Came for dinner on a Friday night utilizing the online waitlist. It had said there were 3 on the waitlist in front of us when we arrived but we were brought right to our table. Parking lot is not huge compared to the amount of seating inside so parking could be a little tricky. Atmosphere overall was nice. There were a couple noisy groups around us- but not a knock to the restaurant. Service was good. Bangin' Brussels were a great appetizer. There was a good balance of heat that was balanced with the gorgonzola. Pesto Cream Tortelloni was very good. Pasta was well cooked and cream sauce was rich and delicious. However , there was not very much chicken. Gorgonzola chicken was very good as well. Chicken was excellently cooked and very tender. Melted in your mouth. Entire dish was flavorful and well seasoned. I've taken my shower and I'm refreshed after 6 days on the road and I need an Oasis! I head to the bar for a refresher and a meal. Jennifer was telling me about the house special but broke my heart when she said it was sold out! Now I had to choose again and I chose the pork roast with mushroom sauce. This ain't no dried out pork chop with the bone removed! Wow! Tender, succulent, extremely tasty and it paired well with the smashed baby bakers. After I finished (I even managed to sop up that EXCELLENT mushroom sauce-this is NOT from a can) I managed to meet the staff behind the kitchen door as they came into the bar. They are great and seem to be dedicated to their craft. I had to leave before Jennifer gave me the mop or the broom to work with. The Oasis is a great place to eat and have an adult beverage while watching the overhead tvs--no tvs in dining room. Try the special but if it is sold out you can't go wrong with the menu. Oasis knocked it out of the park again! Burger perfectly smashed. Hubby had a pork tenderloin and tots which were great . The bun was perfectly undersized for the tenderloin! But the brown butter cheesecake tonight takes the prize! And that crust!! Reminds me of the cheesecakes at Miles Lab! read more

The disappointing part was at the food was not as good (my wife had salmon that was overcooked and had little flavor) and somewhat pricey. My third visit to the O. First, the restaurant inside and out is very cool. Fun and inviting spaces to sit both inside bar area and outside. I've ordered their zucchini noodle bowls several times and it was delicious! Husband had had the smash burger and chicken club, both were great. Last visit had the chicken Caesar salad, not impressed. They lose a star because of slow service and pricey cocktails. I rather not pay $12+ for a single cocktail when my entree is that or less. Ate early dinner there last week while visiting family. Food was outstanding. My lady had short rib dish with cheese gnocchi. She intended to take half of it and take the rest home but couldn't stop. I ordered battered fried code with two sides, coleslaw and a corn dish. The cod breeding was super crispy and very flavorful. We seldom order dessert but had the delicious flourless chocolate lava cake. Our cosmopolitan drinks were pricey but well worth it, one of the best I have ever had. Our waitress was prompt, attentive, and knowledgeable. Loved the atmosphere, comfortable booth, background music not too loud, and attractive decor. Hope someday to return. A Goshen gem. read more

I'm so glad we can across this place! Since gaining a few pounds due to quarantine, I have been trying to eat a little healthier. My husband and I were on a camping trip this weekend and trying to find a place to eat after a long day of shopping I'm Shipshewana. A lot of places were operating on Covid hours and were either closing at 2pm or not opening till 4pm. So- we came across The Oasis. We sat at the bar and got a drinks fast. Once we got the menus, I was pleasantly surprised to see how many healthy options they had! I ordered the "make your own bowl". I got doodles, roasted corn, tomatoes, artichoke hearts with chicken. It was amazing! My husband ordered the O Burger... all I can remember about it is that it had some kind of strawberry jam on it! (Deliciousness!). The food was very good, I ordered the smash burger and it was delicious. The only bad thing I have to say is we had ordered an appetizer and never got it but it wasn't on the check either so not a big deal. We stopped in here a little after 12:00 on a Friday afternoon. We were promptly greeted and seated in the area that is also the bar (there were tables and booths in there) and we're givenenus and told our servers name and that she's be along. We explained it was our first time there so she gave us sufficient time to look at the menu and answer any questions we had. I ended up ordering the lobster roll with sweet potatoes waffle fries ($2 extra) (comes with a maple aioli that would be even more awesome if it had some horseradish in it, just to temper all the sweetness). My husband doesn't like sweet potato fries but he really liked these. He got the Barnyard burger, comes with cheese, bacon and a fried egg. He had never had a burger with a egg on it before and they allow you to say how you want the egg done, as well as the meat. He really loved it and says he would definitely order a burger with an egg on it again. Came with a very generous portion of tator tots. The burger was cheaper than most other places not nearly as nice as this and he could tell it was a better quality of meat (like steak meat.)My lobster roll bun was grilled on the outside made a slight crunch that was very satisfying when I bit into it. It was very good but I wish it had bigger chunks of lobster in it, it was mostly shredded or finely chopped meat. Wish they would mix it with some bigger chunks to get the full lobster flavor. We really wanted to like this place. The renovation is beautiful, the waitstaff friendly although slow, but the food was so (SO) bland. Salt would have done wonders for our meal. I ordered the goat cheese stuffed chicken with lemon beurre blanc over rice/quinoa. There was so much sour from the lemon but very little creamy butteryness and the goat cheese wasn't the quality I was expecting. Aside from sour, my meal lacked any real flavor. My husband was less than thrilled with his meal as well as our son. We were sat in the back by the garage patio door, and I was FREEZING! I had to put my coat over my legs just to keep from shivering the whole time we were there. On Friday we patronized The Oasis for the second time since their reopening. We went as a dinner party of four and had a super enjoyable time. For apps we had the portobello fingerlings and ahi cups. For the entree I went with the amazing 16 oz tomahawk pork chop. Grilled to perfection. Pros: - Fast service on the appetizers - The appetizers and entrees were on point! - Great atmosphere - Super friendly Challenges: - Parking can be a long walk on a busy night such as a Friday - Entrees tend to be slower in service while the kitchen and staff hone in on the new menu. First off, the menu here is a bit pricier than most places in Goshen. However, unlike many of those other places, you get what you pay for here. My wife and I enjoyed an excellent meal (we both went with the Steak Salad which was delicious and enormous) and some fantastic drinks. If you like whiskey, I recommend the smoked old fashioned. Great modern/industrial atmosphere. Terrific service. Decent food. The shrimp cocktail would have been better without the Italian seasoning or whatever they had on it but I'm sure some may like it. The place looks great. The food however was anything but. I ordered the steak salad & an order of the candied bacon to go. We received our to go order before we received the food we ordered to eat at the restaurant. I've NEVER had that experience before. We received our salads & I didn't care for the dressing so I asked for another kind, tried two different kinds both were not good. I do not eat mayo and their didn't seem to be an option for me that I'd care for. The steak on the salad was also not good. It tasted old and had an odd flavor. I honestly only ate two bites of my salad. The waiter never asked anything about me not eating. So I paid for my salad and left as hungry as I was when I went in.
