I thought this place was great! It's got a neat vibe to it with the skeletons hanging about and the purple walls. The food looked amazing but we were only here to sample the beers. We approached the register and the gentleman was really nice . We decided to have them make our own flights and he was asking us what we liked and didn't like and took that into consideration when making them . The beers he chose were good ! Some better than others but their sours were some of my favorite . I'm usually not a sour beer lover but they had a few that weee worth trying. I came here for lunch for a Business meeting. Fun vibe but no pressure to have to drink beer with lunch. Service was quick and super nice. Great selection of house beers and extensive list of guest taps as well. All unique varieties from lagers to NEIPAS and dessert beers. I got a flight of 6 and was able to really hit a wide array of styles. I ordered the Foodoo burger with chips for side. Very good burger and house made chips. Moved here in March and Voodoo instantly became our favorite hangout. Music bingo, live music, sports, rotating beer selection, super friendly bartenders and kitchen staff! If you wanna strike up a conversation with a stranger they have community tables, or go outside and sit in an Adirondack chair and watch your favorite game on their huge outdoor TV! Their Pickle Pizza is a pickle lover's dream! This thing is packed with flavor and the extra dill puts it over the top. My wife RARELY eats the bones (crust) but when I looked over after stuffing my face, her plate was empty. The pulled pork nachos are delicious, burgers are good, sweat heat pizza is awesome as well. Arrived at 11:20am to be immediately told "you aren't allowed to order for another 10 minutes!" Ok so why open at 11:00? Tried to order "off the board" 10 minutes later. "That's yesterday's menu. You can't order those." A salad with chicken was $19!!! Ordered Mozzarella sticks instead. $9 for 6. Default tip was 20%. Mind you I had to wait 10 minutes, couldn't order what I originally wanted, had to stand in line at bar to order, given a pager, had to pick up my order from kitchen window and clear my own table. I really really want this place to succeed as I am a huge fan of small businesses and family owned businesses! The atmosphere and the ownership are top notch but I want them to be aware of a few things that we experienced over the last couple of visits. First, adequate staffing-- I know its hard to find people who want to work, who want to take pride in their positions, but it is super important to have adequate staffing during events and special nights especially if you are advertising -- expect larger than normal crowds and be ready for them to acknowledge guests and to get to them as soon as possible. Second, the liquor drinks need some work-- hire a real mixologist-- the bar is the money maker. The drinks we've ordered here ( not beer) have not been the best. Food-- they have great food and there are things that are consistently good, but a few things we've tried were hit or miss for the price-- so hammer down on this and stick to what you know! Hire a great GM to handle the small things! Find one who is known to Lexington and has a following and a reputation for keeping these restaurants going smooth! I really love the vibe here and they really add something special to Lexington so I hope this feedback helps! read more

We stopped in here yesterday on our way home from Greenville and man am I glad we did. This is your standard brewery/restaurant, which offers a wide selection of craft beers, and a pretty solid menu to match. The atmosphere is very casual, and the dining room is spacious with lots of room for everyone. We visited on a Sunday afternoon right when they opened and it began to fill up quickly. This is a self service restaurant, where you order your beers & food at the counter & pickup at the kitchen window. Kat had their grilled cheese with a side of sweet potato tots and I ordered the smokehouse smash burger, which was AMAZING. It took a little while but I was able to finish the whole thing. All told, I am excited to come back again, their menu has a lot to offer and as Fountain Inn in next up on the list to be developed after Simpsonville, this place is a good start. read more

We are here 2 years ago when they first opened and hated it. Vowed never to return. Return we did and i am glad of it. The food was exceptionally good. Huge portions, perfectly cooked, full of robust flavors. The beer selection is excellent. I ordered the "Good Vibes" IPA and a smash burger. We also shared the Buffalo Shrimp . My only complaint (or negative) would be the lack of service as far as no one ever comes to ask if anything is needed or how the meal was etc. Don't expect restaurant style service even though you are prompted to leave a tip at checkout read more

We enjoyed our first time here. It's a big open space with lots of seating options inside and out. Food and drinks are ordered at the bar and then picked up. We tried two of the many options of beer and cider on tap, but mixed drinks, with and without alcohol, are available, too. Kid friendly, as there were many families enjoying their evening there. We loved the Smokehouse Inn smash burger, which is big enough to share if you're saving room for dessert. And can you say Pickle Pizza? Might be worth a try! The Good: Brisket Grilled Cheese Sandwich. In the age of small portioned, high priced, mediocre food, this was a surprise. Is it worth $17? No, but you don't feel completely ripped off due to the size and flavor. Beer Cheese Mac. Again, tastes really good. The Bad: Glorified counter service that pushes for a tip. I DON'T TIP COUNTER SERVICE! If I'm ordering at a counter, carrying my own food and drinks to my table, and using plastic cutlery, I'm not leaving a tip. They also ask for the tip as you pay when you order. I DON'T PRE PAY TIPS! You want a tip? I shouldn't have to get up from my table from the time I come in until I leave. Overall, it's a nice place. The food I had was good and the pizzas I saw at the counter when I picked up my food to carry back to my table, looked great. But this "pre pay a tip for nonexistent service" nonsense VooDoo Brewing subscribes to cost them a star and a half. read more

Wowzer!! Absolutely a great experience. Based on a friend's recommendation, we both had the Brisket Grilled Cheese. Wow! It is one of the best sandwiches I have had in years! I've been wanting to check out this place and we finally decided to stopped in for lunch. Spacious inside has menus at entrance and order at bar. We decided to split their cocktail flight they are full size cups and all the drinks were tasty. For food we I went with the brisket grilled cheese and wife got the smokehouse inn burger. Brisket was was flavorful and paired well with the grilled cheese. The smokehouse inn burger was massive it had smoked brisket burnt ends and crispy onions on it. All the flavors combined were a delight. Service was good. I noticed no tvs so definitely wouldn't be a good place to catch a game. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a cold beer, cocktail flight and great food. read more

So I had been wanting to check this place out.... It's big inside with some small tables and chairs but mainly two large long bar top tables with metal "no backed" stools. This is okay for some but for me .. I need a back on my stool for comfort! Also heads up.... No TV's...so you can't watch the game! There is an outdoor area with heaters and blankets for your warmth. Also a small area for musicians to set up and provide live music. So they have tons of beers... mainly their own with some "guest" taps . Many IPA styles. Also on tap are seltzer,wine and ciders. I was understanding that they had cocktails... And they do...BUT the cocktails are pre- made and cannot be modified...to be clear you cannot order vodka tonic or Crown and coke.. The flights of beer and ciders are huge . You get six samples. We tried both.. the ciders are pretty sweet. Also the cider flight was $30. And the beer flight was $25- ish I probably wouldn't get either again... Just too many beers didn't care for. Food was ok also . The brisket grilled cheese was tasty. The shrimp Po boy sandwich was ok.. but lettuce was wilty and shrimp was over done..Too firm. So for a beer flight , a cider flight and two sandwiches the bill was ... about $95!.. so for me...I will go for a beer. . but if I am going to spend that much money.. I was in town for the weekend and stopped at this brewery two days in a row. It's a pretty standard brewery these days, you know what to expect. There's a lot on draft, I was pleased with the selection. The food menu is limited but that's typical. Today they had a band that featured a lead xylophone player....have to say that was a first for me. I ate a pretzel, they are massive. read more

Stopped here with friends before the Dave Matthews concert. The staff is interactive and suggestive which is nice since I've never been. My friends highly suggested Voodoo and now I do too. I was here last Friday 3/24 with my wife and a friend and I don't think I'll be returning. The system was down so the regular menu was not an option. The limited menu must be quiet expensive to compensate for not having the regular one, $20.00 for a Ruben ($17.00 plus the side). My total bill was $80.00 for a sandwich and wings and three drinks, quite expensive for a place to be honest, just doesn't warrant it. My friend ordered his food right at the same time as I, his food came out and he finished it. I went back to check my order and somehow the kitchen never got the ticket with my order. In all honesty, I mean its just another establishment that serves the same kind of food and glorified by being a brewing company, there didn't seem to be much brewing going on, unless its off site. No different to any other "brewing" company. I asked for a refund and the sous chef, (I believe it was Shaquille, it was busy I don't remember), said she would get my order started immediately. I wasn't rude and neither was she. Apparently the head chef and the owners were not there last night (I overheard this from other patrons). My argument is how can the head chef not be there to run his/her brigade in the kitchen on a Friday night? Overall, food was good, but far from being pub style and really it's just regular bar food, a lot of money and just another "hipster place". Now I must stress that praise and recognition goes to Tray and Shaquille because they both were outstanding in assisting me. They apologised greatly, but I said the fault is not with you if you never got the ticket, you both are in the kitchen working hard (for $80.00 I could have gone somewhere far better and worth it). In addition, asking for an 18% tip when I have to stand in line to order and pick up my own food is a joke and a scam. Its Fountain Inn not Fifth Ave. Tray and Shaquille, you both were fantastic, given the circumstances with the kitchen they both were much more organised and went above and beyond. They deserve the recognition as opposed to the other cooks behind the line who looked lost when I was standing there discussing my order. Tray and Shaquille knew where they were, composed, focused and got on with it. 10/10 for you two! Maybe either one of these guys should be the head chef if they're not afraid to work a busy Friday night. Thanks again, you two, 10/10 and 5 out of 5 stars for you both. Oh and Tray made an announcement last night in the restaurant just apologising about the situation. From a customer point of view sure it didn't fix the downed system, but just that bit of communication from him speaks volumes and he has a sense of customer service, it cost nothing to be professional. read more
