I was recently introduced me to this hidden gem and I was not disappointed. We had the option of being seated indoor or outdoor. The ambiance outside wasn't very appealing so we decided to sit indoor. I ordered the shrimp and crab cake Benedict. The flavor was deliciously surprising. It was some sort of jam in between the crab cake and that honestly made the sandwich 10/10. All the flavors blended perfectly together. The potatoes were also very good, I enjoyed the light crisp. The strawberry lemonade was very tasty. I also ordered a side of bacon, definitely good quality. The service was pretty good as well. However towards the end the server was taking a while to bring in the check. I will definitely be back.

Really loved this breakfast spot and I was surprised to learn they had multiple locations. Only downside was the parking. They have a very small parking lot so you have to find a spot on the street and depending on the day and hour, it can be a little tough. No reservations needed, came on a Sunday morning and we were seated fairly quickly. Service was good, no complaints. I really liked the menu because they use high quality eggs and a variety of options. Opted for the protein lovers omelette and wow, flavor was so good and the side of potatoes were seasoned perfectly!! The cafe de olla was amazing as well. Flavorful, with a hint of sweetness. Also tried the French toast and it was really really good, soft with the perfect texture. Would come back again!!

After searching for good breakfast spots in LA, I found this cozy and casual place. Parking was a bit confusing at first--the entrance looks like it's on Sunset, but that lot is for Citi Bank. Their parking is very limited and located on the Park Ave side. I ordered the chilaquiles and the French toast sampler, which included a limited-time coffee pancake. The food wasn't as warm as expected, but overall everything was still enjoyable. I didn't really care for the beans, but the rice was very good. I highly recommend the Strawberry & Mascarpone French toast. The service was great. A female server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. My chilaquiles came without eggs by mistake, but they fixed it right away. The house coffee was smooth and good as well.

Came here with colleagues to celebrate two birthdays. Everything was delicious!! Our meals included the grilled turkey sandwich with fries, chilaquiles, etc. See pics. Our server Lindsey was fantastic, sweet and efficient. The comped bday desserts with candles were a surprise and made everyone happy! Thanks for the generosity bc not many restaurants do this anymore. The restaurant got a little loud where it was hard to hear each other talk. Patio seating available. Quaint place and merchandise. My favs were the Nice Cock T-shirt and eggs furniture. Small parking area adjacent to the restaurant; otherwise, hard to find street parking.

8:15am on Thursday morning, my wife and I decided to grab breakfast before starting our work day. On Sunset you've got some options, we've had Breakfast Republic in San Diego before but yet to try this Los Angeles location. "Let's do it" Parking was easy, they've got a small lot maybe fit for 5 cars. We pulled up and pulled in. Within seconds of entering we were greeted with a warm welcome and offered open seating of our choice. Immediately the interior decor made an impression. Some insightful and positive hand painted quotes throughout the restaurant. Let's get to the Menu. Breakfast to Brunch What I ate? - Organic Black Iced Tea 4/5 - Espresso Martini 4/5 - Jalapeño Bacon Cheddar Omelet w/ Sourdough 5/5 The kitchen nailed it. The names and ingredients are pretty straight forward. The omelets are prepared with 3 eggs a side of house potatoes and a choice of bread. Butter and a house jam. Nothing fancy, no culinary revelations, but very well prepared, very fresh and satisfaction with every bit and bite. I originally sat down with a plan to eat half and save the rest for later but plan derailed. It's the kind of good that I felt I needed to enjoy while it was at its peak flavor profile haha! You'll find cocktails and other drinks on the menu also they have a full bar. Decided put their bar to the test and topped the meal off with an espresso martini. No regrets. Something fun: Went to the restroom and Joni Mitchell's "Don't know what you got til it's gone" was playing, and as I flipped the latch to lock the door a message interrupted the song. "You don't know what you got til it's gone, so please let us know if supplies are running low" and then the song continued playing. Haha! Good place for a nice sit down, with no disappointments. Good job Breakfast Republic.

I came here on a whim while in the Silver Lake area. It's not very big but it is a very cute restaurant with breakfast themed decor including chairs that look like eggs. The staff were friendly and welcoming and attentive. I only had one dish which was the chilaquiles. It was very good. I appreciated that instead of a whopping amount of chips (which is typical) the dish had a just right amount of chips and included rice and beans. It's still perfect for sharing though. I would definitely return to try other dishes.

First time at Breakfast Republic, and it exceeded expectations. Great location, phenomenal service, and delicious food. Dan was our server and went above and beyond--attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were excellent. We also shared a side of cinnamon pancakes (highly recommend). My husband had a breakfast plate with well-done fries, which he loved. Coffee was solid, and the café de la olla was my absolute favorite. Highly recommend this spot. We'll definitely be back.

From the moment I walked inside, I fell in love with this restaurant! It's full of great things to check out inside and the food did not disappoint! I had potatoes and eggs that were made to perfection, my sister had the chilaquiles, crispy, and full of flavor! My brother had the cinnamon roll pancakes, and a holy Moses! lucky for me he was willing to share They also have some pretty epic merch! Definitely recommend you check this place out

Crab and Crawfish cake Benedict

Had this on my list of places to try for brunch, and finally decided to go and check it out. There was a wait in Sunday which is to be expected. Was about a thirty minute wait, so not terrible. There are no reservations and it is first come, first served. Tried calling ahead to get in a wait-list but no answer. Either way, 30 minute wait and we were in. Plenty of choices for food, so we tried a few to get a good idea of the cuisine. First out was the French toast trio. They banana split French toast was very flavorful, with bruleed bananas, vanilla ice creams, walnuts and chocolate drizzle. Had some nice texture with that brulee and the walnut for crunch. Just a nice bite. The s'mores French toast tasted like you were biting into a smore. While it was good, it wasn't my favorite on the plate. That designation went to the limited time berry crumble French toast, which is stuffed with a berry compote and topped with a brown sugar crumble, vanilla ice cream and berry sauce. Was, by far, the best of the French toast IMO. The crab and crawfish cake benedict was also very good, has nice flavor to the crab cake itself. The eggs were overpoached, however, so cutting out then you didn't get that gush of yolk you expect. Instead it was more of a soft boil inside. So that was disappointing. And the chilaquiles were also recommended, and they did have good forgot to them. The issue I had was that the tortilla chips were all might, having been covered in red salsa. So you didn't get that texture crunch that you would want from the tortilla chip. Also, my eggs were sunny side up but they also were a little overcooked so they didn't run out when cutting into them. Overall, people were nice, food had flavor, but there were some execution issues we had with a couple of the dishes themselves. Definitely try the French toast as their French toast game is on point!

California Breakfast Burrito

This past weekend I tried Breakfast Republic. It was really busy so the ambiance was definitely loud and lively, very brunch energy. My boyfriend got the cluck burger with potatoes and I had the breakfast burrito. The burrito was okay, but the dirty chai latte was actually really good. We did show up close to closing so some of the items we wanted were sold out, which we totally understand. Service was okay, the servers were clearly juggling a lot of tables and still doing their best.

Walking around the area before heading to DTLA, decided to try since they open at 7 (really like 7.15 but its ok) Walked into an empty place with 2 patrons and one waiting for food. The menu outside looked good, so I knew what to order, breakfast burrito subbing carne asada for all-in bacon. Came served with black beans (good) and Spanish rice (reheat, not good, tasted like bulgur.) The burrito is gigantic; had trouble finishing half and I'm a heavy eater. Requested crispy bacon (twice) it wasn't, (fatty and undercooked) mashed in and scrambled with the egg; I like more whole-cut, separate pieces in the burrito so I can taste and feel the crunch; wasn't possible here just one big glob with the potatoes and cheese all fused together, too much potatoes overloading the burrito. In all, for 23 bucks with tax n tip no drink, wanted something more desirable. It's not bad at all, but nothing to come back for. House hot sauce and unique house made ketchup bottles at table are nice, but this dish really sorely needed a Pico de Gallo, but just wanted to be done with and leave. Plenty of street parking just a block or two up, early in the mornings on a Sat at least.

To end the night before we headed off to dinner, we stopped by The Semi- Tropic bar for drinks. The parking situation was difficult to say the least-- there is no street parking or parking lot. And the neighborhood behind the bar is filled with park cars. We were lucky and parked at a parking lot that was for the surrounding business (so sorry to the pizza/ weed shop!). We arrived at around 6:30 PM so it wasn't too busy. We were greeted by one of the servers and she gave us options to either sit at a lounge table area or hightop tables. We opted for the hightop tables because we knew we weren't staying there for long. The server was friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for drinks. I've been sober for about a year so I only had water, my boyfriend ordered a Naoshima Dream, his cousin ordered a Mango Cart, and his cousin's girlfriend ordered a Lemon Drop Martini. The bar was super cute and hipster! I honestly would have loved going to this bar back when I used to drink. It's dimly lit, had a vintage 20's speakeasy feel to it and the music was a vibe. I'd recommend coming here for a little date with your partner or even coming with a group of friends. My boyfriend had been here once before and he said the food was really good and affordable. He had a panini and said for bar food it was a 10/10. We waited maybe like 10 minutes for our drinks to come, we were having such a fun time chatting and enjoying the environment that it didn't feel long at all. My boyfriend, his cousin, and his cousin's girlfriend really enjoyed their drinks. They said the drinks tasted "light" insinuating that there was barely any alcohol in it. Don't let the taste fool you, after finishing half of their drink there were full of smiles, giggles, and had a great buzz going. The prices here were all pretty fair for the cost and quality of the drinks. Would defintely recommend coming here for drinks and dinner for a date night or a night out with friends!

Indoor and outdoor seating available, Bar Henry is a cool little for in Echo Park serving up tasty cocktails in a friendly, local feeling environment. We tried a few cocktails when we visited. The Butthole Surfer is their version of a pina colada which, while decent, could have been a little more flavor forward. Feel it is premade in batches as I didn't see it made fresh but was brought getting the back, but still decent. The Lucid Dream had the smokiness from the mezcal posted with the mandarin, but then the rosemary comes in and helps add a little balance to the drink. The Swimsuit Edition was more flavor forward, but the passion fruit didn't necessarily pop in the drink for us. And finally was the Snitches Get Stitches, another mezcal drink with mango and horchats. Interesting was my first thought, then you start getting the nuances of the different interested and it's a respectable cocktail. Overall, good drinks, friendly people, chill atmosphere, and a nice addition to the bar scene in Echo Park
