Only came here for a four pack while throwing axes at the nearby Axe throwing room. I can't rate 13 Stripes simply off of that so I'll share a funny story about it. The attendant at the Axe throwing encouraged my friend and I to feel free and grab beers and bring them so we could enjoy while throwing axes. I thought that would be cool, but figured why don't we warm up throwing first. Then another party of about four people come in with their beers - in glasses. I think "cool, they have the right idea." So I run across the lot and get the 4 pack of Light & Glory Ale. The bartender stops me with, oh glasses can't be taken out of the brewery past the outdoor seating area. I tell him there was a group that just did that. He paused for a second and said "yeeeeeah......they weren't supposed to do that." It's likely they snuck over there. The bartender was really cool. Let me sample a few beers and told me if I didn't want to take all the beers, I could leave the other two and pick them up when I was ready to leave. I did this and came back a few hours later and he handed the other two I purchased no problem. So, how's the beer? Oh, it's great! You should try some!

Serious industrial vibe here in this taproom that was once a factory floor. The place is neighbors with a restaurant and across the way is an arcade and a hatchet throwing place. They have a patio outside and that looked super comfortable. But I needed electricity today for the laptop and found it inside, enjoying a small pint of their "Kovats Vienna Lager." Tasty stuff and when I had finished that one, I returned for another but they were out. Serious bummer, but that's a good sign because it means the beer is fresh. Unfortunately, IPA and stouts aren't my taste so I was one and done today. Nice spot for hanging out! [Review 19362 overall - 936 in South Carolina - 332 of 2023.]

Good place! Open and inviting, very casual place to enjoy a beer indoors or out. Plenty of room for a crowd. Bring your own food or have some delivered from The Farehouse next door!

Definitely a well hidden brewery in the middle of Taylors. You drive on this narrow road, go past some old mills, consider if you are even on the right road or if GPS really screwed up. And then voila! 13 Stripes Brewery pops up. This brewery has a charming historic feel to it. Also provides a spacious place to enjoy beer and good music. Their beers are so unique. They don't do flights but will let you sample as many as you want before deciding. I got the peach Tripel and it was delicious and a whopping 8-9% ABV. They have some snacks with chips, hummus, cheese curds and bars. However Farehouse opened right next door and I've seen people bring in their pizzas for food.

What a great place. We were headed to the airport for an 8:50 pm flight so we had the entire day to chill. We opted for a brewery toward the airport. Lyft didn't even know this place was there. Once inside (huge open space) we sat at the bar. We sampled (no flights just 10 oz pours) the IPA's and the stouts/nitros. All good. Staff were friendly. It was brew day so we were able to watch them do that. Clean and bathrooms are great. Wonderful place and we would return time and time again. Definitely go here!

Was volun-drafted to come here for Trivia Night.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR TRIVIA NIGHT! The emcee has the false idea that he is funny. They change the rules during the game. The music rounds are not played in a format conducive to allow for those participating to hear. It is probably due to the high/vaulted ceilings creating an echo. The big no-no was the changing of the rules. In the beginning, they announced the team in next to last place gets free beer. They had 3 teams tied with zero points at the end and 3 teams tied with 1 point at the end. They CLAIMED the zero point teams were not in last place. They didn't count. Thus the 3 teams with 1 point were actually in last place and thus not eligible to win the free beer. Obviously they didn't want to give free beer to 3 teams. On a better note, the bathrooms were very clean. LOL! Just do NOT go here for Trivia Night.

Great hidden gem! Our friend told us about this place and we decided to come. It wasn't hard to find but it's definitely hidden. Inside is very beautiful and spacious. Lots of room but I did hear they can be super busy. We sat at a long table. My husband got a few beers and was happy with his selections. He also liked the merchandise they have that you can purchase. This is a fun and chill place and we would definitely come back when we are in town again!

13 Stripes is an awesome spot for hanging with friends & drinking great brews! The Farehouse next door has awesome pizza, & they will bring it over to you at the Brewery! I highly recommend the citrus beer! Seating outside is nice, especially on a cool day! Plenty of space inside & the staff is all friendly!

So I throughly enjoyed visiting this brewery. I loved the concept of it being in an old mill. The staff was nice, there was ample parking. I also enjoyed that it was fairly covid friendly with the doors being open and outdoor seating. I felt completely safe and would totally come back!

WELL Fireforge proved me wrong and set themselves apart. We had the pickle platter, Reuben, and studio fifty forge. Although I'm not big on Reuben's my boyfriend said it was one of his top Reuben's and that man orders Reuben's on the regular. The pickle party was delicious. Not sure what they have in their brine but I would purchase again and again. The studio fifty forge was delicious. The only thing I would change is real bacon and not the microwaveable. Even though it was the microwave bacon it was still heated to be crispy. Huge beer selections and friendly staff. PLENTY of outdoor and indoor seating. Parking validation is also available. It might be had to find parking during busier times, but would still go again and recommend to others.

Craft cocktails and house beers served at a bustling wood-heavy bar, playful signage, local flair, and a relaxed but rowdy Southern vibe. The bartender bursting with Southern personality stands behind the rich, wood-worn bar, confident and radiant. Her sleeves are rolled up, a few loose strands of hair catching the daylight as she moves with effortless rhythm. A warm, knowing smile spreads across her face as she happily serves a jug of the house-made egg nog. Soon after, she prepares a crafty Old Fashioned--measuring the bourbon, stirring clear ice in a heavy rocks glass, perfectly embodying the brewery's quirky southern soul and big-hearted attitude. There's a lived-in comfort to the space: scuffed wood that tells stories, sunlight pooling across tables, and small-town pride in every detail. The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious, equal parts gathering place and second home. It's where locals come not just for the beer or cocktails, but for the familiarity--the nods, the shared jokes, the sense of belonging that keeps them hanging around long after the glass is empty. Cheers!

The nautical theme and decor throughout the space was a great touch--anchors, ropes, and deep-sea tones gave it a quirky, seafaring charm that made the experience feel more curated and intentional. There were a few groups hanging out when we arrived, and while it wasn't packed, there was only one bartender working, so we waited about five minutes to be helped--not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of. We each ordered a flight, and here's what I tried: Sic'em Sour - sour ale with peach and cherry Italian ice Sour Blueberry Lime - sour ale with blueberry and lime Chonk: Banana Split - sour ale with banana, strawberry, chocolate, and lactose Strawberry Shortshake - milkshake IPA with strawberry and vanilla And then, on a whim, I also grabbed a pour of: Maple Banger - imperial stout infused with maple syrup and toasted maple wood I finished them all, but a few truly left an impression. The Chonk was indulgent and playful--like drinking dessert--with that banana split profile hitting every note just right. The Sic'em Sour was a fruity explosion, sharp and refreshing, like someone blended summer and poured it in a glass. And just when I thought I was done, the Maple Banger hit me like a warm hug from a Canadian lumberjack. Rich, velvety, and layered with real maple goodness--I could've had endless glasses of that one. Hands down a personal favorite. Two flights and a couple of cans came to around $30, which felt totally fair for the experience and the quality. Overall, The Whale is a fun, flavorful stop for beer lovers, especially if you enjoy exploring different styles. Not every brew was a hit, but the vibe was awesome, the décor was unique, and a few of those beers? Truly memorable. I'd definitely stop by again next time I'm in Greenville.
