I've been to a lot of Chili's, but this one was great for a couple of reasons: 1) The food was done better here than elsewhere: I had the chipotle chicken tenders with corn and rice. They used just the right amount of sauce and seasoning, and it tasted excellent, even in comparison to other Chili's. 2) We had an excellent and scenic view of the lake. It was a climate controlled patio, so you get the outdoors view without the outdoors weather. The waitress was also very friendly and attentive, and when I asked her questions about the menu, her descriptions were very detailed and accurate, a good trait in my opinion. read more

We came and enjoyed a few drinks over looking the water. The strawberry margaritas were awesome. However, for chilies to get a 4-5 star you need to have a happy hour available elsewhere throughout the restaurant not just at the bar sitting next to stinky Stan chain smoking death sticks. Well, I mistakenly took my family there pre-Christmas light viewing. O.K. it took a little while to get seated, no big deal, the server was pretty good, nothing special. Food seemed o.k., but wait, 3 hours later I got sick. Nasty sick. Like end-of-the-world sick. Sick until I got all that Chili's out of my system and then a little after sick. Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Seriously, did they not wash the lettuce? Or did they leave the meat out too long? Last time I got this sick was in 2001 when I got sick from a fundraiser that left the potato salad out of the fridge too long. Ugh, can I please get the last two days of my life back? They were out of a lot of food (steak fajita meat, chips, coke, corn on the cob and chicken pasta). Then the food we did get to order was either cold or overcooked. The restaurant was dirty (the tables, floors, and windows). That was the most disappointing Chilli's I have ever been too. read more

My wife and I used to go to this Chilli's two or three times a month. And liked the food and service a lot. Then they put computers on the table and changed the atmosphere of the experience. It's impossible to get drinks refilled and of course because there is no server involved with our table or order and NO incentive to do it, no one ever comes back to check on how our meal was. Also because Chilli's expects us to pay by card it is an effort to pay with cash. Why tip? NO service. The computer also has a camera on it which the management has claimed isn't activated but corporate says allows them to view diner reactions to provide input for improving our experience. We gave it several attempts before giving up on it several years ago. Besides I can get a much better rib-eye at Russos even if I can't get a Blue Moon on draft there. I give NO STARS. read more

Dirty place inside and out. Rubber floor mat was sitting on the waiting room sofa. Air was clammy and smelled. Food was poor. The SW eggrolls I usually get at other Chili's was not hot and they cut them lengthwise, a first. Margarita was bad with no tequila detected and a poor taste overall. Service was not attentive. Be sure to call ahead. Had a party of 6 and was told we would have a 20 min wait. Once 30 min pass the host comes to us they just had someone call in and that they need to be seated before us and our wait would be extended for another 45 min even though we were waiting 30 minutes before they called. Chili's is Chili's but I recently chose this location for the view and because it was happy hour time! Unfortunately, after we ate our meal, we were informed that happy hour was only for the bar area (our table was 5 feet from the bar outside). This makes no sense to me. If you want to visit for happy hour specials, make sure you sit AT the bar. Lame! read more

Came down from Washington State and really amazed at the amount of complaints I heard from the staff. Some background, lived here went to school here and family still covers here once a month... I brought my boyfriend from out of state 2000 miles TO EAT HERE! 45 min wait and that was to be expected as I wanted to show him the beauty that is the Hill Country. Shane was our server and by the time we actually got food we learned that he was the only server on the patio, the hostess over booked him, he purposely refused to bus his own tables so he didn't have to serve, and he didn't care about your order. This was to the point he forgot to put in our app and when Shane brought my food and we bought it up that the app was missing and he asked us if we really wanted it and then he brought it out and told us he paid for it so we better like it. When were able to be seated, we were only 1 of 5 tables he was serving and we come to discover his family was one of the tables. He not only complained about being the only one on patio and being shafted by the hostess and his coworkers to us but also to 3 other tables as he was bringing them their checks or kissing his SO. I was embarrassed for Chilis, for my choice in restaurants, for the Hill Country, and for the hostess who was busy trying to put out fires that weren't in her control. read more

We chose to go to Chili's because we had a starving 2 year old and it was literally attached to the hotel where we were staying. When we arrived, we had to wait a few minutes for a table but it was nothing major. When we ordered our food, tables were already being cleared around us and new customers were being seated. When those customers received their food before we even got our appetizer (they ordered fajitas; we ordered cheese fries...not that hard), we knew something was amiss. We hadn't seen our waitress since she took our order but we did manage to flag down a manager and explain our situation. She looked into the matter for us and found that something had spilled on our first batch of fries and new ones had to be made. The manager was nice enough to comp our drinks (since that's all we ever got) and we went across the street, ate chinese food and spent half as much. Really, this poor review is all about the service; first off because we never got to try any food and secondly because customer service is ALL the waitress has to do and she failed. Very bad experience at this chili's, if it was in any other town it would fail but due to the amount of out of town and one time visitors assuming being a national chain it would have standards well guess what this location is clueless yet the doors remain open. No soap or even soap dispensers in the men's room, the women's restroom was way overdue to be serviced. The server for our table seemed to care but at the same time either has not been properly trained or just has no skill managing multiple tables, others were seated long after we were and got their orders taken faster, and almost finished theirs before we got our food, then forever to get our bill to leave. All of this was really frustrating when we chose to eat here rather than the hour wait to eat next door, when all said and done we would have been out faster if we did the hour wait for the River Grille and the food would have been much better. read more

The bartender today was responsible for the attending the indoor bar, the outdoor bat, indoor bar seating area & outdoor bar & full seating area. The place was pretty busy. The cute little manager name Marie kept hanging out at the bar, flirting with the gentleman customer next to me. Twice the bartender asked her to help her deliver food & drinks. Both times the manager very passively aggressively ignored her and shut her down. Fast forward 30minutes, Ms Manager Marie is now making plans for a date with Mr Customer sitting next to me. WOW. The bartender once again asks the manager for HELP. The manager actually walked away, the opposite direction of the plea for HELP. HOWEVER- she has a date for tonight, despite the customer satisfaction or the retention of her employees. Marie is NOT a manager of Chilis. She's using it as her "Match.Com", and leaving her employees and customers to fend for themselves. Shame on Marie. Kudos to the waitstaff for forging forward without a leader read more

We have gone to this chili's many times with good and service. Tonight we ordered steak and that was a mistake. My classic sirloin had no flavor, and my husbands ribeye was WAY over cooked. Ordered medium rare and got well done. The manager came over and offered to bring another but by then my food would have been cold or gone and initially the steak was ok, but as we ate it got more dry. Usually when something is not right, they adjust your bill a little for the inconvenience, but not this time. Full price for two of the more expensive meals in the menu. Could have at least comped the drinks. read more

Service was not that great. Server barely payed attention to us. When we needed something like extra ranch for our appetizer, it wasn't until we were almost done with it till we received the ranch. Worst experience ever at a restaurant. Our visit was meet will a staff not prepared for our group of 26 people. Group room reserved with one server. Food order took an hour and 15 minutes to prepare and be serve. The orders were all messed up. Manager offered to "fix" the orders but it would take 30 more minutes. "Can you eat what you got", he asked? Drinks only got refilled if we went out to the dining hall and looked for our server. Meanwhile there were 4 employees standing at the front, including the manager. The manager did however offer us free dessert. Well, that's nice - NOT. They brought out two molten cake desserts with a glass full of spoons. Seriously, we are to all share that? Ridiculous!!! The bathrooms were disgusting, I've seen gas stations with better attention to cleanliness. Unfortunately one bad chain restaurant experience makes a person not want to go to any other Chili's. Manager needs to go back to "manager school". I sure hope someone from the Chili's Corporate Headquarters reads these reviews (and does something about it) because this restaurant just gave CHILIS A REALLY BAD NAME! read more

Usually love Chili's, but will never come to the Marble Falls location again. I came for a bday party and had a 30 minute wait for a table and another 60 minute wait for the food. It was reheated and stale. Very unfortunate experience. We waited ten minutes before we were greeted at the door. Several servers walked by, but no one acknowledged us until ten minutes later. Our queso was cold, the chips were covered in so much salt that they were shiny, and my husband's chicken sandwich was cold. Unfortunately it was close to the hotel and it was late. The last few times we went to Chili's the service has been HORRIBLE. THIS TIME WAS NO DIFFERENT. We walked in and no one was there to greet us, so after waiting a while I went around the corner and saw some staff in the kitchen. I told them I was going to grab menus and seat ourselves. The lady explained she was new and I understood. She sat us down and again we waited another 10 or more minutes. We heard the staff in the kitchen all arguing and goofing around. Finally the waitress came up and took our drinks and what we wanted to eat. Waited again for a long while and then she stepped out with everything, but my salad and my friend's sandwich. We ate and waited and waited for a refill and finally when she came back with my friend's sandwich (never got the salad) she never brought refills for our drinks. My friend didn't care for the sandwich and finally after waiting and waiting some more, she came out with my refill. I told her to put it in a to go cup. She got annoyed and went back into the kitchen. She came back with the to go drinks and set them down and left. During this whole time, she managed to leave the bill when she brought the sandwich. She didn't forget that! We waited and waited to pay and finally I had enough and went to the front. The lady at the front was playing with a phone and I asked her for the manager. When he showed I up told him how ridiculous the service is and this has been like this for the last several times we have come. He apologized and I said in this industry y'all need to work as a team and it would run much smoother. Too many young girls up there that like to gossip and goof around. I handed him my visa and said I have been waiting to pay this for a while and never received my salad. He took the bill and said lunch was on him. To start off, I am not a big Chilis fan to begin with. We picked here to eat because of the view and the mixed reviews of the River City Grille. The view was fantastic so if you eat here get on the patio. However the night we went, one poor waitress was having to work about ten tables on her own. She did a decent job but the overload caused service to be a little slow and forget refills. Before we left, another waitress showed up to help but still kind of a big area for two people. Food-We got chips and corn guacamole. It was decent but why corn in guaco? My burger was decent and my wife's salad was good but she commented she wished she could had ranch dressing instead of the stuff it came with. If you have been to a Chilis anywhere else then you should know what to expect. The view alone would make coming back here worth it, but despite its mixed reviews I thing I will give River City Grille a chance instead of coming back here. read more
