Well for a fast food joint, this place is pretty good! Been here with many different groups of all ages and everyone is always pleased with their meals. The burgers are awesome and the salads are scrumptious! Don't forgot order a frozen margarita! Blended perfectly and hits the spot! Bottomless Chips and guacamole are recommended and any of the yummy appetizers like the quesadillas! One thing, staff is young and service isn't always the best. She was no where to be found. So another kind waitress helps us out and gets me the ranch, so I'm eating . Blah blah blah . I went to go grab one quesadilla from my plate and there was hair on it. it was dark brown - blackish. And mind you I have very light brown hair. So we tell the manger and under the light it looks blonde . he says " well I don't have anyone who works here with blonde hair " I said " it's not blonde it's dark brown with white " and he said do you wanna keep it or do you want a new quesadilla. It's a chilis so you have a good idea of what you're getting into. This location is medium sized has a nice bar area and the tvs set up around like you expect. My parents and I took advantage of the 2 for 20 and the 3 for me for $10. Very good value for what we got. Vanessa was very sweet! Every time she came to the table she had a smile and a nice personality. She was very kind to take my food off our bill when there was a little mix up in the order. I insisted I was fine, chicken fajitas are just as good as pork fajitas, but she still took care of us. It wasn't necessary and that just furthers how sweet she is. Love the chips and guacamole. It was nice and fresh and tasted so good. My dads burger was good and the three of us loved the molten lava cake we shared. We don't live in the area so chances are we won't be back to this location. Simply put, it's Chili's. What that means is a run of the mill dining experience that you can get from an Applebees or TGI Fridays. This Chili's however has very good staff. Lets start with the basics, parking lot is huge, place is cool looking and clean. Host staff is friendly and usually pretty quick. They have pagers which is a plus. Host and wait staff is very friendly, i rarely had issues with seating or getting served. A rather noisy environment, also the brown concrete floors take away from the "cozy" factor. The food: it is Ok for what it is, American style Mexican food. Burgers are big and greasy (good for some people bad for others). Triple Dipper Appetizer is good with wings, Mexican egg rolls and Ckn crisper. However, i noticed the portions on things have shrunk over the few years have been going and prices are rising. This was a pathetic experience. I'm actually shocked that this could be an operating chain restaurant. Let's face it, no one goes to a Chili's expecting anything close to real dining, but even as fast food, it came up painfully shy. Waited to be seated late afternoon on a Sunday., despite scores of empty tables. The greeter was rushing around attempting to bus tables. We tried three times unsuccessfully, to flag down a waitress for drinks and order. I'm quite sure had we not been proactive, we would have grown old and taken root in that booth. We finally got the attention of one waitress, who happily took our order, even though it wasn't her area. She also saw to it to get us our beers, after a good fifteen minutes had elapsed. The free chips and salsa never arrived. The craft beers, thankfully, were from a respected brewery, although one pour was a good inch and a half below the other, both shy of a full pint. The food, in a nutshell, was unpalatable, a soggy, disgusting mess. The chicken enchiladas were slathered in something white and gelatinous I could guess at to be either some sort of hollandaise sauce, or a faux cheese product, with an odd chemical aftertaste. The salt content was overwhelming. My friend's "fajitas" were ice cold and the steak was extremely overdone, and salted beyond belief. The accompanying tortillas were obviously microwaved to the consistency of leather. You could not even fold them around the mixed grill items. This location of Chili's has been here for a long time. Long enough to undergo a revamping of the previous cheesy decor. Although attention was paid to the exterior, and most of the interior, the BATHROOM was never touched. It still exhibits the look, and feel of the pre-makeover Chili's. It's STILL FILTHY as ever, RUNDOWN, and quite honestly made me lose my appetite. The sign of ANY good restaurant no matter it's price range is a CLEAN bathroom. If they allow their bathroom to be so gross, what's going on in the kitchen? Shortly after the remodel, the staff was present and attentive. When we went there this evening, we stood at the front and experienced a few eye rolls from a waitress that happened to see us. She went in the back with a sour puss only to exit and greet us with a phony "Hi Welcome to Chili's" 5 minutes later. She sat us and then another waitress took our order. The Manager is a bit STIFF and pretentious. She delivers the food to the tables, which is a nice touch, but is either oblivious as to what is going on here, or doesn't really care as long as she gets paid for being there. As I'm typing this my stomach isn't fairing well. Someone has dropped the ball at this particular location. Booths aren't cleaned on a continuous basis, and it shows. We witnessed an older waitress who should know better, use the same dirty rag and spray bottle to wipe down tables and benches. GROSS!!! So basically anything that was on a bench (people's bums, a child in a diaper, an elderly persons diaper covered bum, etc. is now on the very place you serve people food and beverages? Lived in Somers for two year and never really stopped in at this restaurant, I wish I would have kept that habit. Drink was more for a grandmother, weak would be the word I'd use if I tasted any vodka. I've had Tito's it's smooth but not imaginary. Food took forever, finally came and it was cold. The skillet that was "very hot! Be careful" was barely warm. My rice bowl was an ice bowl and so was my wife's. My kids Mac n Cheese has Mac n cheese crust on it. I sent mine back, and it came as everyone else was ready for desert. And just to show I'm not being a jerk, it was 26 mins later. I've been a customer here for 20 years and I've finally had enough.. this place has been going downhill for the last 5 years... I visit 20 times a year and at least 15 of those 20 times the service is slow and dishes turn up late or cold or both .. tonight was a case in point the appetizers didn't turn up before the meal and that included chips and salsa! (20 minute wait).. the managers response was to remove them from the bill.. no other recompense was offered..for me its the final straw... I came on a Friday night (10/18) and sat at the bar and got horrible service. First the bar wasn't that busy (two bartenders were working) and we didn't get a hi for the first 15 minutes and then I ordered two beers and got menus immediately then 30 minutes went by until a bartender saw us wave them down to finally order our appetizer and meals. After that no one came to check if everything was ok. The shrimp tacos I order were very cold. We saw the manager walking around but he didn't talk to anyone. We proceed to wait outside on the bench with another family who got here the same time as we did and watched multiple people leave the restaurant with several tables opened and cleaned and did not get seated till we came in and said something. People who came right after us were being seated with no wait. Awful service and I'm pretty disappointed. Walked in behind a party of 3, a woman and two young teens. She was complaining about where they were going to seat her and she made a big deal of it for a good 5 minutes. She wanted to sit in the bar section because she claimed she would get served faster over there but there were no booths available at the moment, only high tops. She then claimed that she can't sit there and wanted a booth. I don't know what she was expecting honestly, to kick someone out of their booth in the middle of the meal? Who knows? As we're trying to patiently wait for this issue to be solved a flood of people were walking in as the staff was trying to accommodate this ONE woman. Now I understand that you want to be known for good customer service but a couple of things could have been done. 1) you could have seated me and my boyfriend while trying to figure things out with this irrational woman and 2) calmly explain to the woman that you're now getting busy. After this woman finally got what she wanted the staff started seating other people before my boyfriend and I....including another party of 2. AFTER TWO PEOPLE TOLD US WE WERE NEXT. When the staff came over and seated another party of 2 before us my boyfriend and I walked out. If they weren't so busy pleasing that other woman none of this would have happened. This chilis is normally good but I don't know what happened because I went in during Labor Day weekend and I ordered a sampler and my date ordered the fajita trio. The fajita came out cold and had to be sent back to be warmed up and the bread on my sliders was stale. My date complained about the shrimp being over cooked and the steak as well was over cooked the rice had texture as if it were reheated multiple times. The server never came back to give me service therefore I wasn't able to ask for another drink until I was done with my entre I was thirsty the whole duration of my meal, my server only checked up on me at the very end. I'm done with this place. After being a regular customer for about 4 years, this place has gradually turned into an absolute disaster of a restaurant. The new norm is the host shooting the shit to a server while you stand and wait for them to notice you. Then you have to wait for the HOST to go clean a table for you, even though the place is 1/3rd full. Expect to sit there for about 10 minutes to get a drink ordered while you have to sit and watch your server shooting the shit with his/her buddies by the kitchen. Draft beer is nearly always served flat in a dirty glass, order a tall draft and it comes 3/4 full. Order BBQ and it is ALWAYS cold!!! Bathrooms are filthy and slippy AF!! It's time to clean house in this place and find some adults to take care of your customers. read more
