I'll preface this by saying that if you ask an Italian to critique an Italian restaurant for example, the restaurant would be held to a higher standard. Portions are generous and ingredients are fresh. Won ton soup: thick doughy won tons with minimal filling. Soup was flavorful and a little on the peppery side. Scallops and snow peas: scallops are sliced to appear to have more than there actually is. Combination chow fun: noodles are pad thai noodles. Functionally accomplishes the purpose. All in all, flavors are lacking. Service is prompt and very friendly. Service fee for credit card payment will be passed onto you. It will show as a separate "sales tax" in addition to your total. I'm unlikely to return but this is still good value.

Came here for a late lunch with some friends while in Windsor. It was a place that friends had been to before and this was my first time. Their menu is filled with a good amount of choices. We all ordered something different and I tried it all. The food seemed fresh but, nothing stood out-- a little chili paste helped with giving the food that extra kick I was looking for.

Great Chinese food. All the meat is decent quality and not over cooked. Recommend the combination lo mein.

Great food, reasonable prices. We've ordered to go from here twice in the last month and both times have been great!

They were pretty good the first time I visited 4 years ago but have progressively gotten pretty bad since. We done trying this place.

Have eaten here many times. Probably won't again. It was not good tonight. One dish was not even edible. Very disappointed.

We were seated immediately and given menus. Our waiter returned about 10 minutes later with water and to take our order. Carry out is always busy so yeah it took a little while to get our food. Food never disappoints but service tonight was not up to what it has been. Once our food was served no one checked back to see if it was ok, our water was never replenished and at the end of the meal we had to flag down a waiter to get a check and a to go box. We had a gift certificate and our waiter was unsure how to process it. Another wait time ensued. In the past on a Friday night there have been 2-3 wait staff in the floor. Yes, it's a small restaurant but when it's busy they need the extra help. I'll keep coming back because I love their food but the service has to step it up. Train the servers on how to check on tables, refill water and be present when the table is nearing the end of their meal. When serving another table don't ignore the tables already served and right next to where you are standing.

It's just not the "most-amazing-tell-all-your-friends-about-it and-go-right-now" restaurant. (And I didn't notice any hippie-smell like the first reviewer...maybe it's all gone now...lol) I went twice last week, if that does anything for you. The inside has been redone, it is much nicer than the old restaurant used to be and the décor is pretty. They have a fairy diverse menu with more than just the same seven "Chinese" food dishes some restaurants have. (They even have curry) One dish I was very happy with was the Strawberry Chicken. I was nervous about it because I have never once thought of mixing strawberries and chicken, but lo-and-behold...yum! Their egg drop soup is good, their spring rolls are good. Their crab cheese wontons looked good (handmade?), but I'm not a fan of crab or cream cheese so I didn't try them. You can get a full meal (entrée, egg roll, wontons, and rice) for about $10, give or take a few bucks depending on what you get. And their presentation is good. Square plates with food PLACED on them to look appetizing. (How often have you gone to other Asian food restaurants and you feel like your old nemesis lunch lady slopped it on your tray with an ice cream scoop? They do it right here.) Servings were also generous, which is good for a leftover-lover such as myself. So, all in all, the service was great, the food is good, the décor and cleanliness is good, and they deliver too. If you are in Windsor, and want Asian food this place will not steer to wrong. I just don't think it is head and shoulders above many other Asian restaurants, but that's just me talking. And I will be eating there again. :)

Since Hunan Taste has moved and changed its name, the Chinese restaurant by Ace sat vacant for a…read morewhile. Recently charged with picking up Chinese for Mom, I attempted to call this new restaurant using the menu that had just been mailed to her. The answering machine sounded like a cellphone, and didn't state what or where I was calling. Thinking that maybe the new menus had been misprinted (I've heard of worse marketing nightmares), I drove over to see if they were open. I walked in at about 11:50 am, to an empty restaurant that smelled like a "hippy" clothing store. Way too much patchouli incense. There is no way I could ever eat a meal there. Clothes shopping, yes, Digestion, no. The gentleman came around the corner, and I stated that I had tried to call and place an order, to which he told me they didn't open until 12:00. After they had printed and mailed the menus to all of Windsor, they decided to change the hours. I still think that a recorded message would have been nice. So, I said I'd be back, and the owner (?) said that he could take my order now. Knowing that my mom was jonesing for sweet and sour shrimp, I decided to give him a shot. I ran some errands and came back. I brought home the aforementioned shrimp, teriyaki chicken and an order egg drop soup (their lunch special only includes soup for dine in). Despite my trepidation, the S&S Shrimp met with Mom's approval. It was pretty good, and the teriyaki chicken about the same. The egg drop soup was very good, and the egg rolls in crispy rice paper had an OK flavor. All in all, a so-so take out experience. It isn't nearly as good as the old Hunan taste. Standard US Chinese food, OK prices. This is not your OMG Chinese restaurant experience, but it serves that special niche when the Chinese food urge hits.

I'm giving three stars because I know how damaging a one-star review can be for a small business,…read moreand I've had good meals here before. The noodle dishes at Beijing Noodle have been solid in the past. Unfortunately, the soups were really bad. My husband ordered the beef and broccoli soup and I ordered the wonton soup with noodles. Both broths were extremely watered down and completely lacked flavor. Mine tasted like pork water with seaweed. We kept taking a few bites hoping the flavor would show up, but it never did. Neither of us finished our bowls - we each had a small serving and threw the rest away. For about $40 for two soups and potato pancakes, it was a pretty disappointing meal. My takeaway: stick with the noodles here and skip the soup.

My friend comes in here a lot as he lives nearby, is Chinese, and knows the owner. We had tried a viral noodle spot in Denver the night before that was twice the price and half the flavor. Beijing noodle really hit the mark! There is a row of parking outside, and we had no problem finding a spot on a Saturday afternoon. We saw in a cozy booth, and the owner himself takes care of the customers. Everything feels so authentic. I started with a hot tea, which really hit the spot and the potato salad, which had the perfect amount of flavor, balance, and not too much soy sauce like in some places. We also tried the cabbage, the scallion pancake, the oil spill noodles, and the Henan gravy noodles. You really can't go wrong, they were some of the best I've ever had, my only desire was that they would put more meat on the noodle dishes. The tiny chunks were so scarce and left me wanting more in every bite. I would have also loved more scallions in the scallion pancake. But it was perfect to dip in the noodle oil and really soak up that flavor and juiciness. Everything was divine, the prices cannot be beat, the ambience feels clean and genuine, and there's nothing better than the feeling of supporting a local family business. I could also see that they have received many awards on recognitions from Yelp and other publications celebrating their food and longstanding presence in Colorado. Can't wait to come back, maybe next time I'll ask for double meat

The outside had a little bit of a crisp and the sauce was the perfect ratio of sweet and tangy. The pineapple was fresh and bursting with flavor. The hint of black tea towards the end was nice too. Service: Great! The food came out fast and our server was helpful in her recommendations. Atmosphere: It was surprisingly busy! Everything was clean and the light was bright. It was a big space filled with tables and people. Overall: I had a fun time here, an enjoyable experience! The food was a little on the pricier side, especially since I didn't feel it was "super extravagant" Chinese food. I would still come back here occasionally though!
