The chips were well salted and perfectly cooked. They were also thinly sliced & perfectly crispy. I highly recommend ordering beer cheese to dip them in - it was so delicious! The service was great. Everyone was so nice & our waiter made sure we had everything we needed. Parking was easy because there's a parking lot in the back. They had a really big menu so I'm excited to go back and try more. The cocktail list also looked good!

I don't know if the ownership has changed or if they just made some decisions to alter things, but either way it changes our opinion of the place. First and most important for us, they used to be the only place we were aware of in NC to get Gluten Free Crab Cakes which was a major reason we frequented Sammy G's. That has apparently changed and the new Gluten Free menu is basically just the meats menu which is a real shame. It looks like they have made some other small changes to the regular menu as well, none of those were all that concerning but the loss of this GF treat is a real blow for us. If you are a celiac and found reviews about the GF crab cakes, please be aware they appear to be gone now. Additionally, the prices across the menu seem to have gone up by a few dollars. When you consider that Sammy G's was never a cheap place to eat, and given the state of the economy these days, that actually does come out to a noticeable change and makes it harder to justify going. However, with the loss of the old GF options, it's unlikely we'll come back anywhere near as often as we used to.

It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.

There were few patrons when I stopped by for lunch on a Saturday, and I couldn't have asked for faster or friendlier service. I went with a chopped sandwich with coleslaw, no side, and it was prepped very quickly. You can find Lexington-style dip on the table, but other sauces are available upon request. The sandwich was a decent size, and the meat was prepared well (chopped medium and neither mushy nor dried out) if rather bland. Adding spicy barbecue sauce (a heresy for Lexington-style fans, I know) remedied that. For $6.50, I had no complaints. Affordable, unpretentious, and fast, Little Roadside Grill won't win any barbecue championships, but it's a solidly satisfying local option.

We eat at Chili's quite often. Tonight was the absolute worst service we have ever had! We went tonight for our daughters birthday. We order a couple things that came out wrong. No apologies just oh ok I know by the waiter. Ordered one thing got another he wanted to argue with my mother in law about what she ordered!! Leaving our drinks empty multiple times again no apologies just an I got it I know! 7 people we spent 2 hours of our night there!! It took him 20 mins to get me a TOGO molten chocolate cake, it's cold just pack it up! Didn't even have all the topping to go with it. Asked me if I wanted something else Ummm no I'm good I'm ready to get home!! Again it's our daughters birthday he said he would get people to sing. He didn't said there wasn't enough people I seen enough to sign to a 6 year old for her birthday to feel special!! Never again will I waste my time at this chili's in high point. Last night my husband and i went to Chili's to meet my brother and his wife, just because we love it there. The service was great. The waitress was nice and friendly and didnt mind putting up with my husbands off the wall personality. The 9.99 special that i got with the babyback ribs was really good. I would recommend Chili's on Mall Loop in High Point, North Carolina to anyone and pretty much know that they would be beyond satisfied. read more
