We were always fans of the chicken enchilada soup but we had it a few times some years ago and it was awful. Recently I had lunch with a friend here and I had the enchilada soup and it was really good so my husband got their 2 for $25 meal. We chose the texas fries half order and we both opted for the baby back ribs. We ate the house bbq and have yet to eat the honey chipotle ribs. The ribs never fail and the fries had a good amount of cheese and bacon. We both got the loaded mashed potatoes and it was sufficiently loaded but to meal seemed a bit dry. I think sour cream would be a nice touch. My husband also got the mexican rice and he loved it. I got the coleslaw which was okay. Not enough dressing. For dessert we got the skillet cookie or cookie skillet with ice cream, very delicious. We picked up this order on Friday night and it's now sunday and we're still eating from it. We were very pleased and will be returning sooner then we think. We placed our order online and dis curbside pickup. This feature is a definite plus for new parents that don't have time for much. read more

This by far was one of the worst experiences I have had at Chili's. It started when I found a plastic plug in my iced tea (see picture). When I told the closest waitress she laughed and said that it was the plug from the iced tea. Then went off to get me a new drink (which she brought with no straw, hardly any ice and not even full). I then told my waitress who also laughed and shrugged it off, as if this was normal. Then our chips and salsa arrive and the chips were all broken, as if they were the crumbs at the bottom. Then she disappears for over 10 minutes, in which time my toddler needed a refill on water. I had to ask the hostess to get her water and told her our waitress was MIA and we needed more chips and salsa. When she finally comes she has 1 entree which had brown avocado slices on it, yuck and no chips and salsa. The hostess never even told her. Then the second entree arrived and it was in one piece. However the amount of salt was ridiculous. There was never an apology for the plastic plug or the lacking service and there was no compensation on the bill. The entire visit was a major fail on Chili's part. They only reason I gave them a 2 was the second batch of chips and salsa were good. read more

my family and i came here today for a quick lunch after visiting the reagan museum. quick would be the polar opposite of the speed of the service we received- and there literally were 5 other tables seated in the entire place. the waitress was very uninterested when i asked how much longer it would take to get our food. I expected the food to be nasty since its chilis, which of course it was, but I didn't expect it take an hour. When you have young kids, you settle for family-friendly greasy places to eat, but at the same time, you expect quick service so your kids don't go crazy waiting. It's no wonder none of the locals of Simi Valley visit this Chilis! read more

Although the food was good, we had a bad experience here. They wanted in to wait for 30 minutes because we have 11 in our party. We asked to just be separated in 3 groups since the place was not busy, but the hostess said that they are only utilizing half of the restaurant. When we agreed to sit at the bar, the manager decided they can sit us all together. Knives were dirty and crusty. Appetizer plates were so wet that we have to dry them ourselves. Been there 3 times in 2 weeks based on proximity. Got Tara the first time and the service was fabulous as was the food. Not disappointed the second visit, but had a new waiter that was just as attentive, but not as great as Tara for personality. Went last night and fortunately got Tara again. Amazing she remembered us from 2 weeks prior. Ordered 2 bourbon and water drinks to start, but got scotch and water instead. Brought is to Tara's attention and it wasn't an issue at all. Drinks promptly replaced correctly. Manager on duty was pleasant and stopped by to check on us. We both ordered the Ribeye steaks. The steaks were fabulous and mouthwatering. Recently went to Chili's and I was surprised to see a new fall menu. What was more interesting was that they had changed the way they made some dishes for a number of years. For example they didn't serve a pickle from a jar they actually served a pickled cucumber, which made a world of difference. The burger I ordered was cooked exactly how I asked for it medium well. The french fries had been changed to a more texturally pleasant and more desirable looking side dish. The table side guacamole was absolutely spot on. I have learned the hard way that too often when I order take out I get home and find items left out of my order. It's annoying a the very least. My last order at Chili's was pretty sizable. When you go to the restaurant to purchase and pick up your food it is honestly impossible to stand there and inventory everything. It it is clearly the responsibility of the restaurant to see to it that the order is complete. On my order today they left out rice and beans for two different meals. How does this always happen? Where do I start... I've been coming to chili's for a long time and my experience the other night in the bar area was horrible. The bartender was too busy drinking behind the bar, didn't know your able to drink on the job. So unprofessional and he was rude, you should consider hiring people that actually care about they're jobs. This chili's needs to be cleaned up started with your employees, I promised myself I wouldn't go back after my visit a month ago but my kids love chili's. So disappointed. I haven't been to chilis in years and now I won't go back. The service was terrible, they messed up 3 of 6 orders. The "sizzling" fajitas were cold upon arriving to table and were so salty hard to eat. The only bright side to our experience was they took off one item that we did eat and another item we never received. Chilis is usually a very predictable chain. I had the buffalo chicken salad here - the chicken was good and I think they got the buffalo sauce just right. I would have liked to see more romaine lettuce on my plate but I just have to remember I'm at Chilis! Average experience, no complaints. read more

Decided to go back and had a much better experience AND a fantastic waitress. She was really attentive, the food came out quickly and i could tell it confused her when i asked how long the "style of cooking" for the dish I ordered would take {i then explained my previous visit to her to help her understand} But overall a much better experience. My family came here for dinner on a Sunday around 6:30. Walking in there were about 10 people in the entrance waiting to be seated. There was no one at the hostess stand so I wasn't sure if we should seat ourselves. After a 10 minute wait we were seated, walking past multiple empty but dirty tables. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was good. The Honey-Chipotle Crispers & Waffles were delicious!! I will definitely be craving those soon. The reason for knocking 2 stars off is the place was filthy! My baby dropped her toy under the table and I bent down to get it. I was disgusted to see how much food and trash was under the table. Looking around I saw there wasn't a square foot of clean floor anywhere. Also, every single empty table was covered in dirty dishes and glasses. Did they forget to schedule anyone to clean the place? This place is a joke, terrible management terrible employees, didn't even end up getting food. I stood waiting for a host for 10 minutes while employees peeked from the back room while they drank their sodas and made my disabled mother and down syndrome brother wait outside in the 90 degree weather for 30 mins (they said 10-15 wait) then when I went to check they acted like I had never been in there before and said it would be another 20 minutes. I genuinely used to love chili's but I refuse to give my money to a business that would treat the disabled and mentally disabled in that fashion, it's truly disgusting behavior and the whole company and this location should be ashamed of themselves. Very unprofessional will never waste my money on that business in any chain or branch again I encourage anyone reading this to do the same unless you want to openly support a company that shows they blatantly do not care about the physically and mentally disabled community. read more

my husband and I did the 2 eat for 30$ deal which includes 1 appetizer, 2 main dishes, and a Dessert and we got a great deal on our (alcoholic) drinks also. I had the jalapeno + onion strings for the appetizer along with their spicy mac n' cheese (for a little extra). The jalapenos and onion strings were AMAZING with some Ranch dipping sauce and the plate was pretty large for an appetizer.The Mac N' Cheese was REALLY good but a very small portion, not enough for BOTH my husband and I to have more than 2 bites each. For the main dish I had the rack of baby back ribs in the BBQ sauce. Im very picky when it comes to ribs, so I usually dont order ribs, but I decided to try them.... and they were EXCELLENT! just the right amount of seasoning and sauce, and the meat practically fell off the bone. The BEST ribs ive ever had, even compared to ones I've had at home or at friends' houses (sorry guys). For desert we had the chocolate chip paradise pie, lets just say my husband had to fight me for the last few bites lol. I just wish our waitress would have been a little more friendly (I guess she was having a bad day which I understand, But having worked in the restaurant business myself, you leave that at the door, and treat each customer as best as you can. She practically ignored us the whole time, we were dinning with another couple, and by the time that she brought us the check, all the dishes (and empty glasses, approx 9 or 10 glasses) were still on the table. So it was a pretty big mess. The only reason we even got refills is because i had to politely ask the other servers for re-fills since we didn't see our server from the time she dropped off the food till the time she dropped off the check. So the service is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. But I would go to this establishment again, and just hope that if we got the same server, that she was having a better day. read more

I always order the same thing, and always ask to be seated in Kirsties (spelling?) section, she always greets me with my drink and gives me a bit to review the menu even though I end up ordering the same every time!! Sub-par service. Decent chain food. Live right down the street but only went here once with family and the sweet server was just totally out of it. No matter how friendly and funny you are, you can still ruin a diner's experience by being a really terrible server. She forgot too many important things and disappeared for far too long for us to be satisfied. I can't base it all on one server though which is why they get 3 stars. We went to chilis on Saturday night the service was good but the food was awful. I have never had so much sodium and process taste in my food. The salad was dry and tasted like plastic bag My soup was so thick i thought it was chili and the fajitas were salty and tortillas were thin and dry. I will never eat at this chilis ever again. The server knew nothing about gluten allergies and put croutons on my salad after i ordered it without. The lemonade was watered down as was the soda. Whoever owns this franchise is cheap and doesn't think of quality before the mighty dollar. I give them no stars and will tell everyone to not eat there. I have never really had a huge problem with this place to not give them four stars. I have had a couple minor issues but nothing too serious. Some of the servers are not great, but I have had a good handful of them who are very great and attend to all my needs. The food is great for the prices they have. I usually get the 2 for 20 deal. The chips and salsa are my favorite chips in salsa in Simi! They have cold mugs for beer and excellent options in Margaritas! I enjoy the atmosphere, and love sitting in the bar. However, when you sit in the bar you don't get as great as service as you do in the restaurant as the bar is usually packed! read more
