We always enjoy coming here. The food is fresh, well-prepared and reasonably priced. This time we had a couple skinny margaritas (very good), the Tacos Al Pastor which were excellent and the Homemade Guacamole which was the star of the show. Ok first of all this place was a massive let down. The interior of the restaurant wasn't even Mexican and reminded me of a sushi restaurant! The service was just as bad as the interior, with not very many staff waiting us. I'm being generous by giving three stars, since the food wasn't too bad and they had great guacamole. read more

This was our first time at Pancho's after hearing a lot about it and we enjoyed it. The spaces fresh and bright with a nice bar area. The chips and salsa were very good as was the skinny margarita. We had the Fajitas Especialides and our friends had the Texas Fajitas. Both were very good and each was lot of food for 2 people. Staff was attentive and friendly, as well. Very chill new spot, not too many tables but never seen it overly packed (in a good way). Staff were always very friendly, and the entrees well done. Fair amount of menu variety without being overbearing in options. Prices relatively competitive to other areas. Loove the chile renello, enchiladas have always been hearty, well done rice & beans, and can't go wrong with the Taco Al Pastor! I look forward to trying other dishes they offer. Fantastic meal and prompt service. 10/10. We arrived late afternoon and loved the fun and vibrant decor. The purple and teal with neon lights and embroidered light shades was super unique. Our waitress was soft spoke but attentive and quick. Everything from the initial chips to the last bite of our meals (veggie fajitas and a California burrito) was fantastic. For a strip mall Mexican joint, it's above average, mainly because of the wide variety of dishes. If I didn't like spicy food, I'd love this place because of the quality. But...I do expect a kick from Mexican food and this just doesn't have it. At least, nothing I've had thus far. A few bites and I'm looking for the Chohula. If it were just the food or just the service, I probably wouldn't be leaving a review. The good: the restaurant is pretty. The salsa is great. The bad: Our server spent most of her time flirting with the very younger guys at the bar than checking on her other customers. My husband actually had to get up and go to the bar to order our food. Once ordered, I think she checked on us once but literally just said "everything ok?", the food was bland. I had street tacos with chicken, carnitas and steak. There was no seasoning on the meat at all. My husband got one of the lunches and said his meat was also bland. The tortillas were fine BUT they were just average store bought tortillas. There are so many good options for Mexican in Central, Clemson and Seneca. We won't be back. read more

Summary: exquisite flavors, generous quantities, super pleasant service --.just so delicious. We eat a lot of Mexican food, but there was something about the flavors in my vegetable quesadilla and beef taco that was off-the-charts delicious. We ordered a guacamole appetizer that made it too much food for us, but we managed to eat most of it because it was just so tasty. Chips came warm, with both mild and medium salsa. Chilled, frosted glasses for our beer! And here's the icing on the cake: the ladies' room was immaculate and was well stocked with a generous variety of personal supplies. I've probably left a total of four or five reviews in my entire life, but this was such an unexpected treat, I had to write it while I'm still sitting here. Cheers to a well-run place! Just saw this place by Publix and decided to try since from out of town. We have many many Mexican restaurants in Gainesville GA but this one beats all of them out of the water. The Chile Poblano was so amazing. The sauce was creamy but with a slight tang enchilada sauce on top. The crunchy beef taco had the perfect amount of seasoning in the beef and it was quality beef without being fatty. Tamale Verde with chicken had quality white flavorful chicken. So so good. If I got the tamale again I would ask for the enchilada sauce over the top! Go just go! read more

I generally enjoy everything about Panchos. The food and service are excellent. The steaks are delicious. On this last visit, however, the outdoor temperature was approaching 100 degrees and the inside air conditioning was off. Ceiling fans did little to cool. I am hoping that this problem is only temporary. read more

I've been waiting to sample the goods at the new authentic Mexican restaurant and it finally had its grand opening last week. Loved the interior - nice and bright, cool decor and nice bar and outdoor patio setup. The complimentary chips were standard, but their two salsas were awesome - flavorful, with bits of onion and tomatoes. The spicy version was just enough. What makes this restaurant unique is the traditional offerings on the "Mexican Streetfood" and "Mama's Kitchen" menu categories. I enjoyed the Sopa and upgraded to shrimp (I asked, it wasn't an option on the menu). The sopa was a wonderful mesa vessel that held the beans, shrimp and a llvely refreshing lettuce/onion/tomato salad on top. Hubby had the three Street Style Tacos (steak and pork) - and said that were one of the best he has ever had. The sangria on the bar looked tempting, as well as a long list of offering beverages. The wait staff seems to not know where there areas are and we have been understanding that this is a new place and they need to work out the kinks but as this is the sixth week in a row nothing has improved. We came to Pancho's del lago today during slow hour. Food didn't have good seasoning our waiter was no where to be seen. We had the fajitas and some traditional tacos. The taco shells were super hard my daughter could not eat them. Other than that the place was beautiful maybe we'll give them another try. read more

Food was fine, not great. Service was terrible! Got silverware and chips after food, and then never saw a server again! Waited 20 minutes for check finally just went to front and asked to pay. And they were irritated that I did that. Worst service!!! read more

We love this place. We eat here once a week. However I noticed their health score and it really is a shame. BEGGING for them to do better- so I can return. 92 is better than what they started with but from the looks of it they where graciously given many opportunities. Do better please!
