Food was great, ribs back in the Uk are usually tough, fatty and not easy to get through but Sherby's ribs I could've kept going with a second rack. The burger was perfectly with jack cheese and the wings were nice and hot/spicy. Washed down with a few nice Guinness and the servers pop round regular to see if food ok or needing more drinks brought over. read more

Burgers made the way they're supposed to be made. It wasn't at all crowded and I sat for many minutes hoping a waiter would show up. It was my first time in the pub, so that wasn't a great first impression. I meandered to the bar to place an order. I'm not quick to judgement. I'll go back regardless. I really liked the atmosphere. From the outside, off-street and side parking, I always assumed it was a hangout just for people who like Irish pubs. I've been to Ireland several times, but I've all but quit drinking, so my "going to the pub" days are behind me. The day I decided to visit was the day when the proprietor at Tax - Mail Plus (in the same building) told me it was great, especially Thursday night BBQ. The plain front door opens to a surprising character and atmosphere. I instantly felt, this is my kinda place. Wall decor, novo juke box that had everything I could challenge it with. Games, menu, a bar with countless offerings. You gotta go. Poke your head in like I did. I bet you'll stay. I can't believe I never gave it even one thought. The old signage, unimpressive parking and storefront. This is one of those "hole in the wall" places that made me feel like I discovered a gem in the rough. read more

Definitely my go to spot anytime I'm visiting my daughter. The food and service are consistently excellent. It's definitely dive bar feel with plenty of TV's, a couple of pool tables and good selection of draft beer both craft and domestic. The wings are hands down the best I've had in the upstate. Well I really haven't felt like reviewing a lot of the places I've been to lately. Most have been simple and, or mundane. Or have I been lazy??? I eat out at bars nearly 200 nights a year. I'm working near Simpsonville SC. I stopped in Sherby's per a recommendation from the desk clerk at the nearby Holiday Inn Express. The first day I noticed a very attentive bar staff, and a pleasant sports bar environment. This is not a five star restaurant, therefore the presentation may not appeal to some. It was adequate for me. I enjoyed a bleu cheese burger it was great, but I didn't write a review. Today, I ordered the full rack of ribs... easily the best ribs I've ever enjoyed. But almost as fabulous were the sides. (Not a lot of choices) the potato salad was an experience. A bit of a bacon taste and larger than usual slightly firm potatoes. The Cole slaw was great but try it with a little celery salt. That would make a great slaw amazing. Overall, hmmmm it really couldn't have been better, but wait the bill shocked me. I really expected it to be much more!!! I never take home leftovers... not only did I take home the food I didn't eat (there was so much of it) but I ordered two more meals to take home for me and my wife. Good, sure it was!!! read more

I wanted to like this place, frankly the inside looks like the kind of place I'd really like. Parking lot is awful, I don't see how there aren't issues at night since there is so little room to maneuver in and out of spaces. The waitress was pretty bad at her job. If I owned or ran the place I'd sure want a higher level of service for my customers. The poor level of service is the main reason for a low score today. If you can't get service it is difficult to enjoy a visit to a bar/restaurant Appetizer - mushrooms were ice cold in the middle, not sure how thats even possible but they managed to pull that off lol. Wings were actually pretty good. I had to check to make sure they were cooked since the mushrooms were so bad but they did cook them properly. Delicious entree - too bad I had nothing to drink the entire time I ate.....yeah did I mention the service was bad? If the service was ok I'd have probably went with 3 maybe 4 stars but without good service there isn't much ya can do to make it a good experience. Honestly, I'm not trying to be mean....you just need to work on the service your employees provide and maybe figure out how fried mushrooms can be served when the mishroom is still cold in the middle....not room temp I mean cold read more

Sherby's is a very quaint place. Thanks to another review, I knew exactly what to expect. Typical bar food nothing to write home about; however, I give them credit for their Timken Teriyaki Wings! Vert tastee and filling. Other than beer, burgers, and wings menu is limited. Fries were under-cooked though, wtf! It is all goid, can't expect much in Simpsonville, SC after 9pm. The social seen seems couples or 1st daters. Not a place to pick up single women. No music, good speaker system and multiple well placed TVs. Very loud. Either bring a date or bring your boys. Overall Sherby's gets a 7 out of 10, for late night, decent food, good beer bar in Simpsonville, SC. Definitely eat 1st, lol read more

After driving by many times we decided it was time to try. Glad we did. Our server was fantastic l cheerful and helpful. and happy to discuss menu with us. Her opioni were spot on. My ribs were fantastic. As were the fries. My wife's wings were superb as was the buffao sauce. Only disappointment was learning our server does not come on till 5 and we usually eat earlier. What a cool spot in Simpsonville!! It's in a strip mall type building so it's not much to look at on the outside but the inside is decorated like an Irish Pub. The vibe is cool and there was a mix of all age groups there, with a variety of music playing in the background. The 2 pool tables were busy and there's a few video games and some dart boards as well. It was quite busy by the time we left. They have Shocktop on draft... thumbs up! I opted for the 12 pc wings with lemon pepper and hot buffalo as my flavor choices. The wings were not huge but the price is fair. The wings were cooked perfectly and the flavors were delicious. I like that they give you a large cup of ranch... it's not often that I don't have to ask for extra. I also ordered fries for the table and the portion was generous. I really like this place. It seems like a small, family run locals bar, which is always nice to see. I was here the day before St Patrick's but the bartender told me they are going to have 180lbs of corned beef tomorrow! Typical Irish beers like Guinness and Smithwicks, but quality craft beer as well like Dogfish Head 90 minute and Sweetwater IPA. THE TVS were had soccer and ESPN but there was also a tv dedicated to trivia, like one would see at Buffalo Wild Wings. I had the Zane burger and it was awesome. Big as hell and juicy to the last drop. The only other "Irish" food I saw was Fish and Chips, otherwise it was standard burgers and wings. I would come here anytime. If you enjoy a good atmosphere please avoid this place. I was extremely disappointed with the service I received here. I have been here a few times before and it was a decent place to watch football. Tonight some coworkers and I came to watch the Monday night game. After sitting down and ordering some beers we were told the kitchen closed at 8:30pm. At this point there were several people in the bar. At 9:30 they called for last call. During this time the bartenders proceeded to send multiple customers away that entered the establishment. With 2 mins left in a close game, they closed the bar and made everyone leave. The bartenders were extremely rude and said they close early when it is a slow night. There wasn't many customers in the bar because they stopped serving and turned people away starting around 9:00pm.It appeared like they yhad an agenda for closing early. I don't quite understand why this place doesn't like money but I will definitely be spending mine elsewhere. read more
