First time back after over a 2 years. We were promptly seated and our drink orders were placed. Our server was polite and attentive. The drinks were served in under 5 min. Both Margs. We're potent and delish. Our server then took our orders. I had their Ribeye with 12 shrimp with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli. My wife had their Old Time cheeseburger with French fries with a side of guacamole . My steak was juicy tender with loads of flavor the mashed potato's were delicious and you could tell by the tiny lumps they were not instant. The broccoli was tender and cooked just perfectly. I don't normally rate "chain" restaurants but this "experience" was bad. We were sat in the bar area which was fine but I think we had the bartender as a server and that never works out well for me when I'm not sitting at the bar itself. The hostess sat us at a dirty table so it was a bad start from the beginning. I ordered a pick 3 appetizer as my meal and the southwest egg rolls (always my favorite and reason for choosing Chilli's usually) were ok and the bone-in wings were tasty but the burger sliders were forgettable. No, wait, they were disgusting and dry. Don't ever get them! My son has a chicken finger basket and he really enjoyed it. We didn't get refills on our drink the whole meal, which always frustrates me. She didn't even come back to check on us until I was finishing up paying via the kiosk which I was very thankful for. I will have to remind myself the next time I even think about stopping here for their southwest egg rolls. #never read more

Happy 4th July "Kimberly" bar tender at Elkhart chilis. Well, it was suppose to be until my wife and i stopped for a quick bite to eat before fireworks. Wait, did I say quick bite to eat . It took 25 minutes just for water. I saw so many people walking in then 20 min later leaving . Which would have been us but we were desperate for food. Kimberly let me give you some simple advice . If your really that busy - as I kept hearing you say to multiple customers for the past 2 hours that I've been hear. If your really that busy you wouldn't have time to talk about it. Second time I've come to this location. First time I had my accent mocked and had a terrible experience. Decided to try it again after a couple years and the food is absolutely terrible. Had a steak medium rare and the temp was completely wrong, meat was stringy and tough af. Mash potatoes were cold and tasted like they had been sat in the bacon grease for way too long. The first problem, asked for a clean fork since the fork in the wrapper was very dirty. They brought back a plastic spoon and fork. Then we kept hearing the phone ringing and ringing very annoying since they would not answer and the person kept calling back. It rang for a very very long time. Then they finally decided to finally answer it and complained about it. Also, had signed up for Chilli rewards for free chips and salsa nothing was available on the account. So no chips and salsa this time. Sorry. :( The bbq wings looked like chicken nuggets with a little sauce. Once the phone stopped ringing the gnat showed up. At first, it was a little odd pulling into this Chili's thinking, there isn't many people here, however shortly after, we found out why. I'll start out by mentioning we never received the "free chips and salsa, or non-alcoholic beverage" as the silverwear holding sleeve stated. Was I suppose to say something about it? I didn't catch her name, but the blonde with think framed glassed and tattoos must have been working all day and not had a chance to eat, because I swear I saw her take a fry off my plate as she walked out of the kitchen, and she was definitely eating when she sat down the order of fries we got. Give that girl a break and get her some food. Also, thought it was a little weird having to ask for a refill on our water when it was sitting at the edge of the table, empty. Of course we need another. I was ready to get a box and leave when she finally brought out the dessert for the 2 for $25. My Miller Lite sat at the bar ready for roughly 5 minutes, and I sat with an empty glass for about 10 total. Some people aren't cut out to be servers, and that's just the way it is. I usually visit Chili's a couple times a month for their outstanding rib eye steak. That is the only reason I would go here. The service is so bad it is nonexistent! I always use the car side to go. Today I waited 15 in my car and was 10 minutes late! No service. So I decide to go inside. I stand there another 15 minutes while the staff totally ignored myself and another customer. I might add that I can see my car side order sitting on an unheated rack cooling off. Finally, what I assume to be a manager says there is no food ready. I pointed to my cold food on the rack and she says "that's a car side to go order." I told her yes, mine! She comes and says ok and hands it to me. Doesn't apologize for making me wait, doesn't apologize for my food being cold due to them not bringing it out to me HALF AN HOUR BEFORE! Looks like I'll be going to Applebees's from here on out. We decided to have a late evening meal at the local Chili's restaurant. I had no illusions about what the casual chain restaurant had to offer. I've eaten at many of these restaurants across the country. Simple, common, and value price cuisine with a hint of southwest flare. However, nothing could have prepared me for this unfortunate experience. The brief encounter was anything but what their slogan represents, "Welcome to Chili's!" The host escorted us to a table that was dubious at best. The floor beneath the table was unclean. Food scraps, used napkins, and unknown trash littered the dining space. We looked through the menus (filthy, food stains, fingerprints, and a film of grime covered the list of dishes served) to select several entrees. An order of chips and salsa along with drinks was placed. What arrived was a tray of greasy partially fried tortilla pieces that were not fit for human consumption. I had seen enough, the unkept dining area, lack of regard for simple sanitary conditions, and no pride whatsoever concerning what comes out of the kitchen was enough for me to walk away. I don't often resort to that measure, but the experience was so off putting, I knew it was not going to get any better. This is a restaurant with severe organizational issues. I highly recommend you reconsider if you're planning to visit this establishment. I beg of the proprietors to please evaluate, correct, and redevelop what you are offering here. Chilis in Goshen redeemed itself today! Chicken quesadila (yep I am sure spelled wrong) and chips w/ salsa! Fantastic! Great amount of chicken and salsa was had just a little heat (wonderful!). Only thing I would say is do not water down the ranch dressing so much to dip them in. It was like flavored water, however that is the only reason for a 4 not a 5. Great job! read more

I am so very tired of showing up to businesses that have half their tables empty and half of the seats at the bar empty and they're not seating anyone. I asked if I could sit at one of the empty seats at the bar and I was told by the hostess that there was a 25 minute wait to sit in the bar. so when you work there you have to submit your availability, but apparently it doesn't matter they schedule you to work whenever they feel like it and if you can't work then you are responsible for finding your own coverage. so please tell me what is the point of submitting your availability in the first place? My 16 yr old daughter was let go because she submitted her availability was scheduled for days she was unavailable and fired for not doing her managers job and scheduling other people to work those days. She also was not told she no longer had a job until a half hr I to her shift after her ride had already left and made it back home which is extremely unprofessional!!! The overall experience was awful. We were seated out of order, the building wasn't busy at all, but the hostess had to go clean a table before each party got seated. We ordered our food and didn't hear anything from anyone for 40min after that. At which point my 4 year olds food, my infants extra fry, and part of my food came out. My husband was then informed that the kitchen was backed up with making his food and it would be a bit longer still. I had to wait for her to return to get the remaining of my food which included my tortillas for my fajitas which were cool before I got the tortillas. Then my husband's food finally comes out. We were done and I had my card out waiting to pay. And waiting. Then she brings us boxes, still no check. Then she finally brings the check 10min later, I'm already having my husband take kids to the car bc other people don't need to hear them fussing bc they've been sitting in a "quiet" place for 90+min. I had to go back to get one of our entrees, no big deal, but when I got home the food was thrown together, the chicken looked boiled, there was food residue all over the containers, it was just a mess. Went in last night with 3 others, got seated quickly and waited on just a quick. New waitress but she was very attentive and patient with us. When food arrived 2 of the party liked their food two didn't. Mine was cold, sent it back rectified no issues. Last one in the party ordered a tex Mexican burger with fries fries were cold and burger was burntto the point couldn't be eaten except in center. Waitress took it away and she was apologetic. When the burger came back it was very rare to the point the meat in the center was cold. She went and got her manager who explained she had someone new and the one who normally was there wasn't last night. He was newer and not a very good grill top cook yet. She offered to remove the burger that was inedible off our receipt. Wow in my opinion since they took it back twice and didn't return with anything that was the normal thing to do. We were going to go to Steak and Shake today, and we should have. This was my boyfriend's and my first time at this chili's. And might I add, we are fans of this chain. We sat down rather quickly, since it was a Thursday. We waited about 5 minutes before someone came to our table. The waitress only asked if someone had gotten our drink order. We said they hadn't, so she did. The waitress never introduced herself, or asked us how we were. We decided to do the 2 for $20 deal. As we waited for our half order of cheese fries, our drinks were left empty. Once we received our appetizer, we were disappointed. This dish is normally flavorful and...not so dry. This appetizer has fries on a skillet, topped with ranch dressing, melted shredded cheese, bacon bits, and jalapenos. In our case, it had all of that, except the ranch dressing. It wasn't very hot and didn't have flavor. The fries tasted like they had been sitting in the back for hours. Our waitress, whose name is Danica, came and cleared our plates, and about 20 minutes later our entrees came, then we were finally asked if we wanted refills. We ordered the bacon burger and margarita chicken. Both entrees were delicious. Juicy and we;; prepared. The waitress however left a sour taste in our mouths. As I finished my plate, my boyfriend is still finishing his, Danica brings us the bill and walks away. She didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert. We wait for 10 minutes for her to come back and she asks if we wanted a refill. Well why would we want a refill if you gave us our bill to shove us out? She had as much personality as a lint trap, never asked how things were, came by only to drop things off. When I asked for the receipt, she gave me the short copy, which means I can't take the chili's online survey. It was my step-daughter's birthday and we wanted to take her family out for a celebratory dinner. Her family includes her husband and her two young sons ages 12 and 9. We were seated very shortly after 6 pm. We were greeted by a very nice waitress who took our beverage orders promptly. I do not remember her name, but she was the bright spot in this otherwise dismal dining experience. The boys, with the help of their mother, ordered the '2 for $20 deal....chicken fajitas and barbecue ribs with the cheese fries as their appetizer. After ordering, they waited a good 15 minutes for their appetizer to appear. The clock was ticking closer and closer to their bedtime on this school night. After another 25 minutes our entrees appeared. Cold French fries with the ribs and grizzley sirloin steak...gross. The whole meal took TWO HOURS! A meal at Chilis is not one that should take that long. The restaurant seems dirty...sticky tables, slippery floors, broken down bathroom. It's a shame that our town has so few choices for dining that this is where we ended up. It will be a long time til I go there again. read more
