We're been going here for years, usually on a Friday night. Tonight was different for dinner and not in a good way. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived. We were seated immediately and given menus. Our waiter returned about 10 minutes later with water and to take our order. Carry out is always busy so yeah it took a little while to get our food. Food never disappoints but service tonight was not up to what it has been. Once our food was served no one checked back to see if it was ok, our water was never replenished and at the end of the meal we had to flag down a waiter to get a check and a to go box. We had a gift certificate and our waiter was unsure how to process it. Another wait time ensued. In the past on a Friday night there have been 2-3 wait staff in the floor. Yes, it's a small restaurant but when it's busy they need the extra help. I'll keep coming back because I love their food but the service has to step it up. Train the servers on how to check on tables, refill water and be present when the table is nearing the end of their meal. When serving another table don't ignore the tables already served and right next to where you are standing. read more

I had a late lunch here today with a friend. What prompted me to come here was the excellent dinner I had at the Greeley location. We were in time for the lunch menu and I will say from the get go that we were promptly seated, waited on and all our food outstanding. The lunch menu, although a bit abbreviated from the dinner menu, had many favorites to be found. The lunch special included an entree; choice of Jasmine, brown or fried rice; an egg roll and choice of a salad with ranch dressing or tom kha soup with chicken. My friend had the spicy basil with chicken, Jasmine rice and soup. I had their panang curry with chicken, fried rice and soup. The soup came out quickly as individual bowls and was a touch spicy, but fully flavorful all the same. The vegetable egg rolls came out piping hot, but were not even slightly greasy. Our server checked on us midway through our meal and I added a mango iced tea and mango with black sticky rice. I have had Thai all over the U.S., France, Germany and Italy and I have to say the food here is as good as any place I have ever eaten. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering how good the food tastes. I will definitely add this place to my list of best Thai restaurants in the Fort Collins area. Sala Thai is one of the best Thai spots I've found in Colorado. The service was great and the food was wonderful. Crab Rangoons. My sister argued that these are the best she's had. The food here is pretty dang good, but my primary complaint would be portion size. We have seen prices going up while the portion sizes have gotten even smaller than they were before! To-go orders are particularly meager. An order of Pad Thai from here is about half the size of what I've gotten from pretty much any and every other Thai restaurant I have ordered from here in Colorado and elsewhere. Again, the food is quite good, but it is getting tougher for me to justify spending dinner prices on a small-ish to go box that is maybe 2/3 filled. Hey, Windsor--you are stinkin' SO lucky to have this place in your humble town. This is authentic, DELICIOUS, Thai food. I sampled from my family the Tom Kha Bowl, Peanut Lover's with chicken, and Green Curry. All so good! I had the Avocado Curry. Wow! So smooth. A new experience for me. Really--you absolutely have to eat here. When I come back for a visit, this will be the first place that I eat at. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. After looking at the reviews, my hope was up to finding a great Thai place. But in my opinion, it was alright. The portions were quite small compared to any generic Thai dish you'd find in Colorado. We left rather still hungry. I got the Khao soi, and the crispy noodles on top looked pretty sad. The servers were inattentive and had to go up to the cashier to ask them for things. Best Thai food I have had in a long time. The Time Kha was excellent, probably the best I've ever had! They add sliced baby corn (cornlettes) which gives it an added texture and the chicken was seasoned nicely! After reading mostly good reviews for Sala Thai in Greeley we decided to order for take out. We ordered the yellow curry and egg rolls. The egg rolls were very flavorless so was the yellow curry. Tasted blend with thin curry sauce and no potatoes in sight. We also had a small portion of rice. We usually end up with leftovers whenever we order any kind of Asian food. This was unfortunately not the case this time. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very disappointed read more

I have come back here about 4 or 5 times now. I really like that this place makes gluten and lactose free options, as most people should. I usually order the "Cashew Chicken" (see my attached picture) to-go which comes in a plastic container along with a small carton of white rice. I have tried other chicken and veggie dishes here and I do approve of this place over-all. There is a small seating area inside with booths and some tables, if you want to sit down. The service is decent, as I am noticed and helped in a decent amount of time. The prices are on the higher side of average. So, over-all this place gets my approval. If I were to make any adjustments to anything, it would be to the portion size of the food and rice you get when ordering to-go. The cashew chicken meal always tastes good, and I eat all of it. If it wasn't for the small carton of rice, which I eat all of too, then I would still be hungry. I would add just a couple mouthfuls of both the cashew chicken meal and the rice, by putting more food in slightly bigger containers. This place would have 5 stars if they made these few adjustments. Apologies up front, this is going to be a rough review. I have spent a number of years traveling back/forth to SE Asia and specifically Thailand. I realize we're not in Thailand, but I do expect when the restaurant serves Thai food, it has a strong Thai influence. I ordered the pad Thai, fried rice and potstickers. The chicken pad Thai might be the most flavorless dish I've ever had here in the states. The chicken was dry and had absolutely no flavor. The dish itself was also rather flavorless. There's a lot of room for improvement here, so I hope this review can encourage some change. The fried rice was maybe half the size of a normal take out rice option. Visiting from San Francisco where great Asian food is plentiful! Found this little gem through Yelp and was not disappointed. The Panang curry with Tofu was delicious! Generous amount of tofu and vegetables in a perfectly spiced curry broth. I also appreciated the ease of ordering online- and that they allow the customer to choose the spice level. I recently visited Sala Thai in Windsor, as it's located between 2 of my jobs (I have no life). It's tucked away on the south side of Main St. , off of 12th St. and is not real visible from Main St. - I had to vector in from the east and almost went to a different Thai joint less than a block away. I appreciate the decor of the spot - dark wood and muted lighting make this a good spot for a first date (not that I'm having any luck there, either). I elected to start with fresh spring rolls and a pot of ginger tea (I love me some ginger). They were good. For my entree, I was set on the Chicken Salad (Larb), although the server tried to get me to do some avocado thing, which momentarily irked me. The irking continued with the delivery of the salad - it had too many tomatoes for me and not enough lime. The bill was $20 which in these current unsettled times is pretty reasonable.
