Yesterday was my birthday i decided we order chili's after spending over $100 i was very disappointed on the food we received the ribs so really dry i couldn't even enjoy eating it. Also not pictured because my wife just threw the rest away the wings we got were soggy,the beef nachos were over cooked and over seasoned. The loaded mashed potatoes were the only thing that was ok. I honestly have no idea why people hate on Chilis so much. My boyfriend and I LOVE it here! The staff is so nice--the waiter tried to get to know us and what we liked so that we could have a good meal. The chips and salsa kept coming out and I almost ate too much to have dinner! Haha oops. My boyfriend and I both went differently than we usually order (the burgers) and he ended up having the chicken, beef, shrimp fajitas and then I had the smokehouse brisket and bacon, cheesy chicken. Very different and so delicious I was really happy in our choice. Also we always start with the queso bean dip. I do wish the chips were a little thicker because they break easily but I do like the flavor and saltiness to it. The margarita was soooo good! The strawberry flavor was a really nice touch. They have been working on the inside and it now is clean and has a great comfortable feeling. Great for a casual date or hanging out and catching up with friends. Prices are reasonable for even college students to afford. Great location next to the movies and stores so make a whole day and night out of it! read more

Wow. What can I say. As a life long supporter of chilis, I can't express the disappointment I experienced during my most previous visit. My childhood memories have been shattered. The diarrhea I experienced in the bathrooms have turned out to be not worth the food. Sitting through blazing temperatures to be told made up laws about not being allowed to order drinks. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Chili's. Something about moving to Santa Barbara taught me to sincerely appreciate chain restaurants. When I'm missing home it's nice to pull up to one and know that the food and drinks will taste exactly the same! I find that each time, last-night included, that I make my way to Chili's I'm met with a warm welcome. I also appreciate that their bartenders consistently do a great job of making drink recommendations when I'm unsure of what I'm in the mood for specifically. I'd also like to state that despite all the rage surrounding Popeyes chicken sandwhich, Chili's Chicky Chicky Bleu sandwhich is far superior! I got curbside to-go from here last night, and it was pretty good! We got a sirloin steak and the ancho salmon, served with steamed broccoli, Mexican rice, and awesome blossom petals. We also ordered some fried pickles and the molten chocolate cake. We both liked the fried petals and pickles - nice and crispy, and each battered differently. The broccoli was also pretty good, and a much-needed break from the saltiness of everything else. The salmon was surprisingly not too overcooked, and the steak was alright too. We really couldn't finish everything and it was very rich, so we are looking forward to eating the chocolate lava cake later today. Thankfully, they packaged the ice cream separately from the cake so it should come together well. The takeout experience was good, although they ran out of designated curbside to-go parking spaces. It's a popular option during the covid spike I'm sure. Staff was very nice and helpful. We don't eat at chains too often but we got a gift card here, and it was a fun sort of treat! read more

You'll also find that their drink specials are well-priced, and they are as good as anywhere. You get a good deal for what you purchase. I've never had a bad meal here. I don't come to Chili's often at all. However, when I do, I either opt to sit on the bar side (in order to take advantage of their happy hour) or their back patio which is surprisingly tranquil considering it's right up against a busy intersection. I've also ordered to-go, curbside-style, and have found that this method is very efficient. Simply order on their app, claim your freebie (if available), and wait patiently from the comfort of your vehicle as they whip it up. Decent spot overall. I'd come again. read more

I tried Chili's for lunch on a Monday, around noon. There was 1 server working for the entire restaurant, and this was during the lunch rush! The food was actually pretty good, but the understaffing was ridiculous. They use these stupid kiosks which are placed on the table (they look like tiny laptops) to pay your bill. Good luck if you're paying in cash and need change! The waiter never bothered to come back to our table, and still did not come over even after we complained to a busperson. Finally, we had to get a manager to take care of the bill, and that took another 10 minutes! We complained to the manager about their lousy service, but he did not apologize and appeared like he couldn't have cared less. Chill's needs new management, and they need to learn a few things about how to treat customers. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a Santa Barbara restaurant, and I'm a native! Both high chairs were incredibly sticky when we received them. We had the bartender wipe them down again. Silverware had things crusted to it. The wall had splatters on it. The machine you check out on had crud all over it. You can tell they have not been wiped down in months. There was massive gashes in the booths. There were spider webs in almost every window corner. My husband and I have worked in several restaurants and the condition of this Chilis location desperately needs to be looked into. It's concerning. I am terrified to see the back of house if they are okay to present this to the public. The server we had was very nice but it's not a mystery this company is going under in other locations. Went to Chili's tonight after realizing that Los Agaves was closed for the day of immigrants protest (much respect). There were plenty of empty tables, but apparently we had to wait for a table... I guess they're understaffed? Most of us were hangry at the time so we decided to just sit at the bar. Luckily, we came right at happy hour, so we got $3 cheese curds and $3 fried pickle apps- now being Canadian, I take my cheese curds seriously. The fry on the curds was hot, and not burnt which is exxxxcellent! The fried pickles were okay- nothing special, and piping hot (but I'd rather food come out piping hot than lukewarm). Our server was good- she was friendly and accommodating, but I felt like she didn't really come to check on us too much. It was a little weird to me considering it didn't seem all that busy when we were there. That's why I'm removing one of the stars. I got the ribeye- I should stop letting my love for steak blind me. Chilis probably isn't the best place to get steak. The ounces were not stated on the menu- you should definitely put that on there. The steak cut itself looked sad- lots of fat all accumulated in a gross pile, and wasn't nicely marbled at all. The loaded mash was meh, and the corn on the cob was hot (which is great) but was only seasoned with a sad sprinkle of pepper. Yelp users would cry seeing corn that sad. I don't want to bust on Chili's for being a place that serves mediocre food, but I'll admit, while the cheese curds were excellent and canada-approved, everything else was just... meh. read more

Just had the worst experience at any Chili's across the country in Goleta, CA. When we walked in the hostess seemed not happy and only wanted to seat us at the bar, when we clearly said we would like a table. Once at the table eventually, a server came by and took our drink and food order. The manager obviously sent too many people home as the server stated she was the only one on. However we did see a bartender and some bringing food out. Our drinks never came after 15 minutes and the server asked if everything was okay. We said, no our water and diet coke never came. This is the nearest chillis I live in Lompoc. I order honey chipotle crispers for me and a family of 5. I thought the salsa was the chipotle sauce when I originally check and realized it wasn't when I went to feed my family. When I called to ask what they can do for me. The downside is that Chili's as a company discontinued some of our group's favorite foods such as the pretzel sticks and cinnamon apples. Really too bad. Food is good enough, restaurant is clean enough and meal was well-paced. They have skillet cinnamon rolls now, but they weren't that exciting. The only thing on my mind while eating them was how I'd rather be eating cinnabon because those would be 10X better. Chocolate chip cookie skillet was great though. Super rich and delicious. Generally, we all liked our food and appreciated that they were able to accommodate special requests. We muddled through the meal, alright. So did Chili's. They have a slammer of a combo: two smokehouse items, roasted 'street corn,' fries, pickles, and a 'chile' garlic toast for $15.99. It's $2 more if you want a half-rack of ribs, or if you want to add a third item. I ordered the smoked bone-in chicken breast smothered in BBQ sauce and crispy chicken crispers. In perhaps a superhuman feat, I finished all of this save the pickles, which my friend reported as having a slightly tart cucumber flavor rather than tasting like a true pickle. In order from good to bad, I'd rate the chicken crispers as the best chain restaurant take on chicken tenders and the best part of the meal. The fries were well-seasoned and plentiful. The roasted 'street corn' has quotation marks around it for a reason: while one side was slathered in butter, mayo, cotija cheese, paprika (...?) and lime, the other was plain and merely steamed. The garlic toast was just some soggy Texas toast with garlic butter, living up to Chili's reputation as the microwavers-extraordinaire. Don't talk to me about how dry and weird that chicken breast was. I only got through all of this because of their weak $3.13 margaritas, which they offered on their 43rd anniversary on March 13. But hey, with roughly two margaritas in me, it was more than enough food to absorb the damage the cheap Presidente tequila did. The service was admittedly awful. While our server was very friendly, he constantly forgot about us: five glasses of water took one reminder and 20 minutes to come out, two to-go boxes turned into one, and we were unable to even locate him in the restaurant half of the night. I'm actually really impressed with the sirloin I ordered! I went with my younger brother and we got the two for twenty-two and boy was it a deal! ‍ We were able to choose a starter (We chose the two salads), then I chose the sirloin for my entree that came with loaded potatoes and broccoli. My brother chose the crispy honey-chipotle chicken crispers with loaded potatoes and broccoli. We were stuffed! I usually ask for medium well, and it was exactly that! Shout out to the chef! I mean, I'm not expecting a fine restaurant customer service experience, just common knowledge in server etiquette, that completely lacked with Carl. Constantly forgetting orders, forgetting to bring out simple requests like water. Taking 30 min to bring out drinks, claiming it is a state law that we are not allowed to order more than one at a time and that we have to wait 20 min before we order (even with us keeping in mind that it was a 30 min wait for one) (can someone confirm if that really is a state law?) Obviously the blame isn't entirely on him, bartender made the wrong drinks, seemed like they were understaffed idk why else our orders, even water, took so long to bring out. I believe the AC is broken, it's like a sauna in here. Anyways, good luck, hope they read up on those state laws and up their training and credentials for the servers and busboys because getting a response of "nah" to a request for a few more glasses of water is unacceptable. read more

My dad had surgery on his knee and I live out of town so . I ordered a meal for him via delivery and he didn't receive half of the items we ordered. When I called to ask if they can drop off the missing items, they gave me a hard time and said he had to go in and pick them up. If you're looking for excellent service, go next door to Jane and pay for it! My 7 year old gets entertained with a trivia game console that is offered by chili's. Poor! I don't expect MUCH from a Chili's (no offense), but it was amazing that they fell well short of my expectations. To start, I ordered online. I stood at the register for about 8 minutes, with damn near everyone walking by me at least once. Finally someone came up so I could get my food. I ordered a chicken sandwich with no ranch, no tomato, and I wanted to add bacon. I received a chicken sandwich WITH tomato, dripping with ranch, and NO bacon (which of course I paid extra for). Because those simple requests weren't met and the time it took for someone to take my order, I got home to find a very soggy mess of a sandwich. The ice cream for the cookie was more of a regular spoon scoop vs an ice cream spoon, and the chicken Caesar salad had zero parmesan cheese. It's alright for a chain, though I have to say that I thought this particular Chili's wasn't bad. The 2 for $22 still applies and you can get decent ribs and standard food for the same price as fast foods, but with a fair quantity. Service was on point today and it wasn't overbearing. They even replaced a dish because one of my coworkers wanted a different item since he realized he didn't like the cheese in the quesadilla, hence no extra charge. Only problem is that none of the foods here catch my attention, probably since it's a chain. A few friends and I came to Chili's for a Friday night dinner. Our server was great - very friendly and attentive and the food was decent. What warrants the low review is how they handled their TVs: we asked them if they could change the channel on one or two of the TVs from collegiate basketball to a World Cup qualifier game. Our server happily complied and went to find the remote, but could only find it for one of the TVs. No problem. He then couldn't find the right channel for us. Also not a problem, by then we were almost done eating anyway. However on our bill, they charged us $1.99 for something called "table entertain." (We didn't have one of those tablets at our table so it for sure wasn't because of that.) I wouldn't have cared about this fee if they had told us ahead of time or if they at least got the right channel. The fact that they slapped it on at the bottom of the check with no warning was what made it ridiculous. read more

Chilli's in Goleta had me puzzled a couple times about what I think about the place. Honestly, every time I go I have a different experience regarding the service. The restaurant could be packed and the service great/ the food arrives quick, or it could be completely empty with a really slow service. I've waited between 10-15minutes to 45 minutes for an enchiladas. Regarding the food, it's decent. Lots of choice and they will make your order however you like it. Side note, their paying station where you can pay/play games for a dollar (?) are often broken, out of paper to print your receipt or just off. It's a shame because it's an ingenious system but it's not being maintained properly. 3.5 stars. Good for late night dinner with friends. read more

For the price (3 items for 10$) you really get a good meal from this place. We had a reservation for a group of 15 and they had everything ready for us when we got there. The wait service was really nice and on top of getting everything to us pretty fast. Their strawberry lemonade is really good and very constant with refills. The honey chipotle creepers are a excellent choice to get that's a pretty big meal. It comes with corn on the cob which is prob the best corn I've had at a chain place like Chili's.
