I don't usually go to Chili's because I am primarily vegetarian and occasionally pescatarian and they don't offer options. On Wednesday night my wife and I went to pick up some friends arriving at the airport. We arrived early in El Paso from Las Cruces and we wanted to watch the Mexico vs Czechia World Cup match in a bar so we came to Chili's before their arrival. We sat at the bar where they had multiple TVs tuned in the two games playing at the same time. My wife ordered the Santa Fe Salad with grilled chicken, pico de gallo, guacamole with a house-made Ranch dressing. I ordered their Veggie Santa Fe Burger, black bean pattie, guacamole cheddar cheese served with a side of fries. I also had a Blue Moon draft beer. They keep removing items from their menu. The fajitas meals used to come with Chile Toriados, but not any more. They charge extra for them now. The three for me options used to allow you to upgrade the 6oz steak for an 8 oz with an extra charge. You can no longer do that. Rather than removing perks, you should be revamping your menu. It's been the same for so long, I'm no longer excited to come here. Change the way you make your fries, add onion to your salads, change up the menus and make things more exciting. read more

What is going on here? This is the third Chili's that I have been to in 2 months: New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. No matter where I go, I see the decline of Chili's. Is this the new T.G.I.Friday? Went in on a weeknight and it was dead. Limited number of servers and a whole lot of empty tables. There was just me and I got right into the bar. Seems that kid behind the bar was waiting the whole bar. He did a pretty good job. As for his old fashion, it could use a little work. Do not recommend delivery. I ordered a triple dipper with a burger, eggroll, and mozzarella. When I got my food there were no mozzarella, no avocado ranch for the egg rolls (which the menu states it comes with), and broke open my burger to raw meat. I called and they wouldn't fix it because I ordered thru door dash. I called door dash and didn't even get enough of a refund to order the mozzarella. Chili's--probably one of my better choices for chain restaurants. I always have liked this chain since 1980's. I came here for a late lunch simply because I had an e-mail invitation for free guacamole, salsa & chips (normally $5.00, but I'm a member of Chili's reward club and occasionally receive these complimentary deals as well as I earn points for free food.) Also, Chili's generally offer very decent salads IMHO. My favorite is Quesadilla Explosion. With very good amount of grilled chicken and simple quesadillas, this salad makes a very filling meal. Today I was feeling like a burger, and I ordered Old Timer with cheese burger (classic) and fries. Besides the burger was a little crispy around the edges (therefore, a little crunchy) and a little more done (well-done) as I like, it tasted pretty good. Chili's burgers are generally good. Service really depends on who your server might be. Frank was very nice and frequented my booth to make sure I was doing well. This location presents itself as a contemporary, updated restaurant wanting to broaden a support base especially towards younger crowds. We've dined at this location numerous times but recently the service and food have been declining. Today was something of a snowball rolling down hill. It started with the strawberry lemonade that was watered down. We asked for a replacement and the guy looked at us like we were crazy for a moment before walking away. When he returned he dropped off the glass on the table and took off like his pants were on fire. It was clear why when I took a drink and found the same watered down lemonade. The appetizer was decent. A little on the cool side but not so much that it was an issue. Our meals however were another matter. The quesadillas with my salad and my husbands pick 3 were more like tostadas. Mine was so dried out they were crumbling as I picked them up. The ribs on the pick 3 were fair but the crispers and the fries were cold and greasy. The chicken on my salad was dry and smothered in half melted cheese. Our daughters Cajun pasta was all over the place. The chicken was the best thing on the table and the sauce was as expected. The past however was so overcooked it was like eating gooey paste. Normally we would have reported these issues to a manager but we never saw one in the restaurant. I ordered the Cajun pasta with shrimp and have had this dish at a few other Chili's locations. It's certainly one that I enjoy from Chili's. This particular time it's simply didn't taste the same as ones from the past. Also the temperature was off a bit, just barely warm. That said, it was still okay.
