This is for the Chili's location in New Albany off of Dublin-Granville Road. Absolutely terrible. I've attached two pictures. One is the meal I ordered from the web site menu. The other is the sad food received. This was supposed to be the 'Smokehouse Combo' which has the description of: "Build your own combo! Choose from our famous Baby Back Ribs, NEW Brisket Quesadillas, Cheesy Bacon BBQ Chicken, Smoked Brisket, Jalapeño-Cheddar Smoked Sausage or Chicken Crispers®. Served with roasted street corn, fries, chile-garlic toast & garlic dill pickles." My "meal" was 2 pathetic chicken tenders (obviously frozen) that were undercooked and flaccid and unseasoned. The 'smoked brisket' was an OUNCE (one tablespoon) of brisket drowned in barbecue sauce and spread on a piece of toast. The corn-on-the-cob (not pictured as it went straight into the trash) was overcooked, mushy, and inedible. The black beans were extremely overcooked and went mostly uneaten. This revolting bit of garbage was my evening meal and Chili's gladly charged me $18.39. I could have gone to McDonalds and eaten vastly better food for 5 bucks. Do not go to Chili's. They used to be pretty good but cannot be trusted to deliver edible food. #Sad read more

The Chili's itself and the employees are pretty good. Just be careful at what time you go because people seem to love to bring screaming kids here as if though it's Chuck E. Cheese's or something. I also ordered some thing for takeout on Sunday and it took forever because there was only one employee there. The actual employee was cool about it, but Chili's you need to up your game. I was taken in by one of their commercials, and thought I'd check it out. I'd been to this location before and remembered it being decent, and it was. Big menu, burgers, Mexican stuff, wings, etc. I had the smokehouse combo with ribs, jalapeno smoked sausage, and honey chipotle chicken tenders or crispers or whatever. I can't resist ribs, even when I am skeptical about their quality. They were as expected: dry but heavily sauced, probably boiled or baked then finished on a grill. Not awful, certainly, but overcooked (not in a smoky juicy slow-cooked sense.) The chicken was tender, and the sauce even had a little bite. The smoked sausage was pretty good, too. Sided with average fries and okay pickles, and a pretty decent version of Mexican street corn (again, overcooked.) Service was friendly but super slow, from the time I walked in till I left. I think they were understaffed- my waitress was friendly and busy, but maybe had too many tables. You pay with the device at the table, which I wish I'd known before waiting for the check. All in all, chain food, good not great, reasonably priced for the huge portions (my platter could have fed two.) There is much better food to be had nearby, but then, it was right next to my stop at Barnes and Noble, so maybe I was just lazy. read more

Chili's is a solid place for a decent meal with a southwest flair, but it's certainly not the place for fine dining. It can get crowded during peak dinner hours, but we have never had to wait too long. They have a bar area with seating as well as an assortment of booth and table seating. Our server was exceptionally friendly, and she was always bringing drink refills when glasses got about halfway emptied. They have a very good meal deal including an appetizer and two entrees for $22, and they actually have some decent choices on the entrée list for the special deal including fajitas. When we visited the most recent time they also had an even better deal for $10 per person which included an appetizer, soup, or salad as well as an entrée and a non-alcoholic beverage. The entrée and appetizer list was more limited than the two for $22 lists, though (no fajitas, for example). They have a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine too, and a large menu of all the possible drink combinations this amazing machine can offer. We opted for the chips and salsa starter. These are quite addictive. The chips are brought out warm (usually) and fresh, and the salsa is not amazing but rather suitably decent with a mildly spicy kick. They will refill the chips at no extra charge. Then we had the chicken crispers with fries and corn on the cob as well as the 6 oz steak with broccoli and rice. All was quite good though nothing stood out. The crispers are crunchy and flavorful, and the fries are perfectly acceptable. The steak was surprisingly tender though nothing like a steakhouse offering. The broccoli was crunchy, and the rice was rather dry and flavorless. No dessert this time, but you cannot go wrong with the decadent molten cakes they have on their dessert menu. Overall, Chili's is not the place for gourmet dining but a perfectly fine place for a decent meal at a very good price particularly if you stick to their meal deal specials. read more

We stopped in on a busy evening and were offered seats at the bar even though other patrons were seated at tables immediately and there were several tables available. We are over 60 and couldn't help but notice that other older diners were being seated at the bar, as were dining groups comprised only of women. Fortunately another staff member found us a seat, and both the service and food were great. We had a nice dinner, but will think twice before going back due to the behavior of the young guy at reception. read more

Over the past month I've been to this location more times than I'd care to admit. The margaritas are my favorite. This month they had a Jameson Margarita for St Patty's. Jameson is one of my favorite whiskeys and so how could I pass that up. I also just found out I'm 9% Irish so this all makes sense. Anyhow up until my recent visit I'd say the service was ok. The time before this the app was showing no wait so I could join the waitlist all the way up until I got to the door I kept checking, however, as soon as I got there was made to wait 20 mins for a table and missed Happy Hour. This time the app was not working, but I found out why when I got there. Tons of people were waiting outside because at 5pm in the afternoon they were STILL CLOSED. System issues. Likely due to the switch I listed in my recent tip. I ordered a meal and the street corn was not fresh. Imagine KFC corn after they make it sit and still give it too you, but topped with whatever they put on it. I'm not sure I'll be back. Chili's has been one of our favorite restaurants since we moved here back in 2000. The only reason we don't get out here more often is because it's a little further out than we care to drive. Still, trust me, if it were closer we would be here all the time. Everything we've ever had on the menu has been truly delicious and we love the fact that they add new items, frequently. The only downside is that something you really love might leave the menu when you least expect it. Tonight, we took my wife out there for her surprise 50th birthday party. We had about 30 people in our party and they took expert care of us. I planned the event with the unit manager, Shawn C. and he had his crew on POINT! Everything went perfectly and everyone's meal was incredible. The service was exemplary and everyone left there completely satisfied. The staff was even kind enough to give her a birthday card with all of their signatures. Shawn, you are the MAN!!! We will definitely be back because I purchased several gift cards and received the free $10 gift card for each $50 card I purchased (holiday special) in preparation for this. More money for us! Well it shouldn't but I over heard my bartender RJ and another employee from my seat at the bar in the kitchen making transphobic and anti ya comments. Yelling "wig or no wig riddle me that and making loud clapping sounds their staff is unprofessional and to feel like I couldn't even finish my meal there because of the disgusting comments these employees were making about me needs investigated and the parties involved reprimanded! Chilis is one of my favorite places to go. I love their food. The reason I'm giving them three stars is because I have an allergy to cilantro and even when I remind them. They always put it on my food. Whenever we remind them that we told them no cilantro they usually roll their eyes or sometimes say that I didn't tell them. It's very disappointing. read more

Had dinner here the other evening. Staff were pleasant enough. Menu offered a variety of options. I went for the Ancho Salmon which came with steamed broccoli and Mexican rice. The seared salmon was pretty good, but the citrus chile sauce that topped the salmon tasted burnt. I scrapped it off to salvage the salmon. Sides were okay. The service was friendly and helpful. I had the sense that she was stretched a little thin. I say that because of her ability to cover so many tables. The restaurant was busy. My water glass went unfilled. She noted it was low at one point and said that she would get me more water. It was only until the second time that she noticed my water glass again. The manage stopped by at the end as we had been waiting for our bill. She was the one who showed us how to use their kiosk at the table for checking out. The waitress never pointed it out or asked if there was anything more we wanted. Not a bad experience, but nothing to particularly shine either. It was okay. The challenge for Chili's is that if this is a typical experience, there area is so competitive that I am not impressed to want to return so quickly. read more

Standard chain with southwestern inspired dishes and a variety of unique cocktails Ambiance Very casual bar like atmosphere inside which can get noisy during busy times. Each table has an electronic screen where you can order certain items, play games (for a fee), and pay the check. Food Tried some chips and salsa, chicken crispers, margarita chicken, and a salted caramel molten cake. They have a cool $22 special including an appetizer and two entrees which is a pretty good deal if you can find something you like from the limited list. The chips and salsa (and guacamole) were pretty good and fresh. The crispers were really good with light fluffy crispy coating and tasty fries. The chicken dish was also good with juicy chicken. The dessert was really good - verrrrry sweet and decadent. They were also having some specials on drinks for $5 which seemed like a good deal, and we got two huge blueberry cocktails for $10 which were very good. I've always had good staff here I come here a alot, I may not feel a lot of the menu I was but in general the food is pretty decent here. We had the Southwestern Egg Rolls, and Fried Pickles, both were excellent. The Southwestern Egg Rolls arrived hot, accompanied by blue cheese dressing. Hot and tasty, the crust flaky, the filling was slightly spiced and wonderful. The Fried Pickles arrived hot, crispy, and accompanied by Ranch Dressing. The pickles were firm, not mushy, and the batter perfectly crisp. The drinks were cold, and the margarita was not watered down at all. We have been going to this location often with our 2 kids (toddler and baby) and as every parent knows it can sometimes be difficult to dine with children. Our youngest was being loud this one time because he kept wanting more food. I tried my best to appease him and I do apologize to the customers around us BUT it does not mean that another waitress can come to us and say to not come in again because we were being disruptive. It caught me completely off guard and I spoke to the manager. Manager had agreed that we were being loud. I believe this situation could've been handled better. We do not dine out often because it is difficult to eat with kids but my kids were not crying, throwing themselves on the floor or acting out. My baby was screaming for more food. Hence why we go to chilis, my kids like it. Suffice it to say we will not be returning. If you have kids that can be "loud" then I would not recommend this location. This Chili's blows other chain restaurants outta the water! It's clearly very well-managed - the service is excellent and the restaurant is organized and clean. The food came out piping hot and fresh and the beer was the coldest, most refreshing Blue Moon I've ever had! it even came in a frosted glass. I always get the Cajun Chicken pasta. I have lost faith in some large chain restaurants, but not this one. Took the family and we all enjoyed our meals. Boys ordered their new craft hamburgers and they actually were as big as the photo in the menu and tasted great! I ordered one of their Tex-Mex bowls. Not bad kind of like an upgraded Chipotle bowl. Back when Barnes & Noble runs were a monthly thing for my mom, my uncle, and I, we always ate lunch (or dinner) at this Chili's. I didn't come in for a sit-down dinner the other night, as I was picking up food for my mom. The staff has changed over the years, but if two nights ago was any indication, the service is still the best. Historically, I've never had a bad experience at this store. The food's always hot, always tasty, and the servers really look after their customers. I went in and after being greeted by the hostess (who, by the way, was an absolute sweetheart) I asked if they did carry-out. The hostess led me over to the bar and called the bartender over. She was just as polite and sweet as the hostess. The bar was pretty quiet and she wasn't overly chatty, but she was friendly. The wait wasn't terribly long even though I'd come in toward the end of the dinner rush. I think I waited a grand total of fifteen minutes. It's good to know that while a lot has changed, a few things in my life have stayed the same. read more

I once lived near a Chili's. It had a really good vegetarian (artichoke) quesadilla dish with black beans. Delicious and filling. I had fond memories of the food, the atmosphere, and the service. I hadn't been to a Chili's for a number of years. So tonight when I stopped in, I was surprised to see how things have changed. Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed, but not with this location in particular (I assume they're all about the same.) I'm disappointed with Chili's (the company) in general. Virtually zero vegetarian options. Yes they have a black bean burger...just like all big chains, but not much more. I find this odd. There are a TON of vegetarians who would gladly pay for a dish that didn't seem like an afterthought. The portions seem smaller. I remember leaving stuffed after eating at Chili's many years ago. Tonight, I left a bit hungry. The trivia/credit card payment thing at the table makes me never want to return. Nothing like gathering around a dinner table with your family, friends... and a cash register. It's so absurd and impersonal. It's a restaurant for heavens sake! It already sucks that there are no televisionless views. Get the technology off of the dinner table! It's creepy. Looks like there's a camera in it (probably also a microphone.) We love this place! Since the Governor declared restaurants be closed we had not eaten out. We drove to Columbus to shop and ordered Chili's to Go! We ate in the parking lot before heading back home. Server disappeared, had to wait around 30 minutes just to order food and another 30 to 40 for it to come out. Worst service I've ever received at any restaurant. Food was 'alright'. Experience so bad it made me embrace my inner 'can I speak to a manager' whiteness to leave this review. I'd recommend just going to a neighboring local restaurant, lots in the area for same price with better service and food. I rate this chili's 10 whacks out of 10 read more
