My friend also got the trio of dips with queso, guac, and salsa. All three dips were really good and exceeded our expectations, especially the queso and guac. The Triple Dipper was solid but not worth all the hype I see online. I wasn't a fan of the Chicken Crispers. The flavor didn't stand out and the chicken was a bit too chewy for my taste. Normally, I would not review businesses that are chain restaurants, but I had to see in this case because I thought the meal was very good and the service was exemplary. Of these types of restaurants, I've always thought that Chili's is the best. I went there to that location because it was Veterans Day and they were offering free meals. I had my usual Oldtimer with cheese burger. It was great! Juicy not greasy, meat was properly prepared, and the toppings were plentiful and produce was fresh. The french fries were crisp. My last few trips to various Chili's locations have been less than stellar so I was a bit hesitant, but glad I went to this location. Another sidenote about the atmosphere. We ate lunch at Chili's Grill & Bar on Fairview after our trip to the Happy Cow Creamery. It has been years since I dined at Chili's. The menu has changed some, they no longer offer the 2 for $25, but they are offering 3 for $11.99, depending on what main course you choose. This includes a drink, an appetizer and an entree. You can also get three different dips and chips for an added $2.49. I did the three dips for my appetizer, and the bacon ranch chicken quesadillas for my entree. I have been eating at Chili's for many many years from Florida to South Carolina and I have never been so disappointed as the one Chili's in Simpsonville, SC. We have been here 3 times since we moved and it is getting worse each time. Where are your employees? I am sitting here on New Years even and there is no bartender?? I really enjoy Chili's food but the location in Simpsonville has been struggling with management over the past few weeks. My wife and I arrived Sunday at 3 p.m. and the restaurant was nearly empty except for several patrons at the bar. So it was surprising when we were told there would be a 30 minute wait "due to having no servers." Ummmmm... what? Okay, so we had to see this car wreck to the end and settled in. We were finally seated and our waiter kept walking past until finally taking our order 15 minutes later. Then we waited and waited and waited some more for our appetizer, which was brought just after the entrees arrived 30 minutes later. This location is clearly under poor management, which is responsible for scheduling and hiring. I can accept an occasional inconvenience but this was the second time in two weeks we had a very bad experience. Chili's isn't the place I want to spend an entire Sunday afternoon, but I did watch a women's conference basketball championship game from start to finish.
