My wife, her mother and I went to the Hare and Hound Pub for lunch. My wife ordered the wedge salad with salmon and the quiche. My mother in law ordered the chicken tenders basket. I ordered the fish and chip. All of our food choices were delicious. They also served popcorn as an appetizer. We enjoyed the food and the service. The ambience was good too. Nice. My first visit was a good one.

Stopped here on a day trip to Landrum. Seated almost immediately, which was so nice! Our server was Ben and he took our order for a "Pilgrim" sandwich and a Reuben right away. We enjoyed the popcorn that was brought to the table: We also placed an order of the Onion Straws.

Simply BEAUTIMUS!!!! On Saturday, 7 June 2025, my wife and son had our first experience ever with the Hare and Hound. OUTSTANDING! Brianna the Server nailed it with superb first-rate Southern Hospitality Customer Service. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty just like it looked on Instagram and Facebook. The Fried Pickles hit it, my wife's Catfish Dinner hit it harder and the Honey Chicken Salad entree' for me was spot-on for a Southern joint selling it. We dined on the Patio area outside under a big ole Maple Tree (at least, I think it was a Maple but a big tree nonetheless) so it was pure-bred small Southern Town outside dining at its best, seriously. I have been all around this land and this is one of the best places ever to dine.

Clam chowder very very good. It's was loaded.

Fantastic Landrum pub! Delicious food, creative daily specials, and a friendly, attentive team. Loved sitting outside under the tree canopy after antique shopping. Highly recommend!

The Hare and Hound is not just a Pub, it is family. It all starts when you are greeted at the door by Marjie, the best hostess around. She always greets you with a smile. Then you get to the amazing waitstaff. Some of whom the wife and I have "adopted"...or they have us. The Management folks like Jenny and Dave are always on top of things. They stop by to make sure all is good and share a good talk. This all starts at the top with Patty Otto, the owner. Thanks Patty and Staff for a consistent awesome experience. Thanks for making us feel like we are family.

We when here with a reservation for 12 on a week night. The table setup wasn't the most ideal for chatting with everyone. Service was very good and efficient. The Brussel sprout app wasn't on the menu but it's available if you ask. There were some great specials and the best things we ate were specials. The duck was very good and the flatbread with persimmons was fantastic. I firmly believe this is the best place you could eat anywhere around. The ladies who got the stuffed pork chop had mixed reviews one glowing and one average. I thought the bread pudding was pretty good and a nice way to finish dinner.

That being said, we wanted a quieter setting. There was a band playing when we arrived but saw there was outside seating which was perfect because we enjoyed the music that was being played, but again, we wanted to talk. The porch was a perfect place to do both! The music was loud enough we could hear it but quiet enough that we had a wonderful time, drinking our wine/cocktails and hanging out. The inside was also super chill because it's dimly lit and there are two bar areas. If we lived closer, I could see my husband and I coming here often for a date spot or with friends! When we arrived, one of the staff members was helpful because we hadn't been here before so we weren't sure where to order. We went to the bar as instructed and ordered our drinks. My aunt and I both ordered a glass of wine--she had a sav. Blanc and I got the Prosecco. The guys ordered a dark and stormy, the hibiscus house cocktail, and a Manhattan. We all enjoyed our drinks thoroughly! If you are visiting the area, stop by!!

We saw they had food too, mostly tapas style; but pretty extensive, so we ordered a few appetizers to share as well. We ordered the edamame which had truffle salt and soy sauce spices. It was a little messy, but really good, and a great deal at $7. We also ordered the bacon-wrapped scallops, ($15). There was a sweet Thai bourbon sauce on those; and the reviews were mixed. My sister thought they were too sweet and my daughter's boyfriend and my husband thought they were delicious! Although they do have a full bar; we only ordered beer & wine. The two wines ordered at the table were Old Soul Pinot Noir and a Sauvignon Blanc. Again prices were good at $7. Three of us had beer; Miller Lite & Michelob Ultra for just a few bucks each. Our visit was at 5:30 on a Friday and the place was just starting to fill up. They had limited seating due to the covid pandemic and there were tables, high tops, the bar area plus a patio. It was chilly on our visit, but there was a group on the patio taking advantage of the cool weather with the tower heater. There only appeared to be 2 employees out front; the bartender & one server.....they both did their best to keep up with orders as the place became busier and busier. I really liked this place & it has a great location right on the main highway. The prices were good and there were many options for eating and drinking with very affordable prices.

Instead, I became spiritually welded to a barstool while the TV blasted a man in flannel yeeting a chainsaw like it owed him money. And the fried pickles. Good grief. Those things ambushed me.
