This was our first time going here and we were so excited, and when you first walk inside it was really cute. Our server was really nice and while reading the menu she informed us that with our general chicken and beef lomain plates came with a soup, a crab Rangoon and an egg roll. We've had food from here many times and it is always good. We ordered take out and the COVID protocols are excellent. No done in and a separate outside door for pickup. It is brought out by a masked and gloved employee. As this virus is getting worse, this may become our go to take out restaurant. The hot and sour soup was good. The pork in the lomein was tender. Everyone time I visit Greeley I have to go here. Their food is delicious, the menu is expansive, the portion are huge, it's affordable and the atmosphere is peaceful. I enjoy the sesame tofu with white rice. It is consistently great. The menu has every option you can think of. They also have combo specials and lunch specials. Greeley is NOT known for it's Asian cuisine variety or selection. That being said, we do have a really nice little Chinese food place on 10th st. Wonderful Inn is a pretty typical Americanized-Chinese-food experience. I am a creature of habit and get Sesame Chicken with steamed rice, and my husband gets the General Tso with fried rice. The portions are large and it always tastes nice and fresh. I can power through steamed rice (its my favorite) and they will bring me a second helping with no charge! My husband gets their hot tea, which is Oolong and he loves it. He even talks about it at home, and bought his own oolong tea so he could enjoy. When we are feeling fancy, we have gotten the crab-cheese wontons. They are crispy and tasty, and have never been soggy. The same goes for the pork spring rolls. Their egg drop soup is DELICIOUS! Fun fact about Greeley; people love to put corn in the egg drop soup. I have never had that anywhere else. A less fun fact? I don't like it. Wonderful Inn's egg drop is corn free! They also deliver and its always fast and hot. So here is the real scoop. This is a typical place food and price wise. The lunch special is good and the decor is standard. Why am I giving it 5 stars? The staff. The waiters are some of the nicest people I have ever met in a restaurant. They smile and joke and are friendly. Some of them don't have the best English and still, they recognize you. They remember your order. They remember that we like our food extra spicy and that I don't like cabbage with my sesame chicken. They know that we will ALWAYS need a box. My wife and I heard lots of good reviews about Wonderful Inn so we decided to check it out. Looking over the menu it was over priced for what was being served. Then when we got our food I was able to eat it, sense I have an iron stomach but my wife ended up boxing most of her dinner up. Which we latter gave to the dogs. The shrimp was old. The chow main was oily and bland. Even the chili sauce lacked heat and flavor. If you are looking for Americanized Asian food with only a hint of Asian this would be a good place for you. But I would recommend hitting up the $1.50 a scoop place next door to save you some cash. I can see why this place could be seen as tasty here in Greeley. But I think that speaks more about the pallets of the people here. I will leave out the part about when we got home from our dinner and movie. read more

My family used to get food from this restaurant at least once a month, and it was usually "to go." One time, a couple years ago, the chicken lo mein tasted rancid. We all threw our food away (six "to go" containers). We didn't return for a year or so.... We went back, missing our Chinese food fix, after about a year or so, and I got a rock or something hard in my food. It chipped my tooth. Before Wonderful Inn Closed The Food was AMAZING, But now that they are reopen it's not good, The rice is dry, The food is bland and the curry is gross. We order in the food from here about twice a month. It only takes around 15-20 minutes for it to arrive at our door piping hot. The food is awesome. Never had any problem with them getting our order wrong, or with the quality of their food. I'd recommend this place. read more

I'm giving this place 3 stars mostly because when I order chinese take-out, I'm usually expecting to get a better value than I did. Their food was very good quality but there wasn't a whole lot of it for the price I paid. I LOVE crab cheese wontons/rangoons and while the filling was delicious, there was about a half of a teaspoon full in each one. The soft chow mein was also a bit greasy but I have to say the flavor was good. So, I guess I'm on the fence with this one...will definitely be searching for something a bit better. read more

The place has been renovated since I was last there; however, giving this place a second chance was a waste of my time. At the start, there was no Sriracha sauce and only a fork and napkin for utensils. When the food arrived at the table, it didn't come all at once -- I had to wait an additional 5 minutes before I could have start eating. The egg-rolls are okay tasting, but I alwaypreferer California Egg Rolls, not those deep fried spring rolls.The beef tasted like it came fro very low quality, vegetables were soaked in juices, the sesame chicken was okay -- would of prefered more authentic and not the deep fried, breaded version. read more

My wife absolutely loves Wonderful Inn. We have had several family get-togethers there. They are very accomodating, so you tell them how spicy you want something, okay? Don't just expect them to read your mind. They have "five" levels of "spiciness". But you can ask for 2 and a half or three and a half or whatever. I was disappointed that on my first attempt to engage a waiter in Chinese, he apologized for not being able to speak Chinese. Go figure. W.I. is a family-owned restaurant with ties to another family restaurant on the Coast. That may not affect the food directly (or it might), but the fact is, I am partial to family-operated restaurants. This one tends to have great consistency in their dishes, and routinely establishes a friendly rapport with customers. While Wonderful Inn will never be able to compete with the quality of the food across the street at Ambrosia, it's an inexpensive way to get huge greasy portions of cheap Americanized "Chinese" cuisine in your face. Sesame chicken is not too bad, the orange chicken was a huge disappointment (but I have this thing about finding THE perfect orange chicken, and it hasn't happened yet). Sadly, they don't deliver (Ambrosia does). Most of their food is served with an over-abundance of grease and oil, presumably to make up for the lack of any special flavour, seasoning, or quality ingredients. At last I've found a decent Chinese restaurant in Greeley. It's around the corner from my home and has only taken me 3 years to try it! And this week, I'm moving out of state. Oh, well! I went to Wonderful Inn two nights ago, with no preset expectations and was delightfully surprised. I received prompt, courteous attention from the head waiter and from my server. The couple next to me appeared to have been there frequently as they called several staff members by name. My server was Jason who appeared at my table immediately and who accurately took my order for Honey Walnut Shrimp ($12.95). He was happy to substitute mixed Chinese vegetables for the rice which I am not able to eat and brought me a glass of Beringer White Zinfadel, the house wine. The meal and the wine were both tasty. I would like to have been able to try some other items on their menu. During the meal, Jason stopped by a couple of times to check that alll was well, as did Lily, the waitress from the next table. The atmosphere is pleasant and the decor appropriate. Each table is decorated with a different and attractive inlay of flowers and birds, which enhances the Chinese atmosphere of the restaurant. It's a nice place and I wish I had found it earlier 11/28/08- Went back to Wonderful Inn tonight and tried their Kung Pao Chicken. Jason and Lily remembered me, were attentive as they had been, and brought my dinner less than 5 minutes after I placed the order. Earlier I spoke of their excellent service. Tonight was even better. I ordered Hot & Sour soup, but the chef decorates it with crispy noodles. When I mentioned to Jason that I didn't really care for it that way, he went right into the kitchen and returned with a fresh bowl and a dish of crispy noodles on the side. No charge , of course. THAT's good customer service. Also learned that the chef is the owner of the restaurant, which perhaps accounts for the good food. He cares. 5/28/09 Had the occasion to be in Greeley last night and went for dinner. After 6 months, Lily, the server, remembered me! The Hunan Chicken was excellent and plentiful. Was the best Chinese food in Greeley ! Since a recent Change in Kitchen staff, the Food is far from Great, The Service is still exceptional and the Delivery times spot on. However due to Past issues with The food, as a customer for over 18 years, They agreed to replace the last order that my wife and I made, Upon calling them, to fulfill there promise, They said they had no record of the transaction or the promise in the system, when asked why, they asked how long ago we ordered, It has been about two months, As the food was really bad and we tossed it. They said the last order was not recorded in the system and they would not fulfill their promise to Re-make the last order. Needless to say, a once great palace, a truly wonderful inn, Is now nothing more then a shabby low down, lying, Lack of passion, Chinese food dump. with no morals or values. The food prices have increased several times over the last several years, which is understandable due to the wage increases and time lapse, but affordability is still an not an issue for the amount of food you would get.
