My wife and I came here to have dinner and I must say that the service was horrendous. The server Matthew kept forgetting to bring our items, we ordered spinach artichoke dip and he brought the chips but never returned with the dip! Never once did he come back to ask if things were ok. He also took nearly 10 mins to bring us to go boxes, this is a Thursday night and not very busy at all. However with all that transpired in comes the manager "Valerie" to the rescue she was very understanding and attentive. Kudos to you Valerie, you rock!! read more

Tonight was one of the worst experiences I have ever had dining out. When the server first greeted us, Ulisses(Name on receipt), did not greet us nor tell us his name, he Instead just asked us what we would like to drink. Not a big deal. We got our drinks and then ordered an appetizer. The appetizer was decent but the plates were dirty. There was still food stuck to them so we didn't use them. It took about twenty minutes for the server to come back to take our order. It was a Monday evening and most the tables were empty. We noticed him standing in the entryway towards the kitchen staring at a cell phone during this wait. I ordered a chicken enchilada soup and Cajun pasta. The Cajun pasta came out first and was okay but there was barely any sauce on it. We were done with our meal and someone from the kitchen finally brought out my chicken enchilada soup(I thought maybe I just wasn't ever going to get it and that was okay), but it came out and still sounded good. I took a bite and it was ICE COLD. I tried to flag the server down but again he was at his spot with his head down to his phone. We sat there for twenty minutes waiting and finally he came and didn't even ask us once how our food was. Instead he just dropped off the receipt. I was tempted to ask for the manager but I didn't see one around. I plan to call and complain tomorrow. I almost took a picture of the "server" on his phone. He was extremely inattentive and honestly the worst server we have ever had. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to embarrass him. But we did only leave a dollar tip and were ever reluctant to do that. Maybe he will get the hint. Chili's employee with the terrible customer service the last time we went in sent me a "compliment" Clearly I don't just like to complain if you look at my previous review of the same establishment. To start off our experience with this restaurant, i ordered sweet tea with lemon. Tea was not sweet and the lemon still had a sticker on it. I asked for sugar only to be informed that all you carry is sweet and low or splenda. So then when we ordered our foor, our server did not bring our appetizer before our meal, but with it. The appetizer sat under the salamander too long and so the fries were dried out and the cheese was on the verge of crispy. When we started on our meals, my husband got the quesadilla and the tortilla was toasted to long so it was crunchy and the cheese was crispy. I got the steak and ordered it medium rare, but it came out medium. And we didn't send it back for fear of having to wait forever to get our meals back. Our server (I believe her name was Sam) made a "drive by" check on us....she didn't stop to find out if my steak was cooked correctly, or how my husbands food was or if we needed refills on our drinks. I had to ask for those. We overheard her telling one of the other servers about customers at another table, that they were rude!! Our bill was wrong, had to wait for that to be corrected. We were there for a 2 hour experience that was not a good one. And so needless to say, the server we had (I think name was sam) received no tip and this chili's is receiving only 1 star. read more

We had just moved here to Ft. Bliss and this is the first place we stopped to eat because it was close to the hotel. My husband and I usually like Chilis, and we had been in Germany for the past three year so I was excited to get the Quesadilla Explosion Salad. Where do I start- We were seated right away but way back by the kitchen (they weren't busy at all) so it was super loud. It took upwards of ten minutes for our waitress to get to the table. When she came to take our drink order all she said was "Drinks". So we told her and she proceeded to go sit down at the table across from us for around two minutes so she could talk to her friends and other co-workers who were on break (they were on break the whole time). She looked over at us and said, "oh I forgot your sodas." We then got the drinks then sat back down with her group. I asked her for straws from across the aisle and she took them from her apron and tossed them at the table. Then she takes our order and doesn't write it down, which is no good when you are substituting items. So she goes and puts our order in - I got my salad and my husband got a burger. While the food was cooking she came back to her group and sat down again, and the hostess had to walk to the back of the store and tell her that her tables needed refills and some need checks. She huffed and went to do her JOB. She was gone for quite awhile, and when she finally came back with our food it was wrong (of course, because she didn't write it down and was paying no attention. We decided not to even say anything because we would probably never get any food. Anyway, while we were eating she sat back down with her group, that whole situation felt awkward. The food was okay, though not how we ordered it. We never got any refills, which was pretty bad since she was literally sitting at the booth next to us the whole time. Then when we finished it took about 15 minutes to get the check. We slapped down the exact amount and booked it out of there, leaving a tip in the amount of $0.00. Sorry Chili lovers.....but yuck is the best I can do. The normally very good southwestern egg rolls were mushy and bland. The boneless wings were OK but the three dipping sauces were tasteless. Stopped in here after a long airplane flight because we were starving and Chili's has always been a decent place to eat. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have updated their menu to include some lite eaters dishes so you can choose healthy options if you want. That being said, I wanted something salty and crunchy so I ordered the fries. Those were some of the best fries I've had in a long time! They were not at all greasy, were thick cut and still had the skins on, and they were well seasoned--just the right amount of salty! Our server, Matt, was very friendly and attentive. He was very respectful of my 92 year old hard of hearing mother in law, which was really sweet. The prices were very reasonable, the portions just the right size, and I love the tabletop checkout. read more

Worst chicken strip ever. I wasn't expecting anything more than edible quick food from this place. They couldn't deliver. The service was dismal and this was after a long wait for even two. Actually they shouldn't even get a star. Server was not very approachable. When ask questions about menu. Server didn't try to accommodate to customers request. Every response was a no. Didn't even try to accommodate with up charge. We don't mind paying for our meal even if it was an up charge because it will be what we wanted to order. Order the fajita combo chicken, steak and shrimp. We don't care for the rice and bean and ask if we can substitute for corn or salad. Server response was no. Horrible experience at this restaurant the waiter didn't bus our table, our drinks were left empty for half the meal. We went through the manager several times for assistance and very little was offered. Our meal was supposed to come with a dessert but we were given our check before we were even given the option to order dessert. Then when we did order the desert we were given the new bill with a higher amount even though our meal included the dessert. Probably the worst Chili's we've ever had the unfortunate experience to eat at and that's including eating at Chili's in other countries around the world during my 12 years of military service. We've been to this Chili's I think twice. The first time was pretty good, I don't remember much about it so it wasn't shockingly good or bad I suppose. This last trip made me realize that I just shouldn't eat at Chili's. It's a mediocre chain restaurant that caters to people who like chain restaurants and no surprises. First-service. Service last night was GREAT. I am one of the least observant people ever when it comes to people, so all I remember is that she was vaguely tall, thin, dark-haired, and attractive. She was also a really good waitress. She kept our drinks up, got our app out fast, was very friendly, and had me check my steak to see if it was done the right way. Attentiveness was perfect- not constantly up in our business but we didn't want for anything. Second: the food. Even if I don't really eat a meal at Chili's again I may come back for the queso because I love salt and cheese and meat, and this comes through. I'm sure I could get the same thing if I mixed a jar of Cheez Whiz and a can of chili but I'm lazy. Anyway, the queso was great. Unfortunately the rest of my meal fell short. I ordered a ribeye, coleslaw, and loaded mashed potatoes. The coleslaw was warm, borderline hot, because it had been sitting under the heat lamps for a while. It would have been good had it been cold. The potatoes tasted good but they'd been sitting alongside the coleslaw, and you could tell. Whatever, it's hard to screw up mashed potatoes. At least they weren't cold. The ribeye was the big disappointment. It was amazingly bland. No seasoning to speak of, and the steak itself just didn't have much taste happening. Yeah, I could have sent the whole thing back, but why bother? I doubt they have anything better back there than what I got, and I risk having something unpleasant happening to my food because I'm being "difficult". My advice is to come here for apps, or have apps as your main. The service really was great though, otherwise this would be a straight 2 star joint for me. read more

The wife and I headed to the location off of Airway following our sons basketball game. This is one of our quick relatively cheap go to spots after our kids sporting events. The service is usually pretty good and the food is always good. Not great but good. The price is only a little more than that of fast food, and the quality is a lot better. Worked up a thirst and appetite walking up from my hotel with a gift card. The bartender was friendly and prompt with my beer. Loved the old school touch of salting my cocktail napkin before setting down my drink! I went with the short lighter fare menu and subbed asparagus and tomatoes for the heavier quinoa and broccoli side with pasilla chicken chili dish. The corporate beer menu meant no local/state brews or spirits, the one limiting factor in my assessment of drinking establishments. I have been going to this location for a while now. They have a bartender named Chris that I met one Saturday night shortly after moving here. The service is always amazing and the food incredible. I asked this guy for some advice about my new city with my family and his advice was well appreciated. I'm in town for work reasons, and am Eating out often. I really enjoy going to Chili's for the great variety of food and good service. I usually go to the bar top since it's just me, and Chris the bartender is always great. Food is decent timing out of kitchen and he is very attentive to drink refills. I always get something different, and if ever there is an issue he makes sure it is taken care of ASAP. I definitely recommend this Chili's and give 2 thumbs up to Chris's great service! read more

I wouldn't have expected much more from a chiles but this was ridiculous. It's a Friday night so I can understand the service being slow, but after waiting for 2 hours for food we were pretty upset. It's 8:30 by the time we came in and it wasn't like it was packed or anything this late. Our waitress was spending half of her time that she was serving us sitting in a booth with other servers just hanging out and chatting only to come to us every 45 minutes to check up and maybe bring a refill if we were lucky. We didn't end up leaving until 10:30 fuming with our wrapped up food that our snotty waitress barely would box for us without rolling her eyes. We are a family of workers. We've served tables and worked doubles, Friday and Saturdays back to back.
