I want to start this review by mentioning that I have been to this specific location multiple times, with both big and small groups, and haven't had too much of an issue. Overall, this place is a solid 3.5, but my most recent experience verged on being 2 stars. On 11/19/15, I was here with a big group of 15 total people. We had called to make prior reservations so they could be prepared for us. This was not the first time that I've been here with this large group. Service started out great. Our two servers were super pleasant. Everyone got their orders in for appetizers and meals, then we waited. And waited. And waited. It took them so long to get out our 4 appetizers that we all started to believe that they forgot about them! I didn't have any complaints about my fried cheddar bites, but a couple at my table had complaints about their fried pickles. They were cooked much lighter than they should have been and many of them were clumped together. Our entrees came out very soon after, but thankfully we had all devoured our appetizers from having to wait so long for them! I very much enjoyed my meal. My steak was decent, but nothing spectacular. My father also got a steak, and I was appalled to see the absolutely giant chunk of broccoli that was tossed on his plate. The quality control seemed to be greatly lacking. After the entrees were served, the quality of our service dropped severely. The elderly people I was with needed help with the self checkout. A few of the people were paying in cash and needed a paper check. We had two servers and neither of them could get us paper checks within a timely manner. I had to flag down one of our servers and demand that they get us checks so we could leave. Like I said, I've been here before with this large group. My previous experiences were pretty good considering the size of our group, but they really dropped the ball this evening. read more

This is the best Chili's! They have the best staff, and I've never had to wait long. The food is as expected from a Chili's, and is always timely and hot. It's located just outside Carlisle, which makes it easier to get into. read more

First off, if I could give negative stars, I would. Ordered a large fajita tray online and when we went to pick it up we were told "we don't do those today" by an extremely rude manager. They took our $105 though and we are still waiting for a refund! We have lived in Carlisle for 14 years and have supported Chili's since they've been here... never again will we go there. read more

Had a horrible time here just the other day. To start the waiter brought the meal out and my wife's broccoli was still in a baggie which he never took it out from. My son's grilled cheese was burnt. I ordered a turkey burger with no tomatoe , egg and bacon on top. It came out a beef burger with no egg and tomato then all of us ran out of drinks and the waited walked by numerous times and never asked for refills. Instead him and the Mgr though it was more important to watch TV. The place wasn't even close to busy either. Very disappointed read more

Placed an order for pick up and everything was a disaster. After my food was ready and after I showed up I still spent a good 15 minutes waiting for the associate to help me. She got distracted all the time, couldn't find anything including silverware, bottle of water, my copy of the receipt. Long story short my transaction ended when she (and I kid you not) picked up the trash can, put it on the counter next to all the to go orders and began rooting through it with both hands to find my receipt. Something about that felt just a tad unsanitary. I will never be back here. read more

Food was very good however service could be better. Server walked by my table twice,saw me and took a min to come over. Server also was very confused by my order. I had to explain what I ordered 2 times. Server was also a bit rude. Instead of asking if I wanted more water she just shook the pitcher and didn't say anything. My favourite thing about this restaurant was the automated checkout with an e-mailed receipt - great idea! I got the fajitas which came out really great, the meat, onions and peppers were very tasty. It only came with 3 wraps though - should have had 4. Refills were very quick, barely got to the bottom of my glass. Overall very satisfied. read more

I am normally a fan of the Carlisle Chili's, but tonight between not getting my food until about 10minutes after the rest of my party, and my party waiting for different parts of their meals. At the end I asked my server 3 times for a container to take my soup home in I finally got it. yes we had a large party but it seemed very disorganized, we have been there several times without a problem. read more

Order takeout. Got the two for $22. My wife's grilled chicken margarita was poor quality. The chicken was pink and fatty. We've gone to this restaurant many times over the years and unfortunately it seems like the quality has declined. read more

I was at the Chili's in Carlisle on 5/31/2014 and the service and food was excellent! When I left, I realized that I had left my Ray Ban sunglasses at the restaurant. I live out of town, so I called the restaurant and spoke with Hayley, and she promised to mail me my sunglasses to my home. After a few days had passed, I called the restaurant and Hayley said she had to go to Wal-Mart to get packing material for proper shipping of my sunglasses. A few days later my sunglasses arrived. Hayley followed through as she promised and there was no charge for this service. I was very impressed with the restaurant, but even more impressed with Hayley's assistance. Tried to have dinner here tonight. Restaurant was fairly busy but plenty of waitstaff working. We were initially sat at a booth right next to the kitchen but because the noise - dishes clanking and staff yelling- was so loud that we nicely asked to be moved, which the young man doing the seating graciously did. We then sat at our table for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged by a single wait person. So we are now sitting at Red Robin eating burgers. I eat here about once a week. Usually car side to go. The food is usually good but sometimes cold when I get it home but that happens with car side. Only once my food was not done well but they were very accommodating. The last big snow we went in and they were the only place open. We got our food to go and the manager not only was clearing the parking lot but he and one cook were running the entire place themselves. They did a great job and took good care of us. In general I do not think I have ever really had a good experience at a Chili's. I recently did a take out order and again not a good experience. I ordered a drink and extra bacon (added up to about 3.00) both were not given to me. I should've caught the drink, but I was rushed out of the to-go area before I noticed. Boo hiss to Chili's in Carlisle, PA...after arriving around 4:30 p.m. today, we were seated for over 10 minutes with no one stopping at our table. We then overheard the hostess telling people who were there before us they'd be waited on "eventually" and they only had 2 servers. The restaurant was about half-full. No thanks. We went elsewhere. I looked for the hostess or a manager on the way out and none could be found. I got home and tried to call in to speak with the manager and no one answered the phone. We are regular Chili's customers (at least once a month) at this location, but today's experience might just change that. read more

Dry and tough ribs, horrible service, overpriced, PLEASE avoid this place at all cost. Like the previous reviewer we sat about 20 minutes our trip before someone came over and there was only 3 other tables with diners in them at that time. The food tasted like crap, my ribs were tough, my fiance and daughters chicken crispers/strips or whatever they call them were overcooked and cold. The food and service are consistently good at this location. There is a female bartender, however, that has a megaphone voice and the smarmy charm of that Chotchkie's waiter from Office Space (times five). If the management could reel that in a bit, this place would be five stars. read more

I love the food at Chili's! My favorite is the chips and salsa appetizer. You get unlimited house made chips and salsa, so good. I've dined at this specific location twice and both experiences were great. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Ended up not liking the drink I had ordered and received a different drink at no cost to me. Great calm atmosphere with great food to accompany it. read more

My wifes favorite place to eat. Great staff, and always pleasant. We have two young boys, and they can be trying at times. These folks take it all in stride. Definitely a family place, which works well for us. read more
