First time coming to the restaurant and it won't be on my last. Great value and the food was excellent.

I drove past this place and the $1.50 scoop sign caught my eye I got there around 11 so everything was freshly cooked and they allow you to sample before choosing your meat. Lots of options and the food was good. Fried rice and hibachi chicken was only $4 not bad for a quick Chinese food lunch. Would be back again read more

Bamboo Express - Chinese Near Me - Loveland, Colorado

Jeepers... For the price, it's a 5 -- no wonder all the high school kids pack the place at lunch! This is fast-food Chinese, and while I've definitely had better, you get what you pay for. What we ordered: Egg Drop Soup - The person who ordered it wasn't feeling well, and they said it really hit the spot. Simple, warm, and comforting. Hot & Sour Soup - Heavy on the mushrooms (a little too heavy), and surprisingly light on the "sour." Egg Rolls - We got two for the price of one compared to most places, so that's a bonus! We skipped the sweet and sour sauce though -- it was a little questionable-looking! Thai Chicken - Nothing to brag about. Pretty standard. Honey Chicken - Also nothing special. Honestly, it looked like something you'd serve to a child -- very sweet and basic. Service was brief and to the point. No frills, but efficient. The place has that classic dive feel, but it doesn't quite deliver the incredible food you sometimes hope comes with a hidden gem. Still, for the price and quick bite convenience, it works! For me...it's a no go. read more

This place is the best!!! Cheap food, good food, hits the spot every single time, the service is great too, if you treat them with respect they treat you kindly as well, please tip them cause a full meal is under 7$. read more

Three years of residency in Loveland and during which I drive by bamboo express almost every day. Today was the first time we tried and I have to report for the idea of a scoop Chinese place and experiences I've had in the past at other places make me skeptical BUT This place was SO good. I had their lo mein, orange chicken, and coconut shrimp. The orange chicken was on point might I report and hit my craving. The service was very friendly and eager to show me all their cute charms too. I struggle with making up my mind when it comes to food but the gentleman was very patient with me. That's much appreciated that I did not feel rushed at all. My wife also got their lo mein, mushroom and chicken, and their pepper chicken You also have to try the sweet friend dough! The inside of this place does have some areas to sit but the vibe of very nice for grab and go home to watch anime. They also have some cute trinkets you can buy. Guilty, I got a bunny key chain for my car charms. The price is very desirable too. For two full plates we spent under $20.00. Happy to report that we will be coming back again! So long Panda Express hello bamboo express！ I am here to stay. ^_^ read more

Bamboo Express is Amazing it's a 5 Restaurant all their food is so Delicious I Highly Recommend Bamboo Express

Cheap Chinese food - portions are always great - staff is always fast with serving. They serve to the masses so their breaded chicken might not always be the best - everything else is great read more

Food was just sad. Spaghetti noodles for lo mein, most fried meats were soggy, and all flavor was very minimal. And really not that cheap compared to other Chinese scoop options. Looking for below mediocre? This is the place. Wouldn't recommend. read more

It definitely exceeded my not-that-high expectations. The Sesame Chicken, in particular, was quite good. I'll also commend the value - it's been a while since my wife and I had dinner for under $20. The reason I'm not maxing out the stars is (1) overtly requesting tips, when there is no table service of any kind, and (2) a garbage bin so full that I literally couldn't dump the trash on our tray in it. read more

When I clicked on this to write a review and I saw the food, I wanted to throw up even more. I got food from this place and immediately while eating I started feeling cramping in my stomach. I thought it would go away but I ended up having to go to the hospital because I got a stomach bug. If i could rate negative I would. I've already contacted the Health Department to check this hell hole out. Never coming to this disgusting place AGAIN, and I hope no one has to experience this too. And im not gonna get started on how the service is so bad I cant. I wont rest till this place shuts down. read more

Ignore the bad reviews, this place is amazing. Hot food, good flavor. Better than any place around. Hot pepper chicken is the go-to Anyone who writes bad on this place weighs about 300+ and probably dropped a piece of rice and cried. read more

This is not a super fancy place but growing up with dollar scoop Chinese food this place is it!! Food is great and portion is amazing. The price is great and better than most Chinese food place in Fort Collins/ LoveLand area!! read more

Great food, affordable prices, and fast customer service. This is our spot when we are looking for some delicious Chinese food. The best in the city. read more

Amazing food at an affordable price! This is my son and myself's go to restaurant! We always get a large container of Honey Chicken! It's a little loud inside so you have to speak up. read more

We love this place! Fresh hot food, and great service! Amazing price!!!! The best wonton soup

Great food - service was great - it was ready at pick up time. We didn't eat inside so can't review the ambiance. We got a lot of delicious food for the $$! I highly recommend Bamboo Express. read more

we've gotten food from here twice. the food is ok, but twice we've ordered chow mein. The first time, it was just vegetable. we thought it was because it was late so we let it go. Today, we ordered again, beef chow mein. I specifically googled what it was what because my husband wanted the fried noodles and what did he get? Not chow mein. It's chop suey. Chow mein is not chop suey. Never again will we patronize this restaurant. 12 bucks for chopped cabbage. If you're expecting noodles with the chow mein, prepare to be deeply disappointed. Also, got sweet and sour chicken...no sauce included or any packets of soy sauce etc. read more

This is where we go when we want cheap Chinese food. It's fast, it's easy, it's cheap. Even late at night, half a hour before closing, the food has always seemed fresh and tasted good. If you're like us and enjoy by-the-scoop places, try Bamboo Express. The service is always friendly, food is hot, and you can get a really filling meal for two people for less than you'd pay at McD's. read more

I asked a co-worker for a recommendation on some mediocre yet good Chinese food. He recommended this place! I was a bit skeptical but honestly it's so good and at a really good price! Girlfriend and I got 2 full plates with friend gyoza for about $17! Food was very flavorful, definitely a must try, especially if you're tired of the same old Panda Express! Will be going back for sure, very comforting and it's fast if you wanna be in and out and be home on your couch eating and watching a movie like we do. read more

Bamboo Express is far from the best Chinese food that I've eaten. In fact, it's pretty damn low on the list. I am rating it 5 stars, however: Pros: -INSANE value. It was less than $6 for the same amount of food that costs $8+ at Panda Express or (insert Chinese place here). -The food was about what you'd expect- pretty average American Chinese food. -Fast service- you can be in and out within 1 minute (if no line). Cons: -Food isn't cooked to order, so I would assume this place would suck if you go during an 'off' dining time (not near lunch or dinner, so 4 p.m.). -Greasy (though, not really a knock. Most all Chinese food is). If you have Chinese American food cravings and do not want to go to Panda Express, Bamboo Express is a very good option for you. I will definitely be returning. read more

Excellent quality and fresh food. Large portions and yet steaming hot. Fried rice to die for!!! Plenty parking plus open after 9:00pm for late night meals. read more

We go here all. The. Time. You probably thought I was sitting at home, writing this review. Wrong! I'm at Bamboo Express. They have better food than their competitors (I can't mention any names. but they rhyme with Schmanda), and they charge you less money. I know this is an unpopular opinion nowadays, but I happen to like money. So the more of it I have, the happier I am. Also, anytime we go here their food is fresh and hot. Except that one time we went in the middle of the night. They weren't open, so we snuck in through a roof vent. All the trays were empty, that was the only time we were disappointed with their lack of options. Ok that may not have happened, come to think of it, that was a dream I had, so never mind. The bottom line is this: go here. read more

Are you kidding me?? I ordered the Mu Shoo chicken and it came with zero Mu Shoo sauce and flour tortillas! YES... store bought flour tortillas. The fried rice was dry and crunchy. The Mu Shoo chicken was too salty and lacked any hint of actual Mu Shoo flavor. The 'fried dumplings' were filled with some sketchy sort of mystery meat. Absolutely terrible food! I will *never* order from here again! read more

It's a $1.50/scoop... I'm thinking this place probably isn't going to be great... and it wasn't. But, what should one expect for $1.50 per scoop? Lots of breading on orange chicken-- 90 percent breading 10 percent cheap thigh meat. The pot stickers were good-- but they were offered at like $4+ (they were definitely not on the regular menu and were freshly steamed and pan fried-- and why I gave this place the 2nd star). Mongolian beef, lots of fat. Fried rice was ok. Egg rolls, ewwwww. Lots of post-cheap fried food phlegm. The "special" aka more expensive items are probably your best bet if you must eat here. read more

So so so good!! We ordered the general tao's chicken, coconut shrimp, some of the honey chicken and sweet and sour, the Chinese donuts, egg fried rice, egg drop soup, spring rolls, cheese wontons, and Chinese donuts (wow that was a lot to type) and every single thing was fantastic. Oh, and lo mein! I could not believe they had it all ready in 10 minutes. I did have trouble finding their menu online, but their pictures looked great and they're super close to me, so I just went it to get one. The woman on the phone and in person was so sweet, too!! Their menu prices are a little different now since they're making some changes but even the new pricing is completely reasonable and she at least gave me a heads up about it before I ordered, so it was no problem. I would recommend the general tao's chicken and coconut shrimp, as those two were the best. The cheese wontons are also kind of small, which makes sense since you get 4 of them for less than $2, and I regret not getting 2 orders because those were really yummy. Will definitely be ordering again when I'm in the mood for Chinese food. read more

The food is average. But it's really about the value. You could feed a whole family on this stuff. And for that it's a good rating.

The food was okay. When I called the lady on the phone kept trying to get off the phone. The fried rice looks like Mexican rice and was just kind of off. This just isn't some place I would really recommend. read more

I have eaten at a number of 1.50 or 1.75 or 2.00 a scoop places over the years and it can be hit or miss, the idea is it is cheap food service type food meaning it is almost already prepared food like you would find in your freezer section at the grocery store. I have been here a few times and if you get the dishes fresh it is good but depending on how long the food site it becomes a you get what you paid for thing. The low prices give it a star and freshness a star as well cause they usually do pretty well and service factors in that I give it 4 stars. There is no way I could give this place just 1 or 2 stars that is not fair in this genre of restaurants. For the people that give this place 1 star, don't feel like you are entitled to a 12 dollar meal when you only spend 5 dollars. read more

I'm officially a regular here now when I'm in town. Was introduced to this place and I end up craving them every time I'm in town. Great prices, good service, good people, and fresh dumplings! All the food is good and always hot! Will always recommend and come here. The perfect comfort food place (hopefully I will get some photos to post later, too). read more

As with most Asian food places it needs paint and cleaning really bad. I do love the food and the prices are unbelievably great.

This place is amazing. The food never disappoints. The teriyaki chicken skewers are so tender and succulent. The peppered chicken and the hibachi chicken are both amazingly flavorful. And it's so affordable! My boyfriend and I can each get rice with two entrees, plus we always get an extra entree, teriyaki chicken skewers, egg rolls, soup, and two drinks - the total is less than $25. read more

The food here is fresh, inexpensive, and fast. Never real busy with take out and sit down. The quality of food in this price range ($1.50/scoop, by the scoop) is good. It is an authentic family owned business. I eat here frequently for the quality and value and to support locally family owed businesses. Update: 7/27/2012 Still a good value but the lack a variety causes this place to loose it's appeal over time. The quality of the food seems to have slipped as their volume of business has increased. A good place to go for fast and good chinese on a budget. read more

Never disappointed when I eat here. Favorite pregnancy craving by far! the food is so flavorful and always still warm when I get home. Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing it right! Will never go to another Chinese restaurant! read more

Oh... My... Gosh... Bamboo Express is my new favorite Asian quick serve restaurant anywhere. The huge chain Panda Express makes you hope and pray that they don't short change you on serving sizes-- NOT HERE!! :) they give huge portion sizes! And here's the kicker- each scoop (which is really like a double or triple scoop) is only $1.50!!! The people who work here are so nice and make you feel relaxed, which rarely ever happens at restaurants. My wife and I both ate a full meal, including a 2 drinks and huge hot & sour soup, for $10.13 total!! Are you kidding me! And their chicken is awesome for leftovers! If you haven't been here, you owe it to yourself to check it out. read more

No chicken in my chicken and mushrooms. No vegetables in my lo mein. Very little in my spring rolls. I will not be eating there again.

I was at the restaurant around 4pm. The broccoli beef was fresh and tender. The hibachi chicken was tasty. Good portion for scoops.

I love the food and I have no problem however the food could be warmer. I love the food especially the shrimp lo-main. Love it and the variety of food. My husband has picked up our to go order and it I am impressed by the amount of food you get. The container is full of delicious food! Keep up the good work and you have 2 permanent customers!! Cheap. Tasted ok if you like cut up fatty chicken belly skin in your entre. Bathrooms were filthy.

I know, I know ... you think, $1.50 scoop ... how good can that be? Well, to my surprise, and I'm sure yours too, you will find this place is not half bad. The fried rice is good and I always get the chicken and mushroom ... I know I sound a bit like the review below me, but I speak the truth! They have a really good selection for a good price. read more
