There were sooooo many people there due to graduations and other celebrations in the area... And that's okay...I guess.... Took nearly 45 minutes to get seated, we ordered chips and salsa an appetizer and food also both got coffees and water... The coffee and water and chips and salsa showed up and reasonable amount of time. The coffee was terrible, weak and lacking in flavor. Waiter seem to be counting creamer containers that he brought cuz he was like is 2 going to be enough? I should have been like no I want 12 of them! The chips weren't fresh nor were they salted, and the salsa seems more like tomato sauce than any salsa I've ever had! Then our food arrives about 30 minutes later, my husband's portion was very small and didn't look good, mine was served on some sort of a metal tray that look like a dishwasher container. Who serves food in that? I took pictures cuz I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I had chicken crispers that were 90% breading had no flavor and were very greasy, with Mexican street corn that they screwed up... Not sure how you messed that one up! And Fries that I didn't eat. We had different servers throughout the meal... My husband's meal was Monterey chicken which was a tiny little piece and not made correctly, a tiny little serving of loaded mashed potatoes, and corn. Service was slow, rude, lazy, and when we're ready to pay... She kept delaying us needless to say no tip was left. When it's time to leave that's when you want to get people on their way quickly! I'd like to find something to redeem about this place, but it was loud, noisy, basketball game was on every TV and there and everybody's screaming clapping... Service was slow, food was terrible, yeah I know it's Modesto but when you're a couple with children and you rarely get to get out... It's very disappointing to suffer through a meal like this! My husband used to work for Chilis back about 15-20 years ago as a cook, as we were leaving he simply said never again. So bye chilis! We came here on Easter Sunday. The place was not crowded & we were seated immediately. Our server was pleasant, the food was surprisingly very good, the salmon (they only have one fish dish), half order baby back ribs, & steak w/grilled avocado and the chocolate molten cake was huge, we shared among us. I was visiting one of my work locations Oct 10th and got to go lunch for one of my employees and myself here. I had the Caribbean grilled chicken salad, and she had the Santa fe crispy chicken salad. We called it in, but she said it wasn't ready when she arrived, and had to wait almost 20 minutes more for it. It tasted decent but didn't have much greens in it, was kinda skimpy. She said hers was better months ago, and they changed something in the recipe. But for 23.00 for lunch cant beat the price. It's an okay food place . It's not like a go to place for me and my wife, but it will do if you can't think of anything else. The only thing I'll give here as a recommendation is that you don't have to tip them 18% as you pay it will give you options and the minimum tip is 18% . With the way they give their service I would say customize your tip and give them the 15% or whatever you think they deserve for the service they gave you. I love Chili's, I am addicted to the chicken enchilada soup, and it did not disappoint. I also ordered the monthly $5 margarita, which was tasty (however it was missing the cherry)! I have the Chili's app and am a rewards member, so I frequently get coupons which is awesome! I had a coupon for free chips and queso, and it was delicious and everything came out warm and yummy. I ordered the 3 for $10, so I could get the soup and chicken quesdillas. The chicken enchilada soup came out PERFECT, and I ordered my quesadillas with a few modifications and it came out correct. Summary: I feel like Chilis is the place to go in groups when nobodys knows what they want or when everybody wants something different. My co-workers and I came here on our lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the way the food looked as well as the prompt service during our lunch. The customer service was decent. Not good or bad. I ordered the platter and really enjoyed the egg rolls and sliders. The egg rolls did not taste like your typical egg roll but rather like a flauta. Nonetheless, it was delicious and by far, my favorite part of my meal. The slider was decent. Its hard to mess up a burger. I did not like their boneless wings. It was over seasoned and dry. Got home and it was not good at all. it was cooked medium well but it was hard and tough to chew which made no sense to me. Either their meat isn't being stored properly or they gave me old meat. I like the Monterey Chicken, Enchilada soup, and a few of their desserts. Where this place fails is consistency of food temperature and awful service. Time and time again they just can't seem to understand you don not run off and never come back to your customer. We ordered: Chicken Enchilada - Solid 4 because of the creamy and crispy textures all working well together. Fajita Trio - Nothing outstanding or unique but it's good. I usually really enjoy chili's and tried this location for the first time. In my curbside pick up meal, I was served an expired corn on the cob! Some corn kernels were black, and it smelled horrible. Saturday night service was great. Wait time: 5 minutes. Our waiter, Martin, was awesome. He was attentive to our needs. It was a busy night and they seemed short staffed but everyone was doing their best. We ordered food around 5:52, this I know because I sent a photo of my kids to my mom. Around 6:28 I started to wonder where the hell out food is? People say after us were getting their food. Our server passed hubs st least 20 times and never once said hey it's coming. So finally got the food about 6:33. Mind you, I have a 2, 6 and 7 year old, who were being pretty patient the first 25 mins. But 40 mins for food in a not so busy restaurants when I have small children is unacceptable. After we finished and she finally brought the check, we asked for dessert, to GO! 10 mins later nothing, so my husband took my son to the car, my dessert comes out and its frickin plated! Oh. Um, oops? So I want my sister with the other kids to the car and waited for my boxed dessert, which my server said she did not hear us say, even though my husband and I said it like 3 times when we were ordering it. "Should we get it to go? Yes, let's get it to go. Okay, to go please".... About 7 mins later, and I have been sitting there trying to pay the check on kiosk, keeps telling me my check is not ready yet again in 30 seconds.
