I refuse to say that because I strive to pay less, I will get less. In my experience, I've been able to get good quality for a low price. Chili's is not the place to do that. First of all, I went on a Friday night. Terrible idea! The wait was an hour long! It was loud, and crowded. It was so loud; you needed to yell to hear the person behind you. The tables were so jammed you could barely get up to use the restroom. The food was terrible. Our waitress tried to help but she couldn't hear us which made answering questions about the menu impossible. Chili's gets a lot of customers because of an advertised 2 for $20 deal. When you arrive, you see that there are very few options which qualify for this deal. 2-for-1 drinks are also advertised. They are okay. The drinks are mostly hard liquor; you barely taste any of the fancy fruity stuff. You could get inebriated on two sips. I didn't like my plate and ended up ordering another one which I had to pay for. By the way, I didn't like my plate because it was undercooked. The waitress did not offer to exchange it for free. I ended up spending the same as I would at any other place, waiting an hour, and leaving unsatisfied. Safe yourself some time and money. Don't go. read more

I've had this feeling before... where I have such a bad time, I swear off all chain restaurants for the rest of my life... but this one takes the cake! I generally expect a little less on the service side when it comes to the chain restaurants, but last night I visited this Chili's with a group of friends and it turned into a whole night affair. We knew the place would be busy so we decided to use their call ahead service, just to get a little ahead of the line... unfortunately, this didn't help at all... when we arrived they told us that regardless of having called ahead we would have to wait 2 and a half hours!!!!!! Having decided to stick it out we hung out by the bar and began ordering drinks to pass the time... and booyyyy did the time pass... and kept passing... and passing.... until 3 hours later when they finally seated us.... we were a large group, yes, but not exaggeratedly large, we were 10 people just trying to get some French fries and two for one drinks. Finally, we sat down and we hoped that the waiter would take our wait time into consideration and step it up on the ordering and service. Not the case. We asked him to please let us order right away, he left... ten minutes later he's back to take drink orders, left again.... another five minutes later he's back to take our orders.... the food comes out,, everything came out right at least... but is it wrong to have wanted him to offer us some measly chips and salsa on the house?!?! Pretty much hate this location. I'm not a fan of this chain to begin with, but let me just explain what happened. I was there and ordered a drink with whipped cream on top. We sat near the bar area so I could see our waiter get my drink from the bartender. The bartender was a girl and the waiter was a little guy. She tried to look sexy or something and started to stick her finger in the whipped cream and licked it off her fingers, then repeated a few times. I watched as she dipped her fingers in my drink over and over. The little guy was sweating. He looked over and saw my evil eye. The girl refilled the whipped cream and he put it on his tray and brought it over as I was looking him dead in the eyes shaking my head no. No, as in you better NOT bring that contaminated drink to me. He sat it on my table and I told him to take it back. He seemed scared to death and stuttered if I wanted a new one and I just said "no, check please". We didn't complain, no point. That's what happens in these locations. I just have no interest in ever returning. I won't say what happened the time before that. That's another story. No need to mention the wait, bad service, or blah food as that's been done. I never thought i would have to write a review about this place but after the mediocre service i got, i just have to. I usually go to this one because its the closest one to my house. I went on a Sunday evening and there was a wait (like always). I dont mind waiting but when i got to my table the waitress didnt bother to bring us napkins, silverware or straws for our drinks. They got the order wrong for our appetizer and she only bothered to pay attention to the needs of the big part next to us so we had to ask another waitress for help.. I used to enjoy coming to Chili's. The food is actually pretty decent for a chain restaurant. Service and cleanliness are a problem. Stepped in and waited around for a hostess. We were sat down on a table that had puddles of water and the menus were just put on top of them. The tablet on the table was full smudges. Then the waiter took his time to come. This place was PACKED on a Sunday night. We were attended at a decent time frame but waited at the front for a hostess to show up (nobody was there for a hello). There were people streaming in and it seemed as if we will never get a table. The restaurant was filthy and waiters were running around. I'm a chilis regular, not this particular location. The reason why I gave this chilis a 2 is because the server was friendly yes but not very attentive to us we only saw him a good 4 time but he passed by more than that to go to his other tables and we were there for about 2 hours since i was spending time with close friends. The times we did see him he didn't take plates out of the way, the reason why I make it a big deal is because we had a 1 year old and we eventually ordered dessert but it wasn't until we pushed everything to the edge for him to get the hint. Also my friends husband went to the bath room and he couldn't even use the bathroom because how disgusting it was. The associate on the phone said they were only taking walk in and was a 15 minute wait, when we got to the restaurant (10 minutes later) we were told we could have gone on the online waitlist and that in those 10 minutes the place got TOO busy and now have to wait 1 hour. I have no idea what this Chilis puts in their food, but you cannot come here, at any time of day, on any day of the week, without an hour / 2 hour wait. It is always packed. I know as in any restaurant chain there is a hit and miss possibility, for some might be an exhilarating and positive experience, for others a complete chaos what intended to be a fine dinning night...Here my comments: 1-Waiting for a table: Never EVER! in those 20 years we have been seated right away, always had to wait, and sometimes be prepared to wait over half an hour specially on weekends, since this location is packed most if not all of the time!We only sat right away when going to the bar and before my daughter came over (she is 16 now), but with she on board is rather convenient to wait for a table; I do hate to wait but have no choice... 2-Food and beverage: Have no complains of any kind...Specially we love their Cadillac fajitas with steak, chicken and shrimp...Also this location has perpetual 2 for 1 on drinks, so you can spend a nice dinner with your family, guzzle few draft beers and eat a good food without hurting your pocket... 3-Service: Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell! Here we started going downhill...Most if not all the time you need to be patient and every now and then go on a little 'waiter SAR(search and rescue)' since chances are the waiter might go AWOL! Being a continuous patron at this particular restaurant I have noticed if you get seated in the middle section close to the bar area and also closer to the front you are OK, but if your table is at either side and towards the back of restaurant, the waiters take longer to get there! I realized it, but there is no way you can ask for a specific location when the place is so crowded...Regarding the waiters we didn't find any one rude or nasty, and maybe am wrong since have no restaurant experience myself, but by adding 2 more waiters at each side of the location might mitigate the slow service you perceive there most of the time. 4-Cleanliness: Despite the rush it is pretty clean, just one minor incident: Some years ago we visited on Friday at noon, celebrating my wife niece high school graduation, and suddenly a little roach showed out of nowhere in the wall, next to our table...Gross, eh? The manager came by, killed the insect and brought desserts for everyone, on the house...Besides that, nothing else worth mention... This restaurant has an excellent location, although sometimes be prepared to leave your car in the shopping center parking and walk several feet to get into the place; it is noisy there so if you are in a romantic mood with your half orange do not stop there...But if you are with your teenager daughter, 2 BFF's and wife, with everyone in a happy mood and do not mind neither noise or search for your waiter, go there!!! They said it would be ready in 5 minutes when I got there. Well five minutes quickly turned into 55 and I was so disappointed that I actually went ahead and asked them to refund my order. Ordered the 2 for $20 dishes. I had the cheesy French fries as an appetizer. Really small appetizer since you have to share. Hardly any fries and just covered with cheese. Had the tilapia. Nice and spicy with mango sauce on top. There rice was flavorless pretty much. Broccoli was really soft. Could have used some salt or something on top. Great waitress. Very attentive. This is the most convenient restaurant around my residence. Good food, timely manner, affordable prices. Expect a wait on the weekends due to there meal deals & happy hours.
