Went there for Veterans Day. The hostess handed my husband a thank you note upon entering. What a thoughtful gesture! There was also the "Fallen Comrade Table". One of the few places I've seen this. I have some good things to say but also some bad things which are just not acceptable in the food service industry. Positive: our server handled our large party of 11 extremely well! They did such a great job of checking on us. It was nice that Chili's was super accommodating to us as well! My boyfriend and I ordered the vegetarian fajitas. They were AWESOME! So many more vegetables came than I expected. Unfortunately, we noticed a mistake on the tray of fajita fixings: there was chicken. Fortunately, I don't think either of us ate any. It was buried under some other toppings, but it was a couple of pieces. This is so unacceptable in the food industry. Whether someone modifies their order based on diet, allergies, or morals, this should never happen. This is something that must be checked before bringing food to the table. The food was HOT and fresh! Very pleased with this visit. My husband had honey chipotle crispers and waffles, he loved it! I am vegan so I ordered veggie Fajitas without butter sauce and without dairy. They have an option of a black bean burger on the fajitas and it was excellent in flavor and very filling. The waitress Debbie (great waitress very informative and got everything right) let me know that they can replace any burger with the black bean patty. We also had happy hour margarita $4 and blueberry pineapple margarita which was out of this world (quite sweet). Very happy with the visit! read more

I want to start by saying yes we should not have come in 15min before closing time. But we just moved to Wisconsin rapids WI from Palm Springs CA and there aren't many restaurants. So when we came to Plover for some shopping and we wanted to enjoy a nice dinner. We came to Chili's at 8:45pm. They close at 9pm, but they let us in. My husband ordered a double whiskey coke with the coke on the side. Because he requested it like this we could clearly see how much whisky was in his "double" so he asked our server if this was truly a double. She replied that she rang a double in and that's what the bartender gave her. You could tell she was uncomfortable going back to the bartender about it. So we left it. After she brought our drinks I asked if we should order another round now since they were closing and clearly the bartender wasn't happy. Soon after this I could hear the bartender yelling at our waitress that they can't give another drink when the customer has not finished their first drink. She then started saying that she would've filled the drink later on. Which I get BUT she said it was such attitude and rudeness that the minute I overheard at all I yelled from my table that is fine and I can wait. I was appalled about the way the bartender was talking to her fellow employee! Around 9:10 my husband got a call from my father-in-law who was closing down the business that we own and had some questions. My husbands phone was about to die so we went to go outside. That's when the bartender started telling him that he is not allowed outside at this point unless it is a serious situation. At this point my husband was pissed. If it wasn't for me calming him down he probably would've started yelling at this woman. Our waitress was absolutely amazing though! She was totally OK with us being there and even said for us not to rush because she had side work she had to do anyways. Right before leaving I think it might've been a manager came up to us and apologized for the the scene that we saw regarding the drinks. And gave us a few gift cards. I really do appreciate that. However I have a sense that the bartender has been there for a long time and runs things even though she is not the manager. Again I know we got there 15 minutes before closing and obviously that sucks for people people who work there. But for the bartender to blatantly be upset by this and make it very clear to the customers was absolutely ridiculous! However, OUR WAITRESS WAS AMAZING!!! The only reason why they are getting a 3 star review is because of the waitress! Our ribeye was over cooked and obviously the uncomfortableness right off the back made our evening crappy. I have very mixed feelings about this place. The dining experience started out wrong because of the onion petals appetizer- I am not a chef so I don't know what they did wrong, but the fried coating was soggy with oil and the onion inside had basically disintegrated. My husband thought they had a strange aftertaste. Our entrees took FOREVER to come .... but tasted great. So did dessert. So I'm honestly not that upset about this place in general, but not that impressed either. Usually, we don't mind Chili's. And before I start, I want to say that I realize everyone is short-staffed. That said, we were seated right away, and our order was taken quickly. Our food--not great. My steak fajitas were chewy, and my husband and daughter got chicken crispers (Daughter got the spicy ones). Both orders were mushy. And the spicy ones tasted like the non-spicy ones. My son did get a burger and said it was great. The guac and chips were also great, although they didn't bring out chips and asked if we were supposed to have chips with our big bowl of guac. Kind of made me say, huh? Nothing was cleared from the table. We had to "catch" our waitress to bring out more drinks. This I can attribute to short-staffing, and not her fault. She was very nice. A family coming out of 6 said they don't have tables for large groups (there were 4 kids...) and they couldn't wait. It was a little disappointing, as there were large tables available, and it kind of felt like they didn't want to deal with them. We had a wonderful lunch here yesterday. Even though we arrived at the height of the lunch rush, service was fast, friendly, and accurate. I have an intolerance to cilantro that i expressed to our server, to be certain no pico di gallo would be on my plate. The manager even came out to talk to me and assure me that I would get none. When my steak and broccoli came out, everything was done to perfection, and they just used diced tomato to garnish my steak, for color. It was delicious! It had been awhile since we had been there, but seeing their updated Lighter Choice options and having all of the staff be so concerned and accommodating, we will be going back. read more

They're on DoorDash.com but not really?! Okay. My boyfriend have had horrible service in person at this restaurant time and time again. But when I saw they were available on door dash I thought "YAY!" I can have it delivered and their poor service won't matter. Nope, it translates into online ordering. I have ordered it for lunch, just fine, ordered it for dinner (once) just fine. TWO TIMES now they have cancelled my order with Door Dash as soon as I place it stating they are not taking orders. Tonight I placed a $50 order at 7:59pm because last time we ordered at 8:10 and that was just "too late". I get a call from Door Dash saying the Chili's system wasn't accepting orders so they called and they wouldn't take the order by phone either. Ummm what?!? They're refusing to take an order by phone? I can go on chili's.com and order for pick up, but they can't get an order ready for a delivery driver to pick up?! That makes literally no sense. If you're going to refuse to service paying customers, then don't sign up to be a restaurant on the app! Secondly, they give you way less food if you order for delivery AND their fried pickles were atrocious. Disgustingly burnt and fried in dirty oil. I'm officially DONE with Chili's. read more

The service was awesome and we had an amazing server (Elizabeth) she brought more chips and drink refills we didn't even have to ask, I ordered a six ounce sirloin that was better then a lot of filets I've had elsewhere. All the other food around the table was good another member at my table ordered the unlimited soup and salad and he never had to wait for more. Came in with my family for the first time today. We had two of the crispy chicken strips kids meals, a chicken fajitas, and a crispy honey chipotle chicken crispers. Everything came hot and was descent tasting. The service was ok, nothing special. Right before we were finishing up the came through and swept right by out table, which I thought could have waited until we had left instead of kicking up dirt on our food. And the restaurant itself was very cold. We all kept out coats on the whole time we ate. We will probably come back but not for a little while. read more
