Extremely good mini pancakes with creative toppings. I recommend going for 15 or more pancakes!! Strawberries are really fresh. Absolutely awesome dessert!!

If you love to eat pancakes 24/7, then Chiky Pancakes are for you! Located in the DTLA Night Market this small mini pancake business give you the opportunity to create delicious concoctions! Make right in front of you, you'll get to build your own with the toppings, fruits, & sauces of your choice. I recommend you try the Fruity Pebbles & Mazapan Crumble which includes: Condensed Milk, caramel, powdered sugar, white chocolate, fruity pebbles, Mazapan crumbs, strawberries & whipped cream!

We ordered the OG pancakes with Nutella, bananas, strawberries and powder chicken AND the Mazapan Lovers with Tres Leches, caramel, white chocolate, strawberries and mazapan crumbs. The pancakes were so DELICIOUS! I could really use Mazapan Lovers with now with some hot chocolate! We definitely are taking another trip again one of these weekends. Beware Chiky Pancakes always have long lines because they are just that GOOD!

Banana, strawberries , whipped cream, caramel and tres leches. Bomb!

I see the little pancakes on ig and I wanted to try them. Glad this was my first impression. It was at the Pico Rivera night market. They have a huge line but they move fast. I ordered one of their popular selections. It definitely was good! Stop by and check them out for yourself. Thanks for the good visit guys. Keep it up.

Coming across their stall when going to a mini night market, I was able to try out their mini pancakes! I just love the fact that we were given the choice to add our own fruit, sauce, and toppings, but I definitely had to try their signature pancakes! The colors from the fruits made the dessert pop out so well and is such a great small biter at a night market. One of the best foods to carry around as I tour around the market and a cozy hot chocolate to pair with fluffy sweets and cold night. I at first expected them to taste the regular old pancakes you can make at home, but when I took a bite, it was so warm, light, and fluffy, I just had to go in for another bite. The staff there were very nice and friendly, explaining how things worked there since was my first time. They were so patient while I was deciding on what to order and introduced us to new flavors I have never tried before!

Indoor seating has that Tulum vibe--chandeliers, music, really nice energy. Now that it's warming up, the patio is also a solid move. Food is consistently good. We always get the burger--it's one of the best. This time we tried the crispy chicken and wow... sweet, spicy, super underrated. Got ranch with it and it was a perfect combo. Also tried their pizzas--really solid, and they have gluten-free options. Ivan was our waiter, super nice, and the food came out fast. We were in and out in like 30 minutes (we do eat fast though). Definitely coming back for the burger and to try more of the menu.

We couldn't be seated right away given that we were late, and the wait ended being an extra 15 minutes longer for our party of 7. They really made it work for us, so we were very appreciative. Parking: Our group split up between $8 and $10 nearby lots for the whole day. All within a 5 minute walk away. Location: Right across the street from the Original LA Flower Market warehouse. Fun activity to do after eating. Also had a bunch of other flower and plant shops nearby. Restrooms: Shared with the Flower Market. Clean, and no need for a code. Just push the door. Food: Last but not least - scrumptious food! Plating is beautiful, and food was very satisfying. I got the chicken + waffles, and it was delicious with the honey and butter glaze. If you're looking for more leafy greens, I also highly recommend the Fried Chicken Egg Benedict.

The flavors and textures all worked so well with each other, it's the kind of dish that sticks with you. It was literally the dish that converted me into liking breakfast/brunch. Service was friendly and the space is cute and cozy -- exactly the vibe you want for weekend brunch. I do miss their rooftop seating though. Some street parking and nearby parking lots you have to pay for. It does get busy, so make a reservation in advanced! Enjoyed this meal, and will not be waiting years to return this time.

I got the veggie burrito and my partner got the Thomas Breakfast. I loved the breakfast plate, especially the salad and biscuit that paired with it. We visited on a Monday around 12pm and they were quite packed for brunch, we didn't dine in but really only stopped by to grab some pastries. Might need to come back to try their food another time. Passion Fruit Pie -really good, if you love tart this would be up your alley. Fresh passion fruit topped helps balance the sweetness of the pie. Almond Croissant (White Chocolate Strawberry Garnish)- seems like their croissant flavor rotates. Wasn't expecting the filling to also be strawberry, would have loved the filling to be almond. Croissant is more of a flaky dense bread texture not buttery fluffy pastry. Not the best I've had. Chocolate Chip Oat Cookie -amazing cookie, love a good oat cookie without raisins. This one did just that, would grab this again if we come back and they have it. Strawberry Rhubarb Hand Pie -seems like a permanent item, saw them prepping a ton more when we were there. My favorite item we got, pastry was fluffy and buttery. Not too sweet, filling was the strawberry preserve and some sort of custard. Seasonal Citrus Vanilla Danish - the citrus was charred with a torch which added too much burnt flavor. Not sure what citrus it was but also too strong and overpowering, slightly bitter as well.

And, I'm a repeat customer at Flipper's, which says a lot. I rarely return to a place unless it deserves my time and money. Flipper's definitely does! Flipper's is a neighborhood gem and is always such a great experience. The soufflé pancakes absolutely live up to the hype. They're fluffy, light, and somehow still rich and satisfying without feeling too heavy. The presentation is beautiful, and the food actually tastes as good as it looks, which isn't always the case with trendy brunch spots. Flipper's has a Palm Springs vibe: bright, stylish, and relaxed, with a fire pit(!). And, the staff is generally kind and attentive. I also appreciate that the menu has a good balance of sweet and savory options: I've ordered and highly recommend: the Croque Madame, Fried Chicken & Truffles, 2 Eggs Any Style, Chicken & Waffles...and, of course, the Fresh Fruit Soufflé Pancakes. Flipper's is the kind of place that feels fun for a solo coffee date, brunch with friends, or taking out-of-town guests. I've never had a wait, but I tend to pop in during non-peak hours (mostly weekdays). Flipper's is one of the few Instagram-famous spots that actually delivers.

Please see the picture of the menu to get a full description of the meals I've tried. *Update* I've tried several times to post a picture of the menu, but unfortunately no luck. First up was the "Two Eggs Any Style." I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon and the portions were good for the price. For me, the bacon wasn't very crispy and a little too greasy, but it tasted good enough. This meal comes with a salad, with a tasty dressing; avocados, tomatoes, and two tiny pieces of toast. I ordered a side of fries ($9, yikes) that were perfect. Crispy and very warm. Next visit I had the "Mushroom Omelette." It was a good size omelette and was hot upon delivery. I chose the bacon which again was tasty, but not crispy and too greasy. To compliment my meal, I selected the fries and toast which came with my meal. On another visit, I selected the "Croque Madame." This was really good and a decent sized portion. It arrived very warm and tasted great. I tried the Home Fries with this meal, and I was disappointed. They were overcooked and cold. I should have ordered the fries as those are great. I had a side of a Japanese style "Strawberry Banana Pancake" and it was very flavorful and delicious. The pancake also had blueberries inside. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions with the menu. My only complaint with two of the three visits is having to ask for refills of coffee, butter for the toast, extra napkins, etc. Unfortunately, on each visit no one came back to check up on us after the food was dropped. Not a deal breaker and I'll continue to eat here, but the service could be elevated a bit. Limited free parking in front or plenty of metered parking on Fairfax Avenue.

We both ordered the traditional breakfast plates and it definitely did not disappoint. It was a pretty large breakfast with bacon, eggs, potatoes, a croissant and two crepes with your choice of hot sauces around the table. We ate so much and still had so much to bring home. This did us good for two meals and I loved the incorporation of the crepes, which I feel like you normally don't get on a traditional breakfast plates. The potatoes were crispy and crunchy on the outside but a very nice soft potatoey texture on the inside and of course the bacon was exactly how bacon should be when you order it. Wished I ordered orange juice or another coffee drink instead because the chai latte was just a bit too sweet for my liking, but I still drank the whole thing. There was a water dispenser provided with to go boxes self serve which I really appreciated. Loved the atmosphere as well and the bathroom was very clean.
