Guac and Guacamole & Chips Steak Taco Curry Shrimp Taco Pineapple Mezcal
Nikki H.

Love, love, love the guac. Usually if my guac isn't good, that ruins the entire meal for meal. It was really flavorful. The curry shrimp taco was delicious. The steak taco was not as pleasant to me. I think the cojito was too much with the steak, cream a, and pickles onions. It was just a bit too pungent for my liking. The mezcal was awesome! Food was affordably priced!

Great drinks. Definitely a must try. I had mojitos and tasted like the original. Blue pina colada needed a bit more alcohol. The pineapple mezcal tasted like Cancun, lol. Very good. Salud!!

Checking It Out

Family members wanted to visit Automatic Taco, so we visited this counter in the very busy food court near the Washington Street (Main) Post Office. There was a line, so we waited for a few minutes to get in our order. After ordering, you walk to a service center to get your water and utensils. The tacos were decent, but they have no brewed TEA? In South Carolina? I mean, I know every culture has moved in, but, please! Allow us our TEA. Strangely enough, no venue here offers a regular iced tea.

Vegan Brussel sprouts and vegan tacos

As a vegan, I only found a couple of options for taco but liked that they were very accommodating to make some vegan tacos and vegan Brussel sprouts, food was okay and service was great. Since this is a food court there was many options to pick from, was helpful for vegans like us. Our friend got some non-vegans items and they were happy too.

I went for a quick bite on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy but the commons itself was. I was really happy with how easy to read the menu was and how many cool options there are for tacos. I tried the Korean pork belly taco and it was so good and the flavors fit so well together. It had cashews and kimchi but the kimchi wasn't spicy which was great for me preference. The commons just expanded their eating area so there are more places to sit and have fun with friends

My rating is based only on what I ate that day. Automatic Taco once a food truck, but now at the Commons. My niece ordered a snack of Fundido Cheese Dip and she got the chocolate mousse. The dip was good, but as it cooled so did the cheese, and it was like mozzarella cheese when it has cooled down. It was still chewy but not dippable. The chocolate mousse was tasty too. Planning on visiting again soon.

KBBQ & al pastor

This spot is located within the Commons food hall, you can choose from several vendors and find seating in their common area. We ordered the Mexican corn, pork al pastor, chile relleno, and KBBQ tacos. The chile relleno was the best bite we had, delivering on flavor. However, the other options were average. The Mexican corn and KBBQ tacos seemed to lack that extra zest we were hoping for, while the pork al pastor was excessively sweet. The Commons appeared a tad limited with the food choices so it's not a bad option if you're looking for a quick bite.

Love this place! It's located inside the Greenville Commons (kinda like a food hall) near Unity Park - great location, great food and great service. We were visiting on the Fourth of July and the Greenville Commons area was PACKED, but we ordered and received our food super quickly despite the crowd. We got the grilled steak, chorizo, and pork pastor tacos - all of which tasted like a firework going off in my mouth (SO GOOD SO FLAVORFUL!). We all thought two tacos were sufficient and filled us up for dinner. We also ordered the salsa trio and chips but would love to try the guacamole next time. Really fresh ingredients and would absolutely go back again.

What a cool taco spot! I liked the location inside The Commons food hall, and the taco options are so original. Not only that, but they're executed super well. We tried 7 different tacos, and all of them tasted fantastic. That says a lot in my opinion. If you're in the area and looking for a tasty and quick lunch, try this for real!

Nashville Hot Chicken , Korean Pork Belly , Chips and Salsa

10/10! The food was absolutely delicious, well balanced flavors and textures. With the Nashville Hot Chicken, you are given the choice of MILD, MED or HOT, which I appreciated. I went with the mild and it was just that, slight spice but so perfect with the crema sauce and the chopped pickles. The Korean Pork Belly was my favorite, it was perfectly executed, and the flavors were THERE!! Savory and somewhat sweet and a nutty crunch, excellent. The tacos were always filled proportionally, which was really nice for the price. The chips were good, but thicker than I typically prefer. So with that, I would 100% recommend eating here and will be a return customer. So yummy, thanks Automatic Taco

These tacos were divine. fresh and healthy and tasty and colorful and fast. I let the staff know I needed gluten free & dairy free and they were so reassuring that this request was easy and normal for them. Wish I could build a little portal to this place into my home in Colorado. Thanks for lunch!

Hands down, the best tacos in Greenville!

Automatic Taco just keeps getting better! We are enjoying expanded food and drink menus (excellent margaritas in pretty glasses!) and also their location at The Commons. Great options here of indoor and outdoor seating or taking your food to go for a picnic nearby at Unity Park. Go now!

Pastor, Nashville Hot Chicken, butter chicken and a spicy margarita.

I tried the fish taco good but it pales in comparison to the Bangkok shrimp and pork belly! Don't get me wrong it's not bad at all but I'd say you can get one almost anywhere so don't play it safe! They have international flavors and pairings you might not expect so try them. I'm glad I did. I inhaled the shrimp that had chili aioli and cukes on it and the pork belly was amazing with pickled watermelon! I'll be back even though I spent $25 for lunch lol. It was worth it!

We ordered a house margarita, a black bean taco, a Banh mi tofu taco with Mexican street corn salad, and the Pork Belly. The flavors were unique and paired tastefully, and the food wasn't expensive. If you catch happy hour, it's even cheaper! The Pork Belly is the standout favorite. The portions are small for the price, but I think it's worth it. The staff is decent, not overly enthusiastic but attentive. The logo is also quite amusing. The food is amazing. There's nothing bad on the menu. We could live off the buffalo chicken, and the pork belly is a chef's kiss with its pickled watermelon. The steak is phenomenal, and I'm a big fan of the Tikka Masala, though it may be more of an acquired taste. Do yourself a favor and make sure to stop by White Duck for an amazing experience. Besides being a bit pricey, the food is incredibly delicious! The service is always good, and you can order, sit, and your food will be out in a few minutes. We ordered five tacos for about $30, including a drink, and we also got some nachos. The buffalo chicken is always to die for! It's little spicy but always a good piece of chicken. Then, I tried the Korean pork belly, which was crispy, packed with flavor, and soft on the inside. The service is fast, even when there's a long line. The tacos are original and different, but delicious. There's always plenty of seating inside and outside. I would for sure go back for the great flavors and service.

Chips and salsa are not complimentary, but you do get these cute little wagon wheel looking chips called duros. They're like puffed air and remind me of pork rinds but not as crunchy and probably made from flour. The drinks are all delicious and strong. The margaritas are small but watch out, they'll sneak up on you! Lots of options. They specialize in tequila and mezcal with flights as an option. The bar is the spot to be; bartenders are friendly and they have small TVs to watch whatever sports are in season. The atmosphere is a little lacking in my opinion, but it's all about the food. Food is delicious and the portions are larger than expected. We got the chips and queso, Heidi's Flautas, soup of the day, and the Birria Egg Rolls. Too much food for 2 people so we took some home. Location is in a strip mall; parking is tight and can be a challenge. We won't let that stop us though! We will be back for those delicious Birria Egg Rolls and margaritas!

Sad, sad tacos. I really wanted to like this place, but it…read morewas a big disappointment. The tacos were very small for the price, and overall not worth what we paid. We ordered al pastor, and the meat was extremely dry and lacked flavor. We spent over $70 on a few burritos and tacos, but our order was missing items that were supposed to be included--chips, beans, and rice. For families, a heads up: the kids' fish taco had bones in it. Customer service was also pretty subpar. There was no courteous greeting or even a quick intro, and we mentioned it was our first time there. It didn't feel welcoming, and combined with the food issues, it just wasn't a great experience. Service is quick and everyone working there was friendly. We ordered 6 different tacos and thought they were just okay - birria taco and pulled pork tacos were good, but all other tacos were pretty bland and didn't have much flavor. Tacos range from $4.5-6 which is on the pricier side and are pretty small, so you would need to order 3-4 depending on how hungry you are/ supplement with appetizers. I might try tortas next time instead of tacos, but probably not going to come back.
