I went with the small meat (LMAO SMALL MEAT) sampler platter (name's escaping me) with mac & cheese and house chips. The platter included brisket, pulled pork, sausage, and three smoked wings--at $32, not exactly cheap, so it had to be either incredible or abundant. Fortunately, it was both. Every meat was juicy--something too many barbecue spots mess up by letting their meats dry out in the holding cabinet. My favorite? Probably the smoked wings, but everything was genuinely excellent. Somehow, the sides were just as impressive as the meats. Great mac & cheese isn't uncommon, but great house potato chips? That's rare. I've had way more bad ones than good ones--even at upscale restaurants--but the guy at the counter sold me on them, and he was absolutely right. The chips were sublime. Every single one was perfectly fried. I'd rank them just behind the legendary barbecue chips Jim 'N Nick's (in Georgia) used to serve. I love this place and will think of it first anytime I want a treat-yo-self kind of meal.
