She had the Egg Drop soup, I had Hot & Sour. Both were yummy. For our 2 entrees she chose Moo Goo Gai Pan & I ordered Mongolian Beef. We had the white rice. If I ever get to step foot in there again, I would change 1 thing; pan fried or boiled (or cooked in whatever) noodles instead of the dry canned Chow Mein noodles. The Mongolian Beef should the hot pepper indicatingis was spicy, but it wssnt all. That was just fine & we added our own amount of heat. So, as I wrote before, every bite was superb! We were in & out quickly so they could close for the night. But, what I saw & felt in there was nice. Yes, we took home a lot of food & enjoyed it the next day. Give them a try. Once our food was served no one checked back to see if it was ok, our water was never replenished and at the end of the meal we had to flag down a waiter to get a check and a to go box. We had a gift certificate and our waiter was unsure how to process it. Another wait time ensued. In the past on a Friday night there have been 2-3 wait staff in the floor. Yes, it's a small restaurant but when it's busy they need the extra help. I'll keep coming back because I love their food but the service has to step it up. Train the servers on how to check on tables, refill water and be present when the table is nearing the end of their meal. Beijing noodle really hit the mark! There is a row of parking outside, and we had no problem finding a spot on a Saturday afternoon. We saw in a cozy booth, and the owner himself takes care of the customers. Everything feels so authentic. I started with a hot tea, which really hit the spot and the potato salad, which had the perfect amount of flavor, balance, and not too much soy sauce like in some places. We also tried the cabbage, the scallion pancake, the oil spill noodles, and the Henan gravy noodles. We used to love the Singapore street noodles, but the noodles have been hard to chew the last couple times we ordered them so they're no longer on the regular rotation.
