When I, Obadiah Thornwillow, erstwhile husbandman and full-time lover of life's simpler indulgences, ventured into this fine establishment, I was greeted by the most miraculous promise: sustenance without toil! No oxen to rear, no potatoes to coax from the earth--only the sweet simplicity of a menu handed to me with nary a calloused palm in sight. I chose the cheeseburger, a stack of gluttonous grandeur that could only have been dreamed of by a farmer free from the tyranny of milking cows and butchering beasts. Behold, the patty--a robust disk of bovine flesh, charred to perfection by a chef unburdened by barnyard woes. Its juices flowed with the enthusiasm of spring's first thaw, and the cheese--oh, the cheese! Melted into a golden cascade, it blanketed the patty as a warm quilt shields a slumbering lamb. The bun, soft and golden, bore no resemblance to the hard crust of a harvest loaf. It whispered promises of comfort, as if the wheatfields themselves had sung lullabies to the yeast. Toppings of crisp lettuce and tart pickles completed this architectural marvel, reminding me that vegetation need not be toiled for if someone else does the toiling. Then there were the French fries, those slender ambassadors of Solanum tuberosum. Each fry, golden as the sunrise and salted with the precision of a miser's hand, transported me to a simpler time--if that time were devoid of the backbreaking labor of plowing fields and digging tubers. The experience of dining on such fare, in a chair not fashioned by my own hand and under a roof I did not thatch, brought tears of joy to my eyes. Surely, this is what civilization hath wrought! For a mere handful of coins--no bartering of eggs or wool required--Chili's bestowed upon me the taste of the good life. In conclusion, my friends, let us rejoice in the modern miracle that is Chili's Grill & Bar. Here, one may partake of the fruits (and fries) of another's labor, leaving the noble arts of cattle restoration and potato cultivation to those more inclined. Had lunch here today, as we keeps seeing the 3 for me ad and wanted to give it a try. Due to only one server working the tables, there was a bit of a wait. When she was able to get our order, everything came out quickly. Although her checking up on our table was a bit sparse, she got us refills and was super friendly every time. I got the bowl of loaded potato soup and it wasn't bad, a bit salty, but fine. My burger was pretty decent, but I wanted raw onions in my burger and it came out with none. Not a huge deal, but the kick of the onions was missing. Overall, not bad... but nothing that really stands out either. read more

Ordered delivery today. Why is it the "assembler" seems to be the person not paying attention? My delivery slip says, assembled by: Chelsie :-). Ordered beef fajitas and chili con queso with chips. The beef fajitas were ok....came with 4 flour tortillas that appeared to be microwaved. I put them on my plate, assembled my tacos....and by the time I sat down....the tortillas were like cardboard....I order flour...because i like soft tacos!!! What the heck. One of the worst food delivered we have had' burger slider was overcooked, bin was stale, no sauce and 2 tiny pieces of grilled onion, like 2 small pieces of chopped onion. Staff were literally two feet away from the counter and couldn't see or hear me cause they were busy holding conversation in the back. Had to peak around the corner and excuse myself to get their attention, and the first girl gave me attitude when I had the right to complain about standing behind the counter for a while when they were right there. No hospitality or fake apology. She wasn't even the one to hand me my food, another girl who was nice enough to ask if I needed anything else handed it to me, but I was already miffed from the first girl. I came to chilis after quite a long time not entirely sure what to expect and The server Zach was phenomenal! He was beyond helpful and very attentive as he gave us recommendations, checked in on us if we needed anything as far as utensil or more food or drinks and kept us very comfortable for our entire visit. I feel like everything is "pre- made" or frozen. Chicken fingers, frozen, then fried. NOT fresh. Ribs are probably par boiled, then put on the grill when ordered. The only decent thing they have is the southwest rolls. The cheese sticks are okay but then again, those are frozen too! Very disappointed in the meal overall and spent $70.00 to boot! We were sat within 4 minutes of arriving. Ambience is nice and ac was on at the perfect temperature. Our server took our drink orders about three minutes after we were sat down at a very clean table. Our drinks arrived with not too much ice and the drinks were cold and not watered down. We order our food and it arrived prompt (about 6-7 minutes) warm and delicious. Seems across the board, Chili's has suffered bad reviews. I'm not trying to add to the negativism but, truth be told, they are beyond bad food and into the realm of bad service. Denying it to the extent of asking me to leave because I expressed my dissatisfaction. I showed my concern to the bartender, stating that she wasn't to blame for the bad food I sent back twice. She stated if I gave a bad survey, it would reflect on her personally. I gave her 5 stars and a 25% tip, then asked to speak to the manager. Kevin was unconcerned, and irritated that I asked for a refund for the food I clearly did not eat. He finally agreed but asked me to leave because I was abrasive. He refused to give me a receipt for the refund and became evasive when I asked to speak to his supervisor. I left. Simply choosing to not return seemed to enable them to treat others this way, therefore, I offer you this. Lower your standards, do not expect good food, do not expect to get good service, do not expect to get what you pay for. If you are ok with this, and the fact they hold servers personally accountable for corporate greed of the degradation of quality, then this is your place.
