Love this restaurant, they have tasty Chinese soul food with great sides. Don't skip the wood ear mushrooms. Yes some of the food is a bit oily, but that's why you eat vegetables with it and come with an appetite. Food always tastes better when you exercise before and or after. I noticed some people complaining about the food being greasy, maybe know what meal you are ordering before critiquing it? That's like eating a burger and then complaining about bloating... you just had red meat. Anyways, they sure loved getting to pet the white husky I had with me, it was my old roommate's. This place used to be very good. However, recently the place has deteriorated-- the tables are sticky and so are the spice containers and utensils. The soda fountain is surrounded by a sticky pond. We had to check this place out visiting Ft. Collins. My husband hasn't had any beef noodles in years and so happy we stopped by. They had a lottle bit of something for everyone. This review is specifically for their quality of delivery (ordered through Nosh Delivery). We ordered the soup dumplings (risky for delivery, but I was willing to take that risk), Dan Dan noodles and pork potstickers. The delivery was fast (thanks, Nosh!) and the food was still piping hot when it arrived! Shockingly, not a single soup dumpling had split open on the trip over. They were still nice and hot, and had just enough time to cool down to a temperature that wouldn't scald my tongue when I nibbled open the casing to slurp up the salty, brothy goodness. The Dan Dan noodles were delicious with a nice little hint of spice, and the pork potstickers came with a generous amount of the ginger soy and chili oil on the side. Again, risky to order soup dumplings through delivery, but I'll definitely be taking that risk again when I'm too lazy to make the trek over to Campus West. read more

The steamed fried dumplings in particular were better than we've gotten in Shanghai, home of these types of dumplings--just the right amount of dough, not too much and light and perfectly fried, with lots of filling. Something to be said about the food pictures of Chopstickers because I drove all the way up here to try them. Gotta say the XLB is nicely done in how they look and feel: thin skin, lots of soup. But biting into it you'll soon figure out how they "cheated". The skin felt like dumpling wrapper and the soup is just chicken broth, not the result of frozen fatty gelatin being melted by way of steaming. So emulating wise, they did a fantastic job. Chop stickers is an independent Asian restaurant that makes homemade soup dumplings and noodles. I got the pork field soup dumplings that have a burst of juice inside them and they were excellent. I also got the Dan Dan noodles which had ground pork, baby bok choy, and a pork broth with noodles, and it was also very good. This is a pay at the counter type restaurant where you get a number and sit down and they bring it to you and and the employees are very polite, courteous, and helpful. The menu is very limited, but what they do provide, they do very well. The ambience is very simple similar to a a fast food type restaurant atmosphere. When Colorado state university is in session, this restaurant can get quite busy with a line out the door during lunch and dinner. read more

A small hidden gem that serves up great food and service. This is an order, take a number and then sit restaurant. The man taking our order and serving our food was extremely kind and helpful. I don't know if this place ever gets super busy, but if it does the dining area would not be big enough to accommodate more than 5 or so parties. However, it's a nice space, open and comfortable. For the food, I started off with the edamame which was $5 and a great deal on the massive amount they give you. They are fresh and have just the right amount of salt. Soup dumplings have been on my mind for a while as I have never tried them until my recent visit here. I must say that I am a fan. The juice in the dumplings just explode in your mouth and the flavor is salivating. They were extremely fresh and therefore hot so I had to wait a few minutes until they cooled. Goodness gracious! Stumbled upon this place and we were so excited to eat here. Read a little background story about the owner being from Shandong (my ancestry roots)... a Northern Chinese "should" know how to do Northern Chinese food right. Chopstickers know how to do dough food right. Great dumpling selections, chewy noodles and their chili oil is on point! They also do frozen dumplings to go so you can make this at home if you don't live in FoCo... like me. (Except the soup dumplings, that's dine in only due to them making it on site right before steaming to preserve the soup.) Get the soup dumplings, you can only really get it here.... Authentic ones anyway, not some "Fusion French Onion soup stuffed with nothing else soup dumplings".... This is legit soup dumplings with chicken soup and pork filling. I'm very sensitive to the American pork scent, and Abraham knows how to make it with such a process and spices that I didn't pick up any pork smelly scent like when someone doesn't know what they are doing when working with pork. This is not the case here. The water fried bao was great too but I wished my order was pan fried more with better coloring. It's all good, I'll just ask for extra frying next time. The DanDan noodle and the beef noodle both were spectacular, love the taste and the ramen-style presentations. Regular potstickers are great too with various flavors to select from. And they are good sized potstickers, just like how my grandma used to make. I've been waiting for a Din Tai Fung to come to Colorado but hearing Chopstickers plans to open one in Denver and/or Boulder got me really excited. I hope they take off and definitely will be coming back next week to have more authentic yummy doughs. Thanks Abraham for making this dough shop happen, keep up the good work! After going to the local farmers market, my roommate and I were looking for a bite to eat and craving dim sum. Per my usual search, Yelp is always my go to. This place is located in a small plaza with a handful of other dine in places. There's ample parking in the back of the establishment. You place your order prior to sitting down and are provided with a number. There are many options to choose from and any questions you may have, the staff is very helpful. We ordered an array of dumplings, which included my favorite soup dumplings. Once seated at a table of our choice, it was but ten minutes before our dumplings started to appear. We started off with pan fried dumplings which are always a treat. These were followed by the water fried bao. Lastly, our soup dumplings appeared. Everything was piping hot and appealing to the eyes. This was my first time trying the water fried bao. They were good, perhaps not my favorite but chewy and flavorful nonetheless. The soup dumplings were incredible.
