Good cheap Chinese fast food. I like the coconut shrimp and the chicken (when it's not hard). The crab cheese wontons are probably the best. They are filled well with the crab and cheese. Many places skimp on the filling, but these are filled much more than most. Food is $1.50 but it adds up and some items are more than the $1.50 You can eat inside or take the door to-go. They also have drive thru and it has decent hours. I believe it closes at 9pm, but check inside. Parking is easy but can get filled up. Location is easy too. Right off the main drag (business 34 which I believe is also 10th street). They don't always carry the teriyaki chicken and the low mein isn't always hot and fresh. So 4 out of 5 stars for them. read more

Food is great, friendly staff, excellent price. Parking can be a challenge! Still love the place for a quick carry--out meal.

Terrible food! Not fresh at all. Will never go there again. Noodles were totally soggy read more

I tried this place for the first time and it was so good! 10/10 ! Not to mention the staff were super kind

The workers here always remember you and are so grateful and happy to serve you~! THE FOOD IS YUMMY, TENDER, JUICY, CRISPY AND THE BEST FOOD FOR THE BEST PRICE! it is a go to for my fiancé and i to get food here and a little lego to build. love the staff and the food! read more

This Chinese restaurant is average, and is one of the more affordable restaurants right now. I don't like their dumplings very much. They are made with chicken instead of pork, and they are dry and hard. I think their hot & soup is decent, but not great. I did enjoy the lo mein, beef with broccoli, and coconut shrimp. The spring rolls are average, but I do enjoy the egg rolls. They are one of the few Chinese restaurants in Colorado to serve egg rolls, like they do in the eastern US. Also, no items are $1.50 inches we scoop anymore, and they start at $2 now. I would recommend driving up to Dragon Inn in Eaton instead, and it's also very affordable with much higher quality food. read more

Don't be intimidated by the name. We've been coming here almost weekly since 2014 since I first started going to college. Never once had food poisoning. Sometimes the lo mein is a little older- but that is just what happens when you pop in during a random hour when they aren't busy. They usually are packed during typical dinner hours- and for good reason. $20 can feed two adults for 3 meals each. I have a lot of fond memories of this place and the older woman smiling and remembering me, my husband, and our friend who used to work at the neighboring domino's. She notices when we haven't been around in a while and it is so touching when most other places don't give a thought about you at all. I can't speak for ordering online or over the phone- we always are more than happy to drive over and either go through their drive thru or walk in. I'm so so happy they have survived the pandemic. Idk what I would do without my weekly hot and sour soup bowl that I'll have for lunch because it is seriously the highlight of my working week. read more

Lousy food and not as advertised. Lomein noodles stale and over cooked. Not worth it at all. Teriyaki chicken was just chunks of whatever in teriyaki sauce maybe. read more

Inexpensive and good. Get the Seafood Combo! Top it off with the donuts! Closed on Mondays & for some reason I always want it then.

It's pretty great food for the price. The quality is similar to what you might get at a mall food court Chinese place or Panda Express maybe. But you can get a large, pretty good meal for under $5. The scoops they give you are HUGE. Great for if you want to get takeout but save some money. You also could probably split a singular meal with someone. read more

Great prices and huge portions. Not even a fraction of the cost wat u wld pay at panda express. The food is really good too. I was shocked.

Food was okay I got noodles, spicy chicken, Chinese donuts, wantons, pot stickers and garlic chicken. The noodles were good Chinese noodles. It was cooked good, good spices 8/10The spicy chicken was ok. Alr flavor, alr seasonings. Good spice 6.5/10. The garlic chicken was good. Tastes like normal breaded chicken not garlic but still good 8/10. The Chinese donuts were good, good taste, cooked right9/10. The pot stickers were good could've been cooked longer but maybe I like crispy ones. The inside was alr 7.5/10 the wontons were good. The inside was sweet and it was crisped just right.8.5/10. The prices were amazing with all that plus another meal the total was over 25 dollars. So if you looking to get full and have left overs and spend a cheap amount with a lot of food this place is for you. If not then I'd go to panda. I would go here again if I was hungry and wanted cheap food 7.5/10 (1.50 scoop is a scam.i think it only works on rice or noodles) read more

The food was fine. But they haven't figured out yet how to handle online orders. (Food supposed to be ready at 5:53 turned out to be 6:35, no ability to pay online, no shelf to just walk in and pick up order.) The young people working there were hustling as hard as they could, but the order process is not ready for prime time. They use a 3rd-party site rather than their own company site. read more

Been here enough they know us! The employees always smile so nicely you have smile back. The food is out of this world, especially the hibachi chicken, we always have to get 2 orders of it! The coconut shrimp is my favorite, I always get sad when Ive eaten in all. And theres ALWAYS leftovers and they last a few days before we actually eat it all! read more

The place is not the most attractive building out there, but the food was excellent, especially for the price. The staff were also very nice and made sure we didn't leave hungry. read more

I love this place for their fresh meat and bold flavors! I've been to all of the chinese food spots in Greeley, and this one is by far the best. It's worth the travel from anywhere in the city, trust me!!! read more

I must admit I was pretty skeptical when I was told we'd be getting food from there earlier for lunch. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and 2 spring rolls. Both were really, really good! The girlfriend ordered fried rice and pot stickers and loved hers too. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful and friendly. read more

I've driven by this place hundreds of times but was honestly intimidated by the "$1.50 a scoop" name. We wanted some Chinese food that wasn't Panda Express and decided to finally check this place out and were so glad we did. Fed a family of four and then some for $20 (which would be significantly more had we ordered the same thing from panda). I was able to order ahead on the phone, they also have a drive thru. The employees were super helpful over the phone and made the experience that much better. 10/10 would go again. read more

I typically rate restaurants by their food quality and their prices and this place has decent Chinese food and AMAZING prices.. it's has a similar setup to Panda Express but it's half as expensive and twice as much food! read more

Really affordable and good food. Would reccomend for sure. Under 10 dollars for enough for 2-3 meals.

Most of the reviews here are about two or more years old so let me give something recent. When I went here I had super low expectations because of the name. It didn't seem appetizing? Also the fact that it was an old Dunkin Donuts was pretty strange. I didn't know "scoop" restaurants were a thing. But the food was actually pretty good! The coconut shrimp was very enjoyable. The girl who waited on us was very kind and sweet. So maybe all those rude people left the store. :) read more

What should 1 expect from a restaurant called $1.50 a scoop? That's not the price of all items but close enough. It was yummy if not a little greasy. The egg rolls were surprisingly good. Would love to try the pork fried wantons Check them out for a fast, cheap, Chinese dinner. I would come here again read more

The owner was so kind. They give you big scoops and make sure you are well taken care of. Great food!

First, the garlic chicken is the best ever. Second, the portions are ginormous and lastly, it is the best Chinese in Colorado.

Great food, great customer service, and an all around great place to feed your family for a good price! Highly recommend!

The food is good, but the price always changes. I added up my order and it was $10.50 and they come back and tell me it's $13.05. I always order the same thing & the price always varies read more

amazing food, cheese wontons are a must have. you get so much food for so cheap, i feel like a criminal when i come here because i feel like i'm robbing them it's so cheap read more

I've been coming here for years and have always liked it. They have good food at a very reasonable price. They have a good selection to choose from. For the price, you can't beat it. read more

When they say scoop... They mean a giant, heaping, SCOOP. Will eat here over Panda Express any day. Food is served on a take-home Styrofoam plate so dont have over-the-top expectations but it definelty is good tasting and great for a lazy dinner night. I recommend their spicy oil on the rice and to try their wontons. read more

I went there for dinner yesterday evening because it's cheap. I had only had my daily morning shake and a banana for lunch, so I was feeling a little more hungry and I read they gave decent portions, which they do. But when I got home, I started feeling queasy. I took a nap only to wake myself with a huge stomach pain and cramping and nausea. Let's just say it was an awful night of food poisoning and of hoping it was the last time I'd feel that way. Just be careful guys. Sometimes cheap doesn't mean healthy read more

I frequent this business once a week(not the healthiest place but it is delicious!). The staff is and has always been super friendly since day one. They actually have spicy dishes which is pretty hard to find around here. You can also request for more chili oil if you would like. The portions are HUGE and the food is always hot and fresh. Also very cheap. If they are towards the bottom of a pan they will ask you to wait and they whip up some more real quick so you don't have to have the last of it. Actually I think I will head down there now. :) mmmmmm read more

Mediocrity, thy name is $1.50 A Scoop & Up. Over the holidays, I came back to Greeley to visit family and was stoked to learn that they had opened a fast food Chinese restaurant other than Panda Express. Living in California for the past 8 years, I've experienced my fair share of these type of joints...some good, and some not so good. This place definitely falls under the 'not so good' category. My sister pre-warned me that the staff was rude, and she wasn't mistaken. I wouldn't simply chalk it up to "language barrier," though. These people rush you along as you order, and actually act inconvenienced that you're patronizing their establishment. Aside from that, I found their food lukewarm and not-so-fresh. As the other reviewer mentioned, it simply tasted "old." Their hibachi chicken was actually pretty tasty, but their spicy chicken was oddly breaded and WAY too spicy. I also ordered shrimp and chicken, and it was quite honestly the strangest dish I had ever encountered at a Chinese restaurant. It was almost as though they had old shrimp from one dish, old chicken from another dish, and combined them with a few random, overcooked vegetables to try to salvage them and peddle them to customers. I managed to choke down a little bit of it, but even my sister's dog refused to touch the leftovers. I'd highly recommend Wonderful Inn in the parking lot across the street, or Canton Garden if you're across town. Anywhere but this place. Their rude service, questionable food, and ridiculous parking lot will not warrant a second visit. read more

I used to love buck-a-scoop places.when I lived around Denver. But, this place, terrible. I don't expect amazing food from a place that has $1.50 in the name. I would bet that $1.50 and Wonderful Inn are co-owned. Both places seem to have the exact same food, but at least at $1.50 it is cheaper by far! read more

I love this place. Fast service, good food, big portions, low price. Everything tastes delicious and was hot and fresh. I plan on spending way too much time here during my next few years here. Only issue is they don't have soy sauce. Kinda weird, maybe I just missed it. read more

It's okay as a Chinese scoop place. It's not the best, but when I was in college I use to go to places like this alot for the cheap food that was better than what was served in college cafeterias. read more

When 1.50 scoop first opened they were great, now they are awful. Lo mien was over cooked and rice tasted like sticky white rice instead of fried rice. Coconut shrimp was dry no sauce at all. Chicken cho mien tasted cheaply made. read more

You definitely get a bang for a your buck! Well technically a buck-fifty as it is quick, hot, and just your average take out Chinese restaurant design. Very well priced and their chicken had plenty of grease to help ease my BM the following morning. Joke is on these guys I'd pay $2 a scoop. read more

Not the best "Chinese" food, by far, but for a "Chinese" greasy spoon it is awesome! I eat there about once a week, and I have to admit that even though I am usually a stickler for authentic foods, this is one of those little dives that you should indulge in every once in awhile. The food is tasty, the portions generous, and the price plenty fair. I have to say, I am glad they are here, and I hope they stay! read more

Great tasting food and you can't beat the price. Best Chinese in Greeality!

This place is soooo bad!!! Old nasty "food" with rude pushy employees! I will NEVER go back!!!
