Poor customer service...just horrific wait times, Dalton has a shit for service restaurant, We walked in, no acknowledgement, for at minimum 4 minutes..they walked around us. And walked away when we were going to speak. The hostess comes out with a scowl on her face and says" would you rather sit in the lounge" then just flipped her hand toward the bar without waiting for an answer. After seating ourselves we waited for a server.. 10 minutes minimum until he was called over....drink order was slow...and apps never arrived..entrees shoved onto table by actual cook or busboy..not dressed as server....paid at the table and never saw another employee.. read more

Long wait for food. Then waterglass had disgusting white stuff on inside of glass and floating in it. Waiter made a joke about "the ranch flavored water". Didn't even seem concerned, even though my son drank 2/3 if the water before seeing it. Then the guy across from us had the same thing in his coke, 10 minutes later. You'd think they would check glasses after the first time. I don't want to think about what the kitchen looks like. Waiter didn't even offer to comp a desert or something. We went twice in the same week and had very similar experiences. First the hostesses are terrible here. We weren't greeted or sat down for at least 5 minutes. At this point I was already a little frustrated. Then the service was decent. The food took a little long to come out and then when it came out it was cool both visits. The first time I got the honey chipotle chicken crispers and my fries and my crispers where both cool. The second time I got a burger and the bun on the bottom was still slightly cold and the burger all around was barely luke warm. Then I walked to the restroom and there was an entry to the kitchen right next to the walkway with chip bins open and on the floor that were too close to the walk way. Fort Union Chili's used to be the spot. They have made commendable strides in an effort to stay relevant. However, I can't help but wonder if it was all necessary. Did anyone ever stop going to Chili's? I don't remember the last time I came to Chili's and didn't have to wait. Frist, I love what they've done to the bar. They added better TVs, upgraded the lighting and got rid of the nasty bathroom tile tabletops. Now if they would just change the channel to the game you want to watch... I still can't decide how I feel about the new tablet-like system placed at every table. I think it is more of an advertising distraction than anything. You can now play games (for a sneaky fee), order food, and pay your bill at the table. The downside is less human interaction. The upside is you don't have to try to track down your waiter for the bill. I'm a bit puzzled by the new menu. They are going with a "fresh" theme. The staff is even wearing t-shirts that say "fresh is happening." Personally, I have noticed a steady decline in the overall quality of the food at Chili's. They still have most of the favorite menu items, but they just don't taste as good. With the new shift you can expect smaller portions and slightly higher prices. The "fresh" aspect seems to translate to fresh produce and it stops there. They have added bolder seasonings, fresh lettuce, lots of fresh onions, and even artisan dill pickles. Consequently, this spin is more like putting lipstick on a pig as the meat, appetizers, and desserts are all noticeably frozen, precooked, and re-heated. Chili's burgers used to be delicious and juicy. It was hard to find a better burger even at a steakhouse. Now they offer a bigger variety of burgers with lots of things on them, but the quality of the meat can be found in the freezer section of your grocery store in the preformed patties. The boneless wings are one of my all-time favorites. This time they tasted like the Friday's wings from the grocery store. Again, there is more variety and new swanky sauces, but the quality is gone. Our latest visit to Chili's made me sad. Fortunately, this was the first time ever that no one around me ordered the fajitas which always assault my nostrils and embed my clothing with an unwelcome and strangely lingering wreak. Sadly, my aromatic victory was doused by the somber realization that the go-to consistently reliable Chili's will now only be found in fond memories. Chili's is our restaurant of choice when we can't figure out where else to go. It's close, the food is good, and they have something for everyone. I do find it a little odd, however, that they seem to include bacon in every dish. Disgusting! It's the only word tat describes our food, service and atmosphere of this place last night. The restaurant appeared to be at less than 1/2 capacity. Our seating and service was incredibly SLOW! The floors were filthy with smashed food, wrappers and grease. That should've been our first clue to turn and run! Our staff ran around like it was their first day working there. Waited 30 minutes for our chips and drinks, then our waitress finally took our order (which we had to repeat several times for her to get it right). Chips were cold, translucent with grease and clumps of salt. Another 30 minutes we finally get our food. The gentleman dropped some of our food while serving it & never bothered to pick up after himself (which consequently got smashed onto the floors as staff continued to unconsciously walk over it). The food was cold! The chicken strips tasted like over processed rubber bands. The loaded potatoes had a 'funky' taste. BLICK!!! The waitress had to be asked to refill our drinks. I was thankful for the checkout option on our table as we were not looking forward to waiting another hour for our check and our chance to escape. What happened? I got a gift card from my parents so we decided to check out Chili's here on Fort Union for the first time. It's not normally a place we would go to but hey like I said we had a gift card. The waitress was nice and the hostess informed us as we were sitting that food wait times were a little longer than normal since they were having an issue in the kitchen. My wife and I decided to get the 2 for $20 offer. We both got 1/2 rack and fries. I ordered the Bock ribs and she ordered original. When the food came to the table the waitress didn't know which order of ribs was which and to be honest we couldn't decided either. The ribs were so overcooked the meat cracked because it was so dry. We sent it back and decided to get soup and salad and a order of the bacon ranch quesadilla's which were fine. Not a very great experience for us. read more

We sat down fast and our waitress was fast to greet us and take our order. Unfortunately most of our order came out wrong. Once our food came out our waitress never came back to check on us until we flagged her down for things. Don't get me started on the table tablets! I don't want my kids on screens while at dinner. To have them on the table is ridiculous it's taking up room, and begging kids to purchase way over priced games without permission! If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. We ordered from the 2 for $25 menu. They gave our appetizer to another table. Our main meal was served before the appetizer. We had to ask for the fries that were supposed to come with our meal 3 times. The waiter seemed to avoid our table after we asked for our fries the second time. I think I have said this when I did another review of Chili's? They are probably my favorite chain restaurant. I always order the chips and queso. It is a must when coming here. Having experienced an unfortunate bout of food poisoning from the Layton location, I had written off chili's. After work, my wife had a craving and I timidly agreed to follow along. I'm happy that I did. within 15 minutes of walking through the front door we were already eating. It almost felt like a fast food place, but the food was good. Not just tasty, but spot hittingly good. I had enchiladas & my wife had fajitas. Food came out hot and fast. Susie, our server was waiting on quite a few tables around us, but she was definitely in her element. Drinks were always full and she seemed to sense what we needed before we knew we needed it. My family and I have been to this location numerous times and they have been generally consistent with the service and quality of the food. My wife and I love their fajitas and we generally stick with the steak and shrimp- but sometimes add the chicken (good, but the steak/shrimp comb bar none). Occasionally on the busy nights, the service can be a little slow- and depending on your starvation level or mood, you might rank this location lower. One male server is very good at his job, so when when he covers our table, we know we are in good hands. We like using our Chili Rewards as well- love the free items over time. read more

We have come to this Chili's several times. The service is always miserably slow. We were there for two full hours tonight! The salmon was over-cooked, the rice was way too salty, and the broccoli was bland and poorly cooked. We were there for over an hour before getting any food an drink. This is fairly decent chilies for lunch time service. However, in the evening, they just can't seem to get it right. Slow service and cold food is delivered many times and the food isn't as tasty as it is at lunchtime. I have spoken with management about the evening service a couple of times and although they make promises it never gets any better. I always have a great experience at Chili's, and this particular location is usually no different. The chips and queso is always my very favorite item on the menu. I have just one complaint. The "Parmesan-crusted steak" is not really crusted with parmesan. Mine came with such a small amount of parmesan dropped on top of my steak, I could hardly taste it. Chili's is a great choice, but just be fore-warned. If you thought the Parm-crusted steak sounded good, think twice. Go for the cheddar-bacon steak instead. read more

It's a chilis. Super busy on the weekends with families and small get togethers, but always friendly staff. Definitely get the pasilla chicken. Only 410 calories and really excellent flavors!
