Great small brewery. I had a flight w 2 IPAs, a Marzen and an Oktoberfest. They were all excellent. Best Greenville beers I've had all trip. Staff couldn't be friendlier. My dog got a lot of attention and enjoyed it as well.

I was greeted by a super friendly staff and two TVs playing college football. Single IPA 1 is traditional with eldorado - nutty finish Single 2 with experimental hops is smooth and slightly fruity on the finish. Black IPA is smooth and round. The dark malt gives it an earthy flavor Brutus is crystal clear and clean. It is dry but not lacking on flavor. Notes of cherry and grape meet your nose. The milkshake can be made into any flavor. I had mango/habanero...wow

Went back for round two before we left Greenville and it was as awesome the second time!!! Rebecca was there and told us we just missed Shayna (WHEW, my phone is safe, lol) Ken, the mad scientist, told my wife and I were his Guinea pigs and kept serving us with new concoctions like a Piná Colada milkshake IPA with heat added or his Mollé Matter with mango and heat! I'm just saying, this place is extraordinary with their beer and their hospitality and is a must see in Greenville!

This place was great! It's a small bar and they brew in house so you can usually smell it, and I love it. The owners were awesome and they source locally. Awesome people, and awesome beer, definitely stop in and support!

This place is awesome! It's small and quaint. The owners are super nice and he even made me a mango habanero beer. Highly recommend! The beers are some of the best craft beers I have had. Didn't have one bad beer!!

I started with a Straffe Hendrik Quad, which was chefs kiss. It was a yummy treat to start the meal off with and be transported into being in Belgium. Not pictured was the charcuterie board and Brie appetizers that were all split and devoured. What was documented was the roasted duck breast with potatoes and asparagus. The duck was roasted perfectly with the skin, crispy for the texture and seasoned divinely. Yall the potatoes were crispy on the outside, well fluffy like little clouds inside, and had a punch of flavor. The asparagus was rich with a butter and lemon note. If a plate could sing! Zero notes. 10/10. My only draw back was I needed a pillow after the meal. Stuffed was I.

The nautical theme and decor throughout the space was a great touch--anchors, ropes, and deep-sea tones gave it a quirky, seafaring charm that made the experience feel more curated and intentional. There were a few groups hanging out when we arrived, and while it wasn't packed, there was only one bartender working, so we waited about five minutes to be helped--not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of. We each ordered a flight, and here's what I tried: Sic'em Sour - sour ale with peach and cherry Italian ice Sour Blueberry Lime - sour ale with blueberry and lime Chonk: Banana Split - sour ale with banana, strawberry, chocolate, and lactose Strawberry Shortshake - milkshake IPA with strawberry and vanilla And then, on a whim, I also grabbed a pour of: Maple Banger - imperial stout infused with maple syrup and toasted maple wood I finished them all, but a few truly left an impression. The Chonk was indulgent and playful--like drinking dessert--with that banana split profile hitting every note just right. The Sic'em Sour was a fruity explosion, sharp and refreshing, like someone blended summer and poured it in a glass. And just when I thought I was done, the Maple Banger hit me like a warm hug from a Canadian lumberjack. Rich, velvety, and layered with real maple goodness--I could've had endless glasses of that one. Hands down a personal favorite. Two flights and a couple of cans came to around $30, which felt totally fair for the experience and the quality. Overall, The Whale is a fun, flavorful stop for beer lovers, especially if you enjoy exploring different styles. Not every brew was a hit, but the vibe was awesome, the décor was unique, and a few of those beers? Truly memorable. I'd definitely stop by again next time I'm in Greenville.

WELL Fireforge proved me wrong and set themselves apart. We had the pickle platter, Reuben, and studio fifty forge. Not sure what they have in their brine but I would purchase again and again. The studio fifty forge was delicious. The only thing I would change is real bacon and not the microwaveable. Even though it was the microwave bacon it was still heated to be crispy. Huge beer selections and friendly staff. PLENTY of outdoor and indoor seating. Parking validation is also available. It might be had to find parking during busier times, but would still go again and recommend to others.
