My friends and I are practicing pool at $1 per round. Very nice.decent tables. Balanced and the bumpers are lively. I got a pint and the bartender was nice. Gave a $1 tip and he appreciated it. The drat is Unitas and the standards, bud, bud light etc. keeping it simple. There are a good number of folks here and everyone appears nice. I like it here and comfortable. There are 5 big screen TVs and two pool tables. There's no food menu but they had steamed hotdogs and all the fixings. They have a raffle where they give away NFL jerseys x2. Bouncers are rude and condescending. Took my friends REAL id because the background of the picture was "suspicious" and made us call the cops knowing they would not come. I used to love this place untill one of the bartenders that didn't like me started spreading rumors about something that never happened. Hadn't visited this location for months because I had stopped drinking for a bit and returned to some tough service from people who I considered family. I think the employees at this bar get a power trip by needlessly kicking people out who aren't regulars. We got rudely yelled at and asked to leave for "not tipping", when we tipped generously after every round. After reading other reviews, that seems to be a theme at this place. They also implied we were too drunk when we hadn't had many drinks and were casually playing pool, and there were people drunk to where they couldn't even stand on the patio, so something isn't right there. If you're not the typical crowd, you're not wanted here, so don't bother trying. read more

Just as much as a dive as the downtown location. Drinks are equally as cheap and they have a daily lunch selection such as chili hotdogs, etc. which was $2.50 for two chili dogs. There is a back patio where you can drink and smoke (and lock up your bikes if you drink too much). The inside had a big bar along with tables, pool tables, games, etc. The four stars is mostly for the staff. Missy is awesome and so is Rick. When situations arise there he was right on point. The crowd there is friendly too. Mostly old timers, but still an overall bunch of good people. Especially if you're a regular. read more

This bar was a bit sketch. You park on the side and enter thru the back door. Not a bar you go to for special drinks. We were here on a Saturday night and they were doing karaoke. The host was a little annoying, he kept doing Lil Jon impressions. Ya know, "yeeeah" huwhat... strange and unpleasant. I'm from out of town so the highlight for me was the people watching. If you want to be told not to ask for your drink a certain way. Don't go here because the staff will tell you. "Not to tell them how to do there job". Over all this bar wouldn't even come up on a place for me to go and now I won't ever again. If you do write a complaint it's is placated and brushed off a if nothing is really wrong or what they can do to make your visit next time better. Absolutely horrible... I've been there twice and I've had nothing but terrible experiences with the staff members. If I could give no stars I would. My first venture to this bar ended up with a women bartender following me into the street yelling at me trying to tell me I couldn't leave in my vehicle or else she was going to call the police after I had paid and tipped generously. I was perfectly capable of driving and I have no idea where she got the idea I wasn't. She was serving me the entire time I was there and if I'm not mistaken its there job to cut someone off if they've met that point not follow them into the street causing a seen trying to find out how there getting home I'm a grown adult and I'll respectably make that decision on my own. Second time at this bar I went in with a few Friends requesting lemon drops. After a few rounds of them we went to get another and the bartender told us he wasn't going to make them anymore. They were to messy and he was tired of making them.... okay so let me get this straight you have one job and it's to make me the specific drink I desire and your not going to do it because it's messy? That's absolute laziness at it's finest so I simply said okay then let me close out. I'm a very generous tipper but if you can't do the simple job your there to do for me why would you expect a tip? therefore I put 0.00 down on the tip and went to leave. Without knowing I made both bartenders so angry at that point that they asked for my I'd and 86'd me for not tipping on there terrible service. I don't understand what kind of bar can stay in business operating like that. We walked down the street and had endless lemon drops at gracies with no hassle. I have been going to this location for 8 years ... I guess you could say I am a regular. Not so sure anymore!! At least when HOLLYWOOD is working. I have never been treated so poorly and her customer service ... oh what customer service!!! She shouldn't even be behind that bar!! She sits there on her phone and talks to all the guys and I have NEVER heard these words come out of her mouth "What can I get you", "Do you need another drink?" I can't tell you how many times I've driven by this place in the last year without even seeing it. I heard rumors of a Cheers out south but I had no idea it was in Midvale. A group of us went on Saturday and it just happened to be their one year anniversary as well as karaoke. Is this place fancy? Nope. But it was fun and the people watching was so entertaining. How can you beat a 70+ year old woman singing her heart out? And that Asian dude who is dancing around by himself? Let's not forget the meathead looking dude covered in tattoos wearing tevas. Amazing. It was busy but not packed which is always nice. This location is much bigger than the downtown spot. There are pool tables and seating. There's even a little patio. Drinks are low to average in price but the reason I'll go back is the bartenders. Really nice guys. Rick introduced himself to me and asked if it was my first time. He welcomed me and said he hoped I would come back again soon. Just for that, I'll go back if I'm ever out that way. read more

I asked nicely why my friend couldn't order a drink at 12:40 am. They pointed to their clock and said that they couldn't serve me, and then when I asked for the manager they gave me the worst attitude and asked if I was serious. Last time I checked last call was at one. The attitude I got from the bar tender after I tipped them 25%, to talk to me like that was ridiculous. This place isn't any better than the downtown location. Which means it is very mediocre. I believe in and am a strong supporter of dives. And this is, most definitely a dive. But when I support a dive I feel they should support me back with dive prices. This is not an expensive location and that's not what I'm trying to say. What I am saying is it cost just the same as other higher caliber locations I've been to and that is depressing. It was dark and gloomy. It exists in a very depressing part of State Street, and it wasn't overly clean or fun by any means. I will say the servers and bartenders were kind and helpful and that is a plus no matter where you go. If I can just recommend dropping prices by 50 to 75 cents a drink I think that would be much more fair and accommodating to the types of patrons it seems that Cheers to You is trying to cater to. read more

Fun place to go for karaoke night. They cater to a younger crowd and long wait to sing. Sound system is not very good. The guys checking ID at the door like to think of themselves as a "Barney-bad-ass." Gets pretty crowded on Friday nights. read more

I definitely like this location a thousand times more than the downtown location! It's has that same divey feel that I love so much, but it's a bit bigger and less crowded so you can actually enjoy yourself. You don't have to wait in line for 20 minutes, shoulder to shoulder with the stinky guy that asked you for a dollar outside, just so you can get a drink. It's a nice change. read more

Where shortly after said in sorry laughing like it was funny oh your playing darts we thought you were cutting up cocaine. Are you kidding me? First it was clear it was racially profiling us, if it was a few white guys playing darts mind you there is no house darts available it would be ok and second after watching us play darts to even think thats what we were doing is so absurd it's down right rude. How about walking by and just looking not even stating your intentions. No you had to let us know you thought we were doing cocaine when clearly we're here for the dart board.
