The service was nice and they were really attentive. Food was hot and drinks were large. I really didn't know what to expect from the serving sizes but this was a lot of food for 2 people. Our appetizers was ok I felt like it lacked the flavors I was expecting. I wish I tried something else on the menu cause I was not impressed with my food either. Hubby food actually looked better than mine and tasted better as well. I like to try new things when I go out but I should have stuck to a churrasco port chicken.

Excellent customer from Daniel! Fantastic location close to hotels in the El Paso downtown area. Quality food with large portion sizes. Be careful how you if you come in hungry! The appetizer are huge! I got Chile Rellenos, which was totally delicious but huge! There 3 of them. Left no room for the mixed fajita platter!

Had great service. Professional, helpful, and kind. They provided great recommendations and I would highly recommend giving the place a chance to provide you exceptional service.

Chicken tacos and it comes with rice, beans and sour cream on a separate plate.

Food and drinks are delicious. I also like the cozy atmosphere and great service. I recommend the tacos de pastor and you can share a plate since it's enough food for two people.

Stopped here on our way home based on fact they serve fideo soup. my wife loves it. After we found parking on the street we came in. Nice decor and ambiance was cool. We got of course fideo soup, flautas and the Mexican plater. Food was really good, the Chile relleno was different in a good way, I'm going to try it at home. Highly recommend it if you're in the downtown El Paso.

I have found my favorite restaurant in EP and my favorite Mexican restaurant north of the border OF ALL TIMES! The decor and servers are funky cool. The Mexican plate was the best meal I have had in years! So flavorful and unique! I've been traveling to EP for years and am going to question my colleagues tomorrow on why I had to discover this solo!!!! So many details like a decanter of water and jalepeno salsa, oh my!

The Yelp community comes through again with a great recommendation! We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express near the convention center and wanted a nearby place with good food. Barrio came through all the way. Great ambiance, great food and drink, great service. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a good local restaurant.

    Bistek Tacos

I placed an order for Bistek tacos it comes with beans and rice, there are a lot of great options to choose from. There is upbeat music playing on at the restaurant, there is a lot of tables. The server was friendly.

We had the torta de chilaquiles with brisket and my mom ordered the mollete. The torta was surprisingly good, I am glad I ordered. The cafe the olla was really tasty, I would come back just for the coffee. We also had a guava pastry and a pan de muerto to go. The place has about 5 tables and a nice patio where you can chat over matcha or coffee. I recommend to stop by and give them a try.

Sandwich bread is baked in-house along with all of the incredibly fresh pastries we also enjoyed. The cinnamon role had a gorgeous crust that hid a moist inside. Cream cheese frosting was perfection. Chiapas Nutella (neglected to snap a picture) was chocolatey, buttery, and topped with fresh pecans. The cream cake was a strawberry crepe masterpiece...layer upon layer of diced strawberries and an almost-savory cream cheese filling. We were warmly greeted and immediately seduced by the lovely scent of fresh baked pastries. While indoor space is limited with only three tables, covered seating out front provided a nice space. Friendly staff brought our drinks and food out to us. We will return to this lovely place.

On August 13, my wife and I visited this place for an early lunch. You order at the counter and your order is delivered to your table. My wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I order the Border Burger: Vegan patty with vegan chorizo, vegan cheese avocado and mixed veggies with a side of fries. My wife liked that it was a piece of chicken and not the processed cubbed meat and overcooked. However, she said that it lacked of seasoning. My vegan burger was from Impossible Burgers. It was disappointing. I had expected a home made patty. The fries were a mixed of cold and hot potatoes. I was too hungry to get up to complain at the counter that was busy. I noticed that they serve Picacho Roasters coffee from Las Cruces that I love. We had already have had coffee at home so we settled for plain water. On the side of the counter they have a water dispenser for you to take. The water in the container wasn't cold so I asked for a cup with ice. I read about the delicious donuts so I had one, it was amazing. It is lovely hip place north of downtown with street parking available.

There were plenty of outlets around, so no awkward hovering near a wall like a tech-dependent houseplant. I ordered a coconut latte with oat milk, and it was genuinely good. The booth was also dangerously comfortable with the cushioned bench situation. Very easy to convince yourself you're being productive when really you've just found a socially acceptable place to sit for three hours. Customer service was kind, low-key, and pleasantly quiet. The space stayed pretty peaceful most of the time, so if you need silence to study, this is a solid find. I personally need a little more background chaos to keep my brain entertained, but that is very much a me problem. I'd still come back for the latte, the outlets, and the suspiciously comfortable booth.
