We waited for a bit before visiting to hopefully let them work out the new restaurant kinks...probably should have waited longer. I do want to say, our waitress was very polite and attentive and the spinach queso was pretty good but the entrées were just terrible. I got the "top shelf" taco lunch and it was anything but. Just soggy, half-filled tortillas with chicken that was clearly out of a can. The flavor was not pleasing at all. The other person I was with got a quesadilla and it somehow tasted old and burnt but didn't appear burnt. Just bad quality and poor execution. I wasn't expecting much but who can't make a dang taco? Tacos, by default, are delicious...expect for these monstrosities. I'll give them a few more months and try again....maybe. read more

Okay, so I got lunch to go a few weeks after they first opened. The food was disappointing. However, having worked as a waitress before in a newly opened restaurant, I knew they deserved a second chance. So we came here again today and I'm so glad they came through! Food was hot, delicious, chicken was moist, and portions big as I remember them. It's been three years since we last ate at Chili's before here. Wait staff was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful. The manager, Andrew was great! Very customer oriented and checked on us because he was aware of my last not so great experience at lunch. So if they were not up to your expectations, give them another try. Having been open for a very short time, they still need lots of work. Expected? I suppose. Our meal ended up being free along with the table next to us. They got the steak orders wrong. The other table ended up eating our steak (unbeknownst to us) because they were hungry. It was when they brought out our steak the other table spoke up after we said it was wrong. They said they didn't complain only because they were hungry and didn't want to wait again. The other review is about their bathrooms. If you've read my previous reviews you will know cleanliness of bathrooms is important. Both the men and women were trashed. There was even an employee washing up after use and didn't say or take action to get it cleaned after walking out. Staff should take ownership of where they work. Why wouldn't you want your own place of work to be presentable? It keeps guests coming back! Our original waiter never came back after taking our order and neither did the manager who said our meals were on the house after the mistake. So.....we just walked out. Needs work. read more

I tried this place first time with my family on New year morning time as both I hops had a wait time of 1 hr. This place was not crazy busy and had a excellent service , we ordered Salmon , pasta , fries with salad every thing tasted great and spacious restaurant with great family environment. Will not forget to mention they have 4 main deserts and all are excellent.I forgot name of desert I had but that one was featured one on menu list and it was tasty. It was definitely more expensive than I hop but we enjoyed here with family.I will highly recommend this place read more

Just awful. We keep coming back to give it another chance, and it always sucks. Come for the chips and salsa, that's the only thing they have going for them. Every other menu item we've tried has been inedible at best, and the margaritas are either too sweet or too salty (salt in the bottom of the glass?) depending on the day. People kept asking the hostess why there were empty tables, and the hostess kept saying "hold on, my manager is mapping out the tables now"...20 mins later.... the crowd cleared out, and we were still sitting there. My mom asks how much longer the wait, and the girl goes " We sat you at a high top table in the bar, is that okay?" Uhm no, its not. We have a 4 year old. Then, immediately, they sit us at a booth that was open the entire time we were waiting? We order, our waitress was nice. First we got another table's food- sent it back. Next, half of our order is right, half of it is STILL wrong- sent it back again. Then, my mom's food came back cold...like it had literally been sitting out all day. When to Happy Hour today, was greeted at the front and taken to the bar. Server came over in about 5 minutes; told us the specials and seemed nice. We ordered a draft and a daiquiri. Drinks came in 15 minutes, 3 bartenders were not busy. Ordered a couple of appetizers. Took 20 minutes for food to arrive. Guac and salsa were fine, chips were a bit greasy and stale. The sliders were very greasy as well. From hostess seating to final exit, this was a truly disappointing visit. This was our first, and as you'll understand shortly, last visit. First, the hostess seating us was disengaged and more interested in chatting with her crew mates than seating us. I amazingly had to negotiate for a preferred seating choice in a restaurant that was only half full and she begrudgingly seated us as requested after several requests. Our server was friendly but lacked the ability to hold an appropriate conversation with her table. When we told her we were there for our anniversary, she immediately shared the it would be hers too had she not been divorced. When I asked about various items on the menu, she said she doesn't eat at Chilis. Weird. The food and drink were average at best. The final straw was when one of the kitchen crew, obviously on break, came out into the dining area and joined friends of hers who were dining there in a loud conversation. Very strange. The only thing that connects these events is management and they certainly have a systemic problem at this Chilis location. There are simply too many other choices for dining in Frederick to waste your dollars here. read more

Absolutely terrible experience this evening. As one of our go-too's this was so bad I don't think we will come back. Server (Eli) was polite but got EVERYTHING wrong. Appetizer came with bone-in wings rather than boneless, no big deal. Kids drinks missing fish, no big deal. After a 27 min wait for entrees, a burger (ordered with no pickles, no onions), was missing. A chicken sandwich that nobody ordered showed up. As the person (not the server) puts down my sons chicken crispers he pours manderine orange juice all over them. Not a big deal since they were sent back for being slimy and undercooked. This is where I became upset. Eli shows back up and says "almost got it right" with a giggle. Absolutely awful customer service. They took away the chicken sandwich that wasn't ordered but left it on my bill. When the burger finally arrived (after we all ate with the exception of my son that was served raw chicken) it had grilled ONIONS all over it. Asked the manager for boxes (she was clueless, marching up and down the isle avoiding eye contact, while clearing up the issues/complaints with the two other tables within earshot of us. After hearing her rather boring rehearsed apologies. She didn't even inquire as to why full plates were being put into boxes. She needs training as well. We just asked for the sandwich we didn't order to be removed, paid, and left Eli a most generous $10 bucks on a $106 bill. I know the employment pool isn't the best right now but Eli needs serious training as well as your management. Maybe start with the manager shouldn't be slushing around in crocks on the dining room floor. Overall terrible experience. The GM should move quick to rectify these issues before this once nice place goes any further down hill. read more

We were always big Chili's fans, not so much anymore after visiting this location. It is important to recognize that any business can have a bad day, but this was much more then that. The exterior was littered with debris as their trash can and ashtray overflowed with crap. We ventured in to a vacant reception area. A host luckily made it the front to greet us after an eight minute wait(yes I timed it.) She seemed to be trouble by our presence but non-gracefully sat us at a dirty but quant booth anyway. We pealed the menus(that were drenched in ketchup, BBQ and god knows what else) apart and delicately distributed them to our party of six. Our waiter appeared twelve minutes later (yes I timed it too) and trounced to us through a 80% vacant dining area. He was not unfriendly but not nice either. We ordered what appeared to be a marvelous meal. To Chili's credit the food came out quickly. Most of the food items were over cooked with cheese hard enough to break a window with. Bland is an understatement in describing taste. When we got the bill we were sticker shocked. Looks like Chilis is now going for the Cadillac price but delivering a Yugo feel (for the younger generation a Yugo was a crappy car made in the eighties that fell apart.) Needless to say I don't think we will be eating at the Fredrick Chilis anytime soon. read more

I have been been to Chili's restaurants all over the United States and they have had great customer service and food. This is the second time and last time we will visit this location. The wait staff was immature and couldn't get our order correct. When our food arrived it wasn't warm. The meat that came with the fajitas was tough and tasteless. And when does the appetizer come with the meal? I don't want a discount on my bill, just a reassurance from the manager that they will work to improve, not excuses for poor service and food. read more

This is by far the worst Chili's I've ever been too. My first experience here was opening weekend when issues are expected but I would call it a total disaster. Seated an hour and a half later than our reservation, the server, when informed that we were in a bit of a hurry as we were seeing a movie across the street and were seated an hour late, seemed more interested in talking about a movie she'd seen, half the food arrived cold and incorrect, and, when reminded about the movie, said you should have told me. I've been several times since giving them time to get their stuff together, but service and food send to be fairly hit or miss with an emphasis on miss. I love Chili's but, with so many better local and chain restaurants in the area, this one isn't worth a stop. read more

I have given this place two tries personally and my coworkers tried a handful of other times. We have collectively given up. Every time one of us went at least one entire meal was wrong. The last visit was terrible enough to never be worth trying again. My company's president got a soup and salad lunch combo. We were only given the soup. I had to go back to the store TWICE to get them to give me salad. The take-out cashier treated me like I was a pain in his ass and he was doing me some big favor by giving me part of the meal we had paid for. My meal was completely cold by the time I was done dealing with the soup and salad issue, but it didn't matter because it wouldn't have been edible either way. I ordered the extra crispy chicken strips with extra dipping sauce. Somehow this was translated to "Pour all of the sauce all over the chicken." to the kitchen staff. It was beyond disgusting. The entire thing was soggy and half of the breading fell off when I tried picking pieces of chicken up. I was fed up enough after my second time back that I grabbed a manager's business card. After attempting to eat my meal (I was not going back a fourth time at that point.) and throwing it out, I emailed him. Never got a response. It's just fail after fail. I won't miss them. It's just a shame they're taking up a really good restaurant space. It was nice to potentially have more lunch options. This may as well not be there. read more

Today, Feb 25th my husband, our 5 kids and I went to chili's for dinner, when we arrived we were told that it would be a 20 min wait but there were plenty of tables for them to seat us. The same thing happened the day before we went with my family and my in laws there was 9 of us total and was told it would be a 2 hour wait so we decided to go somewhere to eat my daughter was very upset about this. So after waiting for 25 mins or so I decided to ask to speak to the manager which the manager on duty her name is Karen she said give her a few minutes and get a table ready for another switch that she was very nice and accommodating and also she paid for my Daughter dinner. Save your money, save your time, and save your stomach to go someplace.... ANYplace....else. A visit on a Sunday evening with a reasonable amount of customers should be a recipe for an unhurried, enjoyable meal. Ordered a selection of Margaritas, which, at $10 a throw, ought to be spectacular. My wife's - 'The Classic' ? -- was supposed to be a top shelf Patron cocktail. Neither one of us could detect any tequila in the drink. Top shelf price -- had I been sitting at the bar I would have sent this back. We were very hungry -- we then ordered some Classic Nachos to share -- $11.95. When you see Nachos on the menu the mental image is of a platter of chips awash in cheeze, green onions and jalapenos. What was presented about 20 minutes later was a dinner plate with 12 individual chips artfully arranged with a small amount of melted cheeze and a pepper on each one. My wife laughed at the server when she set it down. That's right... a buck a chip and not enough to satisfy one person much less three. Our dinner was presented about a half hour after that. We had a selection of things you would expect that Chilis could do well.... their specialties... fajitas, a quesadilla, some shrimp tacos. All were cold. So..to recap.... overpriced, small servings, bad cocktails, cold food and unbearably slow, inattentive service. With an appropriate tip the bill for three came to $90. I don't need a second visit to decide just how awful this is. **** An update: This was such an unsatisfying experience, I engaged with Chili's Corporate. Being an earnest fellow, I sent them a just-the-facts version of the above via their public e-mail which is published for just this purpose. After a few days went by, someone from HQ called me on the phone. Their message was that "if I wanted to pursue this further, that I needed to complete a multi-page survey". If I wanted to talk to them about it, they wouldn't talk to me until their survey was complete. My message to them was this was no way treat a customer they had already aggreived, but they stuck to their guns, even though they had called me, they wouldn't talk to me until I completed their survey first. I'm afraid I was not polite. "Let me get this straight...I have already taken the time to engage with you and write this up with complete detail, including my transaction numbers, and you "won't talk to me until I complete your survey"? I have an easier solution. I'll just share my experience with anyone who will listen and never spend a dollar with you again." Corporate doesn't care about whether any of their locations are under-performing. They don't care about whether you are happy... their system is intended to make engagement with them as difficult and time consuming as possible. Good customer service teams know how to address this -- admit fault even if it isn't their fault, put yourself in the customers' shoes -- sympethize, apologize -- and refund or provide gift cards to address the deficient experience. Instead, they called me and steadfastly refused to discuss my concerns, making the whole situation much worse. Good job. In Frederick Chipotle and Mariachi are right across the street. Recommend you cross it. read more

We ordered through door dash from a hotel that is .5 miles away from this location. The person who packed our order forgot to put certain items in the bag. For example, we ordered fajitas and they did not send the tortillas, guacamole, or sour cream. Some things you can do without, but the tortillas for the fajitas???? We called and the guy who answered the phone had no idea what to do. He could not find the manager for a length of time and wanted to call us back if he could find them. We insisted and she came to the phone. He wanted us to come get it which defeats the purpose of Door dash. We talked to the manager and she decided to send someone to drop it off when the employee got off of work. Of course, by the time we got the rest of the order, everything else was cold. We love chili's, but whoever is packing the meals for delivery at this location needs to be more careful and thorough. This is a problem that could be avoided. Also, management needs to have a plan for dealing with this issue and hold the people packing the foods responsible. This cannot be a one time incident. Double check that everything is there before sending it out or delivery. This should not be that hard. The food was all great once we got it. You just need all components of fajitas to enjoy them as a meal. read more

Sat at the bar last night and the food was amazing! The bartender was super sweet and accommodating. Really good deals including a 3 course meal for 2 people with drinks for only $35. We had a problem with the chicken sandwich coming out undercooked, but the bartender was polite and let us switch to the pasta. I really liked how we were originally offered a new sandwich opposed to recooking the old one. Very sanitary because they said since we touched it, it couldn't go back on the grill. Many other restaurants would simply place it back on the grill. I loved the cleanliness of this restaurant!!! read more

I think this is one of the better Chili's restaurants since the last 3 years or so it seems like ALL Chili's have kind of gone down hill. My family & I were there on Monday night and it wasn't busy at all. We had prompt & friendly service and everything came out correct and very good. We got lots of refills and the waitress checked back on us multiple times. It was very enjoyable. My only complaint is the changing policies that probably come from their corporate HQ. I miss getting free chips & salsa, now I have to pay $3.99 and they have an option for "Ranch" for an extra dollar. I asked if it was some kind of ranch dip, but no, it's just ranch dressing. Also, I ordered fajitas, which according to the menu come with guacamole, but when they came out without guac, I had to ask for it. The waitress said guac was available upon request only, it just would have been nice if she told me that when I ordered. And I almost forgot, my fajitas had green peppers only, instead of including red or yellow. I'm sure they used to have more variety in the peppers. Fajitas are supposed to have more than just green peppers (and onions, of course). read more

Do not want miss reading my Happy hour info! The parking outside is plentiful. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by 2 hostesses. The restaurant looked clean. I headed to the bar. The first bartender [Mike] introduced himself and he introduced the other bartender and he did this everytime a new person from my group arrived. I thought it was good business verses the typical "what can I get ya". Very friendly staff. Clean bar. The bar has a good selection of drinks liquors, bottled and on tap. The happy hour specials are Happy! Happy Hour Mon-Fri from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. no typo here it is 6 hours!!!! Which is great because if you get there after 7, you have plenty of time to enjoy the huge price break. Enjoy an appetizer or two and sip on a drink (responsibly of course). Happy hour includes Half-off Table Side Appetizers. $3 house wines, margaritas $5-6 and of course rail drinks and beer. Now I can not post those prices because I believe the shock of the happy hour; my mind drifted and I forgot. It's cheap. I tried the Presidente Margarita has Blue Agave tequila, it was good. My friends ordered it and they enjoyed it too. The food, I tried the guac and margherita flatbread. The flatbread straight from oven to table nice and hot. That was tastee. It did not take long to get our food either. In fact quickly. The guac was good. Chips could be bigger and thicker to avoid not so many small pieces and able to pick up the guac without breaking. My first visit here, when they first opened, was outstanding. Fast forward to today - the worst experience I've ever had. My server, Chelsea C., was condescending, rude, and completely messed up the order. She even argued with me when I informed her how badly the order was wrong. I then asked to speak to a manager and was never approached. I left after 20 minutes of waiting. Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT come. Apparently the training cooks and managers have left the building and the restaurant has clearly tanked. read more

2 stars for service! My husband and I stopped in for lunch today. The restaurant was fairly empty but we had to wait 10-15 minutes to be acknowledged by our waitress,( we were just about to leave). We ordered right away and after another 10-15 minutes we were advised that they were out of the soup that we ordered. Ok, we switched to another soup and house salad...no problem. We were finally served our food. The food was what we ordered and ok, but my husband had no spoon for the soup. After another 10 minutes she brought a spoon.
