Ate lunch yesterday at Beef 'O' Brady's in Hilliard. This is my second time eating here, the first being back in probably 2007 or so. That first time, I ate there for dinner with my wife and we enjoyed it well enough. I vaguely remembered it as being a dark-ish pub type place with televisions and high booths. It was still that yesterday. I got there a few minutes after they opened at 11:00am. I had looked at their website before going and decided upon the Fish 'n' Chips combo. From the BoB's website: Fish 'N' Chips Combo Delicious beer-battered cod fillets fried to a golden brown, served with tartar sauce and fresh lemon. This combo also came with fries, cole slaw, and I added a drink. The waitress was very friendly and brought my drink out quickly. My Diet Coke tasted more like soda water than soda so I asked her for a replacement. She said she would get it from the bar this time and see if it was any better. She did and it was. My fish 'n' chips came out quickly and was quite hot (as cooked food will be). Lunch came in a plastic flat dish with a checkered sheet of paper lining the bottom. All told, there were 3 pieces of fish - each slightly smaller than a deck of playing cards, a goodly portion of medium cut fries, a small cup of cole slaw, a small cup of tartar sauce, and a wedge of lemon. I ate a couple of fries as is before I added ketchup. Nice and crispy, hot, and fluffy on the inside. Good enough to eat sans ketchup but I really like ketchup. It made them better. It also soaked through the paper lining so I ended up scraping all of the food off of it into the dish and throwing away the paper. No need to add bits of soggy paper to my lunch. I next tried the cole slaw and I was disappointed. It was room temperature which is puzzling, plus, it tasted...off. Not food poisoning off, just...weird. I added pepper to it and it did not improve. I set it aside and started on the fish. The fish was very good. Nice and crunchy batter, extremely flaky fish inside, and had an excellent fresh flavor. I really enjoyed it. I sampled the tartar sauce and like the cole slaw, it was room temperature. To me, both cole slaw and tartar sauce should be cold. The tartar sauce had an OK flavor. Nothing memorable. The wedge of lemon I ignored. I finished my lunch and it was filling. I did not have room for dessert even though I was eyeballing the cheesecake on the menu. I also did not need a refill on my Diet Coke. The combo was priced at $13.99 and the drink was $3.19. Overall, a decent lunch with the fish being the star. Excellent waitress, good service, quick turnaround time. I may or may not return. read more

We started going to Beefs when they first opened. Forever ago. We went all the time. Haven't been there for years. Don't even know why lol Popped in our heads today and had to go. The O'Brady burger was always SO good. Had to go get one. We were shocked when it was really hot that busy on a Friday night. But it did not disappoint. The service was great. The atmosphere was great. The food was great. The menu is huge. Lots of drinks to choose from. Alcohol and non-alcohol. I started with a peach strawberry spiked lemonade. It was delicious. Love that they added strawberry purée. We all got the O'Brady burger. It did not disappoint. Still amazing as ever. It's so unique. The onion rings were on point. The dipping sauce they give you to go with them is delicious. It had a kick but not too much. Ugh. I am so full. We will definitely be putting it back into our rotation. read more

The service was great. Rachel was new but did an amazing job. The food wasn't as good as I remember it being in the past. It's been a few years since I've been. Our server accidentally rang in an order of corn on our check that we did not order when I said something to her she said she works say something to the manager Brooklyn.. The manager Brooklyn said that was to pay for the substitution for my salad. Now when they brought out our food to us they tried to give us a side of corn. I told them we didn't order a side of corn. So they took it back to the kitchen with them. When I explained to Rachel I didn't order a side of corn and I didn't get the corn I sent it back because I didn't order it she said her manager Brooklyn said it's for the corn on my salad. I told her I wasn't paying $4 for a handful of corn on my salad when I'm clearly being charged for a side of corn. Rachel apologized and said she would get her manager Brooklyn, perfect. 10 minutes go by Rachel comes back to the table and asked if Brooklyn has been out yet. Nope. She went back to the kitchen again to get her and once again 5-10 minutes go by and rachel comes back still no Brooklyn, by then we have given up on the manager who is clearly worthless as a manager and afraid to face her customers when she's in the wrong. We paid our bill tipped Rachel and I wished her good luck and we left. We absolutely will never be back. I do wish our Rachel the best of luck. She was a very nice lady. We had the steak and nachos with queso and fried mozzarella. The food was all very good but the steak is tiny. Not worth the price. The service was great. Very friendly and attentive but not overbearing. They have great happy hour deals. And if you check in on Yelp you get a free appetizer! The ambiance is pub-like casual with plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sports. We will go back. read more

Husband and I ordered delivery service. We chose wings, salad, fries and chips-n-salsa. Everything was pretty subpar. Not enough sauce on my husband's boneless wings, and not enough dry rub/flavoring on my wings. The salad was supposed to be a Caesar, and it barely qualified as one. Very dinky, virtually no toppings and the dressing was bad. The fries tasted old and were very limp. The chips-n-salsa was basic, boring and not enough salsa. Service was awesome! Ally let us pick where to sit. I asked fir the warmest seat available. She quickly took our drink order - later refilling us as needed. Everyone ordered for their $10 menu. For $10 my son received a ful plate of chicken fingers, fried shrimp and french fries. Hubs ordered the grilled white rice with a side of rice and broccoli. It looked really good! I ordered the buffalo chicken salad. Delicious! The buffalo was a mild - I was hoping fir a kick, but still good! We have been to Beef O'Brady's a handful of times. Their food is good. Terrible customer service. Went in at 7pm for dinner & 45 minutes later no one had taken our order! The manager was made aware of our situation by another employee & we were told he/she would come take our food order soon. That never happened so we decided to leave & go get food elsewhere. Stopped in for lunch today and service was 10/10!! Tiffany was very knowledgeable about the menu and quick to get drinks and food served. She made us feel like top priority even though the restaurant was full. Upon cashing out I accidentally gave a "thumbs down" to the service but wanted to rectify this by giving her a 5 star service rating; she truly made our experience outstanding and my family will be back again soon! read more

I'm reading the reviews of Beef O'Brady's and going to assume that the many of us that have had great experiences don't tend to take time to comment. We used to live within walking distance of Beef O'Bradys and met many new friends there- friends we still see to this day. We recently went back to meet up with all the neighbors and we had great food, service and friendly visits from the owner and staff that recognized the group. We still buy our wings every Michigan Game Day from Beef. They are delicious. We had a great time catching up...Beef is a neighborhood place...check it out! read more

A good place for dinner. The menu was extensive with a variety of choices. They also had some good special offers. My daughter and her husband ordered the wings. They both liked them. I got the Amarillo Firecracker burger with out a bun and onion rings, they were perfect. The waiter was good and the service overall was excellent. It was a bit too noisy, but it was also packed! Our group of five had a great experience. Our waitress, Jazlyn, was new but gave us excellent service like a seasoned veteran of the restaurant. We all ordered different items and sampled each other's dishes. I did the Friday fish special and the cod was fried to perfection. My husband does not typically like onion rings but thought they were great and we all loved the spicy dipping sauce. It's probably strange to give a review on something so simple as corn dogs but they were unreal with a highly flavored hot dog, best ever! The salads were fresh and bright, great bleu cheese dressing! The boneless wings were crispy despite the fact they were sauced. Kudos again to the cook on the fryer. read more

Although the bar and wait staff are top-notch, The restaurant owner likes to over charge and cut corners. No drink/alcohol prices in menu, allows greedy owner to determine what you will pay based upon his perception of you. The food is also lacking, greasy and obviously not fresh. Service - had to wait almost 10 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant cause no hostess was at the door. Food- We ordered 2 burgers order came out good however, if you want mayo this location charges you for it (which is ridiculous). Fries are good. Additionally ordered chicken bowl it was ok, they put so much spice that you couldn't taste any flavor, rice seemed to be white not seasoned. Bang bang shrimp tacos were ok. They have upgraded their staff and menu to awesomeness. Its hard finding a restaurant that has an outdoor patio that allows pups and has awesome food and service. We get the burger for the boys. Big portions, decent price. Chips and salsa, cold beers and good maggies! Always helpful if you have a favorite on tv they will put it on for you. Clean restaurant and NO sticky tables!! A big plus for me. The chicken fingers are huge for the kiddos and fries , drink and a treat. Love it. I get the steak tacos, or steak sandwich or the fish and chips are always a hit. I have been to this restaurant 3 times. the first two times we waited more then 15 minutes just to get waited on for our food order. we left without ordering. Today, I thought that I would order some food online for pickup and assumed they couldn't screw that up. I walked in and went up to the greeter station just inside the door. Nobody was there but a lady yelled something from the bar tables. I answered that I placed an order online. instead of coming to me she yelled "come here". She asked if I wanted to order something and I told her I had placed the order online. She asked for my name and then sat there for a minute or two. She then went to the kitchen and told workers my name. There was confusion. They told me my order was delayed because of a water problem. A few grungy dressed kitchen guys walked out of the kitchen and looked at me. I knew at that point that I wasn't getting my order anytime soon. And I was concerned about the cleanliness of my food. I have returned almost a year after my first visit. This time we had a nice booth inside. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately I don't know his name to give kudos but my receipt said under server name PM T and it was table 33. Again I ordered a cheeseburger with pepper jack and onion rings. Again so much flavor and juicy but not messy. I think they use a mixture of different meat not just ground beef. Best burger ever The beer battered onion rings were hot and crispy. Saw this place as I drove past. Went online and saw they have a Wednesday Wing night. I ordered traditional wings and some fries with queso. The wings were perfectly cooked and the Buffalo sauce was tasty as well. The queso was also pretty tasty. I wish had a little more spice, but it was better than some I have had. The food there is really bad. I had the grilled chicken breasts with mashed potatoes and broccoli and the chicken was inedible. It tasted funny, it had a weird texture, and was tough. I ended up eating only half of one and didn't even eat the other one (and they were small to begin with). The mashed potatoes you could tell were instant and had no flavor. The only thing that tasted good was the broccoli. My spouse's grilled shrimp were good and his basket of fries were good but that was about it that tasted good. Our server was nice but he forgot to give us silverware and we had to ask someone else who worked there for silverware. I told my spouse there was a reason why hardly anyone was in there for lunch and we found out why-the awful food. Maybe some of their other food tastes okay but mine definitely was not. I'd seen this chain before, in the wilds of Indiana. I was not at all tempted to stop in- it seemed like a typical roadside chain, and in spite of my love for beef the name simply turned me off. However, I noticed that there is one along the route between my doctor's office and a park where I ride my bike, so I swung by. This location is hidden. The mall it is in is kinda out of the way, and Beef O'Brady's is tucked away in the back, so you'll have to search for it. It's a pretty standard sports bar. Kinda like BW3 or Applebee's, but not as "fancy." Lots of screens, lots of booths, not much else going on. Service was decent- the server was great, but they were understaffed so he was overwhelmed. I had the garlic beef sandwich, with onion ring upgrade. It was a solid meal. The beef was very good, as one would hope. The bread and cheese were good, and it combined into a good sandwich. The onion rings were very good- fresh, crispy, but not overcooked. The menu is pretty typical of this kind of place: a mishmash of bar food and trendy items. Wings, burgers, salads, wraps, etc. Something for everyone, and fairly family friendly for a sports bar. If this were in my neighborhood, I'd stop in once in a while. It's good, but not really worth searching out. Prices are reasonable and they have great lunch specials. read more

We stopped here based on a recommendation of a friend. The restaurant was pretty much empty when we arrived, but we still had to wait to be seated. The waitress was very nice, but the service was a bit lacking. We started getting a bit frustrated but the food more than made up for the wait!! We ordered the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer. They were huge shrimp and were very tasty. I ordered the trio fajitas and holy smokes. There is no word to describe the tastiness of those fajitas. They were so filling that I wasn't able to eat my last tortilla, which I hated to leave. My hubby ordered the bacon burger and said it was the best tasting burger he's ever had. We were already deciding when to come back as we were finishing our food. And although service wasn't amazing, the waitresses carry little devices with them that allows them to place your order as you say it and also pay for your meal right away. Very convenient!!!! I placed an order for pick up and was told 30 minutes. When I showed up 30 minutes later, I was told another 15 minutes. Came back in 15 minutes later and it was explained the I would be a few minutes longer. When I received my food, the order was wrong, incomplete and cold. I ordered takeout , I paid, they told me to sit up front. I sat and waited while everyone watched as they walked by. Finally I had enough and went to check and they said oh the ticket didn't print. I went to this place as recommended be a different place. What a horrible experience. I just wanted to have a Coke and wings and watch my team play on a Sunday. I sat for over twenty minutes with no service. They weren't busy. I was finally asked for an order. I kindly told the server that I was leaving and gently touched her shoulder to tell her I was fine. I was then verbally abused by a patron telling me that she was pregnant. I'm a kind hearted person just looking to watch my team. Not be attached by a stupid patron. Went to Beef's to have dinner for my daughters birthday and it was great! Our server appeared to be new but what he lacked in knowledge he made up in effort and pleasantness. We ordered wing baskets and a combo appetizer. Everything was hot and delicious and the wings had a crazy amount of sauce on them which made them yummy. Price was at the upper end but for the amount of food we got it was worth it. They are taking social distancing seriously if that's a concern for you. read more
