Well another experience at this Chili's which makes me so ambivalent. Pro: Free appetizer coupon per email for my birthday. Buffalo wings with the original sauce. Con: Buffalo wings a little soggy. Main course brought out shortly after appetizer. Pro: Happy hour till 7p with $1 off import drafts . Con: Platinum margarita not on happy hour menu. Con: Memphis style ribs with "dry rub" too literal. They were really dry! Pro: Ancho chile BBQ sauce really good! read more

Very disappointed with our recent visit to this Chili's. Everyone was really nice and we were seated pretty quickly despite them being busy. However, the food quality has gone way down. 1 - I ordered bone-in chicken wings and one of my wings still had feathers on it. Lost my appetite. 2 - Ordered the chips and salsa with ranch and we're done with the first basket of chips before we got our ranch which was a small little container. 3 - Awesome Blossom petals are nothing like their original recipe. Sad about that. Did not taste good. This is just a sample of the not-so-great food we had. I have always liked Chili's and enjoyed eating there on occasion. I will go back to Chili's but I do not believe I will go back to this location. read more

We sat down to have a dinner with one of our sons and we're excited to order shrimp fajitas. Center and plate were burning but the sides of the pile of the shrimp came out cold from not cooling before coming out. Server was no help just took them away and removed them from bill. read more

I went to Chili's because I was given a gift card. It was okay. When I walked in, both the young host and hostess were talking with each other with their backs to the front door. I was not greeted upon entering (Not great customer services moves.) The table I was seated at was cleanish on top and had some slippery stuff under the table. A slice of lime and a large chunk of unwanted broccoli. (Careful! Being seated can be very slippery and a bit dangerous. Yikes) The menu I was handed was a bit sticky. Kinda gross. The young server was pleasant and friendly with his introductions. I ordered a house salad and honey Chipotle wings, it was happy hour all day on this balmy Sunday. Unfortunately, my server forgot to ask what kind of dressing I wanted and assumed Ranch would do the trick. Upon being served the salad, the cucumber slices were turning-- (a mite brown). Okay, moving right along... The wings and fries, had some flavor. The wings were for sure messy and sticky. Luckily, I was given a small stack of napkins to try and handle the mess. I did need to request wet wipes to remove another layer of sticky of my fingers. Interestingly enough, it wasn't seen or assumed that those wet wipes would be needed. At the end of my meal, the blessed gift card did not work. And this concludes my review for Chili's. I will not be back in the near future. read more

Order through doordash. This was supposed to be shrimp fajitas. I didn't recieve tortillas. This rancid goo that I got was ICE cold. Even the guacamole had a rancid sour taste. I live 2 minutes from here. There is no way it got cold on the ride over. Chilis used to be a good little place to grab food. There is something seriously wrong with this location. I tried calling so I could let them know there is a problem. First I was hung up on before even getting a chance to speak with someone. Second time I was on hold waiting for a manager for 20 minutes and as soon as they answered the phone they hung up. Honselty this location needs to be shut down since no one who works there cares about their customers. read more

We've picked up curbside from this Chili's two times in the past couple of weeks and I couldn't be happier. Such a great experience. I ordered 2 of the "3 for 10" meals for my wife and I. Both times, as I've pulled into the parking lot, a girl has come out with my order without me even calling. The food (fajitas, chips and guac and strawberry lemonade) has been delicious both times and you get a TON of food. Seriously great job, thanks for making my day better! read more

My server Thomas was very absent during my visit here today . Took me about 15 minutes to even get greeted , he proceeded to not even introduce himself and automatically just ask first thing "Oh you're dining in ?" Like i'm not sitting here & have been waiting & the host sat me ?? Then I did not like something in my food and i proceeded to eat after waiting a while for him to come back to accommodate the situation, as if he was trying to avoid me also telling me the manager would stop by and he NEVER did. Not sure if it's just folsoms location here but i typically love chilis from service to food . HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED and have never been treated so poorly at one before . read more

We had dinner with a group of friends there recently. The service is a bit over-the-top. The young wait-staff all have headsets and are on you like a mob as soon as you come in. A little TOO friendly. We shared salmon with broccoli. The frozen salmon was overcooked and so quite dry and tasteless. The broccoli was steamed with no seasoning and had no taste. I had a bite of the chicken tenders one of my friends had in her salad and it was cold, tough and tasteless. I guess this is why it's been quite sometime since I had eaten in a Chilie's. I'll find something else next time. read more

Chili's is a go to spot for good food at affordable prices. They have great specials for couples with their 2 for $25 and service is usually fast. The waiting staff is very tentative. I have had nothing but good experiences and will definitely come back. read more

Will never go back after this last experience. We have been going to Chili's for years for our girlie get together in December. What the heck happened to the Presidente Margarita amount that is now poured? We used to get almost 3 drinks from a shaker and now it is barely a glass. And no alcohol! My 2 friends who are lightweights didn't feel anything after that drink! Seriously what is the point of the big blue shaker now? Also no more celery with the Buffalo wings. And the blue cheese dressing was the most unappealing color and texture as it plopped on our plate! Maybe it was old. So disappointed that we have to pick someplace new now! read more

It's no surprise that I see Anna's name on these reviews! My family and I stopped in for dinner on Thursday and although we couldn't fully enjoy our meal because of my fussy 4 month old, Anna definitely helped the situation. She took good care of us and had a smile on her face the whole time. I was struggling to feed my baby and breaking a sweat in the process. As a mother of a 5 month old she understood the hard time I was going through and left me an encouraging note. Not only is Anna an amazing server but she's a great person as well. read more

My boyfriend and I went to this location for lunch today August 14th around 2pm.it didn't seem busy at the time. We were first seated at a dirty table that was clearly not wiped down.Then our waiter asked what we wanted to drink we said water and that took years for us to get it. It took awhile for the waiter to ask what we wanted to eat too,and once we got our food my Cajun pasta was cold.my boyfriend ordered a mixed drink and they forgot to bring that out before or with our food as well.i also had to remind my waiter twice for a box to take my food to go.if I could I give this location zero stars.maybe we just came on a bad day. read more

$68 dollar dinner for 3 ordered by door dash last night, cold, 1 dinner good, 1 dinner soggy but the WINNER was the 3rd dinner = 2 nasty brownish "Caesar salads" with old (not all romaine) lettuce, tiny amount of parm and NO CROUTONS! The only thing right was the Caesar dressing! Did I mention the missed French fry order, however they did manage to give us 4 packets of ketchup. We pay you money, you prepare good food, this is the exchange. The thrill is gone, no fun spending extra to have a meal from this place. Hysterically, my receipt had fries highlighted as if someone from Costco checked the order off the list! Maybe they got hungry. You ruined dinner for $6.83+/- refund = never again waste of time, money, energy. Yuck soggy food sucks. It all begins from the top. If your management is poor so will your food be. read more

Chilis is a great American dining restaurant that has a lot of Mexican style options. If I'm not coming here for burgers I usually go with friends who share a dinner for 2. For only $22. For the appetizer we typically go for half order of Texas cheese fries, then if I'm not getting the bacon ranch chicken cheese quesadillas, I'll take fajitas or a classic bacon burger. I decided to go with the fajitas today while my friend had the crispers. Service was kind of bad here because the waiter immediately saw us yet walked away. If you make eye contact, you should definitely be responsive or at least say can you guys on a minute, we'll be right with you? Bad service. Took a while to get seated and had no drink refills. Food was great which is why it's 2 stars. At other chilis location, I'd give a 3/4 at least but with this poor service, it's getting lower. Great prices and food portion sizes. read more

We were here last night and our waitress Lea was fantastic! She helped me with the meanie and also setting up the thing for gathering points etc. we loved the food and out free desert was spectacular however we really didn't need to eat it! Yes we will go back again. We have been here several times and never had a bad time. Go try it out then walk over and see a movie! read more

Poor service. We arrived at 12:35. Stood at the door until 12:40. My kids and I sat at a table until one and no one took our order. About 15 minutes after being seated, someone checked on us and we reported we were waiting to order. She reported she would get our server and gave us silverware. We waited another 5 minutes and left. On the way out, no one acknowledged us or even noticed we left. I reported my experience to patrons coming in the door on the way out. I won't be back for a while. I hope you can improve your in house communication and customer service. Thanks. read more

Food was great but the service we got was awful. The person who served our foods asked me what else do I need and after I told him, I didn't get what I asked for which were only the spoon and vinegar! No one ever checked our table if we need any refills for our drinks. We had to literally wait for someone to pass by so we could ask for refills of our drinks. Ruined my night. We should've just went to the one near our place and shouldn't have taken the time to drive to Folsom. So, I am giving this 1-star rating because of our experience. The sad thing about this I gave an excellent survey and stupid of me to submit it before I got my food. Ugh! read more

Haven't been to a Chili's in years and was pleasantly surprised that the food was so good. Friends shared the fried platter. My husband had avocado bacon chicken. I had their special secret sauce burger without the sauce and it was still delicious. Our server was Joseph. He was very attentive and polite. The other workers also were very attentive. We have always enjoyed our visits over the years and understand the restraints with COVID, but unfortunately there were so many mistakes with our recent visit, it's hard to place blame just "on COVID". We waited outside for a table observing about 20 people come out, yet we were never called (texted) & after over 45 minutes waiting, we had to go in and ask, and were told 'oh, yes, we will set a table up'. (Forgotten?) 5 people ordering and you can only view the menu on your phone or on little kiosk at table. Not everyone has a phone. Many establishments have found a way to provide menus... Ordered chips/salsa and queso bean dip. Usually our favorite. Dip came 20 min after salsa so needed to order extra chips. Poor timing. 1 Ordered a side of "extra crispy fries.....extra, extra"... yet plain semi-cooked fries arrived. Another ordered boneless wings with bbq sauce. It came coated with a spicy Buffalo sauce. 1 ordered Buffalo chicken salad...that came not only 30 minutes after everyone else received and nearly finished their meals, but apparently it was forgotten and the manager ended up making it - and it was semi-raw chicken. Did not touch. How can you screw up a salad that only has lettuce, blue cheese and chicken strips? Spicy Shrimp tacos - cold dry tortilla. Felt like it came out of the box and they just tossed shrimp in it. No avocado. Nothing like the picture/description. 1 ordered a strawberry margarita, first came with sugar rim. Yum. ...the 2nd order came with a salt rim! Shirley Temple, no cherries? Bartender? Asked a passing server for napkins since there were none on the table and she tossed us cocktail napkins. Our server was very nice, tried his best under the circumstances. He removed some items from the bill. Lack of observed management, understaffed or no apparent training of staff, quality from both the bar and kitchen all unfortunately failed. Bathrooms needed some help too. Sigh... we miss the old Chili's :( read more

Be sure you know exactly what you want to eat before coming to this Chili's. A dear friend was kind enough to give me a $50 gift card for Chili's, but finding it hard to use. The most annoying server ever refused to give me time to read the menu. Within 5 minutes she sat at my booth 3 times, and kept suggesting I order chips. If I wanted chips I would have went open and opened the bag in my pantry. I was anticipating a nice sit down meal and alcoholic beverage, but ended up handing the menu back on her third sit down. Paid for my drink, which I hardly touched and left. I'm sorry I don't eat out every day at Chili's - reason being I've been sick twice from under-cooked chicken Ive ordered from other locations. I avoided the chain like a plague after the 2nd incident ruined an entire out of town weekend get-away, it has been several years, so I figured I'd give them another try since I have this gift card to spend. I can understand the desire to turn tables quickly when it's busy, or a small table so you assume less tip, but this was just rude, and totally unnecessary given it was 4 pm. There were plenty of tables and I was in a two seater by the kitchen...hardly taking up valuable real estate during peak hours. Lesson: If someone tells you politely they aren't ready to order, give them more than 30 seconds and wait until they put the menu down. Don't try to sell them chips or ask them to pick a $10 special from the back of the menu because you are in a hurry. read more

Always been a Chili's fan since the 90's but my bad experience last wk in Folsom branch will make me reconsider. 1. Extremely Delayed curbside service - phoned my order at 6pm on a weeknight, and was told order will be ready in 20mins. Arrived 30mins later and paid at curbside with generous tip, and was told order will be out shortly. Got busy with a phone call till 7pm, still nothing. Phoned in and told staff I was forgotten, but staff said no - "kitchen just forgot to cook 1 of the items". At 720pm, I stormed inside and still nothing...until my food was eventually ready. 2) Extremely Bad customer service - staff did not acknowledge mistake, and no apologies whatsoever. No remorse, and made me felt like, "you want your food, you have to wait" attitude from all. If you truly crave for Chili's, stay away from this Folsom Branch!!! read more

I usually feel like places don't provide enough tartar sauce but here I had sauce left over Bloody Mary: 5/5 I don't like blood Marys and I enjoyed this one which might indicate that it wasn't good but I really liked it. My husband said it was "more vegetal than usual" and I think I don't like the overwhelming tomato taste of a usual Bloody Mary so his observation makes sense Mulled wine: 4/5 pleasantly warm and interesting in flavor. Felt comforting after skiing If this was a random restaurant in the Bay Area this review would look very different but I'm comparing it to usual fare at ski resorts; to sit down to such a nice, filling, hot meal while wearing my ski boots was such a happy time, all three of us were thrilled.

Went in for a pick up order and got the chicken burrito and a pulled pork "Buckwich". The quality of the meat is perfect. The texture, flavor, all of it. The supporting casts were excellent as well. The habañero mango made a perfect compliment to the pulled pork and the burrito had ample amounts of beans and cheese (you'd be surprised how often that is not the case). Didn't get the Mac n cheese this time, but I hear it's awesome...next time. To top it all off, Marty and Owen were a pleasure to interact with. All in all, again, a great grab and go (or casual dine in) addition to Tahoe City. I'll definitely be returning on a frequent basis.

The Cali was LOADED with toppings. The Figueroa was also fantastic. The highlight was the salad. HIGHLY recommend sharing this unless you're extremely hungry. We didn't think we would eat it all, but we honestly couldn't stop. It was lightly dressed, contained a ton of toppings and was probably half a container for mixed greens which was fantastic! If you're more into heavily dressed salads you probably wanna ask for more. Either way, we had a great lunch at an unassuming place. They apparently have a Speak Easy as well which we unfortunately didn't get to experience.

I never imagined I'd be compelled to write such a review for a restaurant that has long been a family favorite. Tonight, we came to celebrate my son's 13th birthday at the Folsom Chili's, only to leave disappointed and disheartened. After waiting 15-20 minutes, we were seated at a table for six. We typically start with chips and guac which is my son's favorite but despite ordering it right away, it never arrived. We later realized it had been sent to another table. Mistakes happen, but what made it worse was the lack of attention from our server throughout the evening. He seemed far more attentive to the tables on his right, while ours was repeatedly overlooked. We waited far too long to place orders and struggled to get his attention for even the most basic requests. When it came time to pay, we noticed the chips and guac were still on our bill. After struggling to get our server's attention, my husband finally flagged down another staff member and said, in a lighthearted but genuine way: "Hey man! Our server is struggling, can you please help us?" Instead of helping, his response was: "Have some respect man, we're just really busy." In all my years of working in the service industry, I've never spoken to a guest that way, nor have I ever been spoken to that way as a customer. It was unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessary given how politely the request was made by my husband. I want to be clear: I am not sharing names because this isn't about singling anyone out. We know many of the staff are young and still gaining experience, and we genuinely respect that they're doing their best in a tough job. The concern here is that management hasn't provided the training, guidance, and support these employees need to succeed. That lack of oversight left us feeling ignored, dismissed, and disrespected. Unfortunately, the manager's own response: "We'll talk to them, but we're busy" only reinforced the impression that customer experience isn't a priority. We had hoped for a simple, special dinner where the staff might even wish my son a happy birthday, but instead we left disappointed and unheard. Sadly, after tonight, I don't think we'll be returning to this location anymore. read more

I walked to the bar and they were quiet 6pm. No one said hi or told me they would be with me in a moment. I was bold and asked nicely for a menu. I ordered a drink and my salad. Half way through my margarita I asked where my salad was (45 min). I was informed she never placed it. I had to ask a second time... I was there an hour and a half before my salad arrived. I filled up on chips and salsa by now and really was ready to get out. I also had to ask for the chips. The chicken in my salad wasn't pink put didn't taste fully cooked and I lost my taste, didn't want to bicker and just wanted to leave. It was truly awful and I won't ever step foot in a Chile's again. I have eaten at them many times but this was a total turnoff. Waitress forgot to add my drink order and my bill and I didn't speak up. I paid my bill and tipped out. I waited my 24 hour cooling off period (lol) I thought I'd share this. One question. Why is it when a business is busy you get better service and when they're slow they normally drag it on? read more

Look, I've been to quite a few Chili's in my time, but this one in Folsom really takes the cake. The folks working here are a class act, always polite and on top of their game when it comes to customer service. Seriously, they never miss a beat. Now, let's talk about the food. It's consistently great, no two ways about it. Just tonight, we went for the barbecue platter and a house salad. Believe me when I say, it was mouthwatering. And the best part? You're getting this quality grub and top-notch service at a price that doesn't have you emptying your wallet. The location is just the cherry on top. It's conveniently situated right across from Folsom Premium Outlet. Talk about a perfect pit-stop after a shopping spree! Honestly, I can't recommend this Folsom Chili's enough. Asked why is menu saying that? Well apparently it's applicable only if ur in bar area...no biggy...I said I'll pay more...I just want it in dining area...still can't order..server apologize and walk away..says she wants a manager to give me discount...I never asked for discount..I said I want what I order ..just charge me whatever ... Money isn't a problem...she still couldn't do it...10 minutes... I wish I could give a negative review. The managers allow their employees to be high (weed and illegal drugs) on duty. The managers do not handle sexual harassment. Multiple employees have been verbally and physically sexually harassed by other staff and managers do nothing. Management was informed on multiple occasions of harassment and they do not talk to or fire the staff. And there is a cockroach problem to the point that it is found in the food. read more

I originally went to this Chili's location for the tortilla soup, but they don't serve it anymore. However, I still decided to try the chicken enchilada soup along with a chicken quesadilla and their seasonal margarita. Although I enjoyed the experience, I really miss their tortilla soup. The food and drinks were great, and the service was friendly, but I hope they bring back the tortilla soup soon! read more

Been coming here for years. My grandparents love it but are to o old to go out so I always grab our food to go now. They know my order and know my grandpa will complain if the fries are cold so they make sure they are hot every time. The service is always good the manager is very nice and helpful. The Cadillac Margarita was outstanding, served in a large cocktail glass with a mini bottle of Cointreau perched on top for the perfect finishing touch. My friend ordered a virgin lavender drink, which was refreshing, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. For appetizers, we ordered the shrimp quesadillas, and they ended up being one of our favorite dishes of the evening. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the chipotle adobo sauce added just the right amount of smoky flavor and spice. For my entrée, I chose the Chile Relleno, which came with rice and refried beans. While it was good, it wasn't my favorite chile relleno compared to others I've tried. The real star of the meal was the seafood molcajete. Loaded with shrimp, meat, cheese, and a bubbling hot salsa, it arrived sizzling at the table and was incredibly flavorful. Served with warm tortillas and extra salsa, it was hearty, filling, and perfect for sharing. We finished with the churros for dessert. They were crispy on the outside, hot and soft on the inside, and paired perfectly with the rich cajeta dipping sauce. Throughout the evening, the service was exceptional. Both the bartender and our waiter were attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome. You can tell this is a family-run business that takes pride in its hospitality, food, and drinks. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with classic Mexican-inspired décor throughout the restaurant. The bar is lined with an impressive display of tequila bottles, and the space is filled with decorative touches that celebrate Mexican culture and traditions. It feels lively and authentic without being overdone, making it a comfortable place to relax after a day on the lake. Not knowing the price because it wasnt on the Menu it came with a price of $12.99. It was a 3 Big Mounds of Guacamole and if I knew that it was that price, I certainly wouldnt have ordered that. We ordered our drinks and Veronica came back with those and then we ordered our food. I ordered the Pollo En Crema and my wife ordered the Pick 2 which she chose the Chille Relleno and the Chimichanga. After about 7 to 8 minutes our food came out and let me tell you, my Pollo En Crema was hot and so was my Tortillas. I ordered Corn & a mixture of Flour Tortillas to eat with my food. When my wife began eating her food, she said that it was spicy which let me tell you, she doesnt do spice but I dont mind it, occasionally. So I removed the Chille Poblano from underneath her food and it helped lighten up the spiciness just a little bit. She then ordered a Pineapple Margarita and when it came let me tell you that we were very disappointed in its size. It came in a little Old Fashioned or maybe you might know the term Lowball Glass. After eating our food, let me tell you when I asked my wife about the quality and taste of her food on a scale from 1 to 5 she gave it a 2.5 and while I enjoyed my food it was on a scale of a 4. We appreciate the service that Veronica provided, we feel like she did her best. While this wasnt really our favorite experience, the thing that might get us to return would be the Breakfast options.

The tacos weren't bad at all. The meats weren't greasy. The taco shells were fresh fried, without the greasiness. Also for the price I was envisioning small or mini sized tacos, but pleasantly surprised that they were regular sized. No skinny minis. Plus they didn't skimp on filling the taco with the proteins. They were topped with shredded cheese and lettuce. The person taking my drive thru order was great. Patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind.
