This review is for the food truck in the rear of the restaurant. They offer their own hours and menu when the restaurant is closed. It's a brunch truck that also offers drinks. The location is a few blocks off the water. So it's a common gathering spot for beach goers. Parking is in their own lot, or wherever you can find it. There is a lot of legal off city street spots. I've been wanting to check Chics Laundry out for months and thought I would ease in with a visit to the trucked named Chics Laundry Cart. I was blown away by the set up. A really nice patio / bar adjacent to the truck. It's a great vibe for sure. Everything was spotless. Fans help with the summer heat. Ordering for food is at the bar. Hand held menus are provided. I thought this set up would work great with a QR system at the table. A few different types of breakfast sandwiches with bagels or brioche offerings. A few sweet treats too including a house coffee cake. For coffee lovers you won't be disappointed by local Pinup. They have a full line up of alcohol too! Service at the bar was fantastic! Food pushed out quickly. My daughter a sour cream & onion bagel smear. I got a sausage, egg & cheese on everything bagel. Also a doughnut we split. To drink Pinup coffee. We loved every bite. We had an amazing dinner here while visiting Norfolk! The wine and cocktails were excellent, and every dish we ordered was outstanding. We started with the arancini and rolls, then enjoyed the ribeye and the bolognese--everything was absolutely delicious. Also love that they are seed oil free and cook with beef tallow and Avocado oil. Our server, Trent, was fantastic, and the GM, Russell, even stopped by our table to make sure everything was perfect, which was a really nice touch. Had the pleasure of dining here twice already and can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants in Virginia Beach that we have tried so far. Showstopper appetizers include the Parker House Rolls, Clams and Sausage in Annatto Broth, Bluefin Tuna Crudo and the Tartare & Tallow Fries. We also tried the Oysters Rockefeller, but they weren't our favorite. For dinner, I highly recommend the Lumache Bolognese and the From the Sea rotating fish special. The two times we visited, the fish feature was halibut, and the entire dish was divine. Looking forward to trying more entrees (I've got my eye on the Filet and The Cart Burger). Trent was our server both times and was a total delight, making great recommendations and ensuring that all of our needs were met. This made for a great experience all the way around. I've wanted to try Chic's Laundry since it opened a couple of months ago to rave reviews. The location, on Lookout Road in Chic's Beach, is the former home of Zia Maria. My recent visit was because my son's flight back to NYC on Mother's Day evening was cancelled. My task, which seemed to be insurmountable, was to find a restaurant where I really wanted to go. A search at that hour on Mother's Day evening kept coming up futile. Every place I checked was either closed or had no availability. Chic's Laundry was my first choice. All they offered that night was the wait list. One had to be there in 10 minutes if a table opened. We could get there easily. But my son wasn't yet home. I had to wait until he arrived to try and book. When he walked in I told him about the Wait List and went back into the Resy App to book. To my surprise there were two time slots that had opened up at 8:30 & 9. I was a relieved Mom. We arrived to friendly Valet Parking attendants, which is a "must have" in that section of Chic's Beach so popular with beach goers and so familiar to me. The space has undergone an extensive remodeling. It is now a beautiful comfortable restaurant with the center area that separates restaurant seating from bar seating featuring two levels of vintage sewing machines from my Grandmother's era. How unique! I loved the remodeled space that actually looked like a newly built restaurant. Even the bathroom was unique. The customary silver handicap railing, towel dispensers, actually all the accessories were gold. It immediately caught your eye and was beautiful rather than mundane. We were first seated at a comfortable cozy table near the door. But I had my son ask if we could be moved because of a ceiling speaker directly over the table. Suffering from an overdose of the medication for my vocal disorder, I haven't been able to speak above a whisper for weeks. There was no way to carry on a conversation at the table. The hostess understood and immediately moved us. The menu choices offered items that would suit anyone's preference. We began with cocktails and their awesome house made Parker House Rolls, which were so hot from the oven that a burn warning could have been issued. My cocktail was a Vodka Martini. My son chose the French Laundry. We immediately wondered if it was named for the renowned restaurant with that name in San Francisco. It consisted of Absolut Pears Vodka - Pistachio Syrup - Lemon Juice - Sparkling Wine. The cocktail, wine & beer menu was extensive. Our server indicated that all their cocktail syrups were house made. We debated as to whether Chic's Laundry had been named for the French Laundry. Our friendly and attentive server said it was named because the building was originally used as a laundry. I can't help but suspect that the owner must be familiar with the San Francisco restaurant, especially considering the name of the drink on the menu. My son started with the Crudo with strawberry aguachile, local strawberries, avocado, shaved jalapeño & squid ink oil. Our server indicated that the farm to table restaurant liked to source their produce from Pungo. Therefore one would see strawberries, rather than tomatoes in menu choices. I absolutely love this. My entree was amazing. The Tile Fish was atop a white bean stew, spring vegetables with housemade chili crisp. The pairing of the fish and stew was an amazing mix. There was an ample portion of stew, a wonderful change from many restaurants who include very small portions of the dish additions, The Kombu Cured Salmon with lemon butter sauce, fine herb oil & spring vegetable was my son's choice. He also added the Loaded Potato Purée with roasted potato cream, scallion, melted cheddar & sour cream as a side. Normally the side also includes bacon. The server indicated that it could be excluded due to his Pescatarian diet. Chic's Laundry is definitely a spot that all serious foodies should patronize. Struggled to review Chic's Laundry. While the restaurant is beautiful and vibey, I don't think they've really figured out their identity yet. The restaurant is still new, and they make some really yummy things, but in the Chicks Beach area, I have expectations. Arising as the new boutique restaurant of the area, I want elevated VB. I want seafood to be the star of the menu, and that wasn't the case. Nothing was bad per se - it just didn't meet the expectations for what I thought its potential was. The menu felt basic, with the drinks being the stars of the evening. I would go back for cocktails before a night out, but I would wait awhile before heading back for food. Of what we tasted, the rolls were delicious! The octopus toast was okay, I wouldn't get it again. Too busy and the octopus wasn't the star of the dish as I thought it'd be. The entrees were expensive and didn't come with sides (so we opted to skip them since we got appetizers). Both were good enough. As I noted before, the drinks were very good. We've been to Chic's Laundry twice now and adore this place. The ambiance, the service, and the food all deliver. I have to give serious KUDOS to their management for pulling off such a smooth and successful opening. We were lucky enough to try during their soft opening and also now that it has been open for a few months and they've kept up the quality in all areas. At this point, we've tried a large majority of their menu and the ONLY item we truly didn't love was the Tinned Fish service. Drinks: I love the Leaky Tiki and the French Laundry. Also love that the Chics Laundry can have a caviar bump added on! Their play on the espresso martini is also great. Their bartenders have serious skill. l Appetizers: Don't skip the Clams & Sausage in Annotto Broth, just be sure to ask for extra sourdough. We also loved the Beef Tartare with Tallow Fries! Entrees: Burger is fantastic, as is the salmon and the pork ribeye. So our first visit to Chic's laundry was sadly not up to our expectations. First, the highlights: The atmosphere is nice, and the vibe of the restaurant was inviting and had a light/coastal vibe and open kitchen. Service was great as well, no problems there. We ordered the tinned fish as an appetizer as well as the tuna crudo. The tinned fish was delicious, but we felt like the amount of bread was excessive for one small tin of fish and only two people, but I guess too much is better than not enough. Maybe it would be better to give 3 pieces or so and if more is needed it is offered at no charge up to a certain amount. The tuna crudo was fine as well, nothing to write home about. The main issue we had was with the entrees. I ordered the market fish which I believe was flounder (I only don't remember because it has been a few weeks since we ate there, and I'm just now getting around to finishing my review). It was cooked perfectly, but really lacked seasoning. Chefs must not be tasting food before they send the food out, or we were just unlucky. The ribeye steak, to be cooked medium rare, came out on a very hot sizzling plate? I really could not make sense of this one at all. Steak needs to rest after it cooks, so sending it out on a hot plate will overcook the steak if you leave it on there to eat it. Idk it just felt very fajitas at a Mexican restaurant vs a $64 ribeye. It was also very under seasoned. And for a place that doesn't leave salt and pepper on the table, you'd think that means the food is seasoned properly. Maybe some of the kinks will be worked out once they get more established and aren't so new and can implement some customer feedback. We'd be willing to try it out again in a year or so. read more

I've been wanting to try Chic's Laundry for a while, and it immediately became one of my top dining experiences since moving to Virginia. From the moment you walk in, the service sets the tone. The host was right there to greet me immediately--warm, welcoming, and organized. That first impression really matters, and they nailed it. What really stood out to me, beyond the food itself, is how visually and aesthetically beautiful everything is when it arrives at the table. Every dish feels intentionally presented and elevated. The Parker House rolls come out in a mini cast-iron pan, staying warm and soft with flaky sea salt and whipped butter that melts right into them--absolutely unforgettable. The filet mignon also arrives in a cast-iron pan, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The fries come in a small fry basket that adds to the charm, and even the roasted broccoli is served in its own mini cast-iron dish. Everything feels thoughtful, cohesive, and visually impressive without being overdone. I also ordered a tiki-style cocktail, which was not only delicious but served with an edible flower--another example of how much attention they put into presentation. Everything on the table just looks appealing the moment it arrives. The food itself was excellent. The bacon-wrapped filet was cooked perfectly on the first try. If I had one small note, I would've loved a little more bourbon sauce and a few more crispy onion straws, but overall it was very well executed. The Parker House rolls were a standout on their own--warm, soft, and absolutely addictive. I also tried the arancini, which were very good--crispy, creamy, and paired with an incredible cheese sauce. I do wonder if they're made in-house or sourced, but either way, the execution was excellent. For dessert, I had the s'mores-style dessert with a chocolate center, crust, and whipped topping served with caramel sauce. It was rich, creative, and very satisfying. My only note would be that I think it would've been even better slightly warmed, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly and couldn't stop eating it. Even the fries were solid, and while the roasted broccoli was a bit undercooked for my taste, everything else more than made up for it. What really stood out overall was consistency and execution. I didn't have to send anything back--everything came out correctly and on time, which says a lot. The atmosphere and management also deserve mention. I had the chance to speak with the manager, Russell, who was genuinely kind and engaged. It's clear there's pride behind the operation here, and it shows in both the food and the service. We've tried to get in a few times before without success, so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. I was lucky to have one today, and it made all the difference. I've been waiting for Chic's Laundry to open, so I was excited to finally check it out. We made a reservation on Resy, which made things super easy. From the moment we walked in, the space immediately stood out. The interior is incredibly clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It feels polished but still welcoming! Definitely a spot you could dress up for or keep casual. We started with drinks and ordered the Champagne and Cigarettes and the Keep It Movin. Both were great choices to kick off the evening, balanced, refreshing, and a little fun. Then we decided to splurge on food, and I'm so glad we did. For starters we ordered the arancini, Parker House rolls, Caesar salad, and tallow fries. The arancini were crispy on the outside with creamy risotto inside, topped with stracciatella and parmesan ... super flavorful. The Caesar was fresh and crunchy with bibb and romaine, anchovy dressing, parmigiano, and sourdough breadcrumbs that added great texture. I think I can rave about the Parker House rolls for days. These are baked to order and come out warm with toasted nori butter, and wow... they were incredible. Soft, fluffy, slightly sweet, and the butter adds such a unique savory touch. Honestly, I could come back just for those. For our entrees, we ordered the hot honey pepperoni pizza and the 8oz sirloin finished with a bourbon beef reduction and served with loaded potato purée. The pizza had the perfect balance of sweet heat, and the crust was fantastic. The sirloin was cooked beautifully and the bourbon reduction added a rich depth of flavor. Tonight we had dinner at Chic's Laundry, located at 4497 Lookout Road in the Chic's Beach section of Virginia Beach. I rarely write reviews for newly opened restaurants because the staff is usually learning systems and acclimating to the overall rhythm of a new operation. It often feels unfair to judge a restaurant while it's still finding its footing. That said, Chic's Laundry is the exception. The staff--both front and back of house--are on point and firing on all cylinders. Chic's Laundry opened to the general public just two days ago, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, but you would think they had been open for years. The service was outstanding both at the bar and tableside. We made a reservation (highly recommended), but we arrived a little early. Coming from Chesapeake, we weren't sure what traffic would be like getting there. The hostess greeted us right away, took our name, and asked if we'd like a cocktail while our table was being prepared. We decided to have a drink at the bar. My wife ordered the Laundry Old Fashioned, while I had a sparkling water with lime. Our drinks were prepared quickly and were excellent. A nice touch was the orange peel garnish on the Old Fashioned, adorned with the CL initials. Shortly afterward we were shown to our table. One pleasant surprise was that our drink order had already been transferred there for us. Our server, Sarah, was very helpful with menu questions and suggestions. To start, we ordered the Parker House Rolls ($8). They were served in a cast iron skillet so they stayed hot from the first bite to the last. They came with toasted nori-infused whipped butter, which was absolutely delicious. We also tried the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza ($20). This was one of the best pizzas I've ever had and I highly recommend trying it. The crust was crispy yet soft in the center in that "how do they do that?" kind of way. The sauce was flavorful and properly proportioned so it didn't overwhelm the pizza. They use mini cup pepperoni, which were slightly crisped and packed with flavor. A fantastic pizza. For dinner, my wife had the Grilled Pork Ribeye, served with braised greens. The pork ribeye was cooked perfectly and properly seasoned. It was served with an orange jus reduction, shaved fennel, and orange supremes. An outstanding dish. I'm always partial to a good burger, and if you are too, check out The Cart Burger ($20). It features two house-ground beef patties grilled to perfection and topped with grilled onions, tomato, special sauce, and pickle-brined lettuce on a benne seed potato roll. It comes with a side of tallow fries, which were absolutely amazing and not to be missed. For dessert we tried the Dark Chocolate Pot de Crème ($10), consisting of dark chocolate, Old Bay caramel, house-made whipped cream, and peanut brittle on top. It was excellent and a perfect way to finish the meal. If you're looking for a night out that feels a little special, Chic's Laundry is well worth a visit. I heard great things from many friends on Yelp about CL, so it went on the list of places to try out when I am on the other side of the water. HOT TIP: Make a reservation, as far in advance if possible. It is worth it. PARKING: Parking can be tricky, and I am sure it is hard during a busy time or in season. There is valet parking, and street parking. I recommend using a ride share service, or trying to go in one car so that parking is not a stress. INTERIOR/ATMOSPHERE: Small, but packs a lot in. It is a little tight in some areas, and the front hostess area there is a few seats to sit in and wait for your table. Lots of neutral colors surround the interior with booth and chair seating. Natural light fills the dining area with the help of large windows. The lights from the cars that park in front can blind your temporarily in the evening. When I was there around 8pm, it was pretty loud. It was hard to concentrate on my conversation. It was very clean and well put together. There is a small bar area to the left when you walk in. SERVICE: The service we received was good. Our waitress did seem to be a little distracted, but she did a good job. She was able to explain dishes to us and gave us some recommendations. FOOD/MENU: The menu is not overwhelming at all. The drink menu is a little more in depth. They do offer at least 4 mocktail drinks. I wish there were more, but there is still time. I truly believe the market is making a change, and people are looking for more mocktails more and more. The food we had was amazing! It really lived up to the hype. I ordered the yeast rolls, the soup with a crabcake, the bacon wrapped filet and the loaded potato puree. The soup had a fresh taste to it and the crabcake that laid on the top was full of flavor. My bacon wrapped filet was like butter. It had a great soft melt in your mouth texture. The sauce it was laid on was a little salty, but it was rich in flavor as well. I did get my steak medium well and it was perfectly cooked. The loaded potato puree was so rich and flavorful. The pasta bolognese looked so good from the table next to us, that my friend ordered it. She devoured it. She did get the broccoli as a side. It looked delicious. Lastly, the yeast rolls. They were amazing. The salt on the top, a nice mild outer crisp, with a smooth interior paired perfectly with the seasoned soft butter. My friend was in love with the rolls as was I. They were amazing. As someone who has relocated to Virginia Beach from the DC area, Chics Laundry has quickly become one of my favorite spots, and I've been twice for dinner and twice for the Laundry Cart breakfast, so I think it's safe to say I'm becoming a regular, lol. My first dinner visit was with my husband shortly after they opened. The food and service that night set the bar high. We ordered the bacon wrapped filet, braised octopus and shrimp bruschetta, the salmon or pork ribeye house parker rolls, braised greens, loaded potatoes, and two cocktails: the Leaky Tiki and the Beachside Barrel. Everything was delicious and arrived hot, which sounds like a given but isn't always the case at restaurants. My second dinner was a girls' birthday celebration for 10 people last night, and Chics Laundry absolutely delivered. I reached out in advance because it is hard to get a reservation and especially during the more "normal" dining times not knowing what to expect, and Rachael was wonderful. She was responsive, informative, and made the whole process easy. The night itself exceeded every expectation. Our waitress/server, Kailey, was attentive and thoughtful (She even found a small vase for a bouquet a friend brought me), and at the end of the night, they split all of our checks individually and without a single error. For a party our size, that alone earned a standing ovation from the table. I will say that service-wise, our waitress/server was much more personable and attentive than my first timing coming in with my husband. As we were getting ready to leave, a gentleman came by (perhaps the gm, but I'm not quite sure) and checked in on our experience and shared information about reservations and the laundry cart, which was also really nice. It sounds like the bar is first come first serve and you can also check out their back patio which is also first come first serve for dining and cocktails. The Laundry Cart experience is a completely different vibe. It's relaxed, casual, and perfect for a beautiful morning. Small menu, friendly staff, great outdoor setup, and you're just a short walk from the beach. I usually get the cart burger and a hash brown and they're both delicious and seasoned well. The most recent time I went to the laundry cart, which was this past Friday morning, their baker made coffee cake which was a treat because it wasn't on the menu and it wasn't loaded with sugar. Both times I've brought my dog, someone has had treats ready and waiting. Chics Laundry does both atmospheres well with great service, and that's rare, in Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads area. I had heard mixed reviews, but was still hopeful. I wasn't a huge fan of the menu. In my opinion I feel like the majority of the items are over complicated so I tried the burger (not much flavor at all), collards (the sauce was just too aggressive), broccoli (not cooked enough), fries, and rolls. The rolls were delicious, but I really disliked that nori butter that is served with it. I hope that the restaurant does well, but I probably won't go back. read more

Enjoyed a lunch date with my hubby at this newly opened restaurant in the Chics beach area. Highly recommend a reservation because they are slammin in here and very popular. If you walk in without a reservation you're bound to be seated at the bar. And that's only if you show up as soon as they open because there was a line waiting to be seated. The interior decor was modern and chic. Even the bar seating area was nice. The food was different but delicious. When I say different, I am talking about an Asian, American, seafood fusion. The flavors were different from what I've ever had but we thoroughly enjoyed every dish! For appetizers we ordered the Parker House Rolls & Arancini. The order came with 5 freshly made yeast rolls with a side of nori butter spread. I loved that it came out nice and warm and it instantly melted the butter. Be aware the herb butter does have a slight fishy taste because it does have seaweed (nori) in it. The Arancini was delish and pretty much like fried risotto balls. The outside was crispy and inside was soft and fluffy. It kind of reminded me of tater tots. My husband ordered the Salmon and it came with a side of broccoli. It was the best tasting salmon I've ever had. Flavorful, soft and tender with a nice crispy skin. The sauce under the salmon was soooo good! It reminded me of a white wine lemon butter sauce and the broccoli was also flavorful. It might be overwhelming if you're use to a traditional basic side broccoli dish. It had a nice crispy panko sprinkle on top and slightly spicy with black pepper taste. Our drinks were 10/10 and highly recommend. My husband said the old fashion was top 3 he has ever had and he's an Old fashion guy. I ordered the Keep it movin' and it reminded me of an espresso martini but even better. I ordered the Cart Burger with Tallow fries. The burger was average to me but I was also stuffed at this point. My husband tried it and said it was delicious. He said it was so soft and tender compared to most burgers and came with two patties. The tallow fries were the best part! They were crispy yet light and airy. They were so good I ordered an extra side to take home. We use to live in Chic's and am happy to have this restaurant open in the area. It's a great addition and we highly recommend everyone give it a try. We'll definitely be back. One recommendation is bigger entree portions please. My husband said the salmon portion was small so he left feeling hungry. It needed a side of carbs and should've came with potatoes or something. Seems like other entrees coming out were all small portions as well similar to fine dining restaurants. Other than that, we really enjoyed our meal and can't wait to try more things on the menu. The food tasted great. I got the salmon which was crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside. The broccoli had excellent flavor and had a nice roast. The star of the show for me was the beef tartare, it was paired well with the tallow fries. I did make a reservation however since I was by myself they sat me at the bar. I wish I would have been seated at a table but that's fine. The overall experience was nice and the price was fair, also they have valet parking. read more

We visited Chic's last weekend (Friday evening) and really enjoyed it. Overall: tasty, fresh, and original menu; service, good and cocktails were a great experience. No reservation but we were able to get into the bar and had a wonderful experience. Ambiance: hard to believe this place isn't even a month old; interior is well appointed and vibrant but not too noisy (which I was surprised about, based on the size). My girlfriend and I sat at the bat and enjoyed it immensely. Food and beverage: cocktails (Rye Manhattan up - me / lady had the house Dirty Laundry martini (and was offered gin or vodka - love it!) Both cocktails were outstanding and made with attention to detail; had a lovely Sardinian red with dinner. For dinner, we had the bolognese and one of the pizzas; the sourdough crust of the pizza and fresh-made house pasta stood out with both of these outstanding fresh entrees. We also had a chance to try a house aperitif blended by the bartenders which was outstanding. The reason why this is 4 and not 5 stars is because we ordered a Caesar salad as a starter that did not come out and the service staff wanted to bring with our entrees (we simply didn't have the space for it at the bar). That said, I do look forward to trying this in the future. Price point: reasonably priced for Virginia Beach / East Ocean View and the quality / level of service you receive. I am concerned they won't make it. Price point, portion sizes and food quality are of concern. Dinner for two: two cocktails, two appetizers and two entrée = $150. Clam appetizer was $20+ and had 5 small clams. Food quality, view/location, ambience is not good enough to command the high price point. Also you need to purchase your bread - 4 yeast rolls = $8. Restaurant is busy now due to it being a new restaurant but I fear it won't last due to the reasons above. I really hope they change things up for longevity. read more

Definitely worth the wait and a good addition to the neighborhood. There seems to be plenty of parking but the parking in front is scary....for the restaurant. I hope no one ever hits the wrong pedal. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a nod to the laundromat with a wall of old sewing machines. Nice! Small bar and booths on the kitchen side. Tables are close together so dont go with a loud talker or someone that drops the F bomb all the time. You might get looks. The menu is small. We started with the Parker Rolls and Arancini. Delicious....butter is homemade. I got the bolognese.....pasta is made in house. Not a huge portion which is refreshing. My friend got the caeser with salmon. It was a bit salty and we gave them that feedback. Absolutely LOVED the crunchies. If you go, you will know. Better than your typical crouton. I can't wait for the patio to open. Bathrooms are clean. Still a few kinks.....AC wasnt working. The menu is no where on line which is frustrating. But the staff was friendly and pretty knowledgeable. If I lived in Chics Beach I would go more often. I had the pleasure of dining outside and inside (during a storm). The ambiance is very welcoming in either area and offers a style of simple beach comfort and elevated vibe. Our servers were both so attentive and helpful understanding what items would be best for our party. I had the oysters, rolls, bisque and tart on our first visit. OMG the corn bisque and the CRAB CAKE inside, mind blowing, great balance as Dinner or Lunch. My second time, I had the beef pita bread, ROLLS AGAIN cause OMG they are soooo warm and buttery. I tried a mocktail, the lemon meringue, so light, no lemon overwhelm and the TOP, wow! ALSO, the sourdough ice cream, that was dangerously delicious. Really enjoyed this meal! I rate it a 5 based on my perspective, and a 4.5 from my husband because of drink experience. We started with the rolls that had an amazing, smoky, flaky sea salt and herb butter in addition to the tartare. The fries that came with the tartare were literally like top 3 best fries I've ever had. I am typically a skinny fry lover but these had a perfect crunch and were seasoned so well. Not a fan of the Dijon that comes with this dish because it was more mayo than mustardy but I'm sure others would like it. I had the burger as my main, husband got pork ribeye. My burger was delicious and I was pumped to have more of the epic fries. Pork was perfectly cooked, and the greens that came with it were great (and I don't like collards!) They have wonderful sparkling water that I've never heard of (added a pic). This is definitely a limited menu but they have all the bases covered (beef, pork, pizza, a few handhelds, etc) that are all done well. Husband said the old fashioned was great but he was disappointed in the dirty martini. We couldn't tell if they had just made the one on the menu or if it was just the house made vermouth, he just wanted a classic tini. Wasn't bad, just not his cup of tea. My only critique- I wish I had a dash of salt on my burger and the tartare but there wasn't any on the table. I'm sure we could have asked for it lol. Good atmosphere and vibe. Food was really good quality but the portions are not good, entirely too small for the high price point. Also, the service was not the best, no one brought us silverware and we had to ask 3 times, even after the meal came. The waitress then got an attitude because we had to ask another waitress for silverware so we could finally eat. The waitress then forgot to bring an appetizer we ordered, and by the time the food came it was slightly cold. The clams and sausage $20 appetizer had literally no sausage in it and like 5 clams. I know they are a new restaurant and I have confidence they will figure this all out but, they have to increase the portion sizes! read more

We live in Chic's Beach and have been trying to get a reservation for a few months. It finally happened and did not disappoint. The service is great, atmosphere is perfect for Chic's Beach, and the food was top shelf. Russell the GM took an interest in us and our server Nikki was awesome. It took another 15 to put in our drink orders & another 15 to receive them (glass of wine & a beer). They also arrived separately. Similar situation with food. 10/10 experience! Literally an answered prayer. I have been manifesting a restaurant closer to ocean view with amazing cocktails and good food and chic's laundry HAS DELIVERED!!! Was invited to the soft launch the saturday before it opened. Found a parking spot in the lot which was an unexpected surprise (we did go early, 530pm reservation. Walked in and was greeted with a smile right away by the hostess. Took our names and immediately lead us to a two top. Glancing at the bar on my way in, it was very cute, maybe 8 seats available at the bar. Menu is not extensive but definitely has some great options. We ordered the laundry old fashion and the French laundry. Usually I would order an appetizer, the seafood bruschetta sounded really good but my date was not open to it so we skipped. I regret it. We received our drinks within 7 minutes and ordered the burger and a truffle and mushroom pizza. The old fashion ( Bulleit Bourbon - Ron Zacapa 23 Rum - Oolong Black Tea Syrup - Orange Bitters -Melted Coconut Oil - $14 )was served over an ice ball and Had an orange peel with Cl burned into it- no cherry. It was smooth. Robust with a cinnamon flavor to it. 7/10 if I were comparing to the best old fashion I have ever had. The French laundry (Absolut Pears Vodka, Pistachio Syrup, Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice, Sparkling Wine - $14 )was beautiful served in a larger champagne coupe over pellet ice and a white flower as a garnish. It was cold, light in flavor, so creamy and a lovely pale green. The food came out within 10 minutes and HERE WE GO! The burger- 2 juicy patties layered with tomato, lettuce, melted cheese and a sesame seed bun that was soft on the inside while having a wonderful crunch as you bit into it. Melt in your mouth burger. My mouth is watering reliving the experience. Served with THEEICK cut fries prepared in BEEF TALLOW. We actually both grabbed a fry first and hoffhoffhoff bc she was like... fresh out the fryer but it was so worth it. Noticed our neighbor in the seat next to us literally hoffhoffhoffing as well bc she had the same idea to dig in. We all laughed about it and continued digging into this cup of beefy golden goodness. The burger and fries were served with HOUSE MADE mayo and ketchup(they did not say this was homemade) and all were perfect compliments to the meal. The truffle mushroom pizza- full of flavor, umami and incredible texture. Crunchy dough, warm cheeses with robust flavors which we were both licking our fingers after finishing each slice. I brought three slices home to the husband who had a bite cold later that night and snapped his neck looking at me saying "how it is cold and still have a crunch to it?" I urged him to air fry it along with the FIVE fries I asked our server Heather to box up. She did ask if I'm sure I wanted them bc there were so few and um.. absolutely we are not wasting a crumb! Husband even made fun of me boxing 5 fries up until HE TRIED ONE! Then he understood and thanked me for being a weirdo. I watched him eat the air fried pizza and the joy he had with every bite. Usually we add red pepper flakes and dip our pizza in ranch and he just stood there over the air fryer bite after bite without even thinking he needed to add anything to it. We discussed how impressed we were with what we experienced and how we are so excited to have a new restaurant in closer proximity that is elevated above the establishments surrounding. Maybe they will level up since Chicks beach, east beach and ocean view all tend to have the same problem. And it IS a problem, great locations with less than mediocre food and beverages. We had post dinner drinks (I should have switched order but know for next time) Dirty laundry -Virago Oolong Gin, Mignonette Infused Blanc Vermouth, Sorghum and Salt Bitters - $16 Add a "bump" of Caviar for $12 but perfectly balanced with salt- I love a dirty martini and this was probably one of my favorites along with the caviar aside it. Honestly I'm not understanding the hype regarding this place, me and my girlfriend like to splurge every so often on new restaurants and we typically order a variety of items. This place is JUST OK. The interior is very nice and feels very upscale beach type of vibe. Service: Our server was actually very nice and energetic, we ordered appetizers that came out promptly but were left waiting for over 20 mins with empty appetizer plates and still hadn't ordered main dishes. Finally we hawked her down and got the orders in. I understand it was a full house but cmon. After that service was decent. FOOD: Pretty disappointed overall in their food, we ordered the Parker house rolls and Caesar for appetizers and both were JUST OK. We ordered the burger, Hot Honey Pizza, and Pork chop all of which I'd probably never order again. Burger - decent, can get a better one within 10mins of their restaurant Pork chop - actually pretty good but definitely not worth the $30+ price tag. Pizza - very mid wood-fired pizza and was pretty bland. Their sides saved the night... loaded potatoes - absolutely delicious, must try. Greens- pretty great Broccoli - great flavor and cooked well. Value: We spent around $150 excluding tip on these items plus a martini. Definitely on the more expensive side. Overall: 2.5 Everyone was nice, food was eh but they are supposed to be expanding the menu soon. for the price I can think of so many places I'd rather go. read more

The food was amazing and the service was great! I got the cheeseburger and fries and the bun was so light and the burger just melted in your mouth. It was so good. We shared the broccoli and rolls and loved them both. My husband had their special fish entree and he said it was one of the best seafood dishes he had in a while. read more
