bigger with more seats. I was stunned. My husband repeated what she said to be sure and she agreed. She put the pen away without asking our names and walked away. I asked another employee her name - Dianna. So, four completely rude and unwelcoming employees and Dianna was the star of the show. I've never been treated so poorly. We left, went to a competitor and had a lovely meal. read more

It's small; if there's a wait, then wait, or stop at the bar for a ridiculously cheap 24 ounce handmade chalada beer or standard margarita. The Camarones Enchiladas and Mexican Burrito con Camarones are more than worth the cheap price (~$10), and the fresh salsa bar features salsas I don't recognize. All are tasty.
