Good food! Good margaritas! My dad always gets this 1/2 of a pineapple, I think full of fajita meat. Look's amazing. I've loved everything I've gotten there. Queso is rich and buttery with just a little bite. Mexican Coke, and even the Flan is yummy. Unlike every chain in the country, staff aren't a bunch of kids who could care less, here it's mostly their family, some don't speak English, making it more authentic IMO. They totally remodeled inside and out, and keep making more and more upgrades and decorative touches, it just gets nicer and nicer! We visit here often; the food is consistently very good. It's our favorite spot in Burnet. We've learned a few things. When it's very busy, make sure you get everything when the waitress drops off the food, because you might not see her again. You might have to go to the bar to get your drink refilled. The cashier will have your bill. It's no big deal for us, just FYI. read more

My child had to bring in an outside meal due to dietary restrictions. Not a big deal. She wanted to eat out with us. It took 30 minutes to get drinks and order. My child got her meal out to eat and we were asked to have HER leave "unless she was autistic". While I understand the rule, dietary restrictions wasn't acceptable to them. The food is decent, but it is never hot. The last three times I was here. I kept saying I'm just going give it another try because my mom really likes to come here, but neither one of us will ever be back because every single woman that works in there is RUDE. So I'm only going to write about our last experience there. We came at lunchtime and we were pretty much the only female customers in the building that were having lunch. The rest of the customers were pretty much men... With that being said we had to go up and ask for chips and our drinks after waiting 13 minutes AFTER being seated. They just kept walking past us and bringing the men who were there drink after drink after drink and they refilled their chip baskets at least 3 to 4 times.. I'm not sure what their problem is with us! We are always so nice and we tip really good. Maybe they just don't like other women. Idk. But I will never be back because they literally give you dirty looks, roll their eyes at you and slam your food down on the table. One waitress slammed my son's plate on the table so hard that his taco LITERALLY flew off the plate.. then she just walked away. Rude, not professional and just all around terrible. If I could say one thing, I guess it's that at least their customer service is consistent! Because no matter what.. they're always rude. In our little town there are not a lot of restaurants. But there are several Mexican restaurants. After trying all of them, we decided that our favorite is El Charro due to the great service that we receive from Andrea. She always makes sure that we are taken care of even when she is not the one covering our table. The food is good, you will enjoy it but the real reason that you will return to El Charro is for the great service that Andrea and her team provide. read more

still my favorite Mexican place in town or really between burnet and marble falls. only time it's too loud in there is where it's a full house in clouding their small bar and EVERYONE is having conversations. I adore all the upgrades they have done to this building from the new facade out front to the murals. the food is still very affordable which is seriously appreciated since all the rest of the small business places like this are pretty much ripping people off with their prices. service is fast but not suspecious fast. servers and helpers are great. it wouldn't help them to have a designated mixologist so when someone asks for a drink from the bar that's not what the servers are used to getting it can be perfect. I had asked for a "stirred martini no olive with a twist" a pretty simple martini, pretty simple mixed drink considering. the server did great asked a male there who appeared to be the manager who might not have understood the order or just got her confused because he left her to make it and while it was a fantastic martini I still ended up wasting those olives I was trying not to waste. my only real complaint and it's probably hopefully their next project: their large back parking under the trees...fill those HUGE holes, pave it, put a sign up saying no empty trailers cuz that's what keeps destroying that back parking where there is paving (keep the trees please we need those). food here is great all day! read more

Sorry but this restaurant has lost the business of the party of 10 that came in for lunch today. First ask for a 10 top and they they we can take a 6 top and a booth, so we move the 6 top over to the booth and they say we can't move the table. Waitress takes our drink order and we have no chips and salsa. We have been here many times in the past and they always bring out the chips when you set down, manager tells us you don't get chips till you order your food. WTH! Well we finally get some chips and one bowl of salsa. Food arrives and we need some drink refills and they forget to bring them back. We had to leave before other guests at our table because it took too long for the food to arrive. The last guest to pay told the manager what he had and the manager tells he can't leave till he pays for 2 extra tortillas that someone else ordered. Epic fail by the so called manager. Well if u order bean potato and bacon and get egg on your taco, don't be surprised if they come back and say no u didn't!! Not the first time they have gotten that breakfast taco order wrong!! Customer service yet again. When my husband orders shrimp tacos over the phone and you repeat it back to him and we go and pick it up and it's Asada street tacos. We love Yelp as it helps fine tune where we eat. Once again, Yelp led us to a great place. The food here was fabulous!! The pace was slow and at first it felt like we were forgotten but then I recalled eating in Europe where they make special dishes as you order, no exception here. The street tacos were with the 30 mile drive. The fajita Gravy bowl as we now call it .... true Delight. Service was polite, presentation excellent and flavors similar yet not identical to most of the Texas tex mex we eat. It's unique flavor will bring us back, reminds us of eating in Mexico. read more

This place kicks ass! I'm gonna be real, when I first rolled up to this beat up shack, in the middle of nowhere, I was just thinking how I was going to have to call an exorcist to get it out of me afterward. Boy was I wrong. The hospitality was incredible and they treated me and the boys like we were part of the family. Ivan was a real dude about everything and went out of the way to get us food, even off the menu. When the food showed up to the table, I had to take a moment to watch everyone's eyes light up. Our food was so good, it almost made us angry because we weren't sure we'd ever have it again. I didn't want to believe it. Fast forward 24 hours. Me and my boy were feeling something in the pits of our stomachs. Was it hunger? No, it was something more. It was like there was a missing piece that could only be filled with some more of this delicious tasty food. Day two, We drove out of the way to get here and were, once again, greeted like we were regulars. But this time, we had a lovely lil lady named Pearl. Pearl was so legit. She knew what we wanted more than we did. I'm writing this, now, post tummy top-off, in nirvana (Not like the band). I'm fulfilled and satisfied, once again. I went to this place today for lunch with 10 of my Pickleball Friends. This place refused to let 10 guests sit together. They were unwilling to let us push 2 tables together so we could all sit together and talk. After we ordered our drinks we asked for chips and hot sauce. A guy came over and told us that they didn't put out chips and hot sauce until your order was taken. I have been to this place many times and this is the first time I heard that one. It is now my opinion that this place is managed by some idiots. You go to a place with your friends and for some service accommodation and you get treated like that! Neeedless to say I won't be returning to this place. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars in this place before. But I guess that doesn't matter to the owner as long as you keep those tables in place. Sorry waitresses...you were the ones who suffered today with a Zero service tip...I feel bad about that but it was a terrible experience! The food has always been good. The Migas with white cheese was my favorite breakfast meal. One day I tried using the restroom but it was occupied. Several minutes later, one of the kitchen staff came out. I went into the restroom, obviously the previous user had 'did number 2'. The sink was dry as a bone. Had not been used in a long time.
