The mushrooms were a mystery to us and we felt they should have been listed as mushroom chips, because instead of being slices they were super thin (more like shaved) so you didn't get any mushroom flavor, it was just batter flavor. The clam chowder soup was insanely bland, no amount of salt, pepper or crackers could save it. The wrap was the best thing we ordered; very delicious. The shrimp fry was just so-so, as the shrimp were small and the batter was thick so there again the batter overwhelmed what it was covering and I ended up peeling most of the batter off just to taste the shrimp. When you consider the food prices, the credit card fee, and the taste of the food itself, it's hard to even give this place 3 out of 5 stars and call it "average." I hate giving lower reviews, especially to smaller businesses, but this place needs some work. I'm going to write the kind of honest review I wish I would have seen before going here. To start, the prices are quite high. For what they're charging, I expected much better food. On top of that, they also charge a credit card fee, which means they are passing that cost onto the customer in addition to the high menu prices. That alone is an immediate negative for me. The ambience of the place itself isn't bad. It's a larger restaurant, and the curved door and circular shape are actually kind of cool. It's also cool having TVs all around. We were there on a Saturday night, and it was pretty slow. That said, if the locals have been here before, I can understand why it was slow, given the food quality and prices. I got the 1/2 Tequila BBQ Burger, and it was pretty boring. I can make much better burgers at home. It needed better seasoning, or really just any seasoning at all. The tequila bbq sauce was fine, but it mostly tasted like very sweet barbecue sauce. I got waffle fries with my order, and they were also just fine. Someone else at our table got the beer-battered fries, and those were much better. I do want to give them credit there. The beer-battered fries were actually quite good. I asked my wife and sister what they thought of their meals, and both of them were incredibly disappointed. My wife got a salad with chicken, and it was very boring. Again, it was something we could make better at home for cheaper. My sister got the salmon, and she was not impressed at all. I read through some of the other reviews, and I think a lot of them may be from locals, whereas I was just visiting town. But I agree with many of the negative points people have made, and I've already said it here: the food just isn't good, especially considering the prices they're charging. I'd recommend looking for a different restaurant in the area. If management happens to read this review, I think they could improve things by reviewing the quality of the food they're serving and working to improve the overall taste. Otherwise, they should consider lowering prices to better match the quality of the food. The portion sizes were good, and that is another thing I do want to give them credit for. At the end of the day, maybe we just didn't order the right things, but no one at our table enjoyed their meal enough to want to go back. This place needs a lot of work, and I hope they have better success in the future. Next time we are in town, though, we will be going somewhere else.

Soup flights for the win!…read more A last minute invitation resulted in us finding a restaurant we will definitely check out again in the future! A short drive from the Fox Valley, I was startled to see such a nice pub and grill. Looks great from the outside and even nicer in the inside. If I lived close by, I'm sure I'd be there frequently. Plenty of televisions, gaming machines and a well designed layout. I was seriously impressed. The night we went, they only offered soup flights. We were told by our friends, who had been there several times, that they offer only pizzas, soups and appetizers. Our friends had not tried the pizza but said the appetizers are great. There were literally a dozen soups to choose from for our flights. I picked sausage tortellini, clam chowder and stuffed pepper for my flight. It also comes with a piece of cheese/garlic bread. Not only were the soups nice and hot, they were all tasty. This sentiment was shared by my dining partners. The staff were friendly and helpful. The drinks were reasonable and well made. The ambience was excellent. Definitely a place we will return to!

There was just the one man who I believe is the owner working in front and he was busy taking and filling orders the whole time we were in. We ordered the meatballs app and a sausage pizza. While the crust is not made in house, the thin style we went with was super nice and flaky/crispy and the pizza sauce slightly sweet. All in all it was a good meal.

She immediately popped off with "I can't do that, you special ordered it".
