Ok... first of all I want to acknowledge this is Chili's and last time I ate at one it was in the Minneapolis airport 10 or more years ago. My expectations were low but my son has visited this location twice and loves it. I decided to give it a try. I was surprised just how open and welcoming and energetic the restaurant was. The entire space is an open floor plan more or less, however it reflects then current styles. They used to be know for their baby back ribs. They dont advertise that as much, but they still have them. Their current tv ad focuses more on marketing the three for me: drink, appetizer and entree... the three fors are any soda, any side and then you pick from a small list of a few of their options. Ie: a few cheeseburgers are listed, chicken sandwich and something else. There there are three price points too, starting at 10.99. We stayed in the 10.99 category Both choosing the QP burger (quarter pounder) burger- which is more than an quarter pound, we ordered salads as iur side (small but good) and subbed our fries for fresh veggies... he chose broccoli, I asparagus. Non additional cost. The veggie portion was huge. They were fresh. Delicious. The burgers were very good! A little well done but very flavorful. Our server was Jessica. She was excellent. Our waitress, Shay, was nothing short of excellent. Quick service, on the refill before being asked, checking if the food was good (excellent food) and all with a cheerful, infectious attitude. Give this girl a raise! However, I am hesitant to go to this delicious place because of the noise; music is cranked to the max and with no ceiling or "soft" interior, it is almost impossible to enjoy the meal and still talk to the people we were with. Nothing made me happier than knowing that a location had been made available to me closer to home. The service has been wonderful, as they seem to place priority on that, which is great. I constantly purchase gift cards from them, especially at this time of year to enjoy those free bonus cards because I order a lot whenever I visit. My meal of choice is the Smokehouse combo, which has changed a bit over time, but it is still the best. My only concern is how the portions have reduced dramatically over time. I'm surprised to see the low ratings as my friends and I just went and we had an amazing experience. The restaurant is spotless, modern, and had a great energy. We only had to wait around 15 minutes to get seated. The service was great and our waiter did an amazing job despite the busy restaurant. Our food was delicious! Usually our experience here is great. Our last experience was underwhelming. The seating area we were given had a booth type seat and a chair. There was a hole in the booth seat that was covered by a white towel and duck tape. When asked to sit somewhere else we were told there was no where else to sit. I didn't want to sit directly on the towel so I sat to the side. The bench was sunken in so I was very low making it difficult to be at a proper height for the table. read more
