Recently spending a lot of time in Akron for work. Ate here once and okay experience. Was in a rush last week after work and tried again but didn't have a good experience. Ordered chicken tacos. Took a long time to arrive and they were cold with what looked like a hair in them. Was turned off so just ordered soup and left. Left a review as above but no one reached out to me. Won't be going back there. Giving 3 stars only because the server was very apologetic and helpful. Honestly should be lower. Note: I am not leaving this review because I want someone to reach out to me and give me free food. I don't want that. The service is terrible. Ran out of a drink. Menu doesn't match menu online. Terrible serving time. Homeless man shooting himself up with heroin in the bathroom. To be fair, my Presidente Margarita was great as normal Which is the only reason I gave it a 1+ rating.I would've given gem a 1/2 if I could've given the fact that my husband's food was fair 1+ at best. I wouldn't feed it to my DOGS!!!! I told the waitress the manager and they wouldn't take one dollar off of our bill and it was a $21.49 entrée!!! , Now I know it was a Ribeye and Chilis is not a really a steak place but the steak was 1/8" thick served w/ an ineible garlic sauce, a with very dry broccoli and a "so-called" loaded mashed potatoes that also tasted horrible. Altogether, the worst meal I've ever had in my life!! Even my husband, who likes anything, agreed, thst it was the worst meal he ever had the and BU far the worst streak he had EVER HAD IN HIS LIFE!! I have always loved Chilis, but frankly I will not go back to Chili's again EVER !!! Took my mom here for her birthday and omg our waiter was the best. He kept us laughing and helped us to choose the best meals, and did i forget to mention the drinks we got were awesome. This place is so nasty. Saw a waiter dig through someone's taco with their bare hands. No gloves. Ordered food to go & it was ice cold as well incorrect. I got 4 nachos when there's more in an order. I have been here several times and have not been disappointed. I love the chicken enchilada soup, it is hearty and filling without being overly heavy. Right amount of chicken and cheese too. My son loves the ribs....kinda what they are known for. I haven't had them myself but he says they are tender and juicy. Service has been consistently good/attentive. Yesterday the server was new and in training. I was impressed by the trainer, she was present without that awkward over the shoulder thing that makes everyone including the customer uncomfortable. They have great lunch specials and curbside pickup which is really convenient when grabbing lunch during the work week. Friendly's, please, please go and burn to the ground. Chili's is the equivalent of a tax-dodger among convicted murderers. The place is still a chain and it's food is nothing special, but at least it's not murdering food like the other places. Pretty empty on a Tuesday after 9pm as expected. Did not expect an extra-long wait for two burgers. Ordered one cooked medium- it was well-done without any trace of pink. Servers didn't check on us. One of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. We waited 40 minutes for a table - which is not unusual for a Saturday night. We were eventually sat at a table that had been clean and available the entire time we were waiting. The bar was ridiculously slow. It took 20 minutes to receive our first drinks, and equally long thereafter. But the real kicker came when we had to wait two hours for our meal. And we had a ten year old and a five year old with us who were very hungry. The food was ok - my salad was soggy and my mother-in-law's sliders were soaked with a mystery sauce that made the bottom buns stick to the plate. My 5-year-old still had to wait on his food even after our meals were brought out. It took about another five minutes to bring his dinner, which to an adult may be ok, but to a little kid that has been waiting patiently all night to eat, it was agony. Our server was in training so I by no means fault her. We ended up receiving half off our dinner and they did bring dessert for the kids. However, we weren't the only ones experiencing problems. Every table in our section and the section behind us had to wait over an hour for their food. There were many, many unhappy and frustrated families at Chili's last night. I overheard a server complaining to another server that they couldn't believe the poor quality of food coming out of the kitchen and were having to send many items back. The manager was very busy last night comping every table. We've always enjoyed Chili's and were disheartened by our dining experience. It's safe to say that we won't be back. read more

Seating - Took me at first to an over-sized table, then told me it was not clean yet. I waited for five minutes before they cleaned off a different table and took me over to it. Seats were severely bowed in from over use. Cleanliness - Tables had a slight film on them from most likely a dirty rag, floor was dirty. Beverages - There were dark particles in some of the Ice cubes of my water. They brought me a new glass (plastic mug) but the mug wasn't very clean on the outside. Rum and coke was a good mix, but overpriced. Food - The food tasted very good, but the presentation was horrible. Half of my pizza looked different from the other half. The other person I ate with ordered a pick three combo in which the tacos looked like the just tossed the ingredients on top of a tortilla. There was cheese and other food remnants around the plate instead of making it look clean. The means/rice/burrito platter had been mushed together and sloppily placed on the plate. Overall - The taste of the food was the only redeeming quality of this location. Presentation and cleanliness were severely lacking. Visited the Montrose Chili's Friday evening around 6:30. Server was outstanding. I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas with the beans and rice. The normal price for fajitas was $12.49. However, if you choose steak or shrimp one dollar is added. Also, the beans and rice adds a one dollar charge as well. So, I am paying $14.49. I would not be upset with the extra charges if the food was adequate. It wasn't. The rice was undercooked. There were only four small pieces of steak and four small pieces of chicken. There was only a slight amount of sour cream, shredded cheese and about a pinch of tomatoes to add to the self made fajitas. I will not be returning. read more

seriously we love chilies but what is really going on there. we ordered 3 appetizers and when the big mouth bits came out we had asked they didn't have ranch or onions 3 times we made sure to tell her they came out with both, we understand mistakes happened so we asked to get them replaced 32 mins later we got 2 burgers on a bun no cheese no bacon when we asked yet again for it to be fixed she said well theyre busy do you want me to bring you a slice of cheese after we waited another 10 minutes for her to come back. i said no i want them hot can you remake them she said they're to backed up and she could bring the cheese. then we got our meal and my husband was missing his ribs and my daughter didn't get her salad so we all wait to start eating 28 mins later she come back and says so am i putting these in boxes for you we asked about the missing items and she said oh i neber put that it my bad do you want boxes. when we said no she said ok I'll bring you the check. neither one of us had eaten my daughter ate her french fries that's it. she said I'll come back with my manager. which never happen and all they did was take off the burger bites still chargers us for the ribs and the salad I'm 7 months pregnant and i just don't understand at all. read more

I love the Montrose Chili's! Great atmosphere, great specials, TONS of food for a great price! Very attentive service, and they are sooooo great for families with children! We have taken our 3 kids under 6 there several times, and it is about the only restaurant that we WILL take them to, since the seats are roomy, the servers are kind and patient, and it has a cozy feel since the dining room is broken up into sections. This is important because my one son has autism, and it can be overwhelming for him at say, Red Lobster. Their children's portions are out of this world, and cost about the same as a happy meal!
