Excellent food and portions! The staff is always friendly. We come here so much the staff knows my families order LOL. The food is always fresh and we love the vibe at Papa's and Beer!

Fantastic!!! What a pleasant surprise - right off the interstate in SC. Driving back from VA to ATL, we were craving Mexican. A quick search popped up Papa's as the closest to where we were. And WOW!! Fun decor, really fresh YUMMY food, great service and prices. And a HUGE menu of interesting choices. Food was well-seasoned - with lots of ingredients and well-plated. Portions were very generous - especially for the great prices. Loved that they serve hot bean dip instead of salsa with their chips, but also have a complete salsa bar to get your fill of a nice variety of salsas, including guacamole! We bookmarked and will definitely come back again on our way to visit our daughter in college.

Pollo bowl, added cheese.

Food and service were great. Love the salsa bar. Always a great stop when we're in the area

Steak & chicken fajita for 2 - GOOD STUFF!
Sheri L.

Ok, what a cool spot for some super good Cali Mex. LOVE the salsa bar but I gotta say that the warm, smoky refried bean dip that arrives with chips is pretty yummy. We rolled in after a long drive, a lot of heavy lifting, a terrifying motel, and a flat tire. Shared the chicken & steak fajita for 2. All delish, especially the steak. Warning: portions are ginormous. And so is the menu - I'm sad that I can't tell you about lots more but the fajita was all we could handle and then some. Added plus: our server offered us the choice of flour or corn tortillas - wish more places did this. Will definitely be back.

Meat Lovers Tacos

We love Papas and Beer. So happy this location finally opened. Typical shabby Mexican decor they are famous for. Our service was stellar... we wanted for nothing and our glasses remained full. This day I tried something different... the meat lovers tacos. No tortilla... just lettuce. I was unable to pick them up so I had to eat them with a fork, but the flavor was just as good as the Mexico City Tacos that I usually get. I recommend that you get that instead, unless you are really avoiding carbs ;)

BURRITO CHALLENGE

I came here and did the BURITTO CHALLENGE omg!!! The staff is amazing when more than the food. I loved them I felt like famila but excuse my french. THAT DAMN BURRITO. I wish I wasn't so overwhelmed and took more photos but it was bigger than my forearm and for an unbelievable price of less than a steak at most restaurants. Please come here

My son and I had a GREAT lil date night at Papas n Beer on Thursday evening! It's right off the Hwy (brightly colored so easy to see) and there's a decent amount of parking. We ate inside where it was nice n cool. My son loved the beautiful pics of Frida Khalo, the cool star light above the table and especially the chips and beans. He got the avocado tacos with rice n beans and I got the vegetarian enchiladas with rice n olla beans (yum!). The enchiladas were loaded with veggies n cheese and the sauce on top was awesome. They have a lil salsa bar and they have a mild one that even my 3.5 year old liked (I enjoyed the spicier salsa). Our server was quick, and polite. My son had fun talking to the guy bussing tables. 10 outta 10. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!!

Bloody Mary
Nicole G.

Quick, inexpensive, and nearby....what more could you want? The arroz con pollo with shrimp is easily enough food to share for two. I love a Bloody Mary and these are okay (to be expected at a Mexican restaurant). We also tried to order their version of a Moscow mule but they were out of ginger beer. They have a salsa bar with about 6 different salsas. The green is my favorite! Although we like the Spartanburg a little better, it's nice to have an option in boiling springs .

Disappointed! Both the chicken and steak were burned making the burrito almost inedible. Margarita was way too sweet.

Suitcase Social Club Dispatch No. 47: "Timmy vs. The Lumberjacks"…read more If you've ever wondered what happens when a grown man with sales quotas, a mild caffeine imbalance, and the attention span of a golden retriever discovers competitive lumberjack sports streaming on the bar TV... well, allow me to submit Exhibit A. I wandered into Main Street Bar & Eatery for what was supposed to be a "quick bite between quotes." Instead, I became spiritually welded to a barstool while the TV blasted a man in flannel yeeting a chainsaw like it owed him money. And the fried pickles. Good grief. Those things ambushed me. One minute I'm thinking "I'll just have a snack," and the next I'm waist-deep in a basket of fried circles of temptation, crunching my way into oblivion while pretending to "work." My laptop was open, sure, but let's not lie to ourselves -- I got absolutely nothing done. I was too busy yelling advice at professional lumberjacks like I'd trained for this moment my whole life. Tim the Suitcase Regular Rating Breakdown: * Atmosphere: Cozy but with the unpredictable energy of a log-rolling final * Food: Fried pickles that could ruin a man's productivity in the best possible way * Service: Friendly, fast, and kindly nonjudgmental of whatever fever dream I was living in * Entertainment: 10/10 involuntary lumberjack immersion If you're looking for a place where you can lose an entire afternoon under the noble banner of "I swear I'm still working", Main Street Bar & Eatery is the arena. However, my plans changed when I saw the menu. Instead I tried a Wagyu burger. They have five different Wagyu burgers and I settle on the one closest to a cheeseburger. It had been a long time since I had one and I was way overdue. It was delicious. For my side I tried the collard greens. They offer five different sauces to spike the collards with, but I chose to eat them with the way they came out of the kitchen - a vinegar-based splash of heat. I could've eaten a bowl of them, they too were delicious. It was a bit after lunch so it wasn't very busy. The bartender was knowledgeable about the menu, sides, entrees, apps, and sauces which helped with making my decisions prompt. The front of house is setup to handle families and groups of friends with booths and 6-top tables, however the place may fill up fast. Based on the amount of missing merch, many folks try and like and appreciate this place. Parking could be tricky, but there's more public parking on the streets than most towns I've visited, so be patient looking for on-street parking and if necessary one could use the parking garage close to the cordoned-off block where some great food on this block lives. Enjoy!

The interior is really cute and little more upscale with a very cozy fire place in the middle and plenty of outdoor/patio seating. We ordered our drinks and appetizers. Appetizers didn't come out until about 15 minutes later for the crab bisque and a ceaser salad. The soup was good but there were multiple pieces of shell that I was pulling out. Salad was mediocre. After another 15 minutes our burgers came via a different server. They were pretty good! Not the best I've ever had but better than basic bar food. Our server was no longer to found after that. We waited for about 20 minutes and no one was to found. Overall the food was good but I'm not sure I'll be returning due to the staffing issue.
